Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis indeks fertilitas reproduksi sapi Bali di Kecamatan Palakka Kabupaten Bone, yang digunakan untuk evaluasi guna meningkatkan keberhasilan IB. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan beberapa pengumpulan informasi yang meliputi beberapa variabel service per conception (S/C), conception rate (CR), dan days open. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sapi Bali betina sebanyak 60 ekor di Kecamatan Palakka Kabupaten Bone Sulawesi Selatan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai S/C sapi Bali betina yang telah beranak 2 kali dan 1 kali memiliki yaitu: P1= (1,43 ±0,57), P2= (1,20±0,85). Nilai CR pada sapi Bali yaitu P1= 60%±0,50, P2= 80%±0.41 dengan rataan 61.07%±13,85. Nilai DO pada masing-masing paritas yaitu P1= 98±64,7 hari, P2=79±45,7 hari dengan rataan 86±46,1 hari. Indeks Fertilitas sapi Bali betina pada P1= 43,8%, dan P2 = 68,5%. Indeks fertilitas sapi bali betina di Kecamatan Palakka, Kabupaten Bone tergolong baik. Indeks fertilitas sapi Bali pada paritas 1 sebesar 43,8%, dan paritas 2 sebesar 68,5%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus untuk melihat pengaruh perbaikan mutu pakan dengan memberikan suplementasi pakan terhadap tingkat konsepsi pada sapi dara Brahman Cross yang diinduksi berahi dengan mengkombinasikan hormon Progestron dalam bentuk CIDR (Controlled Internal Drug) dilanjutkan dengan program IB. Dengan harapan dengan perlakuan perbaikan mutu pakan dan induksi berahi yang dilanjutkan dengan IB pada sapi dara, dapat mempercepat terjadinya berahi yang ditandai dengan peningkatan pertambahan berat badan, perkawinan, tingkat konsepsi dan kelahiran pertama yang pada gilirannya akan mempercepat pertambahan populasi ternak sapi. Alat dan bahan yang digunakan dalam untuk pemeliharaan Sapi dara penelitian ini adalah 20 ekor sapi dara Brahman Cross dengan kisaran umur 1 – 1,5 tahun, Urea Molases Multinutrient Block (UMMB), yang terdiri dari molases, urea, dedak, bungkil kelapa, tepung kerang, garam, kapur dan mineral, gerobak pakan, sekop, ember air dan garpu rumput. Sedangkan alat dan bahan yang digunakan untuk induksi berahi dan inseminasi buatan antara lain hormon Progesteron dalam bentuk CIDR (Controlled Internal Drug Release dispenser), Gonadotrophin Releasing Hormone (GnRH), straw berisi semen beku sapi Simmental asal BIB Singosari, kapas, alkohol, air, spoit 10 ml, jarum suntik, ember, dan alat-alat Inseminasi Buatan. Peningkatan mutu pakan pada ternak dengan penambahan UMMB tidak bermakna terhadap pertambahan berat badan dan tingkat kebuntingan Sapi dara GnRH. Perlu direkomendasikan penggunaan Urea Molasses Multinutrient Block (UMMB) sebagai pakan tambahan pada ternak sapi, akan tetapi sebaiknya tidak perlu lagi digunakan apabila pakan yang diberikan berkualitas tinggi.

