Abstract

This research aims to analyzing the validity, practicality and effectiveness of students' worksheets through cognitive conflict strategies to improve mathematical problem-solving abilities through learning cognitive conflict strategies assisted by Augmented Reality. The Ploomp model was used in this study. The subjects in this research are students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 4 Percut Sei Tuan. The research results showed that the student worksheet developed met the valid criteria based on an average score of 4.02, the practical student worksheet based on learning implementation IO =4.21 (high). The student worksheets developed have met the effective criteria in terms of classical completeness reaching 82.70%, student responses obtained above 80% for all students, namely 92%, increased problem- solving abilities seen from the average N-Gain value of trial of 0.30 increased to 0.60 in trial II, indicating that it was in the "medium" category. For the next implementation, it will be applied to several state junior high schools in Percut Sei Tuan District and analyze differences in mathematical problem-solving abilities seen from the school ranking, namely the accreditation of the state junior high school.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis kinerja kinerja antara metode Huffman Coding dan Elias Omega Coding dalam konteks kompresi file teks. Studi ini mencakup pengujian terhadap berbagai jenis file teks untuk kompresi, kecepatan proses, dan penggunaan rasio memori dari kedua metode. Tujuan Penelitian ini melakukan simulasi pada kompresi dan dekompresi teks dengan metode Huffman Coding dan Elias Omega Coding serta menunjukkan hasil perhitungan efektifitas kinerja mana yang lebih baik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa algoritma Huffman Code lebih baik dalam melakukan kompresi dan dekompresi terhadap file corpus dengan rata-rata rasio kompresi sebesar 1,625, rasio kompresi sebesar 0,607, space saving sebesar 39,3%, waktu kompresi sebesar 499,547 ms, dan waktu dekompresi sebesar 9.384,501 ms. Sedangkan, algoritma Elias Omega Code memiliki rata-rata rasio kompresi sebesar 0,917, rasio kompresi sebesar 1,099, space saving sebesar -9,9%, waktu kompresi sebesar 2.937,606 ms, dan waktu dekompresi sebesar 10.539,144 ms.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektivan media pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan saintifik berbantuan geogebra dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan kemandirian belajar siswa. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan. Model pengembangan penelitian ini adalah model ADDIE. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII salah satu SMP Swasta di Medan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan saintifik berbantuan geogebra mendapat rata-rata skor 4,79 pada kategori valid. Kepraktisan media pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan saintifik berbantuan geogebra dinilai dari rata-rata skor keterlakaanaan pembelajaran diperoleh sebesar 88,33% dengan kategori baik, dan respon positif siswa memperoleh rata-rata skor sebesar 88,38% dengan kategori sangat positif sehingga media yang dikembangkan dapat dikatakan praktis. Sedangkan keefektifan media pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan santifik berbantuan geogebra dinilai dari rata-rata skor ketuntasan secara klasikal siswa sebesar 90,63% dengan kategori sangat tinggi, ketercapaian tujuan pembelajaran diperoleh rata-rata skor sebesar 86,81%, dan respon siswa diperoleh rata-rata skor sebesar 88,33% sehingga media yang dikembangkan dapat dikatakan efektif. Skor peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa mendapat nilai N-gain sebesar 0,37 pada kategori sedang, dan skor peningkatan kemandirian belajar siswa mendapat nilai N-gain sebesar 0,35 pada kategori sedang, sehingga dapat dikatakan media yang dikembangkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan kemandirian belajar siswa

