Abstract

This article discusses the role of technology in classical and contemporary Islamic thought and its implications for human resource management (HRM). In classical Islamic thought, principles such as justice (adl), trust (amanah), and consultation (syura) serve as ethical foundations that guide the management of society and organizations in a fair and wise manner. This thought teaches that technology should be used for the welfare of the community and should not contradict Islamic moral values. Meanwhile, contemporary Islamic thought adapts these concepts to the development of modern technology, emphasizing the importance of innovation that brings social and economic benefits, as well as prioritizing justice and transparency in its implementation. In the context of HR management, the integration of classical and contemporary Islamic thought allows for the use of technology to enhance efficiency, accountability, and employee empowerment without compromising ethical principles. The use of tools such as artificial intelligence (AI) for recruitment and performance evaluation, as well as cloud-based management platforms, can help create a management system that is more transparent, efficient, and equitable. This article also discusses the challenges in implementing technology that aligns with Islamic values, such as personal data protection and reducing bias in technology-based systems. In conclusion, the integration of classical and contemporary Islamic thought in technology-based human resource management not only promotes organizational efficiency but also ensures that technology is used for the benefit of the community, in accordance with the principles of justice, trust, and consultation in Islam.

Abstract

This paper examines the adoption of Digital Murabahah in Mandailing Natal within the broader context of digital transformation in Islamic banking, emphasizing its potential to enhance financial accessibility while maintaining Sharia compliance. Although digital initiatives have rapidly advanced in major Islamic financial institutions, limited attention has been given to their development in regional and rural contexts, creating a significant research gap in understanding localized implementation challenges. Addressing this gap, the study investigates the key barriers and strategic solutions for developing Sharia-compliant digital financing at the regional level. This study contributes novelty by focusing on regional Islamic banking dynamics, an area often overlooked in existing research dominated by large-scale banking contexts. Using a qualitative approach, this research draws on secondary data from Islamic banking reports, regulatory documents, and recent academic studies, supported by comparative case analyses of Islamic banks implementing Digital Murabahah. The findings reveal that limited digital infrastructure, low customer literacy, and complex regulatory frameworks impede adoption, with larger Islamic banks advancing faster than regional ones. The study contributes to existing literature by providing a region-specific analysis of digital Islamic finance transformation and proposing a strategic framework that integrates fintech collaboration, customer education, and adaptive regulatory support. It concludes that a gradual transition through hybrid banking models—aligned with technological readiness and regulatory reform—is crucial for strengthening financial inclusion and ensuring the sustainable growth of Islamic banking in regional economies.

As with the additions contained in the debt transactions that occurred in Huraba I Village, Kec. Siabu Kab. The additional Mandailing Natal in the debt transaction is an addition that can be taken because the average loan is for business capital and with this addition it does not cause a downturn in economic life.

Abstract

Banking according to Law No. 10 of 1998 concerning amendments to Law No. 7 of 1992 concerning banking, is a business entity that collects funds from the public in the form of deposits and distributes them to the public in the form of credit and or other forms in order to improve the lives of many people. since 1992 Indonesia has adopted two banking systems, namely conventional and sharia banking systems. In Islam it is clearly stated that Allah SWT has forbidden usury. On this basis, it is not allowed to transact using Conventional Banks because it clearly contains usury. Some scholars have also forbidden to make transactions using Conventional Banks because it is clearly seen to contain usury. This research uses the type of field research (Field Research) which is carried out directly by researchers by going into the field to interview students and teachers who are in the Musthafawiyah Purba Baru Islamic boarding school. The problem discussed is the factor that students prefer to use Conventional Banks rather than Islamic Banks. Some of the factors that influence students to make transactions using Conventional Banks are: location, service, family, self-concept, and reference group factors. From the above factors, there are several factors that can be seen to cause an exhaustion for families to send their children's school fees. Thus it can be said that if an action can cause fatigue for someone then it is permissible to take other actions that do not cause fatigue. But it would be better if parents and students use Sharia Banks to conduct transactions to avoid usury.

The facts show that the market share for Sharia financial industry products is still relatively small when compared to conventional financial products. The development of Sharia banking products and services that are competitive and based on the needs of the Indonesian people is a causality (cause and effect) that cannot be separated from reality. This research uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method to collect, evaluate, and compile research results that are relevant to innovation in Sharia financial products and services. The results of this research show several developments, including increasing institutional capacity and the availability of Sharia financial industry products that are more competitive and efficient, with one program increasing the availability and diversity of Sharia financial products, both in Sharia banking institutions, Sharia capital markets, and the Sharia non-bank financial industry.
