Abstract

Since its establishment in 2018, Christian education management has begun to develop continuously in the educational context of Indonesia. However, it still requires studying more. Accordingly, this research aims to investigate how the department of Christian education management may be developed at the Christian higher education. The qualitative research, in particular, a case study was conducted to investigate the topic. Seven participants were involved and a manual book of Christian educational management department was used as the source of data. Based on the result of the study, it was found four themes that need to pay attention seriously in order to develop further the department of Christian educational management in Christian higher education, namely vision, mission, purpose, curriculum, collaboration, and alumnus. On the other side, for improving the knowledge on the management of Christian education organizations, contributions of this study for further research, practitioners and policy-makers are provided

Abstract

Abstrak Pandangan orang Kristen mengenai kemiskinan, terjadi karena disebabkan ketimpangan struktur masyarakat dimana sekelompok kecil masyarakat yang kebetulan kuat dan mapan, secara ekonomis dan politis menindas golongan atau sekelompok besar yang berada dalam kemiskinan. Kelompok besar (yang miskin) tidak diberikan kesempatan sehingga mengakibatkan kekecewaan dan keputusasaan, kegelisahan dan kekuatiran serta keraguan kepercayaan kepada Allah bahkan mempengaruhi dan mengganggu pikiran. Maka untuk menghindari atau mengentaskan kemiskinan, yang kuat membantu yang lemah, yang kaya membantu yang miskin. Dalam Alkitab kemiskinan itu tidak dianggap sebagai kehendak Allah. Justru Allah melawan kemiskinan memberi perhatian yang khusus kepada orang miskin dan lemah dengan kasihNya di mana Yesus disalibkan dan membawa kemenangan bagi manusia. Jadi kemiskinan tidak didatangkan oleh nasib atau kehendak Allah. Tetapi adalah karena perbuatan-perbuatan manusia. Orang Kristen, melihat kemiskinan tersebut dari segi materi dan juga rohani. Kristen mengatakan orang-orang yang miskin secara rohani adalah orang-orang yang miskin dihadapan Allah, orang-orang yang rendah orang yang berduka cita, orang yang lemah-lembut, yang menggantungkan diri kepada Allah bukan kepada manusia. Mereka mengharapkan pertolongan dari Tuhan sehingga boleh mengasihi sesama tidak hidup untuk membalas dendam. Kata kunci. Kemiskinan menurut Kristen

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Pastoral Counseling curriculum based on local wisdom. The respondents in this study were Pastoral Counseling lecturers and experts in Pastoral Counseling. The research instruments used were interviews and closed questionnaires. The research method used in this study is Research and Development (R&D), using the Olive Model with the following steps: Statement of philosophy, Statement of goals, Statement of objectives, Design of plan. After conducting interviews with research respondents, a curriculum development for the Pastoral Counseling Study Program was arranged in the form of a draft Book of the Pastoral Counseling Study Program Curriculum. Then the draft of the Pastoral Counseling Study Program Curriculum Book was validated by three counseling pastoral experts. After the validation instrument is given to the validator, the data is collected and analyzed. Based on the results of the analysis of the assessment data of the three Pastoral Counseling experts, the percentage of eligibility is 92.13%, namely the very feasible category. So based on this, the Pastoral Counseling Study Program Curriculum Book that has been developed is feasible to use.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kurikulum Pastoral Konseling berbasis kearifan lokal.Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah dosen-dosen Pastoral Konseling IAKN Tarutung sebanyak dua orang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah wawancara dan angket tertutup. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D), dengan menggunakan Model Olive dengan langkah-langkah: Statement of philosophy, Statement of goals, Statement of objectives, Design of plan. Setelah dilakukan wawancara dengan responden penelitian, maka disusun pengembangan kurikulum Prodi Pastoral Konseling yaitu berupa draf Buku Kurikulum Prodi Pastoral Konseling. Kemudian draf Buku Kurikulum Prodi Pastoral Konseling tersebut divalidasi oleh tiga orang ahli pastoral konseling. Setelah instrumen validasi diberikan kepada validator, maka data dikumpulkan dan dianalisis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data penilaian ketiga ahli Pastoral Konseling, menunjukkan persentase kelayakan 92,13% yaitu kategori sangat layak. Maka berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka Buku Kurikulum Prodi Pastoral Konseling yang sudah dikembangkan sudah layak untuk dipergunakan.

