Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effect of implementing Problem-Based Learning (PBL) with Open-Ended Questions on improving the critical thinking skills of students in the economics subject at State Senior High School 1 Ciamis. The study was motivated by the students' low level of critical thinking skills. This research employed a quasi-experimental method with a Non-equivalent Pre-test Post-test Control Group Design. Data were collected using tests and interviews. The population for this study consisted of all 178 eleventh-grade Social Sciences (XI IPS) students at SMAN 1 Ciamis for the 2024/2025 academic year. The sample, selected through purposive sampling, comprised class XI IPS 3, with 35 students, as the control group, and class XI IPS 4, with 36 students, as the experimental group. The research findings indicate a difference in the improvement of critical thinking skills. The experimental group, which used Problem-Based Learning with Open-Ended Questions, achieved an average post-test score of 58.33, whereas the control group, which used a direct instruction model, obtained an average post-test score of 46.50. Furthermore, there was a significant difference in the improvement of critical thinking skills between the experimental and control groups, with a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that H₀ was rejected and Hₐ was accepted.

This study aims to determine the influence of financial literacy, family environment, and peers on saving behavior. The research method used was a survey with an associative research design. The population for this study consisted of 552 tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Sindangkasih, with a sample of 232 students selected using a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed with multiple linear regression. The t-test results indicate that each independent variable has a positive and significant influence on saving behavior. The F-test proves that all three variables simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on saving behavior. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R Square) test yielded a value of 0.424, which means that financial literacy, family environment, and peers contribute 42.4% to saving behavior. Meanwhile, the remaining 57.6% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. Therefore, these findings suggest that enhancing financial literacy, the family environment, and peer influence can contribute to an increase in students' saving behavior.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of AI chatbot usage on the critical thinking skills of eleventh-grade students at State Senior High School 6 Tasikmalaya. This study employed a quantitative method with a survey design. The population consisted of all 118 eleventh-grade students, using a saturated sampling technique. The research instruments included a Likert scale questionnaire for the AI chatbot usage variable and an essay test for the critical thinking skills variable. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression with the aid of SPSS 25. The results showed a significant effect of AI chatbot usage on students' critical thinking skills, with a calculated F-value of 122.268 > F-table of 3.92 and a significance of 0.000 < 0.05. The calculation of the Interval Tier Value (NJI) indicated that students' critical thinking skills were in the high category with a total score of 8,846. The highest indicator was 'simple explanation' (21.32%), while the lowest was 'further explanation' (17.17%). In conclusion, the use of AI chatbots positively contributes to the enhancement of students' critical thinking skills in economics learning.

Abstract

The problem addressed in this study is the low learning outcomes of students in the Economics subject at State Senior High School 6 Tasikmalaya, indicated by the large number of students who have not met the Learning Objectives Achievement Criteria (KKTP). This low achievement is apparent across various learning outcome indicators, including intellectual skills, cognitive strategies, attitudes, and motor skills, which have not been optimally developed. This phenomenon prompted an investigation into the factors influencing learning outcomes, encompassing both internal aspects, such as self-efficacy and learning interest, and external aspects, like the family environment. This study aimed to determine the partial and simultaneous influence of self-efficacy, learning interest, and family environment on the learning outcomes of eleventh-grade students in Economics. The study employed a quantitative approach with a survey method using a questionnaire. The sample consisted of 118 students selected through a saturated sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression via SPSS version 25. The results showed that self-efficacy significantly influences learning outcomes, learning interest significantly influences learning outcomes, and the family environment also significantly influences learning outcomes. Simultaneously, these three variables have a significant effect on learning outcomes, with an R-Square value of 0.667. This indicates that their combined contribution accounts for 66.7% of the learning outcomes, while the remaining 33.3% is influenced by other factors not examined in this research.

