Abstract

Green mustard or often also called mustard meatball is a vegetable commodity that has good opportunities or prospects to be cultivated in urban areas using polybag media. Chicken manure contains a lot of N element which is very good for leaf growth. While compound fertilizer NPK 16:16:16 is perfect because it has immediate nutrients such as Nitrogen, Phospot and Potassium which these nutrients will stimulate plant growth. This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of giving chicken manure and compound fertilizer NPK 16:16:16 on the growth and production of mustard (brassica chinensis var. Parachinensis). This study used a randomized block design with 2 treatment factors and 3 replications. Which factor I consists of 4 levels A0 = No chicken manure A1 = Chicken manure 10 tons/ha (equivalent to 15 g/polybag), A2 = Chicken manure 20 tons/ha (equivalent to 30 g/polybag), A3 = Chicken manure 30 tons/ha (equivalent to 45 g/polybag) while the second factor consists of 3 levels, namely N0 without NPK fertilizer N1 = NPK fertilizer 450 kg/ha (equivalent to 0.675 g/polybag) N2 = NPK fertilizer 900 kg/ha (equivalent to 1.35 g/polybag), resulting in 12 combinations. Furthermore, the research parameters were seen from plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, root dry weight, root wet weight, biomass weight of the sample, wet weight of planting and root volume. So that the research results from the parameters seen there are only a few parameters that have a very significant effect such as leaf width and plant height. While the number of leaves and biomass weight of the sample had no effect, but not significant, while other parameters such as wet weight of planting, wet weight of roots, dry weight of roots and root volume had no effect, therefore to get more optimal results it is recommended to conduct further research. Key words : Chicken manure, compound fertilizer NPK 16:16:16, green mustard

Abstract

Lemon lime is one of the horticultural plants that have higher bioactive compounds than lime. Lemon is very much in demand by the public because it contains vitamins, minerals and fiber, besides that it is also often used as a flavor enhancer in regional specialties, so it has a fairly high economic value. The demand is so much that it is difficult for farmers to meet market demand, this is because the lemon cultivation system is so difficult.One way to propagate lemon lime plants can be done by shoot cuttings, namely in this way lemons are easier to root and have lower levels of phenolic compounds which act as factors that support root initiation on cuttings This research aims to find out there is an influence of natural ZPT (coconut water) on the success of Lemon shoot cuttings, To find out there is an effect of giving artificial ZPT (BAP) to the success of Lemon shoot cuttings, To find out there is an interaction of natural ZPT (coconut water) and artificial ZPT (BAP) on the success of Lemon shoot cuttings. This research was conducted Jl. Quarantine Ujung Kec. Medan struggle Kel. Sidorame Barat I Medan. This study consisted of a Complete RandomIzed Block Design (RAK) consisting of 2 factors, namely: Natural ZPT Factor (A) namely: A0 (Control), A1 (150 mg / L), A2 (200 mg / L) and A3 (250 mg / L). While the artificial ZPT factor (B) is: B0 (Control), B1 (0.1 ml / polybag), B2 (0.3 ml / polybag) and B3 (0.5 ml / polybg) there are 16 combinations of treatment and 3 repeats. The results of this study showed that there was an effect of natural ZPT administration on observation of stem diameter, but had no noticeable effect on observation, plant height, number of leaves, length of buds and number of buds. There is no effect of artificial ZPT giving on all observation parameters. There is no interaction on the combination of natural ZPT and artificial ZPT against all observation parameters. Keywords: Lemon, Shoot Cuttings, Natural ZPT, Artificial ZPT.

Abstract

The mustard plant is one of the horticultural commodities that is popular with the public because it has high fiber and nutritional content so it has high economic selling value. Various cultivation techniques that can be done to increase mustard greens production are by applying liquid organic fertilizer which can increase plant growth and production. Liquid organic fertilizer is an organic fertilizer designed as a balanced food complete with macro and micro nutrients for various types of plants. This research aims to determine the effect of mustard greens growth and production on the provision of liquid organic fertilizer. This research used a non-factorial randomized block design (RAK) with 5 treatment levels. The first factor is the use of liquid organic fertilizer (P0: 0 cc/l; P1: 2 cc/l; P2: 4 cc/l; P3: 6 cc/l; P4: 8 cc/l).The results showed that liquid organic fertilizer had a significant effect on leaf area but had no significant effect on plant height. The most efficient concentration of liquid organic fertilizer for the growth and production of mustard greens is 6 cc/liter. Keywords : mustard greens, liquid organic fertilizer, growth

Abstract

Eggplant production in Indonesia remains relatively low and has not been able to meet market demands. Long-term use of inorganic fertilizers has led to declining organic matter content in soil, soil degradation, and environmental pollution. To address these issues, agricultural waste such as rice husk can be converted into charcoal or biochar to improve soil quality degraded by excessive use of chemical fertilizers. In addition to biochar as organic material, other organic inputs like liquid organic fertilizer can potentially improve soil physical properties. This research aims to determine the effect of giving rice husk biochar and the correct dose, to find out the effect of applying liquid organic fertilizer and the right concentration and to find out the interaction between giving rice husk biochar and liquid organic fertilizer on eggplant growth and production.The study employs a Randomized Block Design (RBD) factorial with 2 treatment factors. The first factor involves rice husk biochar application at 4 levels (A0: control, A1: 0.6 tons/ha or approximately 30 g/plant, A2: 1.2 tons/ha or approximately 60 g/plant, and A3: 1.8 tons/ha or approximately 90 g/plant). The second factor is liquid organic fertilizer application at 4 levels (B0: control, B1: 0.1 mg/l, B2: 0.3 mg/l, and B3: 0.5 mg/l). The results of the study indicate that rice husk biochar application can increase plant height and leaf number, the best dose for rice husk biochar is 90 g/plant.Application of liquid organic fertilizer has not been able to affect plant height and number of eggplant leaves. Keywords : eggplant, rice husk biochar, liquid organic fertilizer
