Abstract

Several important factors are associated with establishing a healthy island including a healthy social life, food security, and nutrition but in-depth information related to these dimensions is limited. The relationship dimensions include addressing poverty, managing natural and social disasters, handling disabilities, food availability, and food security. Therefore, this study aimed to identify the best model for establishing a healthy island in South Sulawesi. The experiment was carried out on five islands located in three municipalities/regencies in South Sulawesi, namely Tanakeke Island in Takalar Regency, Barrang Caddi Island and Lummu-Lumu Island in Makassar Municipality, as well as Saugi Island and Sapuli Island in Pangkep Regency. The sample consisted of 196 households, while data were analyzed using multivariate analysis through structural equation model tests. The results showed that addressing poverty (t value = 13.77; R2 = 0.75), managing natural and social disasters (t value = 12.15; R2 = 0.61), as well as handling disabilities (t value = 12,53; R2 = 0.64) significantly affected healthy social life. Additionally, food availability (t value = 6.25; R2 = 0.66), and security (t value = 2.72; R2 = 0.85) played key roles in the relationship between food security and nutrition affecting a healthy island. The best indicator of a healthy social life variable was addressing poverty (t value = 13.77; R2 = 0.75). Meanwhile, the best indicator of food security and nutrition variables was food availability (t value = 6.25; R2 = 0.66).

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pendahuluan: Status gizi memainkan peran penting dalam perkembangan manusia, terutama bagi mahasiswa untuk perkembangan intelektualnya. Salah satu faktor yang dapat secara tidak langsung memengaruhi status gizi yaitu faktor psikologis dan mekanisme penanganan stres, seperti gangguan mental umum dan perilaku makan emosional. Ketika kondisi-kondisi ini berlangsung dalam jangka panjang, mereka dapat berdampak negatif pada status gizi seseorang. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara common mental disorders dan emotional eating dengan status gizi pada mahasiswa di Asrama Mahasiswa Universitas Hasanuddin. Bahan dan Metode: Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 245 Mahasiswa di Asrama Mahasiswa Universitas Hasanuddin yang dipilih menggunakan metode proportional random sampling. Status gizi dikur menggunakan indeks massa tubuh (IMT) dengan melakukan pengukuran berat badan dan tinggi badan. Common mental disorders diukur menggunakan Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale (DASS). Emotional eating diukur menggunakan Adult Eating Behavior Questionnaire (AEBQ). Analisis menggunakan program SPSS menggunakan uji Chi-Square. Hasil: Rata-rata usia responden (20 tahun ± 1,6), mayoritas perempuan, tertinggi pada rumpun fakultas sosial-humaniora (46,5%), mayoritas angkatan 2021 (29%), sebanyak 57,6% bukan penerima beasiswa, tertinggi pada lama tinggal 1-12 bulan (51%), dan mayoritas UKT golongan 0-2 (52,7%). Sebanyak 33,9% mengalami status gizi kurang (kurus dan sangat kurus), dan sebanyak 13,4% mengalami status gizi lebih (gemuk dan obesitas). Sebanyak 37,1% mengalami common mental disorders, termasuk depresi ringan (6,9%), sedang (6,5%), berat (1,6%), kecemasan ringan (15,1%), sedang (12,2%), berat (2,9%), sangat berat (2,0%). Sebanyak 78,8% mengalami emotional eating, dengan 60,8% mengalami emotional under eating dan 28,6% mengalami emotional over eating. Tidak ada hubungan common mental disorders dengan status gizi dengan p-value = 0,300 dan ada hubungan emotional eating dengan status gizi dengan p-value = 0,017. Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan antara emotional eating dengan status gizi pada mahasiswa di asrama mahasiswa sehingga perlu adanya upaya lebih lanjut untuk mengganti tindakan mengalihkan stres selain makanan seperti olahraga dan seni. One of the factors that can indirectly influence nutritional status is psychological factors and stress management mechanisms, such as general mental disorders and emotional eating behavior. When these conditions persist long term, they can negatively impact a person's nutritional status. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between common mental disorders and emotional eating and the nutritional status of students at Hasanuddin University Student Dormitory. Methods: This research was conducted on 245 students at Hasanuddin University Student Dormitory who were selected using the proportional random sampling method. Nutritional status is measured using body mass index (BMI) by measuring body weight and height. Common mental disorders are measured using Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale (DASS). Emotional eating was measured using the Adult Eating Behavior Questionnaire (AEBQ). Analysis using the SPSS program using the Chi-Square test. Results: Average age of respondents (20 years ± 1.6), majority female, highest in social-humanities faculties (46.5%), majority of class of 2021 (29%), 57.6% not recipients of scholarships, highest the length of stay is 1-12 months (51%), and the majority are in the UKT group 0-2 (52.7%). As many as 33.9% experienced undernutrition status (thin and very thin), and 13.4% experienced overnutrition status (overweight and obese). As many as 37.1% experienced common mental disorders, including mild depression (6.9%), moderate (6.5%), severe (1.6%), mild anxiety (15.1%), moderate (12.2%) %), severe (2.9%), very severe (2.0%). As many as 78.8% experienced emotional eating, with 60.8% experiencing emotional under eating and 28.6% experiencing emotional over eating. There is no relationship between common mental disorders and nutritional status with p-value = 0.300 and there is a relationship between emotional eating and nutritional status with p-value = 0.017. Conclusion: There is a relationship between emotional eating and the nutritional status of students in student dormitories so that further efforts are needed to replace stress diverting actions other than food, such as sport and art. Abstract

