Abstract

Pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang berfokus pada Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) merupakah salah satu perubahan pembelajaran di sekolah pada saat ini. Pembelajaran di sekolah diharapkan lebih mendorong tumbuhnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa melalui penerapan HOTS. Tujuan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini adalah (1) peningkatan kemampuan guru dengan pengembangan materi dan soal HOTS, (2) peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, (3) peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran khususnya matematika di tingkat sekolah menengah atas. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan adalah pelatihan dengan pembekalan teori dan praktik disertai dengan pendampingan dalam penerapan subtansi, metode pembelajaran dan penilaian hasil belajar soal HOTS di kelas. Hasil dan dampak dari kegiatan dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber informasi dan pengetahuan guru mengenai pengembangan dan pembahasan soal-soal HOTS. Peserta PkM sebesar 84,26% menyatakan puas terhadap pemberian penjelasan kegiatan PkM yang dilakukan.

Abstract

Saat ini, teknologi di dunia pendidikan semakin berkembang. Kegiatan pembelajaran konvensional menggunakan metode ceramah mulai dikurangi dan diganti dengan media pembelajaran yang lebih canggih. Namun, sebagian besar guru matematika belum terbiasa menggunakan media yang berkaitan dengan software matematika seperti GeoGebra. Padahal software tersebut dapat membantu dalam pembelajaran matematika. Oleh karena itu, tim Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) Universitas Terbuka melakukan pelatihan software GeoGebra bagi guru dan siswa di SMA Dharma Karya. Kegiatan ini diawali dengan melakukan analisis kebutuhan melalui wawancara langsung kepada kepala sekolah dan para guru matematika. Kemudian, tim menyusun materi pengenalan software GeoGebra dan penggunaannya. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan dengan menyampaikan materi pengenalan GeoGebra dan penggunaannya.  Selain itu dilakukan pendampingan saat peserta mempraktekkan GeoGebra. Pada akhir kegiatan, tim PkM melakukan evaluasi melalui pengisian form evaluasi secara online dan wawancara. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan software GeoGebra dapat meningkatkan kompetensi para guru dan siswa.

Abstract

Abstract: The realization of credit proposed by customers is one of the essential factors for a bank. Moreover, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, credit realization shows the business conditions of prospective borrowers, whether they are in good condition or not. So, it is crucial to predict how many new debtors will achieve. In this article, forecasting the number of new debtors uses the Simple Moving Average and Double Exponential Smoothing methods based on actual data on the number of new debtors per month for 2019-2021. Furthermore, the performance of the two methods is compared by comparing the Mean Absolute Deviation and Mean Square Error values. The comparison results conclude that the Simple Moving Average method is better than the Double Exponential Smoothing for predicting the number of new debtors.            Keywords: double exponential smoothing; mean absolute deviation; mean square error; simple moving average; forecasting. Abstrak: Realisasi kredit yang diajukan oleh nasabah adalah salah satu faktor yang penting di dunia perbankan. Terlebih disaat adanya pandemi Covid-19, realisasi kredit memperlihatkan kondisi usaha para calon debitur, apakah dalam keadaan baik atau tidak. Sehingga penting untuk memprediksi berapa capaian jumlah debitur baru. Dalam artikel ini dilakukan peramalan jumlah debitur baru dengan metode Simple Moving Average dan Double Exponential Smoothing berdasarkan data aktual jumlah debitur baru per bulan tahun 2019-2021. Selanjutnya, dilakukan perbandingan performa kedua metode tersebut dengan cara membandingkan nilai dari Mean Absolute Deviation dan Mean Square Error. Hasil perbandingan yang diperoleh mengarah pada sebuah kesimpulan, yaitu metode Simple Moving Average lebih baik daripada Double Exponential Smoothing untuk meramalkan jumlah debitur baru Kata kunci: double exponential smoothing; mean absolute deviation; mean square error; simple moving average; peramalan.

