Abstract

Mathematics is often considered a difficult and boring subject, especially among elementary school students. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of puzzle media in improving mathematics learning outcomes and fine motor skills of second-grade students at SD Negeri Kemukten 02. The research employed a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. A total of 22 students were selected purposively as research subjects. Data were collected through mathematics tests and observation sheets for fine motor skills. The results showed a significant increase in students' learning outcomes, with the average pretest score rising from 62.73 to 82.18 after the implementation of puzzle media. The paired sample t-test revealed a significance value of 0.000, indicating a statistically significant difference. In addition, students demonstrated notable improvements in fine motor indicators such as hand-eye coordination, object arrangement, and task persistence. The use of puzzle media created a more active and engaging learning environment, enabling students to understand abstract mathematical concepts in a more concrete and enjoyable way. These findings suggest that puzzle media is an effective alternative to enhance both cognitive and psychomotor aspects in early mathematics education.

Abstract

This type of research uses Qualitative Descriptive research, according to Sugiyono in (2018) qualitative methods are methods that use descriptions with comparisons of observation and interview results. The population used in this study were teachers and students of grade 4 of SDN Pesantunan 05. The sample used was grade 4 students with a total of 4 students with the categories of active students, smart students, naughty students and less active students. The data sources used are primary and secondary sources. The primary source is the results of interviews and observations, while the secondary source is documentation. Data collection using observation and interviews. The analysis technique used uses data reduction. The results of this study are that the ethics of the teaching profession and the moral responsibility of teachers play an important role in creating quality and equitable education. Teachers are not only tasked with conveying knowledge, but also as guides who have great responsibility for the development of student character. However, in carrying out their duties, teachers face various moral challenges that affect the quality of education. This journal reviews the ethics of the teaching profession, the moral responsibility of teachers, and the challenges that teachers must face in carrying out their roles in the world of education.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to identify variations in parental parenting styles and analyzetheir effects on the cognitive development of elementary school children. Theresearch employed observation and interviews with families havingelementary school-aged children as subjects. Data were analyzeddescriptively to examine the relationship between parenting styles andchildren's cognitive abilities in understanding school lessons. The resultsshowed that the authoritative parenting style with active learningaccompaniment positively influenced children's cognitive development, whilepermissive and authoritarian styles had less favorable impacts. This studyemphasizes the crucial role of parents in supporting their children's learningprocess to achieve optimal academic success.Keywords: parenting style, cognitive development, elementary schoolchildren. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi variasi pola asuh orang tuadan menganalisis pengaruhnya terhadap perkembangan kognitif anak usiasekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan adalah observasi dan wawancaraterhadap beberapa keluarga dengan anak sekolah dasar sebagai subjekpenelitian. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif untuk melihat keterkaitan polaasuh dengan kemampuan kognitif anak dalam memahami pelajaran disekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola asuh autoritatif denganpendampingan belajar aktif memberikan pengaruh positif terhadapperkembangan kognitif anak, sedangkan pola asuh permisif dan otoriterberdampak kurang baik. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya peran orangtua dalam mendukung proses belajar anak demi keberhasilan akademikyang optimal.Kata Kunci: pola asuh, perkembangan kognitif, anak sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Reading skills are a fundamental aspect of elementary school education and play an important role in students' literacy development. However, several third-grade students at SD Negeri Klampok 05 still experience delays in reading and have low reading interest. The main factors contributing to this issue are the limited availability of engaging reading materials and the lack of environmental involvement in literacy culture. This study aims to analyze the use of Mini Books in developing students' reading skills. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that Mini Books are effective in enhancing reading skills through strategies such as shared reading, interactive reading, read-aloud techniques, and vocabulary reinforcement. Additionally, the implementation of Mini Books involves preparation, execution, reinforcement, and evaluation. A supportive environment, both at school and at home, plays a crucial role in shaping students' reading habits. In conclusion, Mini Books are an effective learning medium for improving students' reading skills, provided they are supported by a conducive learning environment.

Abstract

This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach aimed at analyzing the influence of the seven habits of great Indonesian children on the character of students in everyday life. In addition to using data collection techniques with triangulation (combination), the analysis is inductive or qualitative. The results obtained from using qualitative research itself emphasize the meaning of generalizations. Based on the research results, conducted through interviews and observations, it was found that the implementation of the Seven Habits of Great Indonesian Children at SD Negeri Kendawa 02 has a significant influence on the formation of student character in everyday life. Habits such as waking up early, maintaining health, being grateful, and being active in the learning process have been successfully internalized in student behavior, which is reflected in the improvement of their responsibility, independence, creativity, and academic and social abilities.
