This study examines the implementation of Character Building Training (PPK) and the content delivered. This qualitative study involved 60 students, and eight lecturers selected using purposive sampling and snowball sampling techniques, with data collection considered sufficient if it has reached saturation point. Data was collected through observation and in-depth interviews from June to September 2022. Data analysis was carried out manually using the Discovering Cultural Themes model, including data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification. The study results indicate that PPK is implemented through a PPK campaign cycle, capacity building, and institutionalization with an approach including mentoring, learning, guidance, and support. The content includes attitudes and values, skills, knowledge, and integrative moderate insights, strengthening tolerant, open, critical, caring, and creative behavior, respecting differences, and behaving politely. Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of development in children's speaking skills, as observed in classroom learning processes. One contributing factor is the limited use of interactive learning media and tools that can stimulate children's speaking abilities. Therefore, finger puppet media based on character cards was developed using the ADDIE model, aimed at improving the speaking abilities of children in Class B at Negeri Pembina Larompong Kindergarten. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and validation by experts and analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods. Based on the research results, the developed media received a score of 88% from material experts and 87.14% from media experts, which falls into the "very valid" category. The use of this media is expected to assist teachers in effectively and enjoyably stimulating children's speaking abilities as an interactive learning tool.

Abstract

The difficulty some children face in recognizing numbers and choosing colors is experienced by several children at RA Bahrul Ulum Luwu Utara. This study aims to understand the description and factors causing children’s difficulties in identifying number symbols and selecting colors. The method used is qualitative with a case study approach through observation, and data collection techniques including observation and interviews. The research results show that the difficulties children face in identifying number symbols and choosing colors include difficulty understanding the shape of numbers, difficulty in ordering numbers, and difficulty in associating images with numbers. Meanwhile, the difficulties in choosing colors are confusion when asked about colors, difficulty associating colors with objects, and dependence on the teacher. The factors causing children's difficulties in identifying number symbols and colors are lack of parental attention, lack of focus and interest, dependency behavior, the negative influence of a strict teaching approach, the habit of playing with phones, and children attending school infrequently. Therefore, this study suggests that early learning for children to introduce numbers can start with lines (|) that can form numbers 1-10. For color recognition, an initial step that can be used is conducting outdoor activities by taking the children on a tour outside while observing the colors of nature, such as the colors of leaves, flowers, the sky, or surrounding objects.

Abstract

The low expressive language skills in students are characterized by difficulty constructing sentences, expressing ideas and feelings, and interacting verbally. Some students are only able to give short answers and are even silent when asked. This research aims to improve the expressive language skills of children aged 4-5 years through the spinning wheel media at TKIT Mutiara Islam Palopo City using the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method with the Kurt Lewin model, involving two cycles with four meetings in each cycle. The research subjects were 13 children from group A. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and then analyzed using quantitative data in the form of student assessment scores for each cycle and qualitative data from observations in the learning process.  The research results showed a significant improvement. At pre-cycle, most children were in the "Not Yet Appearing" (NYA) and "Starting to Appear" (SA) categories. After cycle II, there was an increase in the "Already Appeared" (AA) and "Very Well Developing" (VWD) categories, respectively by 46% and 54%. The application of spinning wheel media has proven to be effective in improving children's expressive language skills through interactive and fun activities.

Each cycle includes the planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were students of Libukang Permai Kindergarten in the 2024/2025 academic year totaling 12 children, namely 5 boys and 7 girls. The actions implemented, namely the letter board media to introduce letters to children, were obtained from the results of observations, interviews and documentation analyzed using quantitative and qualitative descriptive. This research aims to determine the effect of Broken Home on children's resilience, the reasons for the emergence of resilience in children aged 4-6 years, and the variables that influence the resilience of children who grow up in Broken Home conditions. The researcher used qualitative research methods to conduct this investigation. Structured interviews, observation sheets, and documentation were used as data collection methods. The triangulation method is used in the data analysis approach, namely: (1) theoretical triangulation, namely comparing data with previous hypotheses (2) triangulation of actual data sources, namely testing the truth using historical data sources from interviews. documentation and observation (3) methodological triangulation using surveys and interviews to collect data on certain topics. The results of the research show that the resilience that occurs in the five children aged 4-6 years can be seen through the six different aspects of children's resilience abilities, namely (1) emotional regulation, (2) impulse control, (3) optimism, (4) empathy , (5) reaching out, and (6) self-efficacy.