Abstract

The main problem related to this research is the low learning outcomes of students in economic subjects. This study aims to determine the increase in student learning outcomes before and after treatment as well as differences in the improvement of student learning outcomes in experimental classes with a team games tournament (TGT) type cooperative learning model assisted by monopoly game media and control classes with a jigsaw learning model. The research was conducted at MAN 3 Tasikmalaya. The research method used was quasi-experimental method. The research design used was nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study was class XI MAN 3 Tasikmalaya Academic Year 2024/2025 totaling 143 students. The sample used was XI-J which amounted to 36 people as an experimental class and XI-K class which amounted to 36 people as a control class with sampling using purposive sampling technique with a total of 72 students. The instrument used was a multiple choice question in economics as many as 25 questions. The data analysis technique uses the help of the SPSS 25 program, namely the paired sample t-test and the independent sample t-test with a significance level of 0.000. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of the team games tournament (TGT) learning model assisted by monopoly game media in improving the learning outcomes of students in the economic subject of labor material in the experimental class, there is an effect of the jigsaw learning model in improving the learning outcomes of students in the economic subject of labor material in the control class, and the average posttest value of the experimental class is higher than the control class.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the low interest of students in entrepreneurship besides that, this study aims to determine the number of people who want to become entrepreneurs so that the economic level in Indonesia increases and becomes an opportunity to create jobs not only rely on jobs because of the high unemployment rate in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of social media use, intrinsic motivation and entrepreneurial knowledge on entrepreneurial interest. The research method uses a survey with a descriptive design. The population is students of the Economics Education Department of Siliwangi University Class of 2020-2023, totaling 503 students. while the sampling technique used is prabobability sampling type proportionate stratified sampling. So that the total sample taken was 222 students consisting of the number of Class of 2020 as many as 52 people, Class of 2021 as many as 49 people, Class of 2022 as many as 60 people and Class of 2023 as many as 61 people. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, data analysis techniques using classical assumption tests, linear regression tests and hypothesis testing. The results showed that the use of social media has a significant effect on the entrepreneurial interest of economic education students in the Class of 2020 - 2023 with a significance value smaller than 5% (0.000 <0.05), also with intrinsic motivation has a significant effect on entrepreneurial interest in economic education students in the Class of 2020 - 2023 with a significance value smaller than 5% (0.000 <0.05), Likewise with entrepreneurial knowledge that has on entrepreneurial interest in economic education students class of 2020 - 2023 with a significance value smaller than 5% (0.001 <0.05), the use of social media, intrinsic motivation and entrepreneurial knowledge has a positive influence significance on entrepreneurial interest in economic education students Class of 2020 - 2023, with a significance value smaller than 5% (0.000 <0.05).

Abstract

Teaching is a very noble job and requires various competencies so that the teacher's work can be done optimally. The choice of the teaching profession is influenced by various factors, one of which is interest. This study aims to identify the influence of Siliwangi University FETT students' perceptions of the teaching profession, PLP experience, and their level of self-confidence (self-efficacy) on their interest in becoming teachers both partially and simultaneously. Through a quantitative approach, the population of this study amounted to 1076 FETT students of Siliwangi University class of 2020. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling of 291 students, the data collection technique used a questionnaire. The results showed that: 1) The partial test results state that the significant value is 0.160, meaning that there is no influence between the perception of the teaching profession and the interest in becoming a teacher, 2) the significance value of the introduction of the school field is 0.001, which means that there is an influence of the introduction of the school field on interest in becoming a teacher, 3) the significance value of self-efficacy is 0.000, meaning that there is an influence between self-efficacy and interest in becoming a teacher, 4) Simultaneously the significance value obtained is 0.000, meaning that there is an influence between the perception of the teaching profession, the introduction of the school field and self-efficacy on interest in becoming a teacher.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the low learning outcomes of students. The purpose of this study was to improve the learning outcomes of students in economic subjects by using the Problem Based Learning learning model assisted by Video Media in improving Student Learning Outcomes (Quasi Experiment on Economics Class XI SMA Negeri 10 Tasikmalaya). The method used is quasi experiment with research design The Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study were classes XI-8, XI-9 and XI-10, XI-11, XI-12 and the research sample used was 2 classes. The samples in this study were class XI-8 as the experimental class and XI-10 as the control class with nonprobability sampling with purposive sampling type. Based on the results of the study, it explains that there is a significant difference in improving student learning outcomes by using the Problem Based Learning learning model with video media assistance on labor material, where the average posttest value is superior to the average posttest using the Problem Based Learning learning model with video media assistance, thus it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning learning model with video media assistance can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the influence of the Problem Based Learning learning model on learning outcomes. The research method used was quasi-experimental with the research design being a non-equivalent control group design using pretest and posttest student learning outcomes on employment material. The population used was all class XI students at SMA Negeri 10 Tasikmalaya, totaling 427 students. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling which had chosen class X-12 as the experimental class and class XI-9 as the control class, with each sample class totaling 36 students. The data collection technique is a multiple choice test with 30 questions according to Bloom's taxonomy indicators from C1-C6. The data analysis technique is carried out by testing prerequisite analysis and hypothesis testing. The results of this research show that there are differences in student learning outcomes between the experimental class and the control class as seen from the posttest score in the experimental class of 82.38 and the N-gain value of 0.66. Based on the hypothesis test calculation, it can be seen that the Sig. (2-tailed) namely 0.000 < 0.05 so it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Problem Based Learning learning model on student learning outcomes

Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of Self Direct Learning on Learning Achievement through Learning Motivation in Economics Subjects. The problem raised in this study is to examine and understand the extent to which Self-Directed Learning affects student learning achievement in Economics subjects, either directly or through learning motivation as a mediating variable. The research method used survey with descriptive design. The population is students of SMAN 1 Singaparna, a total of 181 people. The sampling technique used was proportionated random sampling, so that the sample taken was 125 students. Data collection techniques in this study used a questionnaire, and statistical tests using path analysis. The results showed that Self Direct Learning affects Learning Achievement directly, but does not affect indirectly through learning motivation.
