Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of parental involvement in improving students' learning based on students' opinions. This study used descriptive quantitative research methods. This research was conducted in four public junior high schools in Gowa Regency. The study population consisted of grade IX students with a total population of 1428 students. The research sample was determined by purposive sampling by taking 40 students from each school so that the research sample amounted to 160 students. The results showed that based on students' opinions, each indicator in this study basically did affect students' learning achievement. From the results of the study, it was found that the most influential indicator was that parents always motivate and provide advice regarding future plans with a total percentage of 85.63% then 83% in the indicator parents always take the time to ask how things are going at school and the third indicator 81.25% in the statement parents always participate and attend activities organized by the school. Therefore, the school must develop and improve each of these indicators in order to have an optimal influence on student achievement. This study provides recommendations so that schools can play an active role optimally in increasing parental involvement in improving student achievement.

Abstract

Abstract. Disasters can trigger Post-Traumatic Disorder (PTSD). Children are highly vulnerable to these impacts, so they need psychological assistance. PFA activities aim to maintain the mental health of children affected by the earthquake so that they do not experience PTSD and increase understanding and psychological well-being. One of the services that can be provided is Psychological First Aid (PFA). This activity includes planning, training, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up stages. This PFA activity focused on dozens of children who were earthquake victims in the Joglo Prawatasi refugee camp, Cianjur. The activity implementation went smoothly, and other volunteer teams, BNPD and kitabisa.com, received appreciation. Impact of PFA on earthquake victim children 1) Reducing trauma symptoms; 2) Increased understanding of disasters; 3) Provide a sense of security and support; 4) Help children express emotions; and 5) Increasing empowerment and psychological recovery. Coordination, mental readiness, and competence of volunteers are supporting factors in carrying out activities properly. Abstrak. Bencana dapat memicu munculnya Post-Traumatic Disorder (PTSD). Anak-anak memiliki tingkat kerentanan yang tinggi terhadap dampak ini, sehingga membutuhkan bantuan psikologis. Kegiatan PFA betujuan untuk menjaga Kesehatan mental anak-anak korban gempa sehingga tidak mengalami PTSD dan menignkatkan pemahaman dan kesejahtraan psikologi. Salah satu layanan yang dapat diberikan adalah Psychological First Aid (PFA). Kegiatan ini meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelatihan, implementasi, evaluasi, dan tindak lanjut. Kegiatan PFA ini difokuskan pada anak-anak yang menjadi korban gempa bumi di camp pengungsian Joglo Prawatasi, Cianjur, yang berjumlah puluhan. Pelaksanaan kegiatan berjalan lancar dan mendapatkan apresiasi dari tim relawan lain, BNPD, dan kitabisa.com. Dampak PFA pada anak-anak korban gempa bumi 1) Mengurangi gejala trauma; 2) Peningkatan pemahaman bencana; 3) Memberikan rasa aman dan dukungan; 4) Membantu anak-anak mengungkapkan emosi; dan 5) Meningkatkan keberdayaan dan pemulihan psikologi. Koordinasi, kesiapan mental, dan kompetensi relawan merupakan faktor pendukung dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan dengan baik.

Abstract

Abstract. This article aims to provide insight and knowledge to the academic community that a lesson has three aspects that need to be present in learning Logos, Ethos and Pathos, as well as the curriculum context that needs to be present in learning. In the setting of national seminar activities for the academic community, both education practitioners and students. The activity focuses on implementing BK in the independent campus curriculum. This service is carried out using the lecturing socialization method. As a result of this service, participants from this activity gain knowledge and understanding regarding what Logos, Ethos and Pathos are like and understand the implementation of the independent curriculum in a fun learning strategy setting, active participants in discussions and evaluating the results of the conference activities. Abstrak. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memberikan wawasan dan pengetahuan pada masyarakat akademik bahwa suatu pembelajaran memiliki tiga aspek yang perlu ada dalam pembelajaran Logos, Etos dan Patos serta konteks kurikulum yang perlu ada dalam pembelajaran. Dalam seting kegiatan seminar nasional pada civitas akademika baik praktisi pendidikan, dan mahasiswa. Bahwasanya kegiatan focus pada menyampaikan bagaimana implementasi BK dalam kurikulum kampus merdeka. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode lecturing socialization. Hasil dari pengabdian ini peserta dari kegiatan pengabdian ini mendapatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman terkait seperti apa Logos, Etos dan Patos serta memahami pelaksanaan dari kurikulum merdeka dalam seting strategi pembelajaran yang menyenangkan, peserta aktif dalam diskusi dan mengevaluasi hasil dari kegiatan seminar.

Abstract

The background to this community service is parents' low knowledge of the developmental tasks children need to achieve at an early age and their low understanding of how to provide stimulus to young children late in achieving their developmental tasks. The method used is the PAR (Participatory Action Research) method, which consists of the preparation, implementation, and closing stages. The results obtained are that parents and posyandu cadres gain knowledge about the characteristics of early childhood, early childhood development tasks, and the importance of this developmental task being carried out well, parents and posyandu cadres understand better how to provide stimulus and also apply parenting patterns to early childhood, as well as creating better communication relationships and parenting patterns in dealing with early childhood.

