Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan dengan tujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan anak-anak tentang penggunaan komputer dan pengenalan terhadap Microsot office yaitu Microsoft word di Kampung Enggros, Distrik Abepura, Kota Jayapura. Permasalahan yang terjadi yaitu anak-anak SD sampai dengan SMP belum semua mengenal tools yang ada di Microsoft word. Oleh sebab itu perlu untuk mengenalkan perangkat tersebut kepada mereka. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian ini melalui tiga tahapan yaitu pertama pengenalan alat, kedua praktek dan ketiga sesi tanya jawab. Kegiatan pengabdian ini diberikan kepada anak sekolah pada jenjang pendidikan SD sampai dengan SMP yang melibatkan Ecodefender, Lantamal X, Dosen FMIPA Uncen, Mahasiswa/i dari Fakultas Teknik Jurusan Planologi serta Mahasiwa Ilmu Perikanan (IKP) dan SI (Sistem Informasi). Kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh Dosen FMIPA Uncen yaitu perihal pengajaran dan pendampingan tentang Microsfot Word kepada siswa/siswi SMP dan diadakan sebanyak dua kali dari bulan Maret sampai dengan April Tahun 2023.

Abstract

Kampung Tablasupa, yang berada di Kabupaten Jayapura, merupakan salah satu kampung yang mengalami perkembangan cukup signifikan dibandingkan dengan kampung-kampung lain di sekitarnya. Di kampung ini terdapat Industri Rumah Tangga Pangan (IRTP) yang dijalankan oleh kelompok ibu-ibu dalam usaha diversifikasi produk ikan, seperti bakso ikan. Meskipun menggunakan sarana dan prasarana yang sederhana, praktik produksi dalam kelompok IRTP Kampung Tablasupa dapat berdampak pada kesehatan dan lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan kondisi higiene dan sanitasi dalam pengolahan bakso ikan di industri rumahan (IRT) di Kampung Tablasupa, Distrik Depapre, Kabupaten Jayapura, Papua. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan menggunakan angket kepada ibu-ibu pelaku usaha serta observasi langsung terhadap proses pembuatan bakso ikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat higiene dan sanitasi dalam pengolahan bakso ikan di industri rumah tangga di Desa Tablasupa masih rendah. Fasilitas dan peralatan pemrosesan tidak terawat dengan baik, dan praktik kebersihan pribadi para pekerja masih kurang memadai. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya yang lebih besar untuk meningkatkan praktik kebersihan dan sanitasi dalam pengolahan bakso ikan guna memastikan keamanan pangan dan melindungi kesehatan masyarakat.

Abstract

The Wali Nibhi Reading House Group, also known as the Yoboi Reading House, was established in November 2019 in Yoboi Village, Sentani, Papua, with a focus on literacy improvement and women's empowerment. The group is predominantly composed of women, making it well-suited to develop skills in producing snakehead fish chips. However, they still face challenges in terms of skills and facilities. The existing skills are not yet sufficient to process fish into value-added products. The community's high dependence on the fisheries sector makes the local economy vulnerable to fluctuations in catch and environmental impacts. Training on processing snakehead fish into low-calorie chips through baking could address these issues. The method used is community-based training. Training in the production of fish stick chips and atom crackers has provided the community with new knowledge and skills. This program is crucial for local economic empowerment, teaching processing techniques and entrepreneurial skills that can increase income and well-being. The training utilizes local natural resources and strengthens the community's self-reliance and competitiveness in a broader market.

Abstract

The red devil fish (Amphilophus spp.) is a carnivorous fish from Nicaragua that is considered a pest due to its predatory nature toward smaller fish. Although it does not have high economic value, this fish reproduces rapidly and threatens the endemic fish population in Lake Sentani, Papua. The endemic fish population has declined due to the increasing population of red devil fish that live in colonies in the littoral zone. Despite its high amino acid content, this fish is less favored due to the abundance of bones. One way to increase its consumption is by processing it into crackers. The method used involves training the community. The goal of this activity is to increase the consumption of red devil fish among the community. The results and achievements of this activity show that the women of Yoboi village successfully utilized the previously underutilized red devil fish by processing it into crackers. This has had a positive impact on maximizing local potential and creating new business opportunities, thereby improving economic welfare. This activity has also enhanced food processing skills within the community.