Pendahuluan: Wasting merupakan bentuk malnutrisi akut yang ditandai dengan nilai z-score < -2 SD berdasarkan berat badan menurut tinggi badan. Wasting mempunyai hubungan timbal balik dengan morbiditas pada anak. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kejadian wasting, status morbiditas, dan status imunisasi dasar pada anak usia 12-59 bulan di Kabupaten Banggai. Bahan dan Metode: Desain penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasional deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Lokasi penelitian di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Toili 1 dan Puskesmas Sinorang, yang dilakukan pada bulan Juli-Agustus 2023. Jumlah sampel yaitu 172 orang dari populasi balita dengan riwayat wasting dan dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Dalam pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner dan pengukuran antropometri (BB dan TB/PB). Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dalam program SPSS. Hasil: Prevalensi wasting, balita dengan status imunisasi dasar tidak lengkap, balita yang mengalami sakit dalam 2 minggu terakhir masing – masing 25%; 56,4%; 27,9%. Kemudian pada balita wasting, lebih banyak berusia 24-35 bulan (39,5%), berjenis kelamin laki-laki (67,4%), status imunisasi dasar lengkap (29,3%), dan yang mengalami sakit (27,9%). Kesimpulan: Terdapat angka kejadian wasting yang tinggi, status morbiditas untuk kejadian ISPA tinggi, dan banyaknya anak dengan status imunisasi dasar tidak lengkap di Kabupaten Banggai.

Abstract

Stunting is one instance of a failure to thrive owing to chronic malnutrition in children under five (babies under five years old). This condition is characterised by a height (TB) that is not adequate for age based on the Z-index score calculation indicator Height according to Age (TB/U zscore). Increased understanding, attitudes, and behaviour about MP-ASI innovation is the goal of this community service project for mothers under five, nursing moms, and pregnant women in Pakatto Village, Je'nemadinging, Pacellekang Village, and Panaikang Village as Locus Villages. Stunting in 2022 in Gowa Regency. Over the course of a three-week intervention, lectures, conversations, and hands-on cooking and learning activities were the mode of instruction. The Wilcoxon test was employed for data analysis. The findings showed that, in Pakatto village (P-value = 0.011) and Pacellekang (P-value = 0.011), there were differences in the knowledge of expectant mothers, nursing mothers, and mothers of toddlers before and after the MP-ASI innovation demonstration education. In the meanwhile, there was no difference in the pre- and post-MP-ASI innovation demonstration education knowledge of expectant mothers, nursing mothers, and mothers of toddlers in the villages of Je'nemadinging and Panaikang (P-value > 0.05). In order to attain even better outcomes, further empowerment initiatives must be implemented.

