Abstract

ABSTRACT: Chronic urticaria may decrease the quality of life as a result of complaints of sleep disturbance due to the intense itching, fatigue, social isolation, loss of energy, and emotional or sexual disorders. Quality of life in patients with chronic urticaria can be assessed using the dermatology life quality index. The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between the clinical severity of urticaria and dermatology life quality in patients with chronic urticaria in RSUD Ulin Banjarmasin. The research used analytic observational method with cross-sectional approach. Thirty subjects were taken with purposive sampling. The data were collected with validated dermatology quality of life index questionnaire. The result showed that 60% patients diagnosed with chronic urticaria had mild clinical severity and 40% had severe clinical severity. In patients diagnosed with chronic urticaria, 36.67% had poor quality of life, 43.33% had moderate quality of life, and 20.00% had good quality of life. Statistical analysis with chi-square test with 95% confidence level indicated that there was a significant relationship between the clinical severity of urticaria and dermatology quality of life (p = 0.006). It was concluded that there was a relationship between the clinical severity of urticaria and dermatology quality of life in patients with chronic urticaria in RSUD Ulin Banjarmasin. Keywords: clinical severity, chronic urticaria, dermatology quality of life ABSTRAK: Urtikaria kronik dapat menurunkan kualitas hidup sebagai dampak keluhan gangguan tidur akibat intensitas gatal yang hebat, keletihan, isolasi sosial, kehilangan energi, dan gangguan emosional atau seksual. Kualitas hidup pada penderita urtikaria kronik dapat dinilai menggunakan indeks kualitas hidup dermatologi. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat keparahan klinik urtikaria dengan kualitas hidup dermatologi pada penderita urtikaria kronik di RSUD Ulin Banjarmasin. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan metode observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Subyek penelitian diambil dengan metode purposive sampling sebanyak 30 pasien. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner indeks kualitas hidup dermatologi yang telah divalidasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penderita urtikaria kronik menunjukkan tingkat keparahan klinik ringan sebanyak 60% dan tingkat keparahan klinik berat sebanyak 40%. Pada pasien yang didiagnosis urtikaria kronis, 36,67% memiliki kualitas hidup buruk, 43,33%  kualitas hidup sedang, dan 20,00% kualitas hidup baik. Analisis statistik dengan uji Kolmogorov-Smirnov dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95% menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan bermakna antara tingkat keparahan klinik urtikaria dengan kualitas hidup dermatologi (p = 0,006). Disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara tingkat keparahan klinik urtikaria dengan kualitas hidup dermatologi pada penderita urtikaria kronik di RSUD Ulin Banjarmasin. Kata-kata kunci: tingkat keparahan klinik, urtikaria kronik, kualitas hidup dermatologi

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah program bantuan langsung tunai (BLT) kesejahteraan masyarakat pada masa pandemi covid-19 di Kecamatan Peukan Baro Kabupaten Pidie. Penelitian ini dimulai dari bulan April sampai dengan bulan Juni 2021. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 35 responden dari perwakilan populasi1591keluarga penerima manfaat (KPM) yang tersebar di 6 mukim Kecamatan Peukan Baro Kabupaten Pidie. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan selanjutnya data ditabulasi dan dijelaskan secara deskriptif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis kualitatif dan analisis kuantitatif serta metode regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program bantuan langsung tunai (BLT) dana desa tidak berpengaruh terhadap kesejahteraan masyarakat. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari nilai signifikansi 0,106 lebih besar dari nilai probabilitas 0,05. Tidak berpengaruhnya program Bantuan Langsung Tunai (BLT) dana desa terhadap kesejahteraan masyarakat disebabkan program Bantuan Langsung Tunai (BLT) dana desa tidak memberikan perubahan kesejahteraan hidup kepada masyarakat Kecamatan Peukan Baro, karena masyarakat setempat memiliki penghasilan sendiri untuk mencukupi kehidupan sehari-harinya, selain itu jumlah dana yang diberikan tidak begitu besar sehingga Bantuan Langsung Tunai (BLT) dana desa tidak begitu memberikan kontribusi pada kebutuhan hidup masyarakat.

Abstract

This narrative study aims to explain the role of faith teachersin improving students morals in the era of society5.0. the data in this research was obtained from the results of a semi structured interview with a teacher of moral beliefs. This study found three important data themes, namely the impact of technology on student morals, problems experienced by teachersin inimproving student morals, and efforts made by teachers to improve students moral. It it hoped that these findings will provide solution information students morals in this era of society.

Abstract

Principal communication is the process of conveying information to teachers and forwarded to students. The purpose of this study was to determine the principal's communication, including: Teacher professionalism; Teacher discipline; and Teacher responsibility. Qualitative approach with descriptive method. In terms of data collection is through literature study, literature study is the initial step in the data collection method. Literature study is a data collection method that is directed at finding data and information through documents, both written documents, photographs, images, and electronic documents that can support the writing process. The subjects of the study were teachers, principals, and school committees at Madrasah Aliyah Islamiyah Sunggal. The results of the study found: Principal communication in improving teacher professionalism is conveying messages to teachers both verbally and in writing; Principal communication in improving teacher discipline is providing exemplary examples by attending school on time; Principal communication in improving teacher responsibility is interpersonal communication, communication in solving problems in learning by coordinating and finding solutions with the school committee and supervisor, and the relevant Education Office. It is expected that the committee and the principal can provide encouragement and guidance in teacher performance regarding professionalism, discipline and teacher responsibility effectively and efficiently so that it can improve teacher performance in schools.