Abstract

Perkembangan dan pertumbuhan manusia akan terhenti, sehingga berikutnya akan terjadi banyak perubahan pada fungsi tubuh manusia. Perubahan tersebut paling banyak terjadi pada wanita karena pada proses menua terjadi suatu fase yaitu fase menopause (Sasitorn, 2016). Menopause merupakan masa berhentinya menstruasi yang terjadi pada perempuan dengan rentang usia 48 sampai 55 tahun. Peristiwa Pre-menopause sering tidak menjadi perhatian bagi kebanyakan wanita karena dianggapnya sebagai peristiwa alami, sebagian kecil mengganggapnya sebagai sesuatu yang buruk, menopause juga dianggap sebagai hal yang tabu untuk dibicarakan secara terbuka. Hal ini dikarenakan dasar pengetahuan wanita tentang menopause masih sedikit sehingga wanita Pre-menopause enggan untuk mencaritahu tentang informasi tentang Pre-menopause. cara mengatasimasa menopauseketerlibatan pemerintah dan juga masyarakat dalam mengatasi masalah menopause antara lain bekerjasama dengan tim dari berbagai disiplin ilmu misalnya psikologi dan tenaga kesehatan melalui kegiatan posyandu lansia sebagai tempat efektif untuk memberikan informasi tentang Pre-menopause, menopause, dan pasca menopause. Peran bidan di komunitas diharapkan dapat memberikan konseling di wilayah kerjanya sebagai tempat yang efektif untuk memberikan informasi tentang Pre-menopause, menopause, dan pasca menopause.

Abstract

Population data is one of the absolute requirements that must be fulfilled by the Central Statistics Agency (Badan Pusat Statistik) to determine the grand design of development in the Province of Papua. However, the most complete and accurate source of population data comes from the results of a population census carried out every ten years. With long intervals and requiring costs, time, and effort, it will be more efficient and save time and effort if the number of residents can be estimated. Estimating the population required the proper method. Therefore, in this article, a comparison of Forward Newton-Gregory Polynomial Interpolation and Backward Newton-Gregory Polynomial Interpolation techniques is carried out to estimate the population of Papua Province. The estimated results of the two methods are compared by comparing the relative amount of error. The comparison results show that the relative error average of the Forward Newton-Gregory Polynomial Interpolation 0,014200679 is smaller than the relative error average of the Backward Newton-Gregory Polynomial Interpolation 0,047163677. So, it can be concluded that the Forward Newton-Gregory Polynomial Interpolation method is better than Backwards Newton-Gregory Polynomial Interpolation in predicting the population of Papua Province.

Abstract

Matematika merupakan salah satu disiplin ilmu yang menuntut pemikiran logis, kritis dan sistematis, sehingga tidak heran jika matematika menjadi momok bagi sebagian besar peserta didik. Di tengah pandemi Covid-19, pembelajaran matematika online dinilai kurang efektif. Hal ini dikarenakan sebagian peserta didik mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami matematika, untuk itu diperlukan bantuan pendampingan belajar matematika. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengurangi kesulitan belajar peserta didik sekaligus meningkatkan motivasi belajar di Desa Ardirejo, RT01/RW01 Kecamatan Panji, Situbondo. Kegiatan pendampingan belajar matematika dilakukan dengan memberikan bimbingan belajar matematika privat atau berkelompok yang dibagi menjadi beberapa kelompok sesuai dengan jenjang sekolah masing-masing. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pendampingan belajar matematika dilakukan 1 sampai 2 kali dalam seminggu yang dilakukan secara intensif selama satu bulan penuh. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pendampingan belajar matematika berjalan dengan lancar dan peserta didik terlihat senang dan bersemangat mengikuti kegiatan tersebut. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semangat dan motivasi mereka semakin meningkat. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berupa kegiatan pendampingan belajar matematika berhasil meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik di tengah pandemi Covid-19

Abstract

Queues usually occur because the number of consumers served exceeds capacity. Pindad General Hospital is a hospital that provides patient services and there are often queues to provide services. Pindad General Hospital has three service facilities with one queue, such as the Multi Channel Single Phase (MCSP) queuing process by implementing First Come First Served (FCFS) queuing. This research aims to analyze queuing methods and model the queuing system that occurs in the service section of Pindad General Hospital as a material study to evaluate the performance system at Pindad General Hospital. Data collection was carried out by observing the receptionist service. The data analysis was carried out by testing the distribution of patient arrivals and services to patients using the Kolmogorov Smirnov Test and conducting a steady state condition test. Then proceed with analyzing the data using the MCSP queuing system model to evaluate performance using the SPSS application. The results show that the queuing system modeling applied by Pindad General Hospital is the model. The three service facilities that are available really help the service performance at Pindad General Hospital, so there is no need for additional service facilities.