Abstract

Wasting is still a widespread nutritional problem. Wasting refers to a state of acute malnutrition resulting from body weight that is disproportionate to body size or height. The cause of wasting is acute hunger due to lack of nutrition through feeding patterns. The aim of this research is to understand the relationship between feeding patterns and the incidence of wasting in toddlers aged 12-59 months in Banggai Regency, Central Sulawesi. The research was carried out from July to August 2023 in the working areas of the Toili I Health Center and the Sinorang Health Center. The method used is quantitative with a cross-sectional design. Samples were taken using purposive sampling with the number of subjects being 172 toddlers who had experienced wasting. Data were collected using the Child Feeding Questionnaire and anthropometric measurements (BB, TB/PB, and LiLA). The chi-square test was used in data analysis. The research results showed that 25% of toddlers experienced wasting and most mothers (62.2%) had appropriate feeding patterns. In terms of types of food, 59.3% of mothers rarely provide food sources of vitamins, and in terms of meal schedules, 62.7% of mothers rarely provide snacks and 73.8% of mothers rarely provide fruit and vegetables. This research concludes that there is a relationship between feeding patterns and the incidence of wasting in toddlers aged 12-59 months in Banggai Regency, Central Sulawesi. In subjects experiencing wasting, there were more inappropriate feeding patterns found at 33.8%. On the other hand, subjects who did not experience wasting were more likely to get the right feeding pattern by 80.4%. So it is hoped that mothers can improve various skills and knowledge that focus on responsive feeding eating.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pemberian smoothies kurma terhadap indeks massa tabuh (IMT) dan lingkar lengan atas (LILA) remaja dengan KEK dan anemia. Desain penelitian quasy experimental dengan control grup pretest dan posttest. Penelitian ini terbagi menjadi 2 kelompok yaitu kelompok intervensi diberikan 150 ml smoothies kurma dan kelompok kontrol diberikan 150 ml susu UHT tanpa kurma, masing-masing diberikan selama 60 hari dan dilakukan pemeriksaan IMT dan LILA. Analisis0data menggunakan uji0T-test, uji Mann-Whitney, dan Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan IMT pada kelompok intervensi adalah 0,21 kg/m2 sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol adalah 0,18 kg/m2. Peningkatan LILA pada kelompok intervensi adalah 0,21 cm sedangkan kelompok kontrol adalah 0,35 cm. Terdapat perbedaan signifikan pada IMT kelompok intervensi dan kontrol setelah perlakuan, serta pada LILA kelompok intervensi sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan (p-value = 0,002). Kesimpulannya yaitu mengkonsumsi smoothies kurma mampu meningkatkan IMT dan LILA pada remaja putri dengan KEK dan anemia.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Emosi memiliki pengaruh dalam pemilihan makanan dan kebiasaan makan seseorang, di mana makanan sering dijadikan sebagai mekanisme koping untuk meredakan emosi tersebut. Dampak yang terjadi dapat mempengaruhi nafsu makan, baik menurunkan atau meningkatkan. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat stres dengan perilaku emotional eating pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir Program Sarjana di Fakultas Kesehatan Masyarakat Universitas Hasanuddin. Bahan dan Metode: Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei analitik dengan desain cross-sectional. Besar sampel ditentukan menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel proporsional sampling yang berjumlah 120 responden. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pengisian kuesioner Student Stress Inventory (SSI) dan Dutch Eating Behaviour Questionnaire (DEBQ) serta pengukuran antropometri tinggi badan dan berat badan. Analisis data dengan program SPSS menggunakan chi-square. Hasil: Presentase tertinggi pada jenis kelamin perempuan (85%) dengan usia terbanyak pada 20-22 tahun (81,7%) dan pada program studi Kesehatan Masyarkat (66,7%) angkatan 2020 (77,5%). Distribusi status gizi berdasarkan IMT menunjukkan mahasiswa tingkat akhir FKM berstatus gizi gemuk dengan (20%) dan kurus (20,8%). Pada kategori stres terbanyak dialami pada kategori sedang sebanyak (46,7%), dan untuk kategori emotional eating terbanyak pada tingkat sedang dengan (51,7%). Pada hasil uji bivariat pada analisis hubungan menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara stres dengan emotional eating (p-value = 0,003) pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir program sarjana di Fakultas Kesehatan Masyarakat Universitas Hasanuddin. Kesimpulan: Stres dapat mempengaruhi emotional eating. Disarankan kepada mahasiswa untuk mengontrol koping stres yang dialami seperti berfokus pada olahraga, menulis jurnal, menjaga pola makan sehat dan mengatur waktu istirahat juga penting untuk keseimbangan mental dan fisik. Abstract

Kota Makassar adalah salah satu kota yang meraih penghargaan Swasta Saba Wistara 5 kali berturut-turut. Penghargaan tersebut tidak melihat salah satu aspek yang dinilai sangat penting yaitu indikator pulau sehat. Hal ini dikarenakan indikator pulau sehat di Indonesia masih belum diselenggarakan sebab masih mengikuti sistem administrasi Kabupaten/Kota sehat. Tujuan dari pengembangan model ini adalah untuk menyusun indikator dan model pulau sehat di Kota Makassar. Pengembangan model dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Mixed Methods. Tahap 1 menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yaitu melakukan wawancara mendalam dan FGD dengan tokoh-tokoh kunci yang sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian. Tahap 1 ini banyak menyusun indikator pulau sehat berdasarkan hasil penilaian dan need assessment yang dilakukan. Tahap 2 penelitian ini adalah melakukan penilaian indikator dan kemudian menyusun model pulau sehat. Etika penelitian ini berasal dari Universitas Hasanuddin.