Abstract

This study aims to determine:  The effect of initial mathematical ability on students' mathematical communication ability;  The effect of initial mathematical ability on students' self-efficacy; The effect of cooperative learning model type numbered heads together and direct learning on students' mathematical communication ability; The effect of cooperative learning model type numbered heads together and direct learning on students' self-efficacy; The interaction between initial mathematical ability and learning model on mathematical communication ability; The interaction between initial mathematical ability and learning model on self-efficacy. This study is a quantitative study with a quasi-experiment. The sample of this study was 62 students of MAN 1 Medan class X, with a two-way ANOVA analysis. The results of the study showed that:  There is an influence of initial mathematical abilities on students' mathematical communication abilities; There is an influence of initial mathematical abilities on students' self-efficacy;There is an influence of the cooperative learning model type numbered heads together and direct learning on students' mathematical communication abilities; There is an influence of the cooperative learning model type numbered heads together and direct learning on students' self-efficacy; There is no interaction between initial mathematical abilities and learning models on mathematical communication abilities; There is no interaction between initial mathematical abilities and learning models on self-efficacy.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there were differences in mathematical communication skills and self-efficacy of students taught with the TAI type cooperative learning model and the TPS learning model assisted by digital books and to determine whether there was an interaction between initial mathematical abilities and learning models on mathematical communication skills and self-efficacy. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study conducted at SMKS Muhammadiyah 8 Medan. The results of the study showed that there were significant differences in students' mathematical communication skills between the group that followed learning with the TAI model and the group that followed learning with the TPS model. Students who learned with the TAI model showed higher mathematical communication skills compared to students taught with the TPS model. There was a significant difference in student self-efficacy between the TAI and TPS learning groups. Students in the TAI group had a higher level of self-efficacy than students in the TPS group. There was no significant interaction between initial mathematical abilities and learning models on students' mathematical communication skills and self-efficacy. This shows that the influence of learning models on mathematical communication skills and self-efficacy applies consistently at all levels of initial ability, whether high, medium, or low

Abstract

Depresi merupakan gangguan kesehatan mental yang dapat memengaruhi kualitas hidup mahasiswa semester akhir. Tekanan akademik, tuntutan keluarga, serta ketidakpastian masa depan menjadi faktor utama yang dapat memicu depresi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan sistem yang mampu membantu dalam mendeteksi tingkat depresi secara cepat dan akurat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun sistem pakar berbasis website dalam menentukan tingkat depresi mahasiswa semester akhir menggunakan metode Certainty Factor (CF). Metode ini digunakan untuk menghitung tingkat keyakinan terhadap kemungkinan depresi berdasarkan gejala yang dialami oleh mahasiswa. Sistem ini dikembangkan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dengan database MySQL, serta diuji menggunakan metode black box testing, validasi pakar, dan user acceptance test (UAT). Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem yang dikembangkan memiliki tingkat akurasi sebesar 98%, sehingga dapat diandalkan dalam membantu deteksi dini tingkat depresi mahasiswa. Dengan adanya sistem ini, mahasiswa dapat lebih mudah mengidentifikasi kondisi psikologis mereka sehingga dapat segera mengambil langkah yang tepat untuk mengatasinya.

Abstract

Fenomena gizi buruk di Indonesia dipengaruhi oleh kualitas kesehatan sumber daya manusia (SDM) yang rendah, yang umumnya disebabkan oleh konsumsi pangan yang tidak seimbang. Kondisi ini terlihat pada anak-anak yang mengalami gangguan fisik dan psikis akibat kurangnya asupan gizi yang dibutuhkan. Dalam penelitian ini, dilakukan perbandingan antara dua algoritma, yaitu Naive Bayes dan Support Vector Machine (SVM), untuk mengklasifikasikan penderita stunting di Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Penelitian menggunakan dataset dari Dinas Kesehatan Deli Serdang, dengan jumlah data sebanyak 422 sampel. Data tersebut dibagi menjadi beberapa split, yaitu 60:40, 70:30, 80:20, dan 90:10, untuk melihat performa masing-masing algoritma pada proporsi pembagian data yang berbeda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa akurasi klasifikasi menggunakan Support Vector Machine (SVM) lebih tinggi daripada dengan hasil Naive Bayes. Dari pengujian variansi, didapati bahwa Support Vector Machine (SVM) memiliki variansi sebesar 2,87%, sementara Naive Bayes menunjukkan variansi sebesar 28,35%. Hal ini menandakan bahwa Support Vector Machine (SVM) lebih konsisten kinerjanya di berbagai pembagian dataset. Dengan kata lain, Support Vector Machine (SVM) tidak hanya lebih akurat tetapi juga lebih stabil dalam performanya dibandingkan dengan Naive Bayes, menegaskan keunggulannya sebagai metode yang lebih andal untuk kasus klasifikasi stunting ini.

