Abstract

PT WIK FAR TIMUR BATAM is a German industry engaged in household appliances that produces Coffee Makers. In the manufacturing process, the Assy Head Minime line has a fairly low efficiency with a total Line Efficiency of 83.32%, the lowest station efficiency of 46.51% and an idle time of 44.8 seconds. This is because some stations are not comprehensive. The purpose of this research is to equalize station efficiency for each worker by dividing the average standard time of each worker by balancing the line with the Ranked Positional Weight method, determining the ideal number of operators for the Assy Head Minime Line and increasing production. line efficiency on the Assy Head Minime RPW (Ranked Positional) line. weight). the results of the Line Performance study from the previous 9 work stations after being repaired to 8 work stations by combining valve switch and needle plate stations with a station efficiency of 93.8% and an increase in the efficiency of the Assy Head Minime line from 83.32% to 93.41%, and the difference in efficiency between work stations is getting closer, it can be seen that the lowest efficiency is 46, 51% to 81, 27%. Regarding this, it is better than the previous efficiency, and the results of the calculation of the balance delay value also show shrinkage, because the previous inefficiency of 16.68% can be reduced or become more efficient so that the inefficiency level becomes 6.25%, and the existing idle time faces shrinkage. from 44.8 seconds changed to 14.92 seconds, and the fluency index value is 23.7 the current state is much better with a fluency index of 7.8

Abstract

Along with technological advances and increasingly fierce business competition, manufacturers are competing to produce quality products. The emergence of small and large industries, both private and state, will advance the nation alot. Only companies that are highly competitive can survive by prioritizing quality improvement, increasing productivity, increasing efficiency, and involving employees in solving company problems. Recognizing the instability of the rejection rate and based on historical data it still often exceeds predetermined standards, because of that it is important for customers to evaluate the quality of products produced by the company, so an analysis of product quality is needed in the company to find a solution on how to reduce the rejection rate and reduce waste. production process using the Six Sigma DMAIC method with a fishbone diagram approach. The company sets a target of 3.5% defects from the total of each production every month, but from the results obtained for each production there are still some that exceed 3.5%. the large number of defects produced in the assembly process, especially in the printer assembly section, as well as the efforts made by the company to prevent this from happening are still not optimal. which has been explained in the previous data, the maximum tolerance limit for defects is 3.5% every month of the total production. Therefore, created an assembly tool (jig) that will be used for the assembly process to decrease the reject percentage.

Abstract

One of the strategic operational choices that affects the long-term efficacy of the business's operations is layout. Finding the ideal balance between space expenses and material handling costs is the goal of warehouse planning. The class-based dedicated storage strategy is used in this study, which classifies products into three, four, or five categories depending on how frequently they are picked up. The suggested clothes layout adheres to the Class Based Storage approach, in which clothing is arranged according to popularity, similarity, size, and other factors.Fast moving products are stored on the first and second shelves, which are located in the front. The shelf has three levels, with the middle level being used for S and M sizes because they are the most popular and are therefore easier for staff to access. Because the bottom shelf is simpler to reach than the top shelf and can be picked up by employees without the use of tools, size L and XL have an average sales level there. Jumbo size products (XXL, XXXL, and XXXXL) are positioned on the third (top) shelf since they have the lowest sales rates.

Activities that cause hazards must be suspended until the risks may be reduced, according to the AS/NZS 4360:2004 standard semi-quantitative risk assessment guide. Priority 1 is the second degree of risk. Priority level 1 sources of danger include 10 different sources. Controlling it as quickly as feasible is the step that needs to be taken. There are four sources of risk that are categorized as considerable, the third risk level. The necessary course of action is to demand technical advancements. The third priority is the fourth danger level. At priority level 3, there are three sources of risk indicated. The actions that need to be conducted need to be closely watched and supervised. There are 11 sources of risk that are included in the fifth level of risk, which is tolerable.
