Abstract

Selama masa pandemi, banyak mahasiswa yang menunjukkan adanya penurunan motivasi dalam melaksanakan aktivitas perkuliahan, kelelahan secara fisik dan mental, stress yang berkepanjangan hingga kejenuhan kronis (academic burnout).  Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui adakah hubungan yang signifikan negatif antara self-efficacy dengan academic burnout pada Mahasiswa Program Studi Keperawatan Fakultas Kedokteran dan Ilmu Kesehatan Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana di masa pandemi. Variabel dalam penelitian ini diukur dengan menggunakan dua skala yaitu skala Maslach Burnout inventory - Student survey dan General self-efficacy. Sampel pada penelitian ini ditentukan dengan menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel yang mengacu pada teknik “quota sampling”, yaitu teknik sampling dengan menentukan sampel dari populasi yang mempunyai ciri tertentu sampai jumlah yang diinginkan dari populasi tersebut. Partisipan sampel ditentukan dengan menggunakan tabel Isaac & Micheal dengan taraf kesalahan 5% dengan jumlah 186 mahasiswa keperawatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis korelasi sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui r= -0.144 maka terdapat hubungan negatif antara self-efficacy dan academic burnout dan hubungan tersebut dikatakan signifikan karena nilai Sig 0,025 (p<0,05), hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi self-efficacy yang dimiliki oleh mahasiswa keperawatan maka semakin rendah academic burnout dan sebaliknya semakin rendah self-efficacy maka semakin tinggi academic burnout.

Abstract

Mahasiswa merupakan individu yang berada pada masa transisi dari remaja menuju dewasa akan berupaya untuk mengeksplorasi diri salah satunya dengan mencoba berbagai produk fashion. Dalam upaya mengeksplorasi gaya hidup, mahasiswa akan mencoba beberapa hal, salah satunya eksplorasi tentang fashion. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi UKSW sebanyak 260 partisipan. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel non-probability sampling dengan metode accidental sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan skala impulsive buying dikembangkan oleh Verplanken dan Herabadi (2001) dan skala Big Five Inventory dikembangkan oleh Oliver P. John dkk (1991).  Hasil yang didapat dari uji regresi linear sederhana yang dilakukan diperoleh bahwa nilai sig trait extraversion (0,00), nilai sig trait agreeableness (0,126), nilai sig trait conscientiousness (0,003), nilai sig trait neuroticism (0,000), nilai sig trait openness to experience (0,028). Kesimpulan yang diperoleh adalah trait extraversion, trait conscientiousness, trait neuroticism, dan trait openness to experience memiliki pengaruh terhadap perilaku impulsive buying produk fashion, sedangkan trait agreeableness tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap perilaku impulsive buying produk fashion. Mahasiswa hendaknya membuat perencanaan dan mempertimbangkan terlebih dahulu seperti urgensi mengenai barang yang akan dibeli. Hal ini untuk menghindari terjadinya pembelian tanpa perencanaan (impulsive buying).

Abstract

This research aims to identify if there is a relationship between assertiveness and adjustment in second-year students at tertiary institutions. There are 264 SWCU Psychology Faculty second-year students as the research participants (average age = 19.23 years, SD = 0.85 years, 71.97% female). This research uses two measurement instruments, namely the Assertiveness Formative Questionnaire and the Students' Adjustment to College Questionnaire. The correlation test results show that there is a significant positive relationship between assertiveness and academic adjustment (r = 0.381, sig. = 0.000), social (rs = 0.438, sig. = 0.000), personal-emotional (r = 0.207, sig. = 0.001) and institutional attachment (rs = 0.249, sig. = 0.000). It means that a higher level of assertiveness possessed by the students reflects higher levels of academic, social, and personal-emotional adjustments, and institutional attachment. These findings can be a reference for other institutions to provide specific programs to increase the students’ assertiveness to assist them in the adjustment process

