In particular, the specific targets to be achieved are as follows: (1). Implementing multicultural education in elementary Social Studies learning in elementary schools; (2). Knowing the responses of teachers and students to Social Studies learning based on multicultural education: (3). Improving the cultural literacy skills of elementary school students in Social Studies learning based on multicultural education. The research method used is qualitative. The research procedure was carried out through the following stages; the initial observation of the learning process, then in the implementation of the research a pretest was carried out to determine the student's initial knowledge, the implementation of Social Studies learning based on multicultural education, and giving a final test or posttest. The results of the study were based on the results of the pretest and post-test data processing of cultural literacy skills using the test instrument, the results showed that Social Studies learning based on multicultural education obtained a significant increase. This can be seen from the average value of student learning scores at the time of the pre-test which obtained a result of 65.00 and the post-test obtained an average score of 85.57. The average value of increasing students' cultural literacy is in the very good category and can be seen from the acquisition of the highest score during the posttest which reached a score of 95.00. From the results of the data analysis, it is known that there is an increase in the cultural literacy of fourth-grade elementary school students in Social Studies learning based on better multicultural education

Abstract

This research is conducted by problems in the field that learning mathematics in the material of adding fractions in elementary schools only accentuates arithmetic and memorization skills which resulting in low student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study is to improve student learning outcomes through the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning model assisted by transparent mika media. The research method used is Classroom Action Research Kemmis and Mc Taggart Models which consists of four step  that is planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation and written tests. The subjects of this study were fifth grade students at SDN 3  Jayalaksana with a total of 16 students. The material is about the operation of adding fractions. The results showed that there was an increase in student learning outcomes in the material for fraction addition operations. In the first cycle, the average student learning outcomes were 66, in the second cycle, the average student learning outcomes were 70, and in the third cycle, the average student learning outcomes were 80 with good predicate (B). Based on these results, it can be concluded that the application of the CTL model assisted by transparent mika media can improve the learning outcomes of fifth grade students in the fraction of addition.

Abstract

The background of this research is to improve the critical thinking skills of elementary school students by using the Problem Based Learning model. This research uses a mixed methods approach, with a sample of 5th-grade students and a population of 30, consisting of 14 female students and 16 male students. The data processing results show an average pretest score of 42.19, while the average posttest score is 86.28. Additionally, the normality test value for the pretest is 0.066, whereas for the posttest it is 0.50. Thus, in terms of significance, both values meet the normality test criteria of 0.05, meaning this research can be accepted. Qualitatively, this research is considered successful, with the note that there were difficulties or challenges faced, such as difficulties in understanding the learning material, and occasionally there are some students in a class whose understanding abilities are lacking. Therefore, the conclusion of this research is that there is an improvement with the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model.

Abstract

This study examines the improvement of cooperative skills using a cooperative learning model of the student team achievement division (STAD) type and students' responses to learning using the STAD type cooperative model. The research method used is a mixed method with an explanatory sequential design. This research was conducted in one of the elementary schools in Batujajar with a total of 31 students. In this model, a group is given treatment and then given observation of results and processes. The data collection technique in this study uses observation sheets, student response questionnaires. The data analysis technique uses a normality test and an N-gain test assisted by the SPSS application. Based on the results of the study, the STAD type cooperative training model in improving cooperation ability has increased, as seen based on the results of the N-gain test with a score of 0.43 with the medium category, with a percentage of pretest scores of 63% and an increase of 17% in the posttest results, which is 80%. The learning model is said to be effective if the N-gain score obtained > 0.3 in the medium category, and students show a good response while using the STAD-type cooperative model based on the results of the questionnaire with an average score of 85, 9 in the very good category.

Abstract

This research is entitled using the Think Pair Share cooperative learning model to improve the critical thinking skills of fifth grade elementary school students. This aim is to improve students' critical thinking skills, and students' responses to social studies learning material on Indonesian Community Economic Activities using the Think Pair Share (TPS) type cooperative learning model. This research uses a Mix Method or often called mixed method research between qualitative and quantitative, the design used is explanatory sequential. Data collection in this research used test, observation, interview and questionnaire techniques. In this study, the population taken was elementary school VC class students located at SD Negeri Cicalengka 03, totaling 39 students consisting of 13 male students and 26 female students. The results of data processing show that the average score obtained can be proven by the average result of the pretest class which was not given the TPS learning model getting an average score of 62.41 and the score obtained by the posttest class getting an average score of 86.28. The conclusion of this research can be interpreted as that Think Pair Share is more effective in improving the critical thinking power of fifth grade elementary school students.

Abstract

The background of this research is to improve the collaboration skills of elementary school students, using the Jigsaw type cooperative model. This research used a mix method, with a sample of class IV students and a population of 30, consisting of 16 female students and 14 male students. The results of research data processing show that the average pretest score is 42.19, while the average posttest score is 86.28. Apart from that, the pretest normality test value is 0.066 while the posttest is 0.427, so significantly both values have met the normality test criteria, namely 0.05, meaning this research is acceptable. Furthermore, qualitatively, this research can be said to be successful, noting that there are difficulties or obstacles faced by teachers during learning, namely when conditioning students in conditions of moving from home groups and expert groups, because the atmosphere in the classroom is not conducive. So the conclusion of this research is that there has been an improvement with the implementation of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model for elementary school students.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the improvement in speaking skills of class II elementary school students using the role playing model, students' responses to learning using the role playing model to improve students' speaking skills and teachers' obstacles in learning using the role playing learning model to improve participants' speaking skills. educate. This research uses a mix method with a sequential explanatory design. The subjects in this research were 38 class II students at an elementary school in Bandung Regency, consisting of 20 male students and 18 female students. The instruments used were pretest and posttest oral tests, student response questionnaire sheets and teacher and student interviews. The research results show that the role playing learning model is quite effective in improving students' speaking skills. This is proven by the results of the n-gain analysis of 73%, as well as the average score obtained by students from the pretest and posttest process , which was initially 51.97%, increased to 87.50%. The response given by students to learning using the role playing model obtained a score of 81% and was in very good qualifications. Meanwhile, the obstacles faced by teachers in learning are at the stage of conditioning students, requiring a long time, and directing students to appear in front of the class.