Abstract

Background : Youtefa Bay, located in Jayapura City, Papua, is renowned for its natural beauty and is a conservation area with a mangrove forest ecosystem. The mangroves in Youtefa Bay, such as Rhizophora sp., play a crucial role in maintaining environmental balance and supporting the livelihoods of the surrounding communities. However, the biochemical complexity of these mangrove extracts poses a unique challenge in understanding their health effects. The objective of this research is to explore and elucidate the bioactive complexity of mangrove extracts, particularly Rhizophora sp. Methods: . The analytical method employed in this study is High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). The results of this research show that Rhizophora sp. Results: Mangroves in Youtefa Bay, Jayapura City, contain various bioactive compounds such as alkaloids, flavonoids, terpenoids, saponins, and tannins, which are beneficial to health. Alkaloids aid in stimulating the nervous system, regulating blood pressure, and combating microbial infections. Flavonoids function as antibacterial and antioxidant agents, while terpenoids possess anti-inflammatory properties. Saponins are effective for the treatment of leukemia, asthma, rheumatism, and also exhibit anti-inflammatory effects. Tannins serve as anti-diarrheal, antioxidant, antibacterial, and astringent agents. Conclusion: Mangrove Rhizophora sp. has various active compounds which are very beneficial for health, so it is necessary to preserve the mangrove ecosystem in Youtefa Bay, Jayapura City.

Abstract

Muara Tami district in Jayapura has significant potential for vaname shrimp farming. However, environmental problems and pathogens are often the main obstacles that reduce the productivity of this culture. One of the innovative solutions being developed to overcome these problems is the application of nanoparticle innovation in aquaculture, especially silver nanoparticles (AgNPs). This study aims to assess the effectiveness of using silver nanoparticles obtained from microalgae Chlorella pyrenoidosa and Dunaliella salina as an alternative that can support the development of vaname shrimp farming. The research method used a qualitative approach, with data collected through direct observation, involving the manufacture of silver nanoparticles from microalgae C. pyrenoidosa and D. salina, which were then used as feed for vaname shrimp. After observation, the data were processed and supported by related literature. The results showed that the application of silver nanoparticles from microalgae was effective on the growth and survival rate of cultured vaname shrimp in Muara Tami District. Thus, these findings indicate that microalgae have great potential as natural agents that can help reduce toxicity in aquaculture environments, creating healthier and more sustainable shrimp farming conditions.

Abstract

Tingginya harga pakan ikan komersial menjadi tantangan bagi pembudidaya ikan sehingga diperlukan solusi alternatif untuk meningkatkan efisiensi produksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan prototipe mesin pencetak pakan ikan guna mendukung ketahanan pangan perikanan. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan penelitian dan pengembangan dengan teknik rekayasa desain untuk menciptakan prototipe yang efisien dan mudah digunakan. Pengembangan mesin melalui tiga tahapan utama, yaitu eksplorasi kebutuhan pengguna, pemodelan desain menggunakan perangkat lunak teknik, serta evaluasi teknis awal melalui simulasi digital. Mesin ini dirancang untuk mengolah berbagai bahan baku alternatif seperti limbah ikan, eceng gondok, dan residu agroindustri menjadi pakan ikan berbentuk pelet. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prototipe yang dikembangkan memiliki spesifikasi teknis yang memastikan efisiensi produksi, stabilitas struktural, kemudahan pengoperasian, dan perawatan. Simulasi teknis mengonfirmasi bahwa desain mesin mampu menghasilkan pelet dengan ukuran seragam dan tingkat kepadatan optimal. Pengembangan mesin pencetak pakan ikan ini diharapkan dapat membantu pembudidaya ikan mengurangi ketergantungan pada pakan komersial serta meningkatkan efisiensi produksi.

