Abstract

This paper is aimed to examine how the influence of e-commerce use on the income of cayenne pepper farmers, but it is related to the price fluctuation of cayenne pepper. The price fluctuation of raw chilli here acts as an intermediate variable so that this research will be analyzed using Path Analysis. This research uses a quantitative design with a case study research technique. This research was conducted in Ongkoe Village, to be precise in the Machero neighborhood, Belawa District, Wajo Regency, South Sulawesi. The results of path analysis illustrate that indirectly the use of e-commerce through fluctuations in chili prices has a significant effect on increasing farmers' income. Even though it is of small value, it is hoped that farmers can find and take advantage of existing e-commerce in carrying out their daily activities. It is hoped that farmers can find and utilize e-commerce in order to bypass long marketing channels so that consumers do not get higher prices and farmers can sell their crops at a satisfactory price.

Abstract

Premium rice “PB Rahma 35,” which is processed hygienically and in accordance with Islamic business principles, is the flagship product of CV. Rahma 35, a rice milling company located in Sidrap, South Sulawesi. However, the company's dependence on a single supplier, intense competition, and lack of transaction transparency make it difficult to gain the trust of suppliers and customers. This study recommends methods to enhance production, digital marketing, and direct sales while identifying supply chain management issues such as communication with suppliers and product quality perception. Interview results indicate that timely payments and support services like transportation and fertilizer assistance are crucial for building partner trust. These findings assist CV. Rahma 35 in improving its competitiveness and business procedures. The objectives of this community service activity are: to improve communication and transparency between CV. Rahma 35 and its business partners, use guidance and training to strengthen fair and sustainable partnership structures, and establish a feedback system to evaluate and enhance partner trust. Conducted from March to May 2025, the CV. Rahma 35 Management Team actively participated in: Program planning through FGD (Focus Group Discussion) and evaluating the results of the community service program together with the team. Through strategic efforts such as conducting focused group discussions (FGD), strengthening the partnership system, and providing complaint services via WhatsApp, CV Rahma's community service program has successfully increased client trust.

Abstract

Tingkat kepuasan petani terhadap pelaksanaan penyuluhan pertanian bervariasi, karena tidak semua permasalahan petani dapat sepenuhnya teratasi. Kegiatan penyuluhan pertanian memiliki peran penting dalam memenuhi kebutuhan petani terkait praktik pertanian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kepuasan petani padi sawah terhadap kinerja penyuluh pertanian (Studi Kasus di Kelurahan Macorawalie, Kecamatan Panca Rijang, Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang). Penelitian ini dilakukan dari Januari 2024 hingga Maret 2024 dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dan sampel sebanyak 73 petani padi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA). Berdasarkan hasil analisis IPA, terdapat tiga atribut di Kuadran I yang menjadi prioritas utama. Delapan atribut di Kuadran II dinilai memiliki kinerja yang memuaskan dan perlu dipertahankan, sebelas atribut di Kuadran III merupakan prioritas rendah, dan tiga atribut di Kuadran IV dianggap sebagai atribut yang berlebihan dalam prioritas. Oleh karena itu, terdapat tiga atribut prioritas utama di Kuadran I yang perlu ditingkatkan, yaitu: (1) penyuluh pertanian mengundang petani untuk menghadiri pertemuan, (2) kunjungan penyuluh ke kelompok tani, dan (3) penyediaan fasilitas dan sarana yang dibutuhkan oleh petani.

Abstract

As a village development facilitator, P4S Laskar Pelangi plays an active role in advancing and developing agriculture in the region. The demand for melons continues to increase as melons are a popular fruit and often consumed by the community. In addition, the climate and soil conditions suitable for melon growth allow farmers to produce melons of good quality. The success of previous melon farming has also encouraged farmers to continue to develop this business. Melon farming is important because melons have high economic value and stable demand, both in the domestic and international markets. The activity method used in this activity is a case study method with Focus Discussion Group and quantitative analysis in the form of Business Feasibility Analysis. The results of Okasa melon cultivation business use production costs which are the sum of all fixed and variable costs from Okasa melon cultivation, which is Rp. 47,350,683. The income of Okasa melon farmers is Rp 480,000,000/Year. Business income is Rp 432,649,317/Year. The BC ratio value is obtained 9, BEP is 9 which means that by reaching the production amount of 802 units, this agribusiness can return capital and ROI 216.5%. In conclusion, P4S Laskar Pelangi has succeeded in increasing farmer productivity and income through the cultivation of Okasa Japanese melons which are feasible to develop further.