Abstract

This article aims to offer a constructive idea about developing an attitude that respects differences, both in terms of theological perspectives and traditions, dogmatic views, church denomination membership, and even religion. The strengthening of religious fundamentalism triggers the occurrence of a religious pattern that is too fanatical and considers its views and groups to be the most correct, so they tend to judge differences using the judgment model. The idea offered is to internalize Jesus' teaching not to judge others excessively through the narrative of Matthew 7:1-5. This research is qualitative-descriptive, with a constructive approach related to the theme of “respect” and “non-judgmental” toward others. In conclusion, the church needs to continue to build fellowships or networks between Christians in different denominations, and between religious communities, and to develop a "non-judgmental" attitude. AbstrakArtikel ini bertujuan untuk menawarkan sebuah gagasan konstruktif tentang mengembangkan sikap yang menghargai perbedaan, baik dalam hal perspektif dan tradisi teologi, pandangan dogmatika, keanggotaan denominasi gereja, bahkan hingga agama. Menguatnya fundamentalisme beragama memicu terjadinya pola beragama yang terlalu fanatik, menganggap pandangan dan kelompoknya yang paling benar, sehingga cenderung menilai perbedaan dengan model penghakiman. Gagasan yang ditawarkan adalah menginternlisasi ajaran Yesus untuk tidak menghakimi orang lain secara berlebihan melalui narasi Matius 7:1-5. Penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif-deskriptif, dengan pendekatan konstruktif terkait tema “menghargai” dan “tidak menghakimi” sesama. Simpulannya, gereja perlu terus membangun persekutuan atau jejaring antarumat Kristen dalam perbedaan denominasi, hingga antarumat beragama, dalam rangka mengembangkan sikap yang “tidak menghakimi”.

Abstract

Abstract. This research aimed to prove that leadership in the church plays an important role in creating a healthy and dynamic church life. This research is a field research using a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods. The results showed that there are differences in leadership between the Indonesian Protestant Christian Church (GKPI) and the Indonesian Holy Pentecostal Church (GEPKIN), where the leadership style in GKPI is transformational, while leadership in GEPKIN applies more spiritual leadership/pastoral leadership style. The difference in leadership style shows that the leadership style must be relevant to the characteristics of the church to be able to create a healthy and dynamic church life.Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan bahwa kepemimpinan di gereja memegang peranan penting dalam menciptakan sebuah organisasi untuk mewujudkan kehidupan gereja yang sehat dan dinamis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan dengan menggunakan gabungan antara metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kepemimpinan antara Gereja Kristen Protestan Indonesia (GKPI) dan Gereja Pantekosta Kudus Indonesia (GEPKIN), di mana gaya kepemimpinan di GKPI adalah transformasional, sedangkan kepemimpinan di GEPKIN lebih menerapkan gaya kepemimpinan rohani/kepemimpinan pastoral. Perbedaan gaya kepemimpinan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan harus relavan dengan karakteristik gereja untuk dapat mewujudkan kehidupan gereja yang sehat dan dinamis.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to find out universal values ​​for living in diversity, so that an understanding is found that being different is beautiful. Acts 10 opens a new paradigm of diversity. The Apostle Peter, who strongly adhered to Jewish traditions, was able to change his perspective through dialogue with Cornelius. These two figures worship the same God in their own ways. Peter worshiped God by upholding Jewish traditions, while Cornelis, who was a pagan, worshiped God with the knowledge he knew. Through the Acts of the Apostles, universal things about differences are found, namely 1) Differences in character are beautiful, 2) Social differences, 3) Cultural differences and 4) Ethnic differences. All differences will be beautiful, if each other understands the universal values ​​of differences. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai-nilai universal untuk hidup dalam kemajemukan, sehingga ditemukan suatu paham bahwa berbeda itu indah. Kisah Para Rasul 10 membuka paradigma baru tentang perbedaan. Rasul Petrus yang sangat memegang teguh tradisi Yahudi dapat mengubah cara pandangnya melalui dialog dengan Kornelius. Kedua tokoh ini menyembah Allah yang sama dengan cara masing-masing. Petrus menyembah Allah dengan memegang teguh tradisi Yahudi, sementara Kornelis yang seorang kafir, menyembah Allah dengan pengetahuan yang dia ketahui. Melalui Kisah Para Rasul ini ditemukan hal yang universal tentang perbedaan yaitu 1) Perbedaan karakter itu indah, 2) Perbedaan sosial, 3) Perbedaan Budaya dan 4) Perbedaan Suku. Semua perbedaan itu akan menjadi indah, jika saling memahami nilai-nilai universal dari perbedaan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether or not there is an effect of teacher pedagogical competence on the learning achievement of class XI students at SMK Negeri 1 Siatas Barita. The method used in this research is the quantitative research method with an infeireinsiial statistical approach. The population is the total number of students in class XI of SMK Negeri 1 Siatas Barita which amounts to 426 people and a sample of 65 is determined using random sampling technique. Data were collected with a closed questionnaire of 31 items. From the validity test obtained rxy for variable X questionnaire, namely item number 1 to item number 31, it is known that 29 items are valid because rcount (between 0.323 to 0.624) > rtable = 0.312 and 2 items are invalid because rcount (0.177 to 0.269) < rtable = 0.312 (item numbers 4 and 13). The results of data analysis show that there is a positive and significant influence of teachers' pedagogical competence on the learning achievement of class XI students at SMK Negeri 1 Siatas Barita as evidenced by the following data analysis: 1) Analysis requirements test: a) positive relationship test obtained rxy value = 0.536 > rtable (α=0.05, n=65) = 0.244 thus it is known that there is a positive relationship between variable X and variable Y. b) significant relationship test obtained Thitung value = 5.045 > table (α=0.05, dk=n-2=63) = 2.000 thus there is a significant relationship between variable X and variable Y. 2) Effect test: a) Regression equation test, obtained regression equation Y ̂ = “66.265”+0.184X. b) Regression determination coefficient test (r2) = 28.8%. 3) Hypothesis testing using the F test obtained Fhitung> Ftabel, namely 25.457> 4.00. So it can be concluded that the teacher's pedagogical competence has a positive and significant effect on the learning achievement of class XI students at SMK Negeri 1 Siatas Barita.

