STAIN MANDAILING NATAL PUBLIC COMMUNICATION IN THE APPLICATION OF FACE-TO-FACE LEARNING DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC Farid, Ahmad Salman

The application of face-to-face learning during the Covid-19 pandemic needs to be conveyed appropriately to the public so that it requires public communication. The applicable face-to-face meeting policy needs to be reviewed so that there are no errors in the delivery of messages and feedback received by STAIN Mandailing Natal. This study aims to find out how the public communication of STAIN Mandailing Natal in the application of face-to-face learning during the Covid-19 pandemic with a qualitative descriptive method. The description of the research results shows that the public communication conducted by STAIN Mandailing Natal from the aspect of openness, the challenge is that it is difficult to convince students to maintain health protocols. STAIN Mandailing Natal has used Facebook, Whatsapp and the website as an option to communicate with students. The stakeholders collaborate in communication with various parties including the head of the study program, coordination across student associations of the study program and is carried out directly.

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bentuk-bentuk kreatifitas guru, proses kreasi guru dan respon siswa terhadap kereativitas guru dalam pengembangan media pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yaitu jenis penelitian yang menghasilkan penemuan-penemuan yang tidak dapat dicapai (diperoleh) dengan menggunakan prosedur-prosedur statistik atau cara-cara lain dari kualifikasi (pengukuran). Sumber data primer penelitian ini adalah kepala Madrasah, wakil kepala Madrasah dan Guru Pendidikan Agama Islam. Adapun sumber data skundernya adalah Guru MGMP PAI, Pengawas dan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan temuan khusus bahwa: (1) bentuk Kreativitas Guru dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran PAI yaitu mengelola media pembelajaran melalui perencanaan media pembelajaran dalam bidang Studi Akidah Akhlak dalam materi adab takziah memakai media pembelajran poster karena guru lebih mudah menjelaskan materi pembelajaran dan materi dapat tersampaikan kepada siswa. (2) Proses Kreasi Guru dalam pengembangan media pembelajaran guru pendidikan agama islam, guru menganalisis kebutuhan dan krakteristik siswa sesuai dengan media yang dipakai, merumuskan tujuan, merumuskan butir-butir materi, mengembangkan alat ukur dan menulis naskah media. (3) Respon siswa terhadap kreativitas guru dalam media pembelajaran sangat baik dan positif karena dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran yang berpariasi dan memakai media teknologi membuat siswa lebih mudah memahami materi pelajran yang disampaikan oleh guru dan bisa menciptakan suasana belajar yang kondusif dan menyenangakan, menghilangkan rasa jenuh atau bosan selama proses pembelajaran.

Pendidikan Tinggi sebagaimana menjadi salah satu layanan pendidikan, merupakan subjek pelayanan publik yang sangat penting dalam rangka mewujudkan cita-cita mencerdaskan anak bangsa. Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara dan Universitas Negeri Padang mulai memberlakukan kebijakan Uang Kuliah Tunggal (UKT). Bagaimana Penanganan UKT Mahasiswa di Perguruan Tinggi? Apa hambatan mahasiswa dalam pembayaran UKT bermasalah bagi mahasiswa yang tidak mampu di Perguruan Tinggi? dan Bagaimana upaya Perguruan Tinggi terhadap pembayaran UKT bagi mahasiswa yang Tidak Mampu di Perguruan Tinggi? Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil yang ditemukan peneliti adalah penentuan UKT dilakukan melalui penilaian tentang keadaan keluarga, pendidikan orangtua/wali, pekerjaan orangtua/wali, pendapatan orangtua/wali dan aset orangtua. Dalam meringankan biaya UKT, UIN Sumatera Utara maupun UNP memberikan beasiswa KIP dan Beasiswa Prestasi. UIN Sumatera Utara lebih cenderung menggunakan layanan zakat melalui Unit Pengumpul Zakat, sementara UNP memberlakukan potongan 50% bagi mahasiswa tingkat akhir.

