Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray Dan Example Non Example. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Pre-test, post-test. Jumlah populasi sebanyak 203 orang dan jumlah sampel sebanyak 80 orang siswa (Cluster Random Sampling). Kelas VII-2 sebagai kelas eksperimen I dan kelas VII-4 sebagai kelas ekperimen II. Analisis data dilakukan dengan cara mencari rata-rata skor dan standart deviasi, dan hipotesis diuji dengan statistik t atau uji t pada taraf signifikansi α= 0,05. Nilai rata-rata pre-test kelas eksperimen sebesar 44,25 dan nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen I yaitu 76,57. Nilai rata-rata pre-test kelas ekperimen II sebesar 38,50 dan nilai rata-rata post-test kelas kontrol yaitu 65,25. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan denganmenggunakan model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray Dan Example Non Example pada materi saling ketergantungan dalam ekosistem di kelas VII MTs Negeri Tanah Jawa T.P 2018/2019 sebesar 34,12. Dari hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t diperoleh t hitung (7,68) > t tabel (2,00), maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima artinya ada perbedaan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray Dan Example Non Example pada materi saling ketergantungan dalam ekosistem di kelas VII MTs Negeri Tanah Jawa T.P 2018/2019. Disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar yang signifikan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Two Stay Two Stray Dan Example Non Example pada materi saling ketergantungan dalam ekosistem di kelas VII MTs Negeri Tanah Jawa T.P 2018/2019. Abstract

Penelitian ini tentang Perbandingan Hasil Belajar Siswa Dengan Menggunakan Pendekatan Problem Based Instruction (PBI) pada Materi Filum Arthropoda. Dilaksanaka pada bulan bulan mei-juni YP. SMA Erlangga Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adakah perbedaan hasil belajar siswa dalam mempelajari filum arthropoda dengan menggunakan pendekatan Problem Based Instruction,serta untuk mengetahui besarnya perbedaan hasil belajar siswa dalam mempelajari filum arthropoda dengan pendekatan Problem Based Instruction. Populasi dan sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 44 siswa.Dibagi menjadi dua kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen 22 siswa dan kelas kontrol 22 siswa. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menghitung rata-rata skor, Standar Deviasi dan hipotesis diuji dengan statistik t atau uji t pada taraf signifikansi α = 0,05. Nilai rata-rata pre-test dan post-test untuk kelas eksperimen adalah nilai rata-ratanya adalah 3,82 dan 7,14 dan selisih hasil belajar sebesar 3,32. Nilai rata-rata pre-test dan post-test untuk kelas kontrol adalah3,14 dan 4,50 dan memiliki selisih hasil belajar sebesar 1,36. Berdasarkan hasil uji t yang dilakukan ditemukan bahwa, thitung (5,811)>ttabel(2,00). Dengan demikian, Ha diterima dan Hl ditolak.Berdasarkan hasil analisis data tersebut maka disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa dalam mempelajari filum arthropoda dengan menggunakan pendekatan Problem Based Instruction pada siswa kelas X YP. SMA Erlangga Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether pop-up book media assisted by the application of the project-based earning model can be said to be feasible as a learning medium and to determine the increase in the creative dimension of students. This research uses ADDIE development research design and classroom action research (PTK). The results of this study showed a percentage of 86% for media experts who could be categorized as very feasible, 92% for material experts who could be categorized as very feasible, 91% for student responses who were included in the very feasible category. The results of this study also show that there is an increase in the creative dimension of students which can be seen from the acquisition of data in cycle I and cycle II. In cycle I there were 8 students who had criteria to develop according to expectations with a percentage of 32%, then in cycle II as many as 24 students who had criteria to develop very well with a percentage of 96%. So it can be concluded that the media developed in the form of pop-up book media assisted by the project based learning model can be said to be feasible as a learning medium and can increase the creative dimension of students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the development of high school biology teaching materials and improve student learning outcomes using the Predict, Observe, and Explant (POE) learning model. The population in this study was 192 students, consisting of four classes, and the sample taken was one class from Kartika I-4 Private High School, Pematangsiantar. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling, with a sample of 48 students. The instruments used to observe the development of high school biology teaching materials were assessment sheets filled out by observers for student assessment and expert validation in the subject of the human sensory system. The instruments used to assess the level of improvement in student learning outcomes were a pretest and posttest in the form of 20 multiple-choice questions, divided into two sessions, each with 10 questions. Data analysis was performed by calculating the average pretest and posttest scores for each session and calculating the observation scores for student assessment and expert validation. The results of this study obtained student learning outcomes and teaching materials that can be implemented at Kartika I-4 Private High School, Pematangsiantar.

