Abstract

The new policy of the Indonesian educational system aims to engage all stakeholders, including teachers, in continually improving their capacity and adapting to changes. This study aims to develop an English language learning module titled "Knowing My World" for lower-grade primary students by adopting the ADDIE development model. The module integrates deep learning principles and local cultural content to enhance student engagement and contextual understanding, a development that has never been attempted before. This research was conducted at SDN 1 Kepulauan Pongok using a Research and Development (R&D) approach. The needs analysis revealed that students aged 8 to 9 years required visually rich, interactive, and culturally relevant materials. The design phase focused on structuring the module into six thematic units covering vocabulary related to colours, animals, food, daily routines, school, and nature. Instructional strategies included storytelling, songs, role-play, and group tasks. The module was piloted in one school, supported by teacher training and digital tools. The validity and practicality tests showed a valid result, with an average validity of 80.4% and an average practicality of 83% from both teachers and students. Suggestions for improvement included adding digital interactivity, bilingual guidance, and phonics-based activities. The results indicate that culturally contextualized and developmentally appropriate materials can support joyful and meaningful English learning in early education settings. Kebijakan baru dalam sistem pendidikan di Indonesia menuntut seluruh pemangku kepentingan, termasuk para guru, untuk terus meningkatkan kapasitas mereka dan beradaptasi dengan perubahan yang terjadi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris berjudul “Knowing My World” bagi siswa sekolah dasar kelas rendah dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE. Modul ini mengintegrasikan prinsip pembelajaran mendalam serta muatan budaya lokal untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dan pemahaman kontekstual yang belum pernah dikembangkan oleh peneliti sebelumnya. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SDN 1 Kepulauan Pongok dengan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D). Hasil analisis kebutuhan menunjukkan bahwa siswa berusia 8–9 tahun memerlukan materi yang kaya visual, interaktif, serta relevan dengan budaya mereka. Pada tahap perancangan, modul disusun ke dalam enam unit tematik yang mencakup kosakata tentang warna, hewan, makanan, rutinitas sehari-hari, sekolah, dan alam. Strategi pembelajaran yang digunakan meliputi bercerita, lagu, bermain peran, dan tugas kelompok. Modul ini diujicobakan di satu sekolah dengan dukungan pelatihan guru dan pemanfaatan perangkat digital. Hasil uji validitas dan praktikalitas menunjukkan hasil yang baik, yaitu valid dengan persentase 80,4% pada uji validitas dan 83% pada uji praktikalitas rata-rata dari guru dan siswa. Beberapa saran perbaikan mencakup penambahan interaktivitas digital, panduan dwibahasa, serta kegiatan berbasis fonik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa materi pembelajaran yang kontekstual secara budaya dan sesuai dengan tahap perkembangan anak dapat mendukung pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris yang menyenangkan dan bermakna di pendidikan dasar.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kurangnya pemahaman pelaku UMKM terhadap pentingnya identitas dan cara pengemasan produk menjadi permasalahan utama yang ada di Desa Batu Beriga, Kecamatan Lubuk Besar, Bangka Tengah, Bangka Belitung. Oleh karena itu, tujuan program pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman pelaku UMKM terhadap pentingnya kedua aspek diatas. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah pelatihan dengan tahapan pemaparan dan praktikum. Mitra dalam pelatihan ini adalah sebanyak 15 pelaku UMKM di Desa Batu Beriga. Pre dan Post-test dilakukan untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman setelah dilakukan pemaparan dan praktik. Ditemukan sebanyak 30% peningkatan pemahaman terhadap aspek penting dalam perancangan logo produk dan 10% dalam aspek pengemasan dengan prosentase akhir sangat baik.Abstract: The lack of understanding among Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) entrepreneurs about the importance of branding and product packaging is a major issue in the village of Batu Beriga, Lubuk Besar District, Central Bangka, Bangka Belitung. Therefore, the goal of this community engagement program is to improve the understanding of MSME entrepreneurs regarding the significance of these two aspects. The method used in this program is training, which includes presentations and practical sessions. The partners in this training are 15 MSME entrepreneurs in Batu Beriga village. Pre- and post-tests were conducted to measure the improvement in understanding after the presentations and practical sessions. It was found that there was a 30% increase in understanding of the key aspects of product logo design and a 10% increase in product packaging, with the final percentage of understanding being rated as excellent.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kesetaraan dalam mendapatkan pendidika bagi anak binaan di Lembaga Pembinaan Khusus Anak (LPKA) masih terus menjadi permasalahan yang belum diselesaikan terutama di Kelas II Pangkalping Bangka Belitung. Oleh karena itu, tujuan program pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan guna memberikan akses kesetaraan pendidikan bagi anak binaan serta memberikan waktu produktif mereka untuk mengembangkan kreatifitas khususnya keterampilan menulis. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah pelatihan dengan tahapan pemaparan dan praktikum. Mitra dalam pelatihan ini adalah Lembaga Pembinaan Khusus Anak Kelas II Pangkalpinang dengan melibatkan 26 anak. Penilaian portofolio dari kedua fase tulisa mandiri peserta menjadi instrument dalam analisis penilaian. Perbandingan sebelum dan setelah mendapatkan pelatihan terlihat sangat signifikan. Ditemukan rata-rata peningkatan sebesar 16.25% dari keempat komponen penilian yaitu Judul, Kreatifitas Isi, Struktur dan Bahasa. Hasil ini membuktikan bahwa pelatihan ini dapat meningkatkan pemahaman dan kreatifitas anak binaan dalam menulis fiksi.Abstract: Equality in obtaining education for foster children at the Lembaga Pembinaan Khusus Anak (LPKA) continues to be an unresolved problem, especially in Class II Pangkalping Bangka Belitung. Therefore, the purpose of this community service program is to provide training to provide access to equal education for foster children and provide their productive time to develop creativity, especially in writing. The method used in this community service is training with stages of presentation and practicum. The partner in this training is the Special Child Development Institution Class II Pangkalpinang involving 26 children. Portfolio assessment from both phases of participants' independent writing became an instrument in the assessment analysis. The comparison before and after receiving training looks very significant. An average increase of 16.25% was found from the four assessment components, namely Title, Content Creativity, Structure and Language. These results prove that this training can improve the understanding and creativity of foster children in writing fiction.

Abstract

This research focuses on the development of LearningMu, a web-based English learning application designed for senior high school students in rural areas, particularly Belitung Regency, Indonesia. The initiative was motivated by persistent obstacles such as limited digital facilities, low student engagement in conventional classrooms, and the lack of cultural contextual learning resources. A research and development method was applied with the ADDIE development approach, enabling iterative refinement of the system based on continuous feedback from both teachers and students. The primary goal was to create an interactive, user-friendly, and accessible platform that supports autonomous learning. Trial implementation involving 30 students and three English teachers demonstrated that LearningMu provides an attractive interface, straightforward navigation, and locally relevant materials. The integration of multimedia resources, gamified quizzes, and monitoring features is hoped to enhance students’ motivation, language comprehension, and collaboration between schools and parents. Overall, the findings suggest that LearningMu is an effective and innovative tool to reduce educational disparities in underserved communities, and its modular design offers potential for wider adoption in similar contexts.
