Abstract

Along with Indonesia, the COVID-19 outbreak has expanded across the globe. All facets of community life are affected by this disruption, including the educational system, which shifts from face-to-face instruction to online distance learning. To break the link of the COVID-19 outbreak's spread, the West Sumatra PGRI STKIP campus has made changes to the educational system. Without having to travel to a campus, students can learn online from the comfort of their own homes. However, this causes students to have issues with internet networks, quota availability, and understanding in the classroom. The goal of this study was to describe the methods used by students to deal with challenges presented by online learning in the COVID-19 program. The idea put forth between COVID-19 outbreaks. Constructivism theory was the one that was employed. Additionally, this study takes a qualitative descriptive technique to offer information about students' online learning strategies. Twenty students and five professors served as the study's informants. using Matthew Milles and Huberman's interactive model to analyze the data after gathering it through interviews and documentation. The study's findings show that students always provide a quota before classes begin, opt for a place where they can easily access the internet, question friends about concepts they don't understand, read articles and tutorials on YouTube, and always have memory available.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini dilakukan kepada guru-guru di SMPN 3, Kecamatan IV Jurai, Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan, Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 09 Januari 2025. Tema pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah Peningkatan Profesionalisme Guru melalui Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) di SMPN 3 IV Jurai Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan Propinsi Sumatera Barat”. Dalam konteks perbaikan mutu pendidikan, sub unsur kegiatan pengembangan  keprofessian berkelanjutan  dengan membuat  Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) diharapkan dapat mendorong guru untuk dapat memperbaiki proses pembelajaran di kelasnya. Dengan begitu guru lebih layak disebut telah bertindak profesional. Bagi guru, menulis adalah bagian dari pengembangan profesi. Dengan metode pengabdian dilakukan dengan dua cara yaitu metode ceramah dan pelatihan. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini diharapkan para guru mampu meningkatkan  profesionalisme guru secara berkelanjutan dan meningkatkan mutu proses pembelajaran melalui pelatihan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas di SMP Negeri 3 IV Jurai Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan.

Abstract

The Independent Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka) has been implemented at SMPN 1 Kecamatan IV Jurai, Pesisir Selatan Regency since the 2022/2023 academic year. The school has conducted workshops at the beginning of each semester to socialize the Independent Curriculum and develop teaching materials in the form of teaching modules. Teachers have also created belajar.id accounts and joined subject-specific communities both within the school and in communities across the regency. This study is motivated by several challenges encountered in implementing the Independent Curriculum, particularly in differentiated learning. These challenges include teachers’ difficulties in recognizing and understanding the individual needs of each student, such as their skill levels, interests, learning styles, and learning preferences. Additionally, teachers face challenges in developing diverse teaching materials that meet students’ needs. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the implementation of differentiated learning within the Independent Curriculum at SMPN 3 Kecamatan IV Jurai, Pesisir Selatan Regency. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The informants consist of the principal, curriculum vice-principal, student affairs vice-principal, and eight teachers at SMPN 1 Kecamatan IV Jurai, selected using purposive sampling. The data consist of primary and secondary data collected through interviews and document studies. Data analysis follows the interactive model by Miles and Huberman, which includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate several stages in implementing differentiated learning: 1) understanding students through diagnostic tests, both academic and non-academic; 2) formulating learning objectives; 3) developing differentiated learning strategies; and 4) using ongoing assessment. Three approaches are applied in differentiated learning at SMPN 3 Kecamatan IV Jurai, Pesisir Selatan Regency: content differentiation, process differentiation, and product differentiation.