Abstract

The development of Animaker-based animation media in Biology learning for grade XI of Yayasan Perguruan Keluarga Private High School is motivated by the lack of varied learning media, low effectiveness of media use, and inactive, lack of enthusiasm, and lack of student enthusiasm in learning. The research problem in this thesis is how to design Animaker-based animation media in Biology learning and how effective Animaker-based animation media is in Biology learning for grade XI of Yayasan Perguruan Keluarga Private High School. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the Borg & Gall model. The subjects in this study were grade XI students of Yayasan Perguruan Keluarga Private High School, Pematangsiantar. Data collection techniques used expert validation sheets, validation, questionnaires, and observation. Then the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The research results show that Animaker based animation media was designed by: (1) identifying needs, (2) formulating basic competencies, (3) designing the media, (4) conducting validation and trials, with an average validation percentage obtained from material experts with an average percentage score of 93.84% in the Very Feasible category. Meanwhile, from media experts, an average percentage score of 95.29% was obtained in the Very Feasible category. Small-scale field trials obtained an average percentage score of 96.66% in the Very Feasible category. Large-scale field trials obtained an average percentage score of 85.77% in the Very Feasible category. (5) conducting media revisions. The effectiveness of Animaker-based animation media in social studies learning, with a percentage score of 100%, is categorized as very effective learning. This indicates that the Animaker-based animation media that has been developed can be used in the Pematangsiantar Family Education Foundation Private High School.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in student learning outcomes and the magnitude of the differences in student learning outcomes using Kahoot and Quizizz learning media on Animalia material in grade X of SMA Kartika I-4 Pematangsiantar in the 2022/2023 academic year. The population was 181 students consisting of 4 classes, and the sample was taken using Cluster Random Sampling to obtain two classes. Experimental class 1 (X-MIA 3) consisted of 45 students and experimental class 2 (X-MIA 4) consisted of 44 students. Experimental class 1 was treated using the Problem-Based Learning learning model on Animalia material. After that, they were given a final test or post-test using Kahoot, and experimental class 2 was treated using the Problem-Based Learning learning model on Animalia material. After that, they were given a final test or post-test using Quizizz. Data analysis was carried out by finding the mean (X̅ ), standard deviation (S), and hypothesis testing (t-test) at a significance level of α = 0.05. The research results showed that the average pre-test score for experimental class 1 (X-MIA 3) was 29.78 and for experimental class 2 (X-MIA 4) was 32.39. The average post-test score for experimental class 1 (X-MIA 3) was 79.11 and for experimental class 2 (X-MIA 4) was 78.98, with a difference of 0.13. The hypothesis test using the t-test obtained t-count (0.178) < t-table (1.66256). It can be concluded that there is no difference in student learning outcomes using Kahoot and Quizizz based problem-based learning media on Animalia material for grade X students at SMA Kartika I-4 Pematangsiantar in the 2022/2023 academic year.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the teacher-centered learning model at SMP Negeri 4 Pematang Siantar, where students only listen to the teacher's explanations, resulting in inactivity during the lesson. This is partly due to the limited learning resources used. The learning resources used are only textbooks. Assignments, limited to textbooks alone, result in unstructured assignments for students. This study aims to produce a valid and practical Group Investigation-based Student Worksheet (LKS). The type of research used in this study is Research and Development (R&D). The development model used is the 4-D model: define, design, develop, and disseminate. Data collection techniques were carried out through validation, observation, questionnaires, and interviews. The research instruments used were validation sheets, observation sheets, questionnaires, and interview guidelines. The validation sheets and questionnaires were analyzed by finding percentages, while the results of observations and interviews were analyzed using descriptive techniques. Based on the research conducted, it was found that the Group Investigation-based Student Worksheet was declared very valid by the validator with a percentage of 82.14%. The practicality test results from the student response questionnaire were categorized as very practical with a score of 83%, and the teacher response questionnaire was categorized as practical with a score of 78.3%.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the influence of students' perceptions of using WhatsApp as a learning medium on their motivation to learn science online at SMP Negeri 10 Pematangsiantar in the 2020/2021 academic year. The population was all 7th-grade students, consisting of 231 students in 7 classes. The sample was selected using proportional random sampling, with 58 students. Data analysis was performed using normality, linearity, homogeneity, and hypothesis testing, including correlation coefficients, t-tests, coefficients of determination, and linear regression. The normality test results obtained a significance value of 0.946 > 0.05, the linearity test results obtained a significance value of 0.805 > 0.05, the homogeneity test results obtained a value of 0.284 > 0.05, the correlation coefficient test results obtained a value of 0.229, indicating a low correlation level between the influence of student perceptions in the use of WhatsApp on science learning motivation. The coefficient of determination test results obtained 0.35 indicating an influence of student perceptions in the use of WhatsApp on science learning motivation with a percentage level of 3.5%. The results of the linear regression test showed a significance value of 0.084 > 0.05, so it can be concluded that variable x influences variable y. Based on the t value, the calculated t value is 81.163 > t table 1 1.67252, so it can be concluded that variable x influences variable y. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that the influence of student perceptions in the use of WhatsApp as a learning medium on student learning motivation during online learning has a low influence,namely 3.4%.

