Abstract

Ease of access to technology tools is an opportunity for school counsellors to develop diverse and interesting media guidance services. But if the counsellor does not have digital literacy capabilities, the service of media development can become irrelevant, obsolete, and abandoned. This literature review aims to illustrate the importance of digital literacy as a school counsellor competency, as well as outlining aspects of digital literacy in media development. The study uses textbooks, research journals, and community service report as an analysis of the application of digital literacy to educational practices. Based on this study, school counsellors are required to be able to process and evaluate digital information/data and create digital products that are more relevant to learners. Digital literacy competencies consist of 1) underpinning,  2) background knowledge, 3) central competencies, 4) attitudes, and perspectives. The key to this competency is critical thinking,  and school counsellors can get used to brainstorming to practice it.  Keywords: Digital Literacy, Media, Guidance and Counseling

Abstract

Learning is the main task for students. In its implementation, learning activities can be carried out effectively without obstacles and can also be hampered by various things. Learning activities can be hampered by several things that prove academic stress and academic procrastination. Learning activities as much as possible avoid academic stress and academic procrastination and need to be supported by certain aspects, one of them is academic flow. The academic flow needs to be raised by educators, so educators need methods that can develop students' academic flow. This article aims to describe the concept of academic flow and some alternative methods that can be an option for developing students' academic flow.

Abstract

Students are individuals who are entering adulthood, where at this time, students will explore many things in their life. It is not uncommon for students to experience failures, which, if not handled properly, will lead to an inferiority complex or a situation in which excessive inferiority creates a negative view of themselves. The inferiority complex in students will trigger many distractions, such as stress and frustration that will interfere with their activities and education. This article will focus on discussing understanding the basic concepts of the inferiority complex and also the inferiority complex in students. The method used in this article is a literature study from various sources. This article provides an understanding of the inferiority complex in general and that occurs in students and reduces it not to have a negative impact.

Abstract

Academic flow is one of the determining factors for the success of the learning process. This study aims to determine trends in academic flow before, during, and after the end of the pandemic. This study uses a literature review as a data collection tool. The results showed differences in the condition of academic flow in adolescents and factors that influenced both internal and external. During the pandemic, junior high school Adolescence academic flow tended to be at a moderate level, while high school Adolescence academic flow was at a low level. After the pandemic, conditions in junior high school youth tended to be at a low level. Internal factors that affect academic flow conditions are self-awareness, resilience, academic competence, intelligence categorization, religiosity, achievement motivation, self-efficacy, and self-regulated learning. At the same time, external factors are social support, peer and teacher support, learning methods, and the environment. In increasing academic flow, anchor for flow can be an effective technique.

Abstract

This article aims to comprehensively describe the evaluation of guidance and counseling in the perspective of Stuffelbeam and Dahir Stone. This research method uses the literature study method. The data obtained were compiled, analyzed, and concluded so as to obtain conclusions regarding the study of literature. The stages in the literature review are 1) planning, 2) conducting, 3) reporting. The data of the study that was carried out included a study of understanding, philosophical foundations and evaluation principles based on the perspective of Stuffelbeam and Dahir stone. The results of this study are in the form of a study of the Stuffelbeam and Dahir stone perspectives, namely the study of understanding, philosophy, and evaluation principles as a research basis related to the evaluation of guidance and counseling.