Abstract

Education is a conscious and planned effort to create a learning atmosphere and process so that students actively develop their potential to possess spiritual and religious strength, self-control, personality, intelligence, noble character, and the skills needed by themselves and society. This study also aims to determine the effectiveness of implementing interactive media and its impact on learning outcomes in social studies at MTsN 6 Lima Puluh Kota. This study used qualitative methods. Qualitative research is a research approach that aims to explore and understand social phenomena, behavior, experiences, and individual perspectives. The population and sample of the researcher selected seventh-grade students as the research objects. The informants for this study were the social studies teacher, students, and the curriculum vice principal. Data collection techniques were conducted through interviews, observation, and documentation with the social studies teacher and seventh-grade students. The results of this study indicate that PowerPoint-based interactive media can increase student engagement in the learning process, facilitate understanding of the material, and create a more interesting and enjoyable learning atmosphere. However, there are several obstacles such as limited facilities and teacher skills in developing interactive media. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of interactive PowerPoint media has positive potential in increasing the effectiveness of social studies learning, provided it is supported by adequate training and facilities. ABSTRAKPendidikan adalah usaha sadar dan terencana untuk mewujudkan suasana belajar dan proses pembelajaran agar peserta didik secara aktif mengembangkan potensi dirinya untuk memiliki kekuatan spiritual keagamaan, pengendalian diri, kepribadian, kecerdasan, akhlak mulia serta ketrampilan yang diperlukan dirinya dan masyarakat. Dan juga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas penerapan media interaktif serta dampaknya terhadap hasil belajar mata pelajaran IPS di MTsN 6 Lima Puluh Kota. Penelitian ini mengunakan metode kualitatif. Penelitian kualitatif adalah pendekatan penelian yang bertujuan untuk mengali dan memehami fenomena sosisal,prilaku,pengalaman,dan presspektif individu. Populasi dan sampelnya peneliti mengambil objek penelitian di kelas VII.  Informan penelitian ini berkaitan dengan guru IPS, Siswa, dan Waka kurikulum. Teknik pengumpulan data di lakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi terhadap guru mata pelajaran IPS sertasiswa kelas VII. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa media interaktif berbasis powerpoint mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses belajar, mempermudah pemahaman materi, serta menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih menarik dan menyenangkan. Namun demikian, terdapat beberapa kendala seperti keterbatasan fasilitas dan keterampilan guru dalam mengembangkan media yang interaktif. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengunaan media powerpoint interaktif memiliki potensi positif dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran IPS, asalkan di dukung dengan pelatihan dan sarana yang memadai.

Abstract

Permasalahan sosial yang sering terjadi di sekitar kita, salah satunya yaitu anak terlantar. Masalah anak terlanta merupakan isu kompleks yang membutuhkan penanganan yang komprehensif yang mencakup aspek fisik, psikologis, sosial, memberikan pelayanan rehabilitas sosial guna memulihkan fungsi sosial anak terlantar dan bersosialisasi kembali ketengah masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisi simplementasi rehabilitas sosial untuk Anak terlantar di Balai Besar Pendidikan dan Pelatihan Kesejahteraan Sosial (BBPPKS) Kota Padang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus yang dianalisis dalam paradigma deskriptif-analitis. Data dikumpulkan melalui proses wawancara mendalam, observasi non partisipatif, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa implementasi rehabilitas sosial di BBPPKS Kota Padang melibatkan beberapa tahapan, mulai dari asesmen awal penyusunan rencana intervensi, pelaksanan program bimbingan (fisik, mental, sosial, danspritual), hingga reintegrasisosial. Meskipun memiliki beberapa tantangan dalam pelaksanaanya, seperti ketebatasan sumber daya manusia.Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah pentingnya penguatan kolaborasi antar lembaga, peningkatan kapasitas pekerja sosial, dan edukasi publik dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang lebih inklusif bagi anak terlantar. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan kebijakan dan praktik rehabilitas sosial anak di Indonesia.  Neglected children remain one of the significant social issues frequently encountered in communities. This matter is complex, demanding an integrated approach that addresses physical, psychological, and social dimensions. Social rehabilitation programs play a key role in restoring the social functioning of these children and enabling their reintegration into society. The present research seeks to examine how such rehabilitation is implemented for neglected children at the Center for Social Welfare Education and Training (BBPPKS) in Padang City. Employing a qualitative methodology and a case study design, the investigation was framed within a descriptive–analytical perspective. Data collection relied on in-depth interviews, non-participant observations, and document reviews. Findings reveal that the social rehabilitation process at BBPPKS Padang comprises several phases, beginning with an initial needs assessment and intervention planning, followed by the delivery of comprehensive guidance services covering physical, mental, social, and spiritual support, and concluding with the reintegration of the children into their social environment. Despite notable achievements, implementation faces challenges such as limited human resources. The study underscores the necessity of strengthening inter-agency cooperation, enhancing the skills and capacity of social workers, and raising public awareness to foster a more inclusive environment for neglected children. Ultimately, the outcomes of this study are intended to inform and support the development of more effective policies and practices in child social rehabilitation across Indonesia.