Abstract

High Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) is students' ability to process knowledge and ideas in a certain way to give them new knowledge and implications. The general perception regarding HOTS questions is that they are high-level questions. Most teachers adopt olympic questions as HOTS questions due to a misperception that HOTS questions are difficult, even though HOTS questions can be made in various difficulty levels: low, medium, and high. In addition, the substantive aspect of Mathematics, especially the application of Mathematics in life, is also one of the problems in developing HOTS questions. The method of implementing community service (PkM) is by training and assisting in preparing SMA-level Mathematics HOTS questions. The results of this PkM activity are: (1) Increased knowledge and understanding of teachers in the technique of developing HOTS questions which can be seen in an increase in the average pre-test and post-test results by 9%, (2) Improved mathematical skills in the use of concepts and applied Mathematics on HOTS questions. This can be seen from the questions made by the teachers in this PkM activity, and (3) the participants' satisfaction with this PkM activity is shown by the questionnaire results with a satisfaction range of 85.71% - 96.43%.

Abstract

Mathematics teachers must adapt to technological developments in the digital era. Among other problems related to learning mathematics, students tend to feel bored and uninterested in mathematics. At the same time, most teachers need help keeping up with fast technology developments. The solution offered is training and mentoring activities for using the GeoGebra software in mathematics learning in South Tangerang City in collaboration with the Subject Teacher Deliberation of Mathematics or MGMP. The material presented was about introducing GeoGebra, graphs, and function operations. Moreover, it was about solving linear programming, geometry, and calculus in GeoGebra. The pretest and posttest results showed increased participants' knowledge about GeoGebra utilization. This condition is indicated by the significance value of the t-test, which is less than 0.05 and less than 0.001. In addition, activity evaluation was carried out by filling out evaluation forms and interviews. The evaluation results show that the training and mentoring activities have enabled participants to gain new knowledge about the GeoGebra as needed in teaching mathematics in high school.

Abstract

In early 2020, the Covid-19 epidemic started in China, rapidly spreading across the globe, including Indonesia. Indonesian society is known for its diversity and complexity, making it difficult to predict trends in the number of infected, deceased, and recovered individuals. This study develops a Covid-19 transmission epidemic model, called SV EIAR, which accounts for interventions such as vaccination and the mudik tradition (the practice of returning to hometowns during Eid). In this model, the susceptible (S) compartment refers to the subpopulation of individuals who are susceptible to the virus, while vaccinated (V) represents those who have been vaccinated twice. The exposed (E) compartment includes individuals who are infected but still in the incubation period and unable to spread the virus. Infection (I) refers to individuals who are symptomatic, and asymptomatic (A) includes those who are infected but show no symptoms. Lastly, the recover (R) compartment represents individuals who have recovered from the infection. The analysis of the model involves identifying the reproduction number, estimating the disease-free and endemic equilibrium points, and analyzing their stability. Numerical simulations were carried out using Covid-19 transmission data from Indonesia to predict the trends of the infected and asymptomatic populations. The results suggest that the dynamics of Covid-19 cases are semi-stable in the susceptible (S), exposed (E), infected (I), and asymptomatic (A) compartments, meaning that these populations will increase over time. In a disease-free situation, the susceptible population (S) remains stable at a certain value, while other populations are stable at nearly zero. The susceptible population in the disease-free state is larger than during an epidemic, while other populations are smaller in the disease-free state compared to the epidemic. Additionally, the study found that vaccination can help reduce the transmission of Covid-19, while the practice of mudik can increase the spread of the virus.
