Abstract

This study aims to improve the speaking skills of fourth-grade students at SDN 25 Bilah Barat, Labuhanbatu Regency, through the application of the question-and-answer method assisted by picture media in Indonesian language learning. The background of this study is based on the low speaking ability of students, which is indicated by a lack of confidence, fluency, and courage in expressing ideas orally. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kurt Lewin model, which consists of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were 22 fourth-grade students. Data were collected through speaking skill tests, observations, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques by comparing students’ learning outcomes in each cycle. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ speaking skills. In the pre-cycle stage, the percentage of students who achieved mastery learning was 40.91%, which increased to 63.64% in Cycle I and reached 86.36% in Cycle II. The implementation of the question-and-answer method assisted by picture media proved effective in enhancing students’ activeness, confidence, and ability to express ideas orally. Therefore, this method can be considered an effective alternative strategy for improving elementary school students’ speaking skills in Indonesian language learning. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas IV SDN 25 Bilah Barat Kabupaten Labuhanbatu melalui penerapan metode tanya jawab berbantuan media gambar pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya kemampuan berbicara siswa yang ditandai dengan kurangnya keberanian, kelancaran, serta kepercayaan diri dalam mengungkapkan pendapat secara lisan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model Kurt Lewin yang terdiri atas empat tahap, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 22 siswa kelas IV. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi tes keterampilan berbicara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan membandingkan hasil belajar siswa pada setiap siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan berbicara siswa secara signifikan. Pada pra-siklus, persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa sebesar 40,91%, meningkat menjadi 63,64% pada siklus I, dan mencapai 86,36% pada siklus II. Penerapan metode tanya jawab berbantuan media gambar terbukti mampu meningkatkan keaktifan, keberanian, serta kemampuan siswa dalam menyampaikan pendapat secara lisan. Dengan demikian, metode ini efektif digunakan sebagai alternatif pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Reading is a cognitive process that involves understanding, retelling, and interpreting the meaning of written symbols. Beginning reading is the initial stage of learning to read, which can be developed through engaging activities involving letters, syllables, and simple words. This study was conducted to investigate the beginning reading skills of first-grade students at SD Negeri 073 Jambur Padang Matinggi, to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors, and to explore the efforts made to improve students’ reading abilities. This research employed a qualitative descriptive method with 16 students as subjects. Data were collected through observation and interviews with both teachers and students. The results showed that students’ beginning reading skills varied: 6 students were categorized as good, 6 as fair, and 4 as poor. The influencing factors were divided into internal and external aspects. Internal factors included a lack of interest and motivation to read, while external factors involved the school environment, family support, and learning strategies. Efforts to enhance reading skills included daily reading habits and consistent parental guidance. These findings highlight the importance of both internal and external support systems in the development of early reading skills among young learners.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low listening skills of third grade students of SD Negeri 100103 Sitinjak in Indonesian language lessons on fairy tales because students seem bored with the fairy tales told by the teacher so that students do not listen to the stories being told. In addition, the nonconducive classroom atmosphere makes students more interested in joking with their friends, this causes noise so that students have difficulty concentrating on listening. This study aims to determine whether the picture story method can improve students' listening skills in Indonesian language lessons for third grade students of SD Negeri 100103 Sitinjak. The type of research conducted is Classroom Action Research (PTK). Classroom action research is a study that raises actual problems faced by teachers in the field. Classroom action research is a study that raises actual problems faced by teachers in the field. The research population is all thirdgrade students, totaling 23 students. The data collection technique uses observation and tests. This research was carried out in two cycles in the first cycle, the 1st meeting the number of students who completed was 9 students (39.13%) and those who did not complete as many as 14 students (60.86%), while the first cycle of the 2nd meeting the number of students who completed was 14 students (60.86%) and those who did not complete as many as 9 students (39.13%). In the second cycle of the 1st meeting, the number of students who completed was 17 students (73.91%) and those who did not complete as many as 6 students (26.08%) while in the second cycle of the 2nd meeting there were 20 students (86.95%) and those who did not complete as many as 3 students (13.04%). The results of the study showed that there was an improvement in students' listening skills by using the gamar story method in third grade students of SD Negeri 100103 Sitinjak.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low Indonesian language proficiency, particularly in short story writing. This is due to the lack of variety in methods and techniques used by teachers during the learning process, which results in students feeling bored with the techniques used. The problem formulation in this study is whether the application of this freewriting technique can improve the short story writing ability for class V students at SDN 0112 Janjlobi. This study aims to determine whether the application of the freewriting technique will be able to improve the short story writing ability for class V students at SDN 0112 Janjilobi. This research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) with a focus on planning, action, observation, and reflection at SDN 0112 Janjilobi. The subjects were V students at SDN 0112 Janjilobi. The data collection instruments used were tests and observations. The results of this study indicate that the application of the freewriting technique can improve students' short story writing skills. This is evidenced by the increase in the average value and completeness of student learning outcomes, namely in the pre-cycle stage the average was 45 and completeness was 19% (3 out of 16 students). In cycle I meeting I, the average student score was 48 and completeness was 25% (4 out of 16 students). In cycle I meeting II, the average student score was 67 and completeness was 44% (7 out of 16 students). In cycle II, meeting I, the average student score was 69 and the completion rate was 63% (11 out of 16 students). Meanwhile, in cycle II, meeting II, the average student score was 74 and the completion rate was 75% (12 out of 16 students). It can be concluded that the application of the freewriting technique can improve the short story writing skills for class V students at SDN 0112 Janjilobi. For further research, the researcher hopes that the learning process can be further improved so that learning objectives can be achieved.