Abstract

This research was motivated by low student enthusiasm and concentration in Social Studies (IPS) learning at SMP Negeri 1 Sutera, Pesisir Selatan Regency. This condition is evident in the high number of students exhibiting symptoms of boredom, such as wandering in and out of class, feeling sleepy, and being inactive during the learning process. This study aims to analyze the impact of implementing icebreakers on the Social Studies learning process, specifically in improving attention, concentration, and creating a pleasant learning atmosphere in grade VIII.6. This research used a qualitative approach with a field study method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies with 11 informants consisting of curriculum representatives, Social Studies teachers, Civics teachers, and students in grades VIII.6 and VIII.5. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the implementation of icebreakers had a positive impact on the Social Studies learning process. Students became more focused, active, and enthusiastic in participating in the learning process. The classroom atmosphere became more dynamic and enjoyable, thereby reducing boredom and increasing interaction between teachers and students. Thus, ice breaking has proven to be effective as a strategy to create interactive and meaningful learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini di latar belakangi bahwa masalah terhadap minat baca siswa di SMP 2 Sitiung masih rendah sehingga sekolah perlu mengembangkan gerakan literasi sekolah tersebut agar meningkatkan minat baca pada siswa. Adapun tujuan dalam penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan program literasi sekolah dan minat baca siswa di SMP N 2 Sitiung.Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu teori struktural fungsional Talcott Parsons dengan skema AGIL, teori ini dapat membantu memahami bagaimana gerakan literasi sekolah dapat menciptakan keseimbangan antara berbagai kebutuhan dan kepentingan dalam komunikasi sekolah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kualitatif tipe deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumen. Jenis data yang digunakan yaitu data primer dan data sekunder. Informan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 17 orang. Unit analisis dalam penelitian ini adalah kelompok sedangkan analisis data yaitu pengumpulan data, data reduction (reduksi data), data display (Penyajian data) dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian Analisis Gerakan Literasi Sekolah Dalam Meningkatkan Minat Membaca Siswa di SMP N 2 Sitiung terdapat Program Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS) di SMP 2 Sitiung terdiri dari tiga tahap utama: pembiasaan, pengembangan, dan pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi terjadinya perubahan kurikulum yang digunakan di sekolah dari kurikulum 2013 ke kurikulum merdeka sesuai dengan surat edaran Keputusan Kemendikbudristek RI Nomor 56/M/2022 tentang pedoman penerapan kurikulum dalam rangka pemulihan pembelajaran, karena pandemi Covid-19 yang melanda Indonesia. Salah satu sekolah yang berencana melaksanakan kurikulum merdeka tersebut adalah SMAN 1 Padanga Sago Kabupaten Pariaman. Untuk itu, tentu dibutuhkan berbagai persiapan dalam pelaksanaannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis persiapan-persiapan yang dilakukan pihak sekolah guna melaksanakan kurikulum merdeka tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan studi dokumen. Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman yaitu mulai dari pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan beberapa persiapan yang dilakukan di SMA Negeri 1 Padang Sago Kabupaten Padang Pariaman untuk melaksanakan kurikulum merdeka adalah sebagai berikut; 1. Melakukan registrasi sekolah untuk melaksanakan kurikulum merdeka, 2. Studi banding ke sekolah penggerak, 3. Mengadakan lokakarya kurikulum merdeka di sekolah, 4. Masuk komunitas belajar mata pelajaran, 5. Pemanfaatan akun belajar id, dan 6. Mengikuti webinar kurikulum merdeka dari berbagai platform secara online.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low self-confidence of students and students were not active in participating in learning, students tended not to raise their hands and students tended to be silent, as evidenced by subject grades that were below average. Students are not enthusiastic about learning and are less responsive, resulting in low levels of student confidence. The type of research used is quantitative descriptive research. The influence of the use of rewards on students self- confidence in social studies subjects at SMP Negeri 11 Solok Selatan is based on the results of the research hypothesis with a large significance of 0.05 (a=5%) or (0.000 <0.05), which means that this data has a significant influence. So the reward use variable has a positive and significant effect on students' self-confidence in social studies subjects at SMP Negeri 11 Solok Selatan. The results of this research were dominated by female respondents at 50.7%. The contribution of the use of rewards to students' self-confidence in social studies subjects at SMP Negeri 11 Solok Selatan is 20.3%. Based on the research that has been carried out, this means that the use of rewards has a big role in increasing students' self-confidence, so that the goals of social studies learning at SMP Negeri 11 Solok Selatan can be achieved and get satisfactory resultsSo the reward use variable has a positive and significant effect on students' self-confidence in social studies subjects at SMP Negeri 11 Solok Selatan. Abstract

Pengabdian ini dilakukan kepada guru-guru di SDN 02 Sialang yang terletak di Nagari Sialang, Kecamatan Kapur IX, Kabupaten Limapuluh Koto, Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 3 Juli 2024. Tema pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah Pelatihan Implementasi Konsep Proyek Penguatan Profil Siswa Pancasila Dalam Pembelajaran di SDN 02 Sialang. Penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka cenderung baru sehingga tentu saja pemahaman dan penerapannya membutuhkan waktu, terutama dalam pelaksanaan Proyek Penguatan Profil Siswa Pancasila. Dengan metode pengabdian dilakukan dengan dua cara yaitu metode ceramah dan pelatihan.