Abstract

The present study aimed to discover the effectiveness of coping strategies to improve student’s emotional intelligence in MA Asy-Syfa Cipatat during the Covid-19 Outbreak. The study used a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The thirty-eight students were involved in this study, determined using total sampling. The data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using a t-test. The present study exhibited that coping strategies are effective to improve the emotional intelligence of students MA Asy-Syfa.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to reveal the effectiveness of strength-based counseling in developing students' academic hardiness. The approach used is quantitative with the experimental method, and the design used is one group pretest-posttest control group. The instrument used to obtain data is the Academic Hardiness Scale which has gone through a revision process. The research participants involved eight students with low levels of academic hardiness. The results of the study show that strength-based counseling is effective in increasing student academic hardiness. The results of this study showed that the academic hardiness of students before the implementation of strength-based counseling had an average of 40.5 (SD = 2.88) and after given treatment with strength-based counseling, it increased to 52,625 (SD = 5.07). The results of the paired t-test show that Strength-based Group Counseling is effective in developing student academic hardiness.Keyword: strength-based counseling, academic hardiness, guidance and counselingAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap efektivitas strength-based counseling untuk meningkatkan academic hardiness mahasiswa. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah  kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen, dan desain yang digunakan adalah one group pretest-posttest control group. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data adalah Academic Hardiness Scale yang telah melalui proses revisi. Partisipan penelitian melibatkan delapan mahasiswa dengan tingkat academic hardiness yang rendah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strength based counseling efektif meningkatkan academic hardiness mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan academic hardiness mahasiswa sebelum diterapkan strength-based counseling memiliki rata-rata sebesar 40.5 (SD = 2.88) dan setelah diberikan perlakuan denga strength-based counseling meningkat menjadi sebesar 52.625 (SD = 5.07). Hasil uji t berpasangan menunjukkan bahwa Strength-based Group Counseling efektif untuk meningkatkan academic hardiness mahasiswa.Kata Kunci: strength-based counseling, academic hardiness, bimbingan dan konseling

Abstract

The Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Society 5.0 became one of Indonesia's educational attainment standards. The integration of technology in education is mandatory. As an integral part of education, guidance, and counseling are required to support a conducive and technology-friendly educational climate. Digital literacy is one of the competencies that must be possessed by guidance and counseling (GC) teachers. This study aims to map the distribution of GC teachers' digital literacy competencies. The respondents are 64 guidance and counseling teachers at a state high school in Bandung. Similar studies have been conducted but are not yet based on comprehensive competency standards. This study uses a quantitative approach with descriptive research methods. Data was collected through a survey using a GC teacher digital literacy self-assessment inventory. Collecting data using a questionnaire to reveal the level of digital literation, which is then analyzed conceptually and empirically from the digital literacy profile of GC teachers, using Technical Competencies for Counselor Education - The Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES). Based on the study results, GC teachers' digital literacy competency profile at public high schools in Bandung City has a good trend, where GC teachers can use digital literacy to support the primary activities of the daily counseling profession. Generally, men have a higher trend in digital literacy competencies than women. In the use of social media, women have a higher tendency than men. The penetration rate of ICT implementation in counseling services is still low.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the social development of adolescents in an authoritarian parenting style. Several previous studies have found that adolescents in families with authoritarian parenting tend to have negative social behaviour. This study uses the literature study method by analyzing several previous studies. The research steps are as follows: 1) looking for the topic to be studied, 2) prioritizing the literature to be studied, 3) making an abstraction, and 4) using a literature guide with a review style. The study's results found that authoritarian parenting tends to harm social development. It can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between parenting style and adolescent social development. Further research is recommended, especially for a student in boarding school who partially interacts with the parent.

Abstract

Marginalized people are typically at risk of undesirable outcomes and experiences. Youth, especially those who the deaf, face significant challenges in making the transition from school to career life. Vocational Training is organized by the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia to equip deaf youth with skills that suit their interests and talents. Empowerment can be understood as acknowledging or empowering oneself, gaining or regaining the power, energy, and imagination to structure one's situation. This research uses a qualitative research approach with a case study with as many as four deaf people as informants who have carried out a vocational training program located at Balai Melati. Methods of data collection in studies using depth interviews. Data validity was tested using source triangulation and member-checking methods. Furthermore, the data analysis techniques were interactive models consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results of this study show that vocational training can be a means of empowerment for deaf individuals. There are barriers to female informants. Without proper support, deaf women cannot contribute effectively to their communities' societies and economies. Within the deaf community, parental hearing status plays an important role. Due to the negative stigma attached to deaf individuals, it is recommended that guidance and counseling services be provided in vocational training programs