Abstract

The experience of losing a parent has an impact on a child's life. When this event occurs, you will experience a feeling of loss which ultimately causes grief. In fact, this event had a physical, emotional and spiritual impact because of the child's grief over the death of his parents. Situations like this ultimately cause trauma to the person, therefore a healing process is needed for people who experience abnormal sadness. The purpose of this article is to describe a trauma-based approach to dealing with abnormal grief in adolescents whose parents have died. This research uses a qualitative literature method with a literature review using a content analysis approach. This study provides insight into the definition of pathological grief and trauma healing. Symptoms of excessive mourning experienced by adolescent children after the death of their parents. And knowledge about how to overcome grief using a trauma healing approach.

Abstract

Forgiveness is a word that is often heard, but is difficult to implement. Giving forgiveness is not based on the size of the mistake committed, but all mistakes must be forgiven. You also need to know that giving forgiveness is not just to forget, but because forgiveness is an obligation for everyone. By giving forgiveness, what happens is peace. Forgiveness is not a verb that must be questioned, but forgiveness requires intention and must be done.This article uses qualitative methods and a literary approach with descriptive analysis of the text of Matthew 18: 21 – 35, in order to explain the research object precisely. Therefore, the aim of the research is to explain the correct understanding of the meaning of Forgiving Without Limits.

Abstract

This writing aims to determine efforts to prevent feelings of loneliness and fear of death in the elderly. Elderly people are more likely than young people to feel lonely and afraid of death. The elderly are closely related to the relationship between parents and their children (family). This relationship begins in the womb, continues with the birth process and takes care of the child.The method used in writing this journal is a qualitative descriptive method with a literature study and literature review approach. The steps taken when writing this topic include researching and reading various references such as books, magazines and online news portals related to this topic. Next, the author will explain and explain comprehensively. Then, the author draws conclusions and explains from the perspective of Christian ethics.The research results show that elderly people have various problems, resulting in different efforts or steps in each aspect of problems in life. Elderly people must try to remain active in their daily activities (for example: worship, social gathering, elderly exercise, hobbies), prepare health costs, arrange visits and recreation schedules with children and grandchildren, and receive support and love from family, neighbors and more relatives. easily prevent feelings of loneliness and fear of death.
