Abstract

This study will analyze the misuse of technology in the telecommunications industry by examining the technology gadgets used by children, where many youngsters are now too lazy to participate in activities, too lazy to learn, and too reliant on cellphones. There are several instances of children abusing digital tools and devices. Yet, how do youngsters in Indonesia actually utilize the internet? This research is conducted in a library, which is a way of conducting research that involves reading books or periodicals and other data sources in a library. Additionally, this study employs case study and descriptive methodologies. The data and discussion indicate that internet abuse by children fosters a closer connection between children and the internet, particularly those under the age of 12, despite the negative consequence of addiction, which results in children interacting less with other family members and peers. As for other reasons, the internet is frequently seen negatively due to its content, which includes pornography, violence, and cyberbullying. On the other hand, the internet is believed to have a beneficial effect because it may be utilized by youngsters as a tool for learning. As a response, parents must supervise their children's use to avoid any negative consequences. Several prior research have demonstrated that young internet users were exposed to the internet at an early age.

Changes in the conception of Indonesian people whose behavior was formed at the beginning of independence, the old order era, the new order and then the reform era need serious attention. The readiness of society and government to face 21st century globalization needs to be studied in depth. History proves that society's unpreparedness to face globalization has ultimately led to the proliferation of corruption, collusion and nepotism in Indonesia. Creating clean, transparent and professional Indonesian people is a must. This effort must be carried out by all components of the Indonesian nation, both state implementers. government officials from the center to the lowest, the community, the intellectuals and professionals in Indonesia. If this effort is not carried out immediately, the effort to form the concept of Indonesian human beings will only be an empty hope like building a house on the wind.

Abstract

Technological advancements are becoming increasingly pervasive in daily life. Children develop at a rapid pace as technology advances, from televisions to computers, smartphones, and digital tablet devices equipped with a variety of applications. Today's children, called by “Generation Alpha," are markedly different from prior generations. They spend the most of their time interacting with digital technologies. Because technology pervades both parents' and children's lives, there is concern over its negative impact on very young children's cognitive, motor, and social development. According to research, parents play the most critical role in establishing a child-friendly atmosphere. The schedule that parents follow with their children is designed to meet the child's physical and psychological needs. Additionally, this pattern can be implemented through socialization of societal norms, allowing youngsters to live in harmony with their environment. As a matter of fact, parents must be capable of educating and guiding children in the ethical and positive use of digital media.
