Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar IPAS pada peserta didik di kelas IV SDN 130 Batunggal Sekelimus. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui proses pembelajaran menggunakan model discovery learning berbantuan quizizz, peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik yang menggunakan model discovery learning berbantuan quizizz, dan seberapa besar pengaruh model discovery learning dengan bantuan quizizz terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar IPAS di kelas IV SD. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam peneltian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi tes, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis, uji N-gain, uji-t, dan uji effect size. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model discovery learning berbantuan quizizz berjalan lancar. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Peningkatan hasil belajar dianalisis menggunakan N-gain ternormalisasi, dengan hasil 0,78 untuk kelas eksperimen dan 0,19 untuk kelas kontrol. Uji effect size menunjukkan hasil sebesar 0,24 yang diinterpretasikan sebagai kategori sangat kuat. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model discovery learning berbantuan quizizz memiliki pengaruh yang sangat besar terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar IPAS peserta didik kelas IV. This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes in IPAS among fourth-grade students at SDN 130 Batununggal Sekelimus. The purpose of this study is to understand the learning process using the discovery learning model assisted by Quizziz, the improvement of student learning outcomes using the discovery learning model assisted by Quizziz, and the extent of the effect of the discovery learning model assisted by Quizziz on improving IPAS learning outcomes in elementary school students. The research method used is a quasi-experiment with a nonequivalent control group design. Data collection techniques included tests, observations, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using normality tests, homogeneity tests, hypothesis testing, N-gain tests,t-test and effect size tests. Based on the research results, the learning process using the discovery learning model assisted by Quizziz ran smoothly. The analysis results showed that the post-test average of the experimental class was higher than that of the control class. The improvement in learning outcomes analyzed using normalized N-gain showed a result of 0.78 for the experimental class and 0.19 for the control class. The effect size test showed a result of 0.24, which is interpreted as a very strong category. Thus, it can be concluded that the discovery learning model assisted by Quizziz has a very large influence on improving IPAS learning outcomes among fourth-grade students.

Abstract

Indonesia is ranked 60th out of 61 countries in terms of reading interest according to the results of the World's Most Literate Nations Ranked research conducted by John W. Miller on 16 March 2016. Based on observation and research with the fifth grade teacher of SD Negeri Cikoneng, students find it difficult to learn literacy because they have to read slowly, lack of interest in books other than Thematic, and lack of motivation. The study aims to determine the application, effect, and improvement of Science and Technology Encyclopedia Book in improving Students' Reading Literacy assisted by Scouting Actualisation Model at SD Negeri Cikoneng. The research was conducted through a quantitative approach using the Quasi-Experiment method and the type of non-equivalent control group design with the object of research being grade V students in the 2022/2023 school year of SD Negeri Cikoneng. The research population was 25 male students and 31 female students and the research sample was 26 class A students as an experimental class with 12 boys and 14 girls and 30 class B students as a control class with 13 boys and 17 girls. The results showed that in the application of Science and Technology Encyclopedia Book Media to improve Student Reading Literacy assisted by the Scouting Actualisation Model at Cikoneng State Elementary School, students were able to read science and technology encyclopedia books. This is evidenced by the Mann Whitney U test score of 0.195. The results showed that there was an effect of science and technology encyclopedia book to improve students' reading literacy assisted by the Scouting Actualisation Model. This is evidenced by the results of the Mann Whitney U test score of 0.195. Then the results showed a moderate increase in students' reading literacy towards the Science and Technology Encyclopedia Book assisted by the Scouting Actualisation Model. This is evidenced by the N-Gain test of 0.62342440 or 62% increase in the experimental class and the Effect Size test resulted in a value of 0.244044919 which is in the medium category. Overall, it can be concluded that there is a positive influence in the use of the Science and Technology Encyclopedia Book assisted by the Scouting Actualisation Model on increasing student reading literacy. Through the Science and Technology Encyclopedia Book, students can apply and deepen their understanding of the material studied and is an effective approach to improving student reading literacy at SD Negeri Cikoneng.

Abstract

Educational transformation in the digital era requires teachers to master technological skills, particularly in utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) and interactive multimedia. Teachers are not only knowledge transmitters but also facilitators of learning who can provide innovative and adaptive learning experiences. This Community Service Program (PKM) was carried out with the aim of enhancing teachers’ competencies in Bandung City in using the H5P and Edpuzzle platforms integrated with the Deep Learning approach. The methods applied included needs analysis, training, mentoring, and continuous evaluation. A total of 30 junior high school teachers actively participated in this program over six months. The results showed that 85% of teachers were able to integrate AI into lesson planning, 78% successfully produced innovative learning media using H5P and Edpuzzle, and 72% demonstrated improved reflective abilities in implementing the Deep Learning Approach. This mentoring contributed to increased student participation, strengthened critical thinking skills, and improved learning motivation. These outcomes indicate that the integration of AI and interactive multimedia can serve as an effective strategy in realizing 21st-century learning that is collaborative, creative, and student-centered.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of Value Clarification Technique (VCT) to ecoliteracy and critical thinking skills of elementary school students in learning Social Science. The method used in this study is a quasi experimental design with non-equivalent control group design, using the two study groups. Subjects in this study were students of class IVSDN Cijerah Indah, Bandung Kulon District Bandung City. The experimental group was given the treatment of learning Value Clarification Technique (VCT) and the control group was given conventional learning. The results showed that in general there is a difference between learners ecoliteracy experimental class and control class and critical thinking skills among learners experimental class and control class after each class has been getting treatment that has been set.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model Project Based Learning (PjBL) berbantuan Linoit terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada pembelajaran IPA kelas V SDN Burujulwetan II. Metode penelitian menggunakan quasi experiment dengan desain non-equivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 42 peserta didik yang ditentukan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, terdiri atas 21 siswa kelas eksperimen yang belajar dengan PjBL berbantuan Linoit dan 21 siswa kelas kontrol dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes berpikir kritis yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol, yang ditunjukkan oleh nilai gain score rata-rata 0,65 (kategori sedang) pada kelas eksperimen dan 0,32 (kategori rendah) pada kelas kontrol. Dengan demikian, penerapan PjBL berbantuan Linoit menunjukkan pengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada konteks pembelajaran IPA kelas V SDN Burujulwetan II.

