Abstract

This study aims to explore and analyze the Arabic sounds established by Al-Khalil in his Al-Ain dictionary in the light of modern phonology. This study used the descriptive analytical method through a desk study to reach the research results. This study concluded that Al-Khalil set the limits of phonetic study through his book Al-Ain, in which he specified the exits of sounds and some of their characteristics to distinguish between sounds that are united in output and similar in many characteristics. He also applied a scientific approach in his audio studies that was similar in many aspects to the approach followed by the hadith scholars, according to simple capabilities made available to him by the time period in which he lived.

Abstract

This research examines the effectiveness of academic writing mentoring for Arabic Language Education students at Zainul Hasan Islamic University (UNZAH) Genggong Probolinggo, with a focus on improving the quality and creativity of academic work. A qualitative method with a descriptive approach was used to collect data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that structured and continuous mentoring has a significant positive impact on the quality and creativity of students' academic work. Students feel an improvement in their ability to formulate problems, gather data, analyze, and construct strong arguments. However, there are still challenges such as time and resource constraints, lack of motivation, and students' readiness in academic writing. This research recommends strategies to address these challenges, including the development of a more comprehensive mentoring program, structured writing training, and increased collaboration between faculty and students.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the Muhawarah textbook in enhancing Arabic speaking skills among students at MTs Riyadlus Sholihin. The research adopted a classroom action research design using a cyclical model comprising planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages, carried out over two cycles. In Cycle 1, students engaged in introductory speaking activities using the textbook, with data gathered through observations, speaking assessments, and questionnaires. In Cycle 2, the program expanded to include varied exercises and group discussions to further develop speaking abilities. The results showed notable improvement in students’ Arabic speaking skills, particularly in fluency, pronunciation, and grammatical accuracy. Student motivation and confidence in speaking also increased, as evidenced by more active participation during class discussions and speaking tasks. Quantitatively, student understanding improved from 60% in the pre-cycle to 70% in Cycle 1, and further to 90% in Cycle 2. By the end of Cycle 2, 30 students demonstrated excellent mastery of Arabic speaking, following Nahwu and Sorrof rules accurately. The study concludes that the Muhawarah textbook is highly effective in improving students’ speaking skills and recommends its integration into the Arabic curriculum. Additionally, it emphasizes the need for continuous teacher training to optimize textbook use in enhancing learning outcomes. Keywords: Effectiveness, Muhawarah Textbook Learning, Arabic Languageمستخلص البحثهدف هذا البحث إلى تقييم فاعلية كتاب المحاورة في تنمية مهارات التحدث باللغة العربية لدى طلاب مدرسة متوسطة رياض الصالحين الإسلامية. وقد اعتمد البحث على منهج البحث الإجرائي الصفي باستخدام نموذج دائري يتألف من أربع مراحل: التخطيط، والتنفيذ، والملاحظة، والتقويم، وذلك عبر دورتين متتاليتين. في الدورة الأولى، شارك الطلاب في أنشطة تمهيدية للتحدث باستخدام الكتاب، وتم جمع البيانات من خلال الملاحظات، وتقييمات التحدث الفردية، والاستبيانات. وفي الدورة الثانية، تم توسيع البرنامج ليشمل تدريبات متنوعة ومناقشات جماعية لتعزيز مهارات التحدث بشكل أعمق. أظهرت نتائج الدراسة تحسناً ملحوظاً في مهارات التحدث لدى الطلاب، ولا سيما في الطلاقة والنطق والدقة النحوية. كما ارتفعت دافعية الطلاب وثقتهم في التحدث، وهو ما انعكس في مشاركتهم النشطة في المناقشات الصفية والأنشطة الشفوية. من الناحية الكمية، تحسّن مستوى فهم الطلاب من 60٪ في المرحلة التمهيدية إلى 70٪ في الدورة الأولى، ثم إلى 90٪ في الدورة الثانية. وبنهاية الدورة الثانية، أظهر ثلاثون طالباً إتقاناً ممتازاً لمهارة التحدث باللغة العربية، وفقاً لقواعد النحو والصرف. وتخلص الدراسة إلى أن كتاب المحاورة فعّال بدرجة عالية في تحسين مهارات التحدث لدى الطلاب، وتوصي بإدماجه ضمن المنهج الدراسي لمادة اللغة العربية. كما تؤكد على ضرورة توفير تدريب مستمر للمعلمين لتعظيم الاستفادة من هذا الكتاب في تحسين مخرجات التعلم. الكلمات المفتاحية:  فعالية، كتاب المحاورة ، تعليم اللغة العربية.