Abstract

Layoffs have many impacts, one of which is the loss of income for the head of the family and has other negative impacts, such as a shaken economy that can disrupt the mental health of some families. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between intolerance of uncertainty and anxiety in workers during the Covid-19 pandemic in the age range of 18-40 years. The research method that will be used is a correlational quantitative research method, the sampling technique used is purposive sampling, and the distribution of the IUS-12 and STAI questionnaires. The results of this study, for workers who were laid off between March 2020-March 2022, there was a significant positive correlation (r = 0.376; Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.037 (p <0.05)) between intolerance of uncertainty and anxiety which means the higher the intolerance of uncertainty, the higher the anxiety, and vice versa. The level of correlation between the two variables is in the sufficient category (r = 0.376). Intolerance of uncertainty is a factor that causes anxiety that arises in individuals affected by layoffs. For further research, it can expand its social network so that it can find the appropriate number of participants and can become representative results and save time.Keywords: Intolerance of uncertainty, anxiety, layoffs PHK memberikan banyak dampak, salah satunya adalah hilangnya pendapatan bagi kepala keluarga serta menimbulkan dampak negative lainnya, seperti ekonomi yang terguncang dapat mengganggu kesehatan mental dari sebagian keluarga. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hubungan antara intoleransi ketidakpastian dengan kecemasan pada para pekerja selama pandemi Covid-19 dalam rentang usia 18-40 tahun. Metode penelitian yang akan digunakan adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif korelasional, teknik sampling yang digunakan purposive sampling, serta penyebaran kuesioner IUS-12 dan STAI. Hasil penelitian ini, para pekerja yang terkena PHK antara Maret 2020-Maret 2022, terdapat korelasi positif yang signifikan (r = 0,376; Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,037 (p<0,05)) antara intoleransi ketidakpastian dengan kecemasan yang secara yang berarti semakin tinggi intoleransi ketidakpastian maka semakin tinggi juga kecemasan, begitu pula sebaliknya. Tingkat korelasi antar dua variabel tersebut adalah kategori cukup (r = 0,376). Intoleransi ketidakpastian menjadi faktor yang menimbulkan kecemasan yang muncul pada individu yang terkena PHK. Untuk penelitian selanjutnya, dapat memperluas jaringan sosialnya agar bisa menemukan jumlah partisipan yang sesuai serta dapat menjadi hasil yang representatif dan menghemat waktu.Kata Kunci: Intoleransi ketidakpastian, kecemasan, PHK

Abstract

In the emerging adulthood period, individuals will face various developmental demands and more complex problems that make them vulnerable to entering a crisis stage which is called a quarter-life crisis. Takes a number of things that can help individuals to handle this crisis, one of which is emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence is considered important to help individuals overcome the quarter-life crisis and be able to make the right decisions for their future. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to assess the effect of emotional intelligence on quarter-life crises in generation Z aged 22-25 years. The method used is quantitative with a simple regression statistical analysis process. There were 310 participants of Generation Z aged 22-25 years old in this research using an incidental sampling technique. The instrument in this study used The Developmental Crisis Questionnaire (α = 0.846) and The Emotional Intelligence Scale (α = 0.908). The results of this study show there is a significant influence between emotional intelligence on quarter-life crises. Emotional intelligence makes an effective contribution of 42.8% against quarter-life crises. The implication of this research is that generation Z aged 22-25 years old can improve their emotional intelligence to help them fulfill their developmental tasks and not get caught up in a quarter-life crisis.

Abstract

Penggunaan media sosial pada dewasa awal memungkinkan mereka untuk dapat melakukan social comparison dengan melihat profil yang diidealkan seperti gambar, ataupun pembaruan status orang lain. Ketika perbandingan sosial dilakukan secara negatif maka dapat berpengaruh terhadap penurunan self esteem. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara social comparison dengan self esteem dewasa awal yang mengakses media sosial di Kota Kupang. Metode yang digunakan yaitu penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik insidental sampling. Partisipan penelitian adalah 208 dewasa awal berusia 18-25 tahun pengguna media sosial di Kota Kupang. Alat ukur yang digunakan yaitu Iowa-Netherlands Comparison Orientation Scale (INCOM) dan Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) yang diterjemahkan oleh Maroqi (2018). Hasil uji korelasi pearson Product Momen diperoleh nilai r = -0,332 dan P = 0,000 (p<0,05) yang menunjukan adanya hubungan negatif signifikan antara social comparison dengan self esteem, hal ini berarti semakin tinggi social comparison maka akan semakin rendah self esteem yang dimiliki. Maka dari itu dewasa awal diharapkan untuk memakai media sosial secara bijak, tidak cenderung membandingkan diri secara negatif melainkan bisa tetap memandang diri secara positif.

