Abstract

The views of constitutional experts in modern government,  there are three very important elements of the principles of government power in a country,  namely the principles of the rights of citizens and the principle of the relationship between citizens and government,  as well as the principles of governmental power (the principles According To the Government). This is described in the constitution to whom powers of state organizer submitted,  whether the power will be given to the one hand/ institution or given to several State institutions who run these power. The principles of the rights of citizens (The Principles According to The Rights of The governed),  in principle rights owned of citizen an integral part to be valued/ respected by a ruler. Then the principles of the relationship between citizens and government (The Principles According to the Relations Between The Government and The Governed),  In these principle should be known of each rights and obligations between the citizens and government. Besides,  the Constitution understood as a term to describe the overall system of Government of a country,  as well as a collection of rules that establish and regulate or define Government in the country concerned. Thus encountered a two-dimensional understanding given as follows: first,  the Constitution is the overall picture of the system of Government in a country (The Whole System of Government A Country) that the Constitution describes whether the form of State and system of Government in use. Second,  the Constitution is a set of rules that establish and govern a country’s Government (The Collection Of Rules Which Regulate or Establish and Govern The Government) it means in this second dimension,  the Constitution is a set of rules about how the implementation of the overall system of Government of a country and a set of rules as the basis for the Division of power between the institutions of the State,  the both dimension is a unity in the sense of the constitution or basic laws.Keyword: The Indonesian government system constitution is identical

Abstract

The purpose of present study is to critically assess the reading comprehension textbooks which have been prescribed for use at the English Education Department of Public Islamic Higher Education in West Sumatera. The writer used a criteria taken from Cunningswoth’ s (1995) and Miekley’s (2005). These include (1) Aims and Approaches; (2) Design and Organization; (3) Content; (4) Skills; (5) Vocabulary and Grammar; (6) Exercises and Activities; (7) Methodology; (8) Attractiveness of the Text and Physical Make-Up; (9) Teacher’s Manual; and (10) Practical Consideration. To interpret the checklist, the four rating scale was used, namely excellent, good, fair, and poor. The research showed that every textbook has strong and weak points. The result of this analysis could be used as the basis to gain more effective reading textbooks for the lecturer of reading comprehension.

Abstract

This article discusses my experience in shaping EFL learners’ project on textbook design in teaching English for Specific Purposes (ESP) subject. This task was challenging since the learners’ project designing textbook was in the sixth semester students. This article first explores the concept of ESP, principles in developing materials and classroom project. Then, it goes to focus on the pedagogical procedure for designing ESP textbook. This procedure includes (1) prior to designing a textbook; (2) designing a draft of the textbook; (3) finalization of designing textbook; and (4) demonstrating peer teaching on one of the units of the textbook.  Finally, it elaborates students’ responses to these practices. The findings show that classroom project can enhance learners’ to good cooperation, improve learners’ knowledge and creativity, and promote learners individual and social values to improve their harmony in life. For future researchers, it is suggested exploring the effect of classroom project on students’ achievement, and to examine the correlation between classroom project on ESP subject and learners’ social values.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the form 1). Principal management planning in the youth program, 2). Implementation of principal management in the youth program, 3). Supervision of the principal's management in implementing the Ketaruna program at SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Rumbai. The research method used in this research is qualitative research with the type of case study. Collecting data using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. To ensure the validity of the data used triangulation technique. The results of this study indicate that 1). Planning in the form of participatory-based cadet policy programs and supporting infrastructure is outlined in the school's vision and mission by involving all school residents and other stakeholders. 2). Its implementation is in the form of integrated non-academic activities in learning in order to develop the talents, interests and abilities of students through extracurricular activities for the physical development of cadets. 3). Supervision of the youth program which is supervised by the principal and supervisor and assisted by the person in charge of the field (pokja) and the deputy principal. The conclusion of this study shows that the Ketaruna based school program begins with participatory planning, systematic implementation, and evaluative supervision.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students’ views on the use of WhatsApp in English Teaching Department classes during the covid-19 pandemic. The impact of the Coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic is now beginning to spread to the world of education. This condition makes the students and the lecturers used online media or online learning much longer than expected. In the online learning process, WhatsApp is one of the most used applications. This study used qualitative research. The research population was all 270 students of the English Teaching Department of IAIN Batusangkar. The sample involved 168 students by using stratified random sampling technique. Slovin’s formula was used to measure the sample. The research instrument was questionnaires. It was designed in the type of closed-ended and open-ended forms. The questionnaire consisted of 21 statements. Then, to analyze the data from a closed-ended questionnaire, the researchers used Guttman Scale. Meanwhile, to analyze the open-ended questionnaire, the researchers classified students’ responses and then described the results. The finding of the study indicated that students’ views on the use of WhatsApp (WA) in English Teaching Department classes during the covid-19 pandemic mostly positive (73.2%) and the negative responses only (26.8%). Furthermore, students’ views on the use of WA includes WA as media in doing online learning process; WA as an educational media; WA as an evaluation and assessment benchmarks; WA as an application of sharing information; WA as the application to do group discussion; and WA as media to increase literation and to share learning materials. This research implies that WA could be used to do the online learning process because it empirically helps the students to get enthusiastically involved in learning activities.