Abstract

The gastropod community is an important component in the food chain in seagrass beds, where the gastropods are the detritus feeder. Research on the diversity of gastropods in seagrass habitat in the waters of Tayando Yamtel Village, Tam City, Tual District, was conducted in March-May 2018, using the quadrant linear transect method. The results of measurements of environmental parameters in Tayando Yamtel waters are: an average pH of 8.55; DO 6.59 µg / l; salinity 32.36 ‰; temperature of 29 ° C; TDS 24.7 mg / l; current velocity (0.42 m / sec) is classified as low current; and a depth of 1.5 m. Gastropod research results obtained 862 individuals consisting of 15 families and 30 species of gastropods, while for seagrass obtained 3 species namely Cymodocea rotundata, Cymodocea serrulata and Thalassia hemprichii. The highest value of composition and gastropod density at Station I was dominated by Psedeovertagus aluco species at 62.73% and 3.708 (ind / m2), while at Station II were 28.01% and 0.93 (ind / m2) and Station III were 38.46% and 0.15 (ind / m2) are dominated by Strombus gibberulus species. Based on the gastropod ecological index value, the index value of species diversity and harmony is included in the medium category and the index value of dominance is in the low category. Abstract

The gastropod community is an important component in the food chain in seagrass beds, where gastropods are basic detritus feeders. Research on gastropod associations in seagrass habitats in the waters of Tayando Yamtel Village, Tam District, Tual City, was carried out in March-May 2018, using the quadrant linear transect method. Based on the results of the research on gastropod association patterns (inter-species) in the waters of Tayando Yamtel Village, the two species formed 435 pairs, namely 158 species pairs that were positively associated, 91 species pairs that were negatively associated and 186 pairs of species that were not associated. With high and very high association index values, reaching 56.091% and low and very low association index values, reaching 43.909%. Meanwhile, the gastropod association between all species based on the association index value can be concluded that the association relationship is negative. Keywords: Association, Gastropods, Tayando Yamtel

Abstract

Penurunan kualitas air dapat berdampak pada menurunnya daya guna, hasil guna, produktivitas, daya dukung, serta daya tampung suatu sumber daya air. Dalam jangka panjang, kondisi ini akan menyebabkan penurunan kualitas lingkungan dan berkurangnya kekayaan sumber daya alam. Salah satu pendekatan untuk menilai tingkat pencemaran adalah melalui penggunaan organisme hidup sebagai bioindikator, yaitu makhluk hidup yang mampu memberikan respons terhadap perubahan kondisi lingkungan. Siput Ena montana merupakan salah satu hewan akuatik yang berpotensi dimanfaatkan sebagai bioindikator pencemaran perairan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kepadatan dan kelimpahan siput E. montana sebagai bioindikator pencemaran pada perairan Sungai Arbes, Desa Batu Merah, Kecamatan Sirimau, Kota Ambon. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai kepadatan tertinggi terdapat pada bagian hilir sungai dengan 81 ind/m² dan kelimpahan sebesar 4.843 individu, sedangkan nilai terendah terdapat pada bagian hulu dengan 4 ind/m² dan kelimpahan 214 individu. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin ke arah hilir Sungai Arbes, nilai kepadatan dan kelimpahan E. montana semakin meningkat. Tingginya jumlah individu dan kelimpahan E. montana pada kondisi perairan yang tercemar menunjukkan bahwa spesies ini memiliki kemampuan adaptasi fisiologis yang baik untuk bertahan hidup pada lingkungan dengan kualitas air rendah. Oleh karena itu, keberadaan E. montana dapat diidentifikasi sebagai indikator biologis yang efektif dalam menentukan tingkat pencemaran air.