Abstract

This community service activity had been held for 1st grade elementary school of SD Muhammadiyah Banda Aceh during June 2022. The use of puppet and storytelling in introducing basic English is an interesting and fun activity for children. This activity aimed to make the participants able to understand basic English quickly which can be used as a stepping stone to understand English daily. The methodology used was the lecture method using puppet in the form of cards that have been attached to ice cream sticks and colored. The materials provided were alphabets, numbers and colors, then followed by storytelling using other puppets entitled The bear and friends. The results obtained that the participants were very enthusiastic and able to catch the material quickly, this can be seen when the participants could answer all the questions about the materials provided.Keyword: Puppet story, basic English, community service

Abstract

The recruitment and selection process of teachers in educational institutions plays a crucial role in determining the quality of education provided to students. In the context of an ever-evolving education system, the challenges of finding competent educators have become increasingly complex. Various studies indicate that effective recruitment can contribute to the enhancement of teaching and learning quality. Therefore, optimizing this process is essential to meet the demand for quality education. This research aims to explore and analyze optimal strategies in the recruitment and selection process of teachers based on a literature review of related books and journals. By understanding existing best practices, this study is expected to provide recommendations that can be implemented by educational institutions to improve the effectiveness of their recruitment and selection processes. The methodology used in this research is a qualitative approach with a literature analysis. Data were collected through a systematic review of books and journals discussing teacher recruitment and selection. The analysis process involved identifying key themes emerging from various sources, as well as comparing and contrasting findings from existing literature to gain a comprehensive understanding of effective practices. The findings of this study indicate that the optimization of the teacher recruitment and selection process can be achieved through several strategies, including the use of more objective assessment tools, the development of clear selection criteria, and community involvement in the recruitment process. Additionally, this research also highlights the importance of training for selection committees to enhance their ability to assess teacher candidates holistically. The recommendations generated from this study are expected to contribute positively to educational institutions in their efforts to improve the quality of educators.

Abstract

Learning planning plays a role in optimizing the use of learning time. Teachers can organize logical learning sequences, prioritize important learning topics, and avoid wasting time. This allows teachers to cover all aspects of learning well. Learning planning also has an impact on learning evaluation. Teachers can plan evaluations that are in line with learning objectives, use valid evaluation instruments, and collect accurate data about student achievement. With a good evaluation, teachers can see to what extent learning objectives are achieved, identify students' weaknesses and strengths, and make necessary improvements in teaching. Overall, learning planning has an important role in improving the quality of teaching. With good planning, teachers can direct teaching more effectively, provide learning experiences that are relevant and appropriate to student needs, and ensure that learning objectives are achieved well.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the strategies implemented by teachers to increase students’ reading interest at SD Swasta Annysa. Reading interest among elementary students in Indonesia remains relatively low, influenced by the widespread use of digital technology and limited family support for reading habits at home. The study applied a qualitative approach with a case study method, involving in-depth interviews with teachers and documentation of literacy activities at school. The findings revealed that teachers face various challenges, including students’ preference for gadgets over books and the lack of parental involvement in fostering reading habits at home. To address these issues, teachers introduced strategies such as daily 15-minute reading sessions before lessons and encouraging students to retell what they have read in front of the class. These methods not only build reading routines but also enhance students' comprehension and verbal communication skills. This study highlights the crucial role of collaboration among schools, teachers, parents, and the wider community in cultivating a sustainable and effective reading culture. The results of this research are expected to serve as a practical reference for educators in developing literacy strategies that are contextual and aligned with the needs of elementary students in the digital era.

Abstract

The Banjarmasin City Government has innovated its services by creating the "Banjarmasin Pintar" application, which is part of Banjarmasin's smart city programme. The mobile application PARAK ACIL (Population Registration and Civil Registration Services) Online is a public service application designed for residents to access services, particularly those provided by the Population and Civil Registration Office of Banjarmasin City. This study aims to examine the socialisation efforts conducted by the Population and Civil Registration Office of Banjarmasin City regarding the PARAK ACIL mobile application. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews with 6 informants, and documentation. The data was analysed using Cresswell's method, which involves organising and preparing the data, reviewing the overall data, creating codes, and using those codes to develop descriptions, then connecting and interpreting the data. The results of the study indicate that the socialisation process of the PARAK ACIL Online mobile application in Banjarmasin City has been fairly optimal. However, there are still residents who prefer to visit the Population and Civil Registration Office in person, indicating the need for enhanced and modernised socialisation techniques that align with current trends. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the principal’s leadership style on teachers’ work motivation at SMP Al-Washliyah 5 Hamparan Perak. The principal’s leadership plays a strategic role in directing, motivating, and creating a conducive working environment to support teachers in performing their professional duties effectively. Teachers’ work motivation is a crucial factor affecting their performance, commitment, and professionalism in the teaching and learning process. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to teachers as respondents and analyzed using inferential statistical techniques. The results indicate that the principal’s leadership style has a significant effect on teachers’ work motivation. These findings suggest that the more effective the leadership style applied by the principal, the higher the level of teachers’ work motivation in carrying out their responsibilities. Therefore, principals are expected to implement appropriate, participative, and human-resource-oriented leadership styles to enhance teachers’ motivation and improve the quality of education in schools.