Abstract

Tujuan dari pelaksanaan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penampilan reproduksi pada sapi Peranakan Simmental betina meliputi; Service per Conception, Conception Rate, Estrus Post Partum, Days Open dan Calving Interval pada paritas yang berbeda di Kecamatan Palakka, Kabupaten Bone. Materi penelitian ini adalah indukan sapi peranakan Simmental sebanyak 90 ekor dari paritas 1, 2 dan 3 yang masing-masing paritas berjumlah 30 ekor. Prosedur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah survei dengan pengumpulan data primer dan skunder. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai S/C sapi Peranakan Simmental pada paritas 1,2 dan 3 masing-masing P1= (1,90 1,09), P2= (1,60 0,85) dan P3= (1,40 0,81) dengan nilai rataan S/C adalah 1,63 0,25. Nilai CR pada sapi Peranakan Simmental pada paritas 1,2 dan 3 adalah P1= (50% 0,51), P2= (56.6% 0.50) dan P3= (76.6% 0.40) dengan rataan 61.07% 13,85. Nilai EPP pada sapi Peranakan Simmental pada paritas 1,2 dan 3 yaitu P1= (94,0 7,81 hari), P2= (90,0 6,49 hari) dan P3= (85,8 4,63) hari dengan rataan EPP 89,9 4,10 hari. Nilai DO pada sapi Peranakan Simmental pada paritas 1,2 dan 3 yaitu P1= (184 64,7 hari), P2=(172 45,7 hari) dan P3=(165 20,9 hari) dengan rataan DO 174 46,1 hari. Nilai CI pada sapi Peranakan Simmental pada paritas 1,2 dan 3 yaitu P1= (465 66,2 hari), P2= (455 51,5 hari) dan P3= (442 42,2 hari) dengan rataan CI 454 51,5 hari. Disimpulkan bahwa penampilan reproduksi pada sapi Peranakan Simmental betina pada paritas yang berbeda meliputi nilai S/C, CR, EPP, DO dan CI di Kecamatan Palakkan, Kabupaten Bone, Sulawesi Selatan paling baik terdapat pada paritas 3.

Abstract

This study evaluated the effectiveness of a solar-powered Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) integrated with a water filtration system in improving water quality. This study employed an experimental approach, comparing influent and effluent water quality to determine treatment efficiency. The results showed significant improvements in water parameters, with pollutant removal efficiencies of 31.54% for Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) and 15.22% for pH reduction. The Dissolved Oxygen (DO) increased by 29.41% due to enhanced aeration. However, Electrical Conductivity (EC) increased by 46.07%, indicating the presence of dissolved ions post-treatment. The anaerobic-aerobic process effectively degrades organic pollutants, supported by bacterial activity, while the filtration system enhances water clarity and odor reduction. Despite these positive outcomes, the study has limitations, particularly the lack of Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) and Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) measurements, which restricts a comprehensive assessment of organic pollution removal. Future research should incorporate these parameters to provide a more holistic evaluation of wastewater treatment performance.

Abstract

The presence of natural antioxidants in medicinal plants plays a crucial role in inhibiting the detrimental effects of oxidative stress. The aim of this research is to explore more deeply all parts of A. esculenta L from flowers, fruits, seeds, leaves, and stems for the levels of compounds and antioxidant and enzyme inhibitor activities. The flowers demonstrated the highest TPC with 173.15942 ± 6.5083 mg GAE/g. The stems exhibited the lowest TPC value at 69.1967 ± 2.8408 mg GAE/g. The flowers also showed TFC value of 83.157 ± 2.021 mg QE/g while the stems displayed the lowest with 36.7240 ± 1.337 mg QE/g. IC50 value that the flowers possessed the highest antioxidant activity with 22.6539 ± 1.6452 mg/mL, whereas the stems displayed a slightly lower. In terms of the inhibitor of a-amylase activity, the flowers had an IC50 value of 102.4885 ± 11.4370 mg/mL whereas the stems had a lower. The highest IC50 value of the a-glucosidase inhibitor was 76.95 ± 12.0888 mg/mL in the flowers, and the lowest was in the stems. The highest IC50 of pancreatic lipase inhibitor was 109.5943 ± 9.7391 mg/mL in the flowers, and the lowest was in the stems. This study show that there is a relationship between the high content of total phenolic and total flavonoids on antioxidants, antidiabetic and antilipase activities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the pregnancy rate resulting from artificial insemination of Bali cattle with different semen depositions. The research method used was a field experiment with three treatments: semen deposition at positions 3, 4, and 4+ (right side/dexter side). Pregnancy rate data were evaluated through Non-Return Rate (NRR1 and NRR2), Service per Conception (S/C), and Conception Rate (CR). The study was conducted on 120 Bali cattle in Bulukumba District, South Sulawesi. The results showed an increase in NRR in semen deposition 3, 4, and 4+ during the observation period of NRR 31 – 60. Although some breeders reported arousal symptoms late, the increase in NRR indicates a good understanding of arousal detection. Semen deposition at position 3 produces the lowest NRR, which can be caused by reproductive function abnormalities, silent heat, endometritis, or late reporting by farmers. The results of the S/C evaluation showed the lowest value and the highest of CR at semen deposition 4, which means that the semen deposition was closer to the fertilization site. Semen deposition at positions 4+ on dexter side althrough closer to the fertilization site was lower results of CR than posisition 4, because sperma only toward in right tubafolopii. The effectiveness of AI is significantly impacted by accurately detecting and timing the insemination process based on the ovulation period. This study provides important information regarding AI techniques in Bali cattle that can be used to increase the population and genetic quality of beef cattle in Indonesia.

