Abstract

The aviation industry is one of the transportation sectors that has an important role in supporting community mobility and the economy of a country. PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk and PT AirAsia Indonesia are two airline companies in Indonesia that offer a variety of flight services with different market segmentations. The Indonesian aviation industry has experienced a negative impact due to Covid-19, where at the national level the flow of passengers from cargo has decreased quite fantastically from March 2020 to April 2020. Not only at the national level these two airlines also experienced a decrease in the number of passengers during the pandemic in 2020 and 2021, causing these two airlines to experience a significant decrease in revenue and profit in that period which had an impact on the ability of these two airlines to meet financial obligations and maintain their financial performance. This study attempts to assess the financial performance of PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk and PT AirAsia Indonesia by using Liquidity Ratio analysis which includes Current Ratio, Quick Ratio, Cash Ratio, Cash Turnover Ratio and Inventory to Net Working Capital, with data taken from financial statements for the 2019-2023 period. Both airlines experienced a significant decline based on five main financial ratios. The liquidity ratios of both companies are low which indicates difficulty in meeting short-term obligations.

Abstract

This Community Service aims to provide motivation to the inmates of the Women's Prison in Kerobokan, Bali. PKM with the theme "Turning Stigma into Opportunity" strengthens the motivation of inmates to rise with more confidence in facing life after leaving the prison. This PKM method uses Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR), where the community and academics conduct activities aimed at bringing about change or improvement in conditions, which can begin with strengthening the knowledge and awareness of former inmates to be better prepared to face the stigma that occurs in society. The activity was conducted on February 13, 2025, with the participation of 40 former inmates. The presentation began with games, followed by the delivery of material and a conclusion regarding the stigma that will be faced in society and how to turn it into an opportunity. This activity provides new insights and motivation for participants to rise and rebuild their lives after leaving the correctional facility.

Abstract

The determination of interest rates by Bank Indonesia plays an important role in supporting national economic stability and growth. Although previous studies have highlighted the relationship between interest rates and economic growth and market performance, studies on macroeconomic determinants of interest rate determination are still limited. This study aims to analyze the effect of inflation and exchange rates on Bank Indonesia's interest rates in the period 2004 to 2023, covering both crisis and non-crisis periods. The method used is a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis, as well as classical assumption tests to ensure the validity of the model. The results of the study show that inflation has a positive and significant effect on interest rates, while the exchange rate does not show a significant effect. This finding indicates that inflation is the main factor that Bank Indonesia considers in determining interest rate policy. The policy implications of this study emphasize the importance of controlling inflation in order to maintain the effectiveness of monetary policy and long-term economic stability.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the SEHATI (Free and Fast Halal Certification for Micro and Small Businesses) service innovation in improving the efficiency of the halal certification process in Indonesia. The main issue raised is the low efficiency of time, cost, and access to halal certification services, especially for Micro and Small Businesses (UMK). By using a mixed method approach and convergent parallel design, quantitative data was collected through a survey of 71 UMK actors, while qualitative data was obtained through interviews with BPJPH, LPH, and PPH assistants. The results of the analysis showed that time efficiency, cost efficiency, process accessibility, and flexibility do not have a significant effect on service satisfaction. At the same time, qualitative findings reveal various obstacles such as limited digital literacy, hidden costs, and inefficiencies in the field verification process. Although SEHATI has brought about change through digitalization and self-declaration, its implementation has not been fully effective. SEHATI is a strategic innovation with the potential to improve the efficiency of halal certification, yet its implementation still requires improvements in the aspects of assistance, system simplicity, and digital infrastructure so that its benefits are felt evenly and sustainably by MSME actors.

Abstract

The rapid development of the smart city concept encourages the need for energy management that is more efficient, sustainable and adaptive to the needs of modern urban communities. In this context, renewable energy is the main solution to reduce dependence on fossil energy sources that are limited and pollute the environment. This research aims to optimize the utilization of renewable energy in smart cities by integrating Big Data technology and Decision Support Systems (DSS). The approach used in this research is a case study and system modeling method, which involves collecting energy data from various sources such as IoT sensors, weather stations, and energy distribution systems in real-time. The data is then analyzed using Big Data Analytics techniques to identify energy consumption patterns, potential renewable energy production, and peak load predictions. Furthermore, a decision support system was designed to assist policy makers and city managers in determining optimal energy distribution and usage strategies based on the available data and simulations. The results show that the integration of Big Data and DSS is able to increase the efficiency of renewable energy utilization up to 25% compared to conventional systems. In addition, the system is also able to dynamically respond to changing conditions and provide more accurate and adaptive decision recommendations. These findings indicate that the synergy between data technology and decision support systems plays a strategic role in creating sustainable and environmentally sound smart cities.

Abstract

Work-life balance and workload management have emerged as critical factors influencing employee productivity in the modern logistics industry. This study examined the effects of work-life balance and workload on employee productivity at JNE Express Company's Gedebage branch in Bandung, Indonesia. A quantitative approach utilizing path analysis was employed with 175 employees selected through proportionate random sampling from a population of 310 workers. Data collection employed validated questionnaires measuring work-life balance dimensions including work interference with personal life, personal life interference with work, personal life enhancement of work, and work enhancement of personal life. Workload was assessed through job conditions, working time utilization, and target achievement dimensions. Employee productivity was evaluated across five dimensions: resource utilization efficiency, work quality, planning and management effectiveness, innovation and development, and work-life balance maintenance. Path analysis revealed that work-life balance demonstrated a significant positive effect on employee productivity (β = 0.466, p 0.001) with a total influence of 35.52%. Workload similarly showed significant positive effects on productivity (β = 0.456, p 0.001) contributing 34.6% to overall productivity variance. The combined model explained 70.1% of productivity variance (R² = 0.701), indicating strong predictive validity. These findings suggest that effective work-life balance policies and optimal workload distribution represent strategic human resource management interventions for enhancing organizational performance in logistics operations. The research contributes empirical evidence supporting the positive relationship between work-life balance, workload management, and productivity outcomes in Indonesian logistics contexts.