Abstract

Mastery of basic concepts of the Indonesian language plays a crucial role in supporting the academic and professional success of education students, particularly in the digital era characterized by the rapid development of information and communication technology. The digital era has brought significant changes to students’ language practices, which are indicated by the increasing use of informal language and the neglect of linguistic norms in academic contexts. This study aims to examine the urgency of mastering basic concepts of the Indonesian language for education students in the digital era and its implications for strengthening academic literacy and the professional readiness of prospective teachers. This research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method through the analysis of reference books, scholarly journal articles, and relevant educational policy documents. The findings indicate that mastery of basic Indonesian language concepts serves as a foundation for academic literacy that influences critical thinking skills, argumentative ability, and linguistic accuracy among education students. Furthermore, digital literacy that is not supported by strong conceptual language understanding has the potential to reduce the quality of academic language. Therefore, strengthening the mastery of basic Indonesian language concepts in higher education is a strategic necessity to prepare education students who are adaptive, critical, and professionally competent in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the Wayground media-assisted Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model, to assess the improvement in students' learning outcomes, and to measure the magnitude of the effect of implementing this model on students' learning outcomes in 4th-grade elementary school IPAS (Science and Social Studies) learning. This study employed a quantitative approach with an experimental method and a quasi-experimental design. The research subjects were 4th-grade elementary school students, divided into an experimental class and a control class. Data collection was conducted through learning outcome tests, observations, and documentation. The data were analyzed using statistical tests to determine the difference in learning outcome improvement between the two groups. This study is expected to prove that the application of the Wayground media-assisted Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model can significantly improve students' learning outcomes compared to conventional learning. Furthermore, the results of this study are expected to serve as a reference for teachers in implementing more innovative, interactive, and student-centered learning, thereby enhancing the quality of IPAS learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Textbooks exert minimal influence on learning outcomes, underscoring the urgent need to develop high-quality, context-responsive teaching materials for prospective educators. This study designed, validated, and evaluated Realistic Mathematics Education (RME)-based instructional materials using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) framework. Participants included 60 prospective teachers from Pasundan University, randomly assigned to experimental (RME-based materials) and control (conventional textbook) groups. Data were collected through observations, questionnaires, and achievement tests, with ANOVA used for analysis. Expert validation scores were high: material experts (91.86%), learning model experts (92.58%), and peers (92.40%), confirming strong validity. Practicality was similarly high, with small-group and large-group student assessments scoring 92.40% and 92.03%, respectively. Post-intervention, the experimental group outperformed the control group significantly (mean scores: 91.8 vs. 69.5; Δ = 22.3), supported by robust statistical evidence: F(1,47) = 45.07, p < 0.001, η² = 0.49, Cohen’s d = 1.39—indicating a large effect size. Findings confirm the RME-based materials are valid, practical, and highly effective in improving prospective teachers’ learning outcomes. Broader implementation and adaptation to other mathematics topics are strongly recommended.

Abstract

This research is motivated by students in elementary schools who lack critical thinking skills. The purpose of this study is to find out how to influence and improve students' critical thinking skills after using the Problem Based Learning model for fifth grade students at SD Negeri Jelekong, Kp Ninerang, Jelekong Village, Baleendah District, Bandung Regency, Academic Year 2022/2023. Therefore the researcher was interested and took the title "The Influence of the Problem Based Learning Model in Improving the Critical Thinking Ability of Fifth Grade Students at Jelekong Elementary School." This study used a quantitative research type with a quasi-experimental method and nonequivalent control group design. On theme 8, sub-theme 3. The population used was all fifth grade students at SD Negeri Uglyong. VA class as the control class and VB class as the experimental class. Both classes will be given an initial test (pretest) and a final test (posttest). In this study using a test instrument in the form of multiple choice of 20 questions. The results of pretest data processing in the control class obtained an average of 55.17 with a standard deviation of 13.357 and the control class obtained an average value of 58.33 with a standard deviation of 16.522. The results of the posttest for the experimental class obtained a value of 83.67 with a standard deviation of 7.980 and the control class obtained a value of 56.00 with a standard deviation of 17.636. For the results of hypothesis testing using the t test obtained sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000. So it can be concluded that the ability of the Problem Based Learning model can improve the critical thinking skills of elementary school students.
