Abstract

This research is motivated by problems that researchers found in a PAUD. The problem at the school was the discovery of children who were addicted to cellphones so that the language skills became late. The purpose of this study is to prove whether electronic media influences children's language development. This research is a descriptive study that uses a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were two children who were equally addicted to their cellphones. The study was conducted in several stages. The first stage is distributing questionnaires to all parents of children in the school. Furthermore, the data from the questionnaire was processed, after being processed it was obtained research subjects. Then the subject is observed and after that an interview is given to parents. From the results of interviews and observations that have been done, it is found that electronic media influences early language development in children.

Abstract

One of the disruptions in fluency is the lack of smoothness in speech that does not correspond to the speaker's age, and this lack of smoothness affects the rhythm and average number of words produced when speaking. This research aims to identify disruptions in fluency rhythm experienced by a 27-year-old client with stuttering. The research method employed is a case study (qualitative descriptive). The research implementation in this case begins with observation, client interviews, and testing, including reading, storytelling, and two-way communication tests. The results of this study conclude that the client's diagnosis is beginning stuttering accompanied by secondary stuttering behaviors such as eye movements, movements downward, hand clenching, and toe tapping. The client also exhibits a feeling of fear and moderate to severe anxiety, with the ICD-10 code for stuttering being F98.5. Stuttering syndromes include core behaviors such as stoppages, repetitions, and prolongations. The total stuttering index for the client during reading is 8.9%, during storytelling is 15.06%, and during two-way communication is 10.28%. Based on the data assessment, the author suggests reducing stuttering by strengthening the client's modalities, such as fostering a strong desire to learn, parental support for the client's recovery, and motivation from the client to reduce stuttering.

Abstract

Penurunan fisiologis pada lansia khususnya pada organ bicara biasa mengakibatkan lansia mengalami kesulitan berbicara karena pita suara dan otot kotak suara (laring) melemah, kesulitan membuat kata terdengar dengan benar. Gangguan ini bisa disebabkan oleh kelemahan otot, stroke, cedera otak, atau demensia. Gangguan bicara yang umum meliputi: Afasia, Apraksia, Disartria Gangguan komunikasi social, Gangguan menelan (disfagia) dan Gangguan bahasa serta Gangguan komunikasi kognitif. (Candra, 2019). Menurut WHO, 2023 Jumlah lansia yang mengalami ganguan suara 19,2 %. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat adanya pengaruh perawatan pita suara oleh lansia di rumah dengan gangguan komunikasi lansia. Metode pada penelitian ini adalah melakukan intervensi pada sekelompok lansia yaitu melakukan health education tentang perawatan pita suara lansia di rumah di kelurahan Batuang Taba Kecamatan Lubuk Begalung kota Padang dengan populasi 89 orang dan sampel 10 orang yang dilakukan pada tanggal 16 - 18 Desember 2024. Hasil dari penelitian setelah dilakukan uji pairet sampel t-test yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini, menunjukan nilai p value = ( p<0,05) maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh pemberian healt education tentang perawatan pita suara di kelurahan Batuang Taba Kecamatan lubuk Begalung Kota Padang.Setelah dilakukan penelitian diharapkan lansia memahai dan mau melaksanakan perawatan pita suaranya sehar- hari di rumah.

Abstract

Kemampuan bahasa sangat dibutuhkan dalam berkomunikasi bagi seorang individu. Bahasa terbagi atas dua yaitu bahasa reseptif dan bahasa ekspresif. Masalah bahasa paling banyak dijumpai pada anak berkebutuhan khusus salah satunya autis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui masalah bahasa reseptif dan ekspresif pada anak autis. Metode pengumpulan data yang pada penelitian ini dengan menggunakan penelitian case study. Data yang didapatkan dari hasil asesmen, observasi dan wawancara pada autis. Asesmen dilakukan dengan memberikan tes ROWPVT (Receptive One Word Picture Vocabulary  Test) dan tes EOWPVT (Expressive One Word Picture Vocabulary. Hasil yang didapatkan terdapat masalah bahasa reseptif dan ekspresif pada anak autis. Pada bahasa reseptif kemampuan bahasanya setara anak usia 2 tahun 2 bulan, dan bahasa ekspresif kemampuan bahasanya setara usia 1 tahun 8 bulan. Sedangkan, saat ini usia kronologisnya yaitu 4 tahun dimana kemampuan bahasanya di bawah usia kronologisnya.