Abstract

This study compares student learning outcomes using the Example-Non-Example and Picture and-Picture learning models on the Respiratory System in eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri  2 Dolok Panribuan. This study aims to determine whether there are differences in student learning outcomes when learning about the respiratory system using the Example-Non-Example and Picture-and-Picture models, and to determine the magnitude of the differences in student learning outcomes when learning about the respiratory system using the Example-Non-Example and Picture-and-Picture models. The population in this study was all eighth-grade students in the second semester of SMP Negeri 2 Dolok Panribuan in the 2019/2020 academic year, consisting of six classes with a total of 179 students. Sampling was conducted using cluster random sampling. The sample taken in this study was divided into two classes: class VIII-2 (experimental class I) using the Example-Non-Example learning model and class VIII-5 (experimental class II) using the Picture-and-Picture learning model. Data analysis was performed by calculating the average score and standard deviation, and hypotheses were tested using the t-statistic or t-test at a significance level of α = 0.05. Based on the research results obtained, the total pre-test and post-test scores for experimental class I were 1350 and 2670 while the average scores were 42.18 and 83.43. In experimental class II the total pre-test and post-test scores for experimental class II were 1470 and 2485 while the average scores were 45.93 and 77.65. When comparing the average post-test value of experimental class I (83.43) with experimental class II (77.65), a difference in student learning outcomes was obtained of 5.78 where the learning outcomes of experimental class I with the Example Non Example model were higher than the learning outcomes of experimental class II with the Picture and Picture learning model. The results of hypothesis testing using the "t test" at a significance level of α = 0.05 and (dk) = 58 obtained t count (2.50> t-table (1.99) then Ho was rejected, Ha was accepted meaning there was a difference in student learning outcomes using the Example Non Example and Picture and picture learning models on the respiratory system material in class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Dolok Panribuan in the 2019/2020 academic year.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan peningkatkan minat kaum muda terhadap pertanian yang akhir akhir ini menjadi salah satu ancaman bagi perkembangan pertanian. Jika hal ini terus dibiarkan tanpa solusi akan menyebabkan menurunan pembangunan pertanian. Salah satu solusi yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan memberikan edukasi tentang Pembudidayaan tanaman pertanian dari mulai sedini mungkin dimulai dari para siswa Sekolah Dasar yang dikemas semenarik mungkin dengan pertanian vertikultur. Kegitan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Swasta RK Deli Murni Sibolangit. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengedukasi para siswa SMP adalah dengan pembuatan pertanian vertikultur menggunakan pot - pot yang memanjang ke atas dan dengan menggunakan rak yang disusun bertingkat. Dan diedukasikan tanaman yang ditanam adalah tanaman-tanaman sayuran. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan oleh dosen berkolaborasi dengan mahasiswa dan sekolah mitra. Pelaksanaan Pengabdian ini bersesuaian dengan beberapa mata kuliah yang tercantum dalam kurikulum dan diaplikasikan kedalam kegiatan pengabdian terhadap masyarakat. Dari hasil pengabdian yang dilaksanakan terlihat antusias siswa - siswi SMP Swasta RK Deli Murni sibolangit sangat tinggi
