Abstract

Background: Violence against women is a global public health problem, with an estimated one in three women experiencing physical, emotional, or sexual violence. Approximately one in three women worldwide have experienced physical or sexual violence. Intimate partners have the right to beat their female partners, violence experienced by women is often underreported. Purpose: to describe the causal factors that contribute to violence against women. Methods: Systematic review method, data sources, study selection, search, eligibility criteria, data collection, and literature taxonomy. These articles were published over a 6-year period from 2018 to 2023 with selection using PRISMA. the results found 12 articles that had been studied extensively to map the research area. Results: 61 variables consisting of two parts, namely demographic characteristics and factors that contribute to the cause were studied in the article. Based on the results of the article analysis, it was found that the dominant factors studied, and had a significant relationship to the occurrence of violence against women included: 1) age; 2) women's education; 3) place of residence; 4) family income; and 5) women's work. Conclusion: Based on the findings, the dominant factors are very important to be followed up in further research with an artificial intelligence (AI) approach using machine learning, which is an interdisciplinary collaboration, especially in the field of women's reproductive health, in line with the emphasis of the digital era on the use of AI.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk (a) meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat tentang pengelolaan keuangan usaha kecil dan mikro, (b) memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat desa terhadap metode meningkatkan pendapatan, (c) menumbuhkan kemandirian bagi masyarakat setempat dalam berusaha dalam upaya meningkatkan usaha kecil dan mikro menjadi usaha menengah. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian adalah memberikan bimbingan berupa pengetahuan, konsultasi, dan pelatihan kepada masyarakat khususnya para pelaku usaha mikro dan kecil dapat diimplementasikan pada usahanya. Hasil kegiatan yaitu pelaku UMKM mampu memahami dan melakukan pencatatan pemasukan kas dan pengeluaran kas yang baik dan benar dan juga pelaku UMKM mampu memahami petunjuk-petunjuk sederhana dalam melakukan penyusunan laporan keuangan yang baik dan benar. Dengan kesimpulan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat mengenai pengelolaan keuangan serta peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat terhadap metode dalam meningkatkan pendapatan dan juga menumbuhkan kemandirian bagi masyarakat setempat dalam upaya meningkatkan usaha kecil dan makro menjadi udaha menengah.

Abstract

This research looks at the influence of human resource competence and innovation on small and medium-sized micro-enterprises. The study uses a quantitative approach by testing hypotheses using statistics. Calculations are done based on statistical formulas with the help of the Smart PLS 2.0M3 application. The study uses a survey method, i.e., collects data from specific natural locations, but the researchers implement treatments in data collection by distributing tables, questions, structured tests, and interviews. The sample for the study was 65 respondents. The results of this study are: (1) The influence of market orientation on human resource competence has a positive and significant value. It is seen from the relationship between variables of 63,534 > 1.96. (2) There is a positive and significant influence between market orientation towards MSME innovation, it is seen from the relationship between variables 4,145 > 1.96. (3) There is a positive and significant influence between human resource competencies on MSME innovation. This is evident from the relationship results between variables 15,149 > 1.96. (4) There is a positive and significant influence between market orientation and human resource competence on MSME innovation. This is seen from the relationship results between variables of 78,683 > 1.96.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of compensation and internal control on employee performance. This research was conducted at PT. Hasrat Abadi branch kendari. The sample in this research is as much as 20 responden by using sample saturation that is sample determination technique with all member of population used as sample. Methods of data collection is done by using questionnaires that have been distributed to all respondents. Technique analysis using multiple linear regression analysis method. The results of this study indicate that the compensation effect partially and significantly on employee performance, Internal controls influence partially but not significant to employee performance. Compensation and internal control simultaneously affect employee performance. This means the fairer the compensation and the better the company's internal control can improve employee performance.

Abstract

This research investigates the psychological factors influencing students when using YouTube videos as a medium for learning English in the classroom setting. Adopting a qualitative method with a narrative inquiry approach, the study examines how YouTube impacts students’ motivation, interest, attitudes, talents, intelligence levels, and anxiety, along with the obstacles they encounter. Data were gathered through in-depth interviews with ten eighth-grade students from SMP Hidayatullah Martapura, South Kalimantan, who learned English through YouTube videos shared by their teacher. The results indicate that YouTube videos noticeably enhance students' psychological engagement in learning English. The majority of students experienced increased motivation, greater interest, and more positive attitudes toward the content. The audiovisual nature of the videos was found to aid comprehension and alleviate learning anxiety. Despite these benefits, challenges such as limited technological access, inconsistent internet connection, disruptive ads, and difficulty in locating suitable educational material were also identified. This study emphasizes that while YouTube videos can be a powerful tool in language learning, their success relies on carefully selected content, active teacher involvement, and adequate infrastructure. The findings provide important insights for educators, schools, and researchers seeking to use digital media to improve language acquisition in a psychologically aware and effective way.