Abstract

Dalam pandangan profesi yang bersifat sosial seperti konseling dan psikoterapi, empati memainkan perananan penting sebagai jembatan untuk membagun hubungan terapeutik yang efektif sehingga konselor dapat memahami pengalaman klien, rendahnya tingkat empati akan secara nyata menunjukkan sifat yang merusak hubungan antara klien dengan konselor. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas dari layanan bimbingan klasikal dalam mengembangkan empati mahasiswa program studi bimbingan dan konseling Universitas Ma’soem angkatan 2023. Metode kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian pra eksperimen one group pre-test post-test design digunakan dalam penelitian ini, jumlah populasi 42 mahasiswa dengan penggunaan sampel jenuh. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Empathy Scale for Prospective Counselor (ESPC) yang dikembangkan berdasarkan teori Segal (2018). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi 0,875 dan nilai Thitung -,158 menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan antara nilai pre-test dengan nilai post-test artinya layanan bimbingan klasikal tidak efektif untuk mengembangkan empati, Dengan demikian, pada penelitian ini H0 diterima dan H1 ditolak.

Abstract

Pendampingan orang tua dalam membentuk lingkungan rumah yang mendukung literasi anak usia dini di era digital bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan orang tua dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digital secara bijak. Kegiatan ini dilakukan melalui tiga tahapan: pembukaan, pelaksanaan, dan penutupan. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa peserta memiliki pemahaman lebih baik tentang strategi mengelola penggunaan teknologi digital, memilih konten yang sesuai, serta menggabungkan aktivitas literasi digital dan tradisional. Diskusi terbuka dan evaluasi memperkuat kepercayaan diri orang tua dalam mengimplementasikan strategi literasi di rumah. Saran untuk kegiatan serupa di masa depan termasuk memperluas jangkauan program, meningkatkan intensitas kegiatan, menyediakan dukungan berkelanjutan, dan berkolaborasi dengan sekolah. Pendampingan ini efektif dalam membangun kesadaran orang tua tentang pentingnya literasi di era digital dan mendukung perkembangan literasi anak secara holistik.

Abstract

This socialization activity is based on children who are cared for and live with grandmothers so that it affects the development of children's personality and character. The parenting style applied by grandmothers is different from the parenting style applied by their parents. This has a significant effect on the formation of children's personality and character. The purpose of this community service program is to provide understanding to parents and grandmothers about the importance of parenting in the formation of happy and confident children's characters in Cisitu Village. The method in this service activity is to use PAR (Participatory Action Research) which includes the stages of planning, implementation, results and evaluation. The results of the activity have been carried out well, parents gain knowledge on how to provide positive parenting to children and grandchildren because this is an effort to shape the character of children.

Abstract

One of the MSMEs in Cimalaka Village is Ikasari's MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) which are engaged in food processing. In addition, Ikasari's also has private rice fields with abundant crops. The harvest will go through a post-harvest process which will eventually produce rice, and the rest of the rice milling results will become groin rice. The purpose of this activity is to utilize groat rice from rice milling into an economically valuable product for MSME owners in Cimalaka Village. The method used in this activity uses the PAR (Participatory Action Research) approach. The results of this activity have a positive impact and reduce crop waste to be more useful and add profits to Ikasari's MSMEs. The owner has done his own product marketing and sustainable product manufacturing.

Abstract

The background of the study is the low achievement motivation of the studentsin which they are unable to show their potential optimally. Thisstudy aims to increase the students’achievementmotivation throughroleplay. The study employed a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent (pretest and posttest) control group design. The participants of the study were the grade X students ofSMAN 6  Bandung in academic year 2019/2020. The result shows that students’ achievement motivation is increased through role play. Role playtechniqueis able to provide changes in the students’ attitudes which are supported by the results of the assessment conducted on selected students as assessors.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat baca dan kemampuan literasi anak usia dini melalui pengembangan program taman baca. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan Oriented – Project Planning (OPP), dengan tahapan meliputi: sosialisasi dan identifikasi kebutuhan, pelatihan dan pengembangan kapasitas guru, penerapan teknologi literasi, pendampingan, serta evaluasi program. Program ini melibatkan guru, orang tua, dan masyarakat dalam upaya menciptakan lingkungan literasi yang kondusif bagi anak-anak. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan survei untuk menilai efektivitas program serta umpan balik dari peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa program taman baca berbasis SDL berhasil meningkatkan minat baca anak-anak dan keterampilan literasi mereka. Guru dan pengelola taman baca mengalami peningkatan kapasitas dalam mengelola program literasi yang lebih efektif dan interaktif. Meskipun demikian, terdapat beberapa tantangan dalam pelaksanaan, seperti keterbatasan fasilitas dan keterlibatan orang tua. Untuk keberlanjutan program, direkomendasikan adanya peningkatan koleksi buku, pelatihan berkelanjutan bagi guru, serta peningkatan partisipasi masyarakat dalam mendukung kegiatan literasi.