Abstract

The sperm sexing technique is the separation of spermatozoa carrying the X chromosome and the Y chromosome, which allows farmers to choose male births for beef cattle businesses. However, the process of centrifugation and sperm preservation can cause oxidative stress which gives rise to free radicals. Therefore, an antioxidant ingredient is needed in the diluent, including noni fruit extract which contains lots of flavonoids. This research aims to analyze the addition of noni fruit extract in a diluent to improve the quality of Y-chromosome spermatozoa at a storage temperature of 5oC. The results of the study showed the results of analysis of the progressive motility of Y-chromosome spermatozoa, showing a decrease in progressive motility, on D7 and D-9 there was a difference between control vs P1 and P2 (P<.05) respectively 37.63% vs 49.96% vs 48.56%, while on day 11 showed a very real difference between P0 vs P1 vs P2 respectively 24.32% vs 36.77% vs 40.87%. The addition of 3% and 5% noni extract can improve the quality of Y spermatozoa stored at 5oC. This is because noni extract contains amino acids, ascorbic acid, and flavonoids as antioxidants so that it is able to prevent free radicals, scavengers, and damage to the spermatozoa plasma membrane can be prevented. The addition of 5% noni fruit extract in the diluent to improve the quality of Y-chromosome spermatozoa at a storage temperature of 5oC for up to 11 days.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Kampung Wisata Purbayan merupakan kawasan heritage yang memiliki potensi besar dalam pengembangan pariwisata berbasis budaya dan sejarah. Keterbatasan masyarakat dalam melakukan promosi mengakibatkan banyak potensi wisata seperti situs sejarah Mataram Islam, arsitektur tradisional Jawa, dan kerajinan lokal belum optimal. Kondisi ini menunjukkan perlunya penguatan kapasitas masyarakat dalam mengelola dan mempromosikan desa wisata secara lebih efektif melalui edukasi, pendampingan, dan pemanfaatan teknologi digital.Tujuan: Pengabdian dilaksanakan untuk mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan potensi budaya, sejarah, dan nilai keagamaan di Kampung Wisata Purbayan dalam pengembangan wisata, dan masih rendahnya penggunaan teknologi digital sebagai media promosi dan edukasi.Metode: Metode yang digunakan adalah sosialisasi dengan melibatkan pemangku kepentingan lokal (pengelola kampung, UMKM, tokoh masyarakat) aktif dalam perancangan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi intervensi promosi digital dan edukasi wisata halal.Hasil: Hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) Internasional di Kampung Wisata Purbayan menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat memiliki potensi yang kuat dalam mengembangkan wisata berbasis nilai agama dan budaya. Kegiatan yang dilaksanakan pada 12–18 Maret 2023 dan melibatkan 67 peserta dari Indonesia, Malaysia, dan Suriname menghasilkan tiga temuan utama: (1) penguatan identitas religius dan budaya lokal sebagai basis pengembangan wisata, (2) peningkatan kapasitas masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digital untuk promosi wisata.