This study examines mass media communication activities carried out by the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) of Sunggal District in Deli Serdang Regency in promoting marriage services to the surrounding Muslim community. The implementation of KUA's duties in providing the best service to Muslim audiences should be supported by mass media instruments that explain the processes, procedures, and administrative matters that are the success of marriage in Islam. Adopting descriptive qualitative methods in this study look at the current situation and condition of marriage services at KUA Sunggal so that natural objects can provide a detailed description of the application of mass media communication in it. The data were then obtained by observation, in-depth interviews with informants from the Head of KUA and extension workers as well as official documentation on all matters relating to the object of research. The results of this study found that the role of mass media communication was still weak so efforts were needed and real actions in revitalizing, upgrading, and adjusting to publicity to the public in the era of technological progress 5.0 in the KUA work area, Sunggal District.

The development of information technology and the internet has significantly transformed the landscape of media and journalism. Traditional journalism, which relied on print and electronic broadcasting, has evolved into digital journalism supported by online platforms. This change has had a profound impact on the professionalism and credibility of journalists. This research aims to analyze the paradigm shift from traditional journalism to digital journalism and explore its impact on journalistic professionalism and credibility. The methods used in this study are literature review and comparative analysis. In the literature review, we examine the relevant literature on the paradigm shift in journalism and its impact on journalistic professionalism and credibility. Comparative analysis is carried out by comparing the characteristics of traditional journalism and digital journalism and analyzing the changes that have occurred. The results of the study indicate that the paradigm shift from traditional journalism to digital journalism has changed the role of journalists in gathering, editing and delivering news. Digital journalism provides greater freedom and flexibility for journalists in creating content, but it also brings new challenges related to the validity and credibility of information. Journalists today are faced with demands to adapt to new technologies, master algorithms, and build a strong online presence. The results of the study indicate that the paradigm shift from traditional journalism to digital journalism has changed the role of journalists in gathering, editing and delivering news. Digital journalism provides greater freedom and flexibility for journalists in creating content, but it also brings new challenges related to the validity and credibility of information. This activity aims to enhance community participation in religious activities in the village of Pardomuan, Mandailing Natal Regency, through the implementation of the Service Learning method. Pardomuan Village was chosen as the location due to its perceived potential for the development of religious activities, yet the level of community participation needs improvement. The Service Learning method was selected as the primary approach in this community service because it can integrate learning and service to the community, providing dual benefits. The community service team, comprising students, lecturers, and Islamic religious instructors, collaborated with the residents of Pardomuan Village to design and execute various religious activities. The initial steps involved mapping the community's needs through surveys and group discussions. Subsequently, the team designed religious programs involving various segments of the population, including children, teenagers, adults, and the elderly. These activities encompassed religious lectures, religious skill training, and socio-religious activities to enhance a sense of community. The outcomes of this community service are evident in the increased community participation in religious activities, improved understanding of religious matters, and the formation of a solidarity network among the residents of Pardomuan Village. Thus, it is expected that the Service Learning method can serve as an effective model in addressing the challenges of community participation in religious activities, particularly in a rural context.

This study examines the adoption of cloud technologies by producers in the broadcasting industry, with a focus on how these innovations are transforming content production. As the industry increasingly shifts towards cloud-based solutions, understanding the experiences of industry professionals becomes crucial, especially regarding the benefits and challenges they face. A qualitative research approach was employed, utilizing in-depth interviews with broadcasting producers who have substantial experience with cloud technologies in content production. The analysis revealed that cloud technologies significantly enhance the flexibility and scalability of production processes, enabling dynamic resource management. Producers reported notable cost savings due to optimized resource allocation and reduced infrastructure expenses. The study also highlighted enhanced collaboration, with cloud platforms facilitating real-time remote production and fostering creative synergy among dispersed teams. However, concerns over security, intellectual property protection, and regulatory compliance were pervasive, underscoring the need for robust security measures. Additionally, the transition to cloud-based workflows requires a shift in skillsets and operational strategies among producers. While cloud adoption is driving significant transformation in the broadcasting industry, the management of associated risks is critical for sustaining these advancements. The ongoing evolution of cloud technologies promises continued innovation in content production, with far-reaching implications for the future of broadcasting.