Abstract

Literacy-based independent learning planning is important to be applied in the science learning process. The principal as the manager of SMP Negeri 12 Sijunjung was very enthusiastic in welcoming the concept of independent learning. Teachers and observers of education at SMP Negeri 12 Sijunjung hope that the concept of independent learning that will be applied by the school will bring positive changes to the development of the quality of education at that school because this will help provide students with the skills needed in the 21st century. The results showed that, planning in the literacy-based independent learning program in science learning at SMP Negeri 12 Sijunjung was  conducted by  holding deliberations with various related elements. Planning lessons was carried out in the classroom,  and outside, planning in learning was cnducted  by carrying out a literacy movement that has 2 goals, namely general goals and specific goals. Planning constraints in the literacy-based independent learning program in science learning at SMP Negeri 12 Sijunjung consists of 3 obstacles, namely: 1). Lack of human resources who can understand literacy programs properly and correctly;  2) time for literacy activities at school;  and 3) the school library is only limited to the school library, and the library collection only provides school books, very few other additional books.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Nonelastic airway resistance is resistance to airflow or frictional resistance to airflow in the airways in asthmatic patients. Nonelastic airway resistance can be measured with a spirometer or a mini peak flow meter (PFM). One way to seek normal lung function, maintain it, and prevent airway obstruction is by performing SEFT. This research is to identify respondents' characteristics and differences in the decrease in nonelastic airway resistance as a result of measuring the average percentage of APE before and after SEFT. A study quasi-experiment with an approach design randomized one group pretest-posttest. Sampling was done by simple random sampling based on inclusion criteria. The analyzing data using the Wilcoxon alternative test with 0.05. The number of samples are 100 respondents with a random sampling technique. There are six respondents whose APE Percentage value after SEFT is smaller than APE Percentage Before SEFT, as many as 93 respondents whose APE Percentage value After SEFT is greater than the APE Percentage value Before SEFT, and one respondent whose value is the same before and after SEFT. The  SEFT can reduce nonelastic airway resistance. This research recommends  SEFT can become the wrong intervention in COPD patient care. Keywords: SEFT , Resistance Channel Breath Nonelastic, Asthma              ABSTRAK             Resistensi saluran nafas  nonelastik adalah resistensi terhadap aliran udara atau tahanan gesekan terhadap aliran  udara dalam saluran nafas pada pasien asma, adanya resistensi saluran nafas nonelastik ini menyebabkan pasien asma harus berusaha sekuat tenaga supaya dapat bernafas. Resistensi saluran nafas nonelastik dapat diukur dengan spirometer atau alat mini peak flow meter (PFM). Salah satu cara mengupayakan fungsi paru senormal mungkin serta mempertahankannya dan mencegah obstruksi jalan napas yaitu dengan cara melakukan SEFT. SEFT merupakan teknik terapi yang menggabungkan sistem energi tubuh dan terapi spiritualitas dengan metode tapping pada 18 titik kunci di sepanjang 12 jalur energi tubuh. Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi gambaran karakteristik responden dan perbedaan penurunan resistensi saluran nafas nonelastik hasil pengukuran rata-rata persentase APE sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan SEFT. Quasi eksperimen dengan pendekatan desain randomized one group pretest-posttest. Sampling dilakukan dengan cara simple random sampling berdasarkan kriteria inklusi. Instrumen menggunakan terapi metode SEFT dan alat mini PFM, kemudian dilakukan pengumpulan dan pengolahan data (editing, coding, scoring, tabulating) lalu dilakukan analisa data  menggunakan uji alternative Wilcoxon dengan α 0,05. Jumlah sampel penelitian sebanyak 100 responden dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling. Sebanyak 6 responden yang nilai Persentase APE Sesudah SEFT lebih kecil daripada Persentase APE Sebelum SEFT, sebanyak 93 responden nilai Persentase APE Sesudah SEFT lebih besar daripada nilai Persentase APE Sebelum SEFT dan 1 responden yang nilainya sama sebelum dan sesudah SEFT. Hasil uji statistik didapatkan p <  (0,05) berarti ada perbedaan yang signifikan resistensi saluran nafas nonelastik sebelum dan sesudah di lakukan SEFT.SEFT dapat menurunkan resistensi saluran nafas nonelastik. Abstract

Based on the characteristics of elementary school students who are in line with Pieget's theory of development, children aged 7-11 years are in the concrete operational phase. Grade II students at SDN 04 Balimbing have visual and kinesthetic learning styles. So it requires learning media that is concrete and aligned with the characteristics of students, especially in PAI subjects and Taharah material. The aims of this study were (1) to develop autoplay-based interactive learning media for PAI subjects and Class II SD Taharah subject matter and (2) to determine the validity of autoplay-based interactive learning media. The research method used is research and development using the ADDIE development model. Stages of research using the ADDIE model. The results showed that autoplay-based interactive learning media for PAI subjects and morals in thaharah material were stated to be very valid with an average of 0.847. Validation was carried out by expert lecturers and Islamic education and ethics subject teachers. Based on these results, interactive learning media based on autoplay can be used in learning.