Abstract

The issue of household organic waste and the high cost of fish feed remains a significant challenge in Kulo Village. Limited community knowledge and skills in managing organic waste with economic value exacerbate this situation. A training program on Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae cultivation using household organic waste was implemented as a solution to both the waste problem and the rising cost of fish feed in Kulo Village, Sidenreng Rappang Regency. This initiative targeted the Anugrah Fishery Group (Pokdakan), which lacks expertise in organic waste management through BSF maggot bioconversion. This community empowerment program aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of Pokdakan Anugrah in cultivating BSF maggots by utilizing household organic waste as a waste management solution and an alternative fish feed source. The methodology consisted of three phases: (1) outreach and introductory instruction on waste management and maggot cultivation, (2) hands-on practice in constructing BSF egg-laying cages and media, and (3) evaluation through pre-test and post-test assessments. The evaluation results indicated a substantial improvement in participants’ understanding, increasing from an initial 35.92% to 93.30% across various aspects, including the role of maggots as decomposers, the use of “kasgot” as fertilizer, maggots as alternative fish feed, the BSF life cycle, and cultivation techniques. The program demonstrated the potential to reduce household organic waste volume, lower fish farming production costs, and create new economic opportunities through the sale of maggots and organic fertilizer. The training activities significantly improved participant comprehension. Post-test scores increased to 90.62%–95.25% compared to the pre-test scores of 33.50%–38.50%. Participants directly practiced the fermentation of BSF maggot substrate using 10–15 kg of organic waste, constructed multi-level bioponds, BSF fly cages, and egg-laying media. This program not only has the potential to reduce household organic waste but also enables the production of highly nutritious alternative fish feed, thus reducing aquaculture production costs by 60–70% compared to conventional feed. Additionally, new economic opportunities may emerge through the sale of fresh/dried maggots and kasgot organic fertilizer. Overall, this training successfully empowered Pokdakan Anugrah in a sustainable manner, supported environmental management efforts, and fostered the development of a waste-based creative economy.

Abstract

Abstrak: Masyarakat Desa Damai memiliki potensi pertanian melimpah, namun pemanfaatannya masih terbatas pada penjualan hasil panen segar dengan nilai ekonomis rendah. Kondisi ini menuntut peningkatan kapasitas petani dalam pengolahan hasil, manajemen pascapanen, dan strategi pemasaran. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan mengembangkan inovasi pengolahan kacang panjang menjadi produk Long Bean Choco sebagai media pembelajaran kewirausahaan. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan pendampingan kepada kelompok tani mitra yang beranggotakan 37 orang di Desa Damai, dengan melibatkan mahasiswa sebagai sarana pembelajaran berbasis praktik. Evaluasi menggunakan instrumen pre-test dan post-test pada aspek pengetahuan, keterampilan, sikap, dan motivasi. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan (43,2%), motivasi (41,8%), pengetahuan (37,3%), dan sikap (33,9%), yang membuktikan efektivitas kegiatan dalam memperkuat pemahaman sekaligus membentuk sikap positif terhadap inovasi dan pemasaran digital. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pendekatan integratif efektif dalam meningkatkan soft skills dan hard skills, sekaligus membuka peluang keberlanjutan melalui penguatan branding, sertifikasi produk, dan literasi digital sebagai strategi pemberdayaan masyarakat dan peningkatan ekonomi lokal.Abstract: The community of Damai Village possesses abundant agricultural potential; however, its utilization remains limited to the sale of fresh produce with low economic value. This condition necessitates enhancing farmers’ capacity in product processing, post-harvest management, and marketing strategies. This community service program aimed to develop innovation by processing long beans into a product called Long Bean Choco, serving as an entrepreneurial learning medium. The implementation methods included socialization, training, and mentoring for a partner farmer group consisting of 37 members in Damai Village, with the involvement of university students as a means of practice-based learning. Evaluation employed pre-test and post-test instruments covering knowledge, skills, attitudes, and motivation. The results indicated improvements in skills (43.2%), motivation (41.8%), knowledge (37.3%), and attitudes (33.9%), demonstrating the program’s effectiveness in strengthening understanding while fostering positive attitudes toward innovation and digital marketing. These findings confirm that an integrative approach is effective in enhancing both soft skills and hard skills, while simultaneously opening opportunities for sustainability through the reinforcement of branding, product certification, and digital literacy as strategies for community empowerment and local economic development.

Abstract

Nur Fried Chicken, Café Bonaparte dan Warung adalah beberapa perusahaan yang memasarkan produk di industri makanan dan minuman dengan menggunakan media promosi sosial seperti Instagram, Facebook dan WhatsApp sebagai kontak. Menggunakan media sosial untuk memasarkan produk atau layanannya, untuk memberikan informasi tertentu kepada konsumen dan untuk mempromosikan produknya. Media sosial digunakan sebagai alat komunikasi pemasaran untuk meningkatkan kesadaran konsumen terhadap produk, meningkatkan citra produk dan meningkatkan penjualan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui promosi apa saja yang dilakukan oleh Nur Fried Chicken, Café Bonaparte dan Warung Kedaita dalam meningkatkan penjualan dan pengaruh promosi melalui media sosial pada Nur Fried Chicken, Café Bonaparte dan Warung Kedaita. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah kualtatif berupa pemaparan penggunaan media sosial oleh Owner Nur Fried Chicken, Café Bonaparte dan Warung Kedaita. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisa deskriptif dengan pengambilan teknik sampel yakni purposive sampling artinya dengan secara sengaja memilih objek penelitian. Media sosial paling aktif yang digunakan untuk memasarkan produknya adalah Instagram karena Instagram memiliki banyak fitur dan banyak digunakan oleh masyarakat.