This activity was carried out in response to the challenge of low literacy rates among orphaned and school drop-out children in the village of Ampung Julu, Batang Natal District, Mandailing Natal Regency. The evaluation results indicate a significant improvement in the reading, writing, and arithmetic skills of children, confirming that educational games can be an effective method in shaping academic skills. The program also instilled high intrinsic motivation among the children, perceiving learning as an enjoyable experience. In addition to the positive impact on academic aspects, educational games also foster social and emotional skills in children, creating a crucial foundation for holistic personal development. The success of the program relies not only on the contributions of the students but also actively involves the participation of the local community, including parents and village authorities. This close collaboration creates sustainable support and enhances the positive impact of the program. These outcomes not only bring about changes in the education of children but also alter the community's perception of the significance of education as a tool for creating positive changes in their lives. The success of the "Learn Through Play" program serves as inspiration for the development of similar initiatives in various regions facing similar educational challenges. This contribution adds value to the conceptualization and planning of innovative education ideas and models that can be adopted on a broader scale. Thus, this community engagement does not only create tangible changes at the local level but also provides a valuable contribution to the thinking and planning of innovative education at a broader level.

This study aims to analyze the comparative agenda setting between print media and radio in Mandailing Natal Regency, with a case study focusing on two main local media outlets, namely Malintang Pos and Radio StartFM. Agenda setting is a crucial process in the field of journalism as it influences the public's attention to specific issues. The research adopts a qualitative approach, employing content analysis to identify differences and similarities in how news is handled by the two media platforms. The findings of the study reveal that print media, such as Malintang Pos, tend to provide more in-depth and sharp coverage of local issues. Conversely, Radio StartFM tends to deliver concise and oral news, prioritizing speed in disseminating information to its listeners. The process of agenda setting in both media is influenced by factors such as political interests, economic pressures, and editorial preferences, which impact the selection of news topics. Furthermore, the variation in the medium of news delivery also influences the format and writing style of the news presented. Despite these differences, both print media and radio play significant roles in shaping public opinion and societal perception regarding local issues. This research contributes conceptually to understanding the roles of print media and radio in providing information to the public. The implications of these findings are expected to provide valuable insights for journalism practitioners, academics, and readers, encouraging critical analysis of news presented by both media outlets. Moreover, this study can serve as a basis for further research in the context of media agenda setting in other regions.

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 6 Kabupaten Langkat melalui pelatihan editing video pembelajaran berbasis enam langkah. Metode pengabdian menggunakan pendekatan Service Learning, yang melibatkan kolaborasi aktif antara kepala madrasah dan guru. Pelatihan dilaksanakan secara partisipatif dan interaktif melibatkan guru dalam proses pembelajaran. Pelatihan difokuskan pada enam langkah dasar editing video, mulai dari pengenalan perangkat lunak hingga penyebaran materi secara efektif. Guru-guru diberikan peluang untuk merancang dan menghasilkan video pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kurikulum dan kebutuhan siswa. Selama proses ini, penulis berperan sebagai fasilitator, memberikan panduan praktis dan bimbingan teknis kepada guru. Hasil dari pengabdian ini mencakup peningkatan keterampilan guru dalam menggunakan teknologi editing video untuk menciptakan materi pembelajaran yang menarik dan relevan. Dampak positif juga terlihat dalam peningkatan keterlibatan siswa dan peningkatan pemahaman konsep-konsep pembelajaran. Penerapan Service Learning bukan hanya memberikan manfaat kepada guru, tetapi juga membangun kolaborasi berkelanjutan antara orangtua siswa dan para guru. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk terus memperkuat kualitas pembelajaran di tingkat dasar, sekaligus mendorong pemanfaatan teknologi dalam proses pendidikan.
