Abstract

This research aims to test the influence of financial ratios and local government characteristics on the financial distress conditions of District/City Local Governments across the island of Sumatra. The financial ratios utilized in this study consist of effectiveness ratio, efficiency ratio, growth ratio, and budgetary solvency ratio. Meanwhile, the local government characteristics include financial independence, population size, area size, and the degree of decentralization. The data used in this research are secondary data obtained from the Budget Realization Report (LRA) published by the Directorate General of Financial Balance (DJPK) of the Ministry of Finance. The data analysis technique employed is logistic regression analysis using Eviews version 10 software. The research results indicate that effectiveness ratio, efficiency ratio, budgetary solvency ratio, financial independence of the region, and the degree of decentralization have a negative influence on the financial distress conditions of local governments. However, growth ratio and population size do not affect the financial distress conditions of local governments. On the other hand, the area size has a positive influence on the financial distress conditions of local governments the island of Sumatra.

Abstract

This thesis entiled Improving Students’ Reading Comprehension Throught the application of learning Cell Technique (A Collaborative Classroom Action Research to the first Year Student of SMA Negeri 2 Kutamakmur). The problem of this research are: 1) How does Learning Cell Technique improved the students’ reading ability in reading comprehension? And(2) how do the students’ respond toward the implementation Learning Cell Technique to the first year students’ of SMAN 2 Kuta Makmur?. The purpose of this research are: 1) To improve students’ reading comprehension to the first year students’ of SMAN 2 Kuta Makmur by using Learning Cell Technique. 2) To know the students response toward the implementation of Learning Cell Technique in teaching reading. To respond the research questions, the researcher used the collaborative classroom action research as the methodology of the research. Then the researcher did the collaboration with englis teacher to do the research. The setting of this research was SMAN 2 Kuta Makmur.

Abstract

The research of an analysis of grammatical error made by the students in writing recount text has beendone at SMAN 1 Peusangan. It was begun from October 2 2020 until October 3 2020. The problem ofthis research is; What are the most common types of grammatical errors made by the students in writingrecount text. Based on the research problem, there is one purpose of the research, namely; to find outthe most common types of grammatical errors made by students in writing recount text. The scope ofthis research focused on the grammatical errors made by 1st grade students of SMAN 1 Peusangan inwriting recount text. This research is designed as qualitative research using ‘test’ as the instrument ofthe research, the data is then analyzed with three steps of procedure, namely: data reduction, datadisplay, and data verification/conclusion drawing. The results of the research on the grammatical errorsmade by 1st grade students of SMAN 1 Peusangan in writing recount text showed that, capitalization wasthe most frequent error made by the 1st grade students of SMAN 1 Peusangan with the percentage of19%, meanwhile run-on sentence was the least frequent error made by the students with the percentageof 0%. Cause of error in intralingual error contributed up to 55% or 165 errors, followed by interferenceerror which contributed up to 35% or 107 errors, and the last is developmental error that contributed upto 10% or 30 errors. Based on the results of research, it was concluded that the 1st grade students of SMAN1 Peusangan often avoid the systematic of writing without capitalize several types of word like name ofplace, country, people and also the first letter of a new sentence. Conclusion was stated based on theresult that showed capitalization had the biggest contributions on students’ grammatical errors.Key Words: Grammatical Error, Recount Text

Abstract

This article is a research about An Analysis of the Novel Tanah Surga Merah by Arafat Nur. This research is intended to find out the portrait of Aceh between politic and Sharia law and to describe the impact of politic on the existence of Sharia law in Aceh. The whole process is carried out using the descriptive qualitative method, where primary and secondary data are collected to understand the whole research topic. The result of the analysis process shows that the local political system in Aceh has legitimized crime into the truth in the form of political and social hegemony. The hegemony causes Acehnese people to misapply the principles of life. Therefore, the presence of hegemony in Acehnese society had a very large negative impact on the survival of the social community. While the impact of politics on the existence of Sharia law in Aceh is the loss of moral values among Acehnese people that led them intentionally commit crimes even though they already know the truth. Abstract

Kebakaran hutan dan lahan (karhutla) telah menjadi bencana tahunan yang berulang di Indonesia, termasuk Provinsi Jambi. Bencana ini tidak hanya menyebabkan kerusakan alam dan lingkungan tetapi juga berdampak fatal pada kesehatan dan ancaman kehidupan masyarakat. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kesiapan dan efikasi diri masyarakat menghadapi ancaman serta dampak kesehatan akibat karhutla. Dengan metode Focus Group Discussion (FGD) memberikan sosialisasi dan simulasi sebagai langkah efektif membentuk dan meningkatkan efikasi diri serta memotivasi masyarakat dalam kesiapsiagaan penanganan awal korban bencana dan edukasi preventif penyakit akibat karhutla. Pengabdian ini melibatkan tokoh masyarakat dan tim dari Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Provinsi Jambi, sehingga bersinergi mendukung program pemerintah meningkatkan peran kemandirian masyarakat mengatasi dampak morbiditas dan mortalitas akibat bencana karhutla.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of financial behavior, financial literacy, and financial management behavior on the financial well-being of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Lhokseumawe, Indonesia, with a particular focus on the mediating role of financial stress. This study is a quantitative study using a purposive sampling technique with a sample of 145 respondents (MSME owners) in Lhokseumawe. The data source comes from primary data obtained through questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is PLS-SEM with SmartPLS software. The results show that financial behavior and financial management behavior have a significant positive influence on financial well-being, while financial stress has a negative impact on financial well-being. Financial stress mediates the relationship between financial behavior and financial well-being, as well as between financial management behavior and financial well-being. These findings underscore the importance of promoting good financial practices and stress management among MSMEs to improve their financial well-being and contribute to local economic development.