Abstract

Divorce or termination of the relationship between husband and wife is one of the conflicts that can occur in the family and impact children. Adolescents with divorced parents can experience various problems, such as loneliness and anxiety, so self-compassion and resilience are needed to be able to rise. This study aims to see the relationship between self-compassion and resilience in late adolescents with divorced parents. This research method is quantitative, using Spearman's rho test design with linearity. The participants of this study were 200 late adolescents with divorced parents, and the sampling technique used was snowball sampling. The research scale used is the Self Compassion Scale (SCS) and the Resilience Scale (RS). This study found that there was a significant positive relationship between self-compassion and resilience in late adolescents with divorced parents (r = 0.250 with a sig. value of 0.000). Thus, the results obtained show that self-compassion has a relationship with resilience. Therefore, it is hoped that late adolescents with divorced people can have an increase in self-compassion and resilience within themselves.

Abstract

Impulse buying is irrational buying behavior because it is less able to make careful consideration before buying, which is supported by a strong desire from within without thinking about its use. Impulse buying is influenced by several factors, one of which is selfregulation. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between selfregulation and the impulsive buying of young K-pop fans in purchasing K-pop merchandise. The participants in this study were 204 young K-pop fans aged 18-21 years. The sampling technique used is incidental sampling technique. The scales used in this study are the SelfRegulation Questionnaire (SRQ) and Impulsive Buying Tendency (IBT scale), and the questionnaires are distributed online. The results of research using the Pearson Product Moment Technique showed that there was a weak correlation with a negative relationship between self-regulation and impulsive buying, with a value of r = -0.352 with a significance value of 0.000 (p <0.05), which means that the more individuals have higher self-regulation higher, the lower the impulse buying, or vice versa. So it can be concluded that to have low impulsive buying behavior, young K-pop fans need to have high self-regulation.

Abstract

The developmental crisis in early adulthood, often referred to as the Quarter-Life Crisis, has garnered significant attention in recent years. Although widely discussed in mass media and popular writings, there is a lack of a well-established psychological scale to measure this crisis in Indonesia. This study aims to examine the psychometric properties of the Indonesian adaptation of the Developmental Crisis Questionnaire (DCQ-12) developed by Petrov et al. (2022) for assessing early adulthood developmental crises. The DCQ-12 instrument consists of twelve statements divided into three factors: Disconnection and Distress, Lack of Clarity and Control, and Transition and Turning Point. Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) are used in the test. This research involves 300 Indonesian early adult participants (mean age = 31.81 years, SD = 6.72, 90% female) for EFA testing and 248 participants (mean age = 25.2 years, SD = 5.32, 78.2% female) for CFA testing. The results indicate that the three-factor structure of the ten items of the Indonesian version of the DCQ has psychometric properties classified as "acceptable fit," making it suitable for research on developmental crises in early adult individuals. Future research should explore the psychometric properties of this instrument in other population groups, such as middle-aged and older adults, and consider implications for interventions or support programs

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara harga diri (self esteem) dengan perilaku agresif pada siswa SMK “X” di Salatiga. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan 2 skala yaitu skala The Aggression Questionnaire untuk mengukur perilaku agresif dan skala Self Competence Self Liking (SCSL) yang diadaptasi dari aspek harga diri. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 79 siswa laki-laki dan 120 siswa perempuan SMK “X” di Salatiga. Teknik analisis data menggunakan metode korelasi Product Moment dari Karl Pearson. Hasil analisis korelasi pada penelitian ini sebesar (r) -0,539 dan nilai p sebesar 0,000. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terdapat hubungan negatif antara harga diri dengan perilaku agresif pada siswa SMK “X” di Salatiga. Semakin tinggi harga diri, maka semakin rendah perilaku agresif. Sebaliknya, semakin rendah harga diri semakin tinggi perilaku agresif yang dilakukan. Kesimpulannya bahwa harga diri sangat berdampak pada perilaku agresif remaja. Kata kunci: perilaku agresif, harga diri, remaja