Abstract

Aspek afektif yaitu berkaitan dengan sikap peserta didik yang berhubungan dengan emosional, sikap, minat, perasaan, tanggung jawab, disiplin, jujur dan menghargai pendapat orang lain. Dengan uraian diatas maka tidak hanya aspek kognitif dan aspek psikomotorik yang menjadi pokok penting dalam pembelajaran, tetapi juga aspek afektif sangat dibutuhkan dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam. Sebagaimana di SMP Negeri 1 Sihapas Barumun dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam lebih mengembangkan aspek afektif dalam bentuk pembiasaan keagamaan. Karena dari pembiasaan tersebut dapat membentuk dan mengembangkan moral, emosional, dan sikap sehingga menjadi suatu kebiasaan positif. Fokus penelitian dalam skripsi ini mengkaji 2 hal yaitu:(1) bagaimana strategi pemebentukan Guru PAI dalam pembelajaran Afektif pada pendidikan Agama Islam di SMP Negeri 1 Kecamatan Sihapas Barumun Kabupaten Padang Lawas? (2) Apa saja faktor yang mempengaruhi pembelajaran Afektif pada pendidikan Agama Islam di SMP Negeri 1 Kecamatan Sihapas Barumun Kabupaten Padang Lawas? Tujuan penelitian dalam skripsi ini adalah:(1) Untuk mengetahui strategi pembentukan Guru PAI dalam pembelajaran Afektif pada pendidikan Agama Islam di SMP Negeri 1 Kecamatan Sihapas Barumun Kabupaten Padang Lawas. (2) Untuk mengetahui apa saja faktor yang mempengaruhi pembelajaran Afektif pada pendidikan Agama Islam di SMP Negeri 1 Kecamatan Sihapas Barumun Kabupaten Padang Lawas. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan jenis penelitian field research. Lokasi penelitian ini di SMP Negeri 1 Kecamatan Sihapas Barumun Kabupaten Padang Lawas. Penentuan subyek penelitian menggunakan purposive sampling, dan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini memperoleh kesimpulan bahwa: 1) penerapan pengembangan aspek afektif dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam melalui 2 jenjang, pertama yaitu Pembiasaan dan Modeling (asimilasi atau mencontoh).

Abstract

Penelitian ini Dilatarbelakangi oleh observasi peneliti bahwa minat membaca siswa kelas III MIN Paringgonan masih bervariasi atau heterogen, di mana sebagian siswa rajin membaca, sementara yang lain kurang rajin, bahkan ada yang masih membaca dengan mengeja. Minat membaca siswa dikatakan meningkat jika mereka secara mandiri mencari buku untuk dibaca tanpa diperintah guru, tampak senang saat disuruh membaca, serta tidak cepat bosan selama proses membaca. Rumusan masalah penelitian mencakup bagaimana strategi yang dilakukan guru dalam meningkatkan minat membaca siswa, bagaimana minat membaca siswa tersebut. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui strategi guru dalam meningkatkan minat membaca siswa serta gambaran minat membaca siswa. Jenis penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data observasi dan wawancara, dengan subjek guru dan siswa kelas III MIN Paringgonan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, strategi pembelajaran yang digunakan guru meliputi strategi kooperatif, berbasis permainan, dan mandiri, yang didefinisikan sebagai metode aktif dalam memilih kegiatan pembelajaran; sedangkan minat membaca siswa tercermin dari kebutuhan terhadap bacaan, tindakan mencari bacaan, rasa senang, ketertarikan, keinginan untuk selalu membaca, serta tindak lanjut dari apa yang dibaca