Abstract

Early childhood independence is a crucial developmental aspect that does not develop naturally but requires optimal stimulation from teachers. This study aims to examine the teacher's role in building children's independence in the modern era at Pendidikan Kasih Ibu, Muara Tembesi District, identify the obstacles faced, and describe the efforts made to overcome them. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation with the principal and teachers as subjects. Data analysis involved reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, with validity ensured through triangulation. The results indicate that teachers play key roles as role models, facilitators, technology users, and collaborators with parents. Independence is fostered through habituation, modeling, and providing opportunities for independent activities. Obstacles include children's dependency, inconsistent parenting patterns, and teachers' limited digital skills. Efforts to overcome these challenges include habituating simple daily tasks, granting children the freedom to choose, and strengthening cooperation with parents to ensure consistency between school and home environments.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ learning interest through the use of Dice and Card Game learning media. In class V of MI Nurul Iman Pematang Gajah, students’ learning interest in Mathematics was still relatively low, with a total of 17 students. This research was Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis and Mc Taggart model, which consisted of two cycles. The results of this study showed an improvement in students’ learning interest through the use of Dice and Card Game learning media. The average percentage of students’ learning interest increased from 48.89% in the pre-cycle, to 79.7% in cycle I, and 88.3% in cycle II, which was categorized as very high learning interest. The percentage of students’ achievement also increased from 11% in the pre-cycle, to 64.70% in cycle I, and 100% in cycle II, which was categorized as very high. In addition, teacher and student activities also improved, with 73.6% in cycle I and 88.2% in cycle II. The implications of this study indicate that the Dice and Card Game learning media can be used as an innovative alternative instructional medium to create an active, interactive, and enjoyable learning environment, thereby improving students’ interest in Mathematics learning.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the importance of using learning media that are attractive and appropriate to the characteristics of early childhood in introducing numbers and colors. Based on preliminary observations at Al Fath Kindergarten, Kedemangan Village, Muaro Jambi, it was found that some children still had difficulties recognizing numbers and colors and were less enthusiastic about participating in conventional learning activities. Therefore, the use of number and color puzzle media was considered an alternative to improve children's interest and learning abilities. This study aimed to describe the use of number and color puzzle media at Al Fath Kindergarten in Kedemangan Village, Muaro Jambi, to identify children's responses to the use of the media, and to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. The research subjects consisted of classroom teachers, the principal, and children of Al Fath Kindergarten in Kedemangan Village, Muaro Jambi. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation and technique triangulation.The results showed that the use of number and color puzzle media had been implemented effectively in learning activities. Teachers used puzzle media as a learning-through-play tool to introduce numbers and colors to children. Children's responses to the use of puzzle media were very positive, as indicated by increased enthusiasm, participation, and involvement during the learning process. The use of puzzle media also helped improve children's ability to recognize numbers and colors, enhance concentration, develop logical thinking skills, and improve fine motor skills. Supporting factors included teacher creativity, the availability of learning media, and support from the school. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors included differences in children's abilities, limited numbers of puzzle media, and children's short attention spans. Abstract

The formation of early numeracy skills in early childhood requires concrete and engaging learning media. However, abstract mathematical concepts often become obstacles in the learning process, causing children to experience difficulties in recognizing symbols and counting numbers. This study aims to analyze the improvement of early numeracy skills in children aged 4–5 years through the use of number block games in Group B1 at Harapan Bunda Kindergarten, Kubu Kandang Village, Batang Hari Regency. The approach used in this research is qualitative descriptive with a case study design. The research subjects consisted of the principal, classroom teachers, companion teachers, and Group B1 students. Data collection was carried out comprehensively through observation, interviews, and documentation methods. The validity of the research data was tested through extended participation, observation persistence, and data triangulation. The results showed that: 1) The numeracy learning process is carried out through three main stages: planning integrated into the institutional curriculum, RPPM, and RPPH; learning implementation packed through meaningful play activities and routine habituation; and assessment using observation instruments, anecdotal records, and child portfolios. 2) Supporting factors for the success of this method are driven by contextual curriculum content, strong internal school motivation, and the availability of adequate educational game tools (APE) infrastructure. 3) The practical application of number block games is able to eliminate obstacles in early mathematics learning by stimulating children's cognitive functions in symbolic thinking, facilitating the mastery of number symbols one to ten, while providing comfort for teachers in facilitating a concrete and fun learning process.

Abstract

This paper presents a literature review examining recent scholarly works on the integration of local folktales into English language instruction for young learners, framed within the principles of Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) and supported by digital storytelling technologies. The purpose of this review is to synthesize theories, frameworks, and empirical findings from credible and up-to-date journals, with the aim of identifying key insights relevant to the subtheme Innovation in Language Education in the Digital Era. The reviewed literature covers three main areas: (1) the pedagogical value of folktales in fostering linguistic competence and cultural identity, (2) the effectiveness of digital storytelling tools such as animated videos, interactive e-books, and audio platforms in supporting young learners’ language skills, and (3) the role of CRT in creating inclusive and culturally meaningful learning environments. Through comparative analysis of multiple studies, the paper highlights common themes, emerging trends, and research gaps. The conclusion offers synthesized implications for curriculum design, teacher professional development, and the implementation of low-cost digital storytelling practices in bilingual primary education. This review aims to provide a theoretically grounded and evidence-based perspective for educators and policymakers seeking to integrate cultural heritage and digital innovation into English language teaching for young learners.