Abstract

Using podcasts to teach speaking skills can significantly enhance students' critical and creative thinking abilities. Podcasts also promote greater linguistic interaction, which helps students improve their pronunciation and understanding of Arabic kalam. However, teachers often face challenges, such as limited training or lack of experience using this method. This qualitative research explores how podcast integration contributes to developing speaking skills and thinking abilities among Zainul Hasan Genggong Model High School students. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Semi-structured interviews with teachers and students revealed their experiences, opinions, and challenges in using podcasts as a learning tool. Observations were conducted during lessons involving podcasts, focusing on student engagement, participation, and speaking improvement. Supporting documentation included lesson plans, activity notes, podcast recordings, and speech assessments. Data were analyzed thematically, involving coding and identifying recurring themes. Triangulation of sources and methods was used to ensure credibility. The podcast implementation process involved planning, execution, and evaluation. Teachers also received phased training—starting with basic tools, followed by hands-on practice, and ongoing support. With their interactive, creative, and collaborative nature, podcasts offer valuable opportunities to foster students' speaking proficiency and stimulate their critical and innovative thinking.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools as one of the educational institutions, are recognized to have a significant role in raising and developing the world of education. Islamic boarding schools are also believed to be an alternative for solving various educational problems that occur today. Islamic boarding schools that exist today have generally experienced changes from the impact of modernization. One of the Islamic boarding schools that uses a modern education system is the Islamic Boarding School located in Kalikajar Paiton which implements the Salafiyah and Kholafiyah education systems. Therefore, researchers are interested in examining how the Integrated Education Development Model Between Salafiyah and Kholafiyah. The aim is to find out how the strategy for developing salafiyah and kholafiyah education is at Islamic Boarding School, Kalikajar Paiton. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. And in collecting data, researchers use observation, interview and documentation methods. While for the analysis, researchers use qualitative descriptive analysis techniques, namely in the form of written or oral data from people and observed behavior. The results of the study obtained that the strategy for developing the education system carried out at Islamic Boarding School through formal education programs and religious education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran Word Search berbasis teknologi guna meningkatkan maharah kitabah siswa di Madrasah Diniyah. Menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE, penelitian ini melalui lima tahap: Analisis, Desain, Pengembangan, Implementasi, dan Evaluasi. Validasi oleh ahli menunjukkan media ini sangat layak digunakan dengan rata-rata penilaian 89,23%. Hasil pretest dan posttest menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam hasil belajar, dari 15% pada pretest menjadi 100% pada posttest, serta respon siswa yang sangat baik dengan rata-rata 93%. Dengan demikian, media Word Search terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis bahasa Arab dan dapat menjadi solusi inovatif dalam pembelajaran di lingkungan pendidikan Islam.

Abstract

تعد مهارة الكلام من أهم المهارات التي يجب على الطلبة إتقانها في تعلم اللغة العربية، خاصة في بيئة تعليمية غير ناطقة بالعربية. في ظل التطور التكنولوجي المتسارع، أصبح من الضروري دمج الوسائل الرقمية في عملية التعليم. ومن بين هذه الوسائل، يُعتبر "اليوتيوب" من أهم الأدوات التي يستخدمها الطلبة للحصول على محتوى تعليمي متنوع. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى استكشاف دور "اليوتيوب" كأداة تعليمية لتعزيز مهارة الكلام لدى طلبة المستوى الثاني في قسم تعليم اللغة العربية بالجامعة الإسلامية زين الحسن قنقون في إندونيسيا. اعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، وتم جمع البيانات باستخدام الاستبيانات والمقابلات مع الطلبة. أظهرت النتائج أن الطلبة يفضلون محتوى الفيديو الذي يتضمن دروساً تفاعلية ونماذج ناطقة، ويستخدمون اليوتيوب بشكل فعال لتحسين نطقهم وزيادة طلاقتهم في اللغة العربية. كما تبين أن هناك بعض التحديات المتعلقة بتوافر المحتوى المناسب باللغة العربية وبالتفاعل المباشر مع الفيديوهات. توصي الدراسة بضرورة تطوير استراتيجيات تعليمية تدمج اليوتيوب بشكل أكبر في المناهج الدراسية، مع الاهتمام بتوفير محتوى تعليمي متنوع وشامل لتحسين مهارة الكلام لدى الطلبة.

Abstract

Listening is one of the essential skills in learning the Arabic language, as it contributes to the development of speaking, reading and writing skills. It is defined as the ability to understand the information and intentions of spoken language in different situations. This research aims to clarify the impact of the application of the sequential whispering game in improving the listening skill of the students of Miftah Al-Jana Islamic Middle School in Probolinggo. This game is considered an interactive educational tool that creates a fun atmosphere in the classroom. The research relied on the descriptive qualitative method, through observation, interview, and documentation. The results showed that this method contributes to raising the students’ concentration and increasing their interaction, and a clear improvement in their ability to understand the information heard in Arabic was observed. Accordingly, the chain whisper game can be considered an effective method that helps develop listening skills in a fun and effective way.