Abstract

Stres merupakan bagian dari psikologis yang dapat dialami oleh setiap individu. Dalam berbagai situasi yang mengancam, reaksi psikologis dan fisiologis dapat muncul sebagai reaksi terhadap stres. Berdasarkan dari data hasil riset kesehatan dasar (Riskesdas) tahun 2018, menunjukkan bahwa pravalensi penduduk indonesia pada umur >15 tahun yang mengalami gangguan mental emosional atau stres, sebanyak 706.688 orang (9,8%). Stres yang terjadi di dunia pendidikan yang dialami remaja dapat disebut sebagai stres akademik. Pentingnya mengetahui tingkat stres agar dapat memberikan penanganan yang tepat sesuai dengan tingkat stres yang dialami, sehingga dapat mencegah hal-hal yang tidak diinginkan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengimplementasikan algoritma naïve bayes untuk melakukan klasifikasi tingkat stres siswa SMA, sehingga dapat mengetahui tingkatan stres yang dialami oleh siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan melakukan preprocessing data dengan menggunakan label encoder, pembagian data menjadi data training dan data testing dengan rasio 80:20. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat akurasi dari implementasi algoritma naïve bayes sebesar 90%.

Abstract

Public opinion on PON 2024 (National Sports Week in Indonesia) became a trending topic on X (formerly Twitter), reflecting both positive and negative sentiments. Understanding these sentiments is important for evaluating the event and preparing for the upcoming. However, baseline SVM algorithms using standard kernel functions are not optimized for text similarity and limit performance in sentiment analysis. This research proposes cosine similarity as a substitution for the kernel function on SVM, enhancing the sentiment analyzer's performance on public opinions about PON 2024. The approach leverages cosine similarity's strength in handling text-based data. The key contribution of this research is the integration of cosine similarity into the SVM algorithm as a replacement for kernel functions, improving performance in sentiment analysis. Additionally, this study offers a comprehensive comparison with baseline SVM and provides actionable insights for upcoming PON. The study collected 1,011 tweets related to PON 2024 using web scraping and the Twitter API, followed by labeling sentiments as positive, neutral, or negative. Several preprocessing techniques also were applied to prepare the data. Two models were developed: baseline SVM and another using SVM integrated with cosine similarity, both evaluated through accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. The baseline SVM achieved 85.1% accuracy, 85% precision, 83% recall, and 83.3% F1-score, struggling particularly with negative sentiment. Opposite, by integrating cosine similarity on SVM, the performance improved to 88.73% accuracy, 88.3% precision, 89.3% recall, and 88.3% F1-score—a boost of 3.3-6.3%. Additionally, the public opinion revealed that positive sentiments mostly focused on athlete achievements and medal awards, while negative sentiments highlighted issues like referee performance and specific sports (e.g., football). This approach can serve as a valuable tool for event organizers to identify public concerns and maintain positive aspects for the upcoming PON 2028.

Abstract

The important role of teachers in education underlies the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology to issue Program Guru Penggerak in the 5th episode of Merdeka Belajar. Mathematics as a subject taught to students from the most secondary level to higher education requires reliable and professional teachers or educators. Philosophy or Ideology of mathematics awakens teachers to become more professional. Teachers who understand the origin and methods of developing Educational Ideology, specifically mathematics education, will be able to prepare themselves to provide better learning in the classroom. Seeing how the implementation of the ideology of Mathematics Education in Program Guru Penggerak, more specifically on the educational materials and exercises received when participating in mobilizing teacher education, epistemologically and ethically further strengthens the views of every teacher, especially mathematics teachers, are expected to follow Program Guru Penggerak to become more professional in their fields. The ideology of Pancasila is in line with the ideology of Mathematics Education on Progressive Educator and Public Educator.
