Abstract

The Qur’anic tafsir (exegesis) has undergone changes over time, addressing issues from classical eras to current challenges faced by the Muslim community. Concerns have been raised about approaches that are overly literal or forceful in understanding the contexts of Qur’anic verses for application in the present time. Hence, there is a need to formulate a more profound effort to explore the meanings of the Qur’an to extract its messages and guidance. This involves understanding the contextual aspects of Qur’anic verses in terms of history and literal meanings, applying them to contemporary situations. However, as highlighted, there appears to be a gap between existing theories and their practical realities. This underscores the necessity for more careful and structured research to bridge the theoretical and practical aspects. The objective of this study is to analyze the contextualization of the Qur’an in the contemporary era, as pioneered by Abdullah Saeed. The study employed a qualitative method with an analytical study approach, utilizing literature review as the primary data collection method, drawing from Abdullah Saeed’s writings, journal articles, books, and relevant references. The findings revealed that Abdullah Saeed’s contextualization of the Qur’an is highly relevant in understanding verses that remain textual and challenging to interpret. With the evolution of the modern era, there is a need for reinterpretation, especially in the context of nation-building and culture. The local descent of Qur’anic revelations and the complexity of developments in the modern context necessitate a new understanding. The understanding sought in the current context is dynamic and can contribute to a more harmonious life. This points towards a new direction for humanity in the current millennial era.

Abstract

The prevailing issues in education have shown that schools and teachers have struggled to implement effective Arabic learning methodologies. While teachers comprehend various teaching approaches, these methods are often ineffective for students. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of the al-sam'iyyah al-syafawiyyah learning method in teaching Arabic at SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta. The research used a qualitative method to involve teachers and students within SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta. Data collection methods included interviews, observations, and documentation. The analysis followed Miles and Huberman's data display, reduction, and verification techniques. Triangulation was utilized to fortify the research data from fieldwork and primary sources (literature). The study revealed significant disparities between the al-sam'iyyah al-syafawiyyah method and the conventional teaching approaches practiced by teachers at the school. According to teacher feedback, the predominant method used thus far has been lecturing, resulting in 60% of students not mastering the 'mufradāt.' Conversely, the implications of the al-sam'iyyah al-syafawiyyah method indicated highly engaged, active, and practical students. This method primarily focuses on enhancing student concentration through listening, imitating teacher explanations, and practicing the fluency of 'mufradāt.'

Abstract

Intelligence and personality are gifts from Allah that share both similarities and differences, viewed from the perspective of Islamic Education Psychology. This research aims to explore the distinctions between the two. It is a systematic review conducted with a qualitative approach, drawing materials from various sources such as books, theses, journals, and reputable electronic resources. The findings reveal that there are commonalities and disparities between intelligence and personality according to Islamic Education Psychology. The similarities can be observed in the fundamental meanings of both terms and the aspects associated with them. In terms of their definitions, both have the root word 'aqal', which means acquiring knowledge for intelligence, while for personality, it serves as the foundation for behavior. As for their aspects, the difference lies in the fact that intellectual intelligence is utilized to develop one's intellect, while in personality, intellectuality determines behavioral patterns. Spiritual intelligence is employed to cultivate norms or values within oneself, whereas personality encompasses a person's inclination towards specific norms or values.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menemukan konsep strategi pemasaran bisnis ekonomi Islam di masa pandemic COVID-19 sebagai kata kuncinya “Neuromarketing menjadi pendekatannya”. Beredar dengan adanya informasi di semua social media, media cetak, dan penelitian-penelitian yang relevan pertumbuhan ekonomi bisnis di Indonesia sangat menurun dengan datangnya pandemic COVID-19.  Menyebarnya virus COVID-19 di Indonesia menyebabkan inkam pemasukan para pelaku bisnis ekonomi dan UMKM menurun secara drastis, mengakibatkan para pedagang dan pembisnis gulung tingkar, istirahat operasi jual, dan bahkan ada yang gulung tikar. Data penelitian penelitian ini bersumber melalui pengamatan literature terkait deskripsi jurnal-jurnal ilmiah yang beriputasi nasional maupun internasional dan pencermatan terhadap referensi karya penelitian, baik secara manual ataupun digital yang focus menemukan konsep baru marketing bisnis Islam dalam kajian Neurosains. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif  studi kepustakaan (research library) dengan teknik analisys content. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa konsep dan strategi yang baru dalam pengembangan dan peningkatan inkam pemasukan bisnis ekonomi Islam terkhusus para pemodal dan pembisnis dengan pendekatan Neuromarketing mampu memudahkan para pelaku bisnis Islam mengembalikan stabilitas pemasukan laba. Karena pada dasarnya mengaitkan diskursus kajian Neurosains dengan ilmu ekonomi Islam yang lebih dikenal dengan Neuromarketing, melakukan pemasaran dalam bisnis ekonomi Islam dengan pendekatan otak kepada para pembeli. Pendekatan Neuromarketing memiliki dua aspek terhadap pendekatan kepada konsumen atau pembeli yaitu dalam aspek penguasaan teknologi digitalisasi yang modern dan aspek evaluasi (muhasabah) marketing. Dengan demikian para pelaku bisnis dan pedagang di Indonesia pemasukan laba berbanding normal dan  meningkat di masa pandemic COVID-19.

Abstract

The purpose of this research analyzing Islamic education learning in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic from the perspective of Neuroscience. The development of the learning model of Islamic education and neuroscience in this modern era is in line with research on neuroscience in Islamic education discourse, which so far has only been understood as edentically with medical science, namely health in the brain. while Neuroscience is integrated with Islamic education in theological aspects (Alquran and hadith), historical, academic and theoretical. This research data is sourced through literature observations related to descriptions of scientific journals and examination of references to research works, both manually and digitally, which focus on discussing Islamic education learning in the new discourse of Neuroscience. This research is a literature study using qualitative methods. The results of the study prove that Neuroscience has traces in the field of Islamic education thought theologically has a Neorubiological basis in the Qur'an surah al-Alaq verses 15-16 with the keyword "nasyiyah" (crown), historically Neuroscience is closely related to Islamic philosophy, fiqh and ushul fiqh. Academically and theoretically related to the concept of 'Aql and Qolb in the Koran and hadith. Its derivatives gave rise to the hybridization of Neuroscience and Islamic education. Abstract

The tahlilan tradition in Madura serves not only as a religious ritual but also as a significant social and cultural mechanism that strengthens communal bonds. In the context of Madura, tahlilan goes beyond prayer, representing solidarity, empathy, and social cohesion among community members. This study aims to analyze how tahlilan influences social solidarity and harmony within Madurese society, focusing on its role in community integration and the maintenance of social ties. A qualitative case study method was employed, involving interviews with local religious leaders, community figures, and participants in the tahlilan rituals, along with observations of religious practices in Pasean, Pamekasan. The results show that tahlilan plays a crucial role in reinforcing collective identity and social harmony in Madura. It fosters a sense of belonging and mutual support across social classes, while also serving as a mechanism for collective grieving and emotional expression. However, financial pressures related to hosting tahlilan can lead to social strain, particularly among lower-income families. This study highlights the cultural significance of tahlilan and its impact on social dynamics but acknowledges that further research is needed to explore economic challenges and evolving practices in different socio-economic contexts. Tradisi tahlilan di Madura tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai ritual keagamaan, tetapi juga sebagai mekanisme sosial dan budaya yang memperkuat ikatan komunal. Dalam konteks Madura, tahlilan melampaui doa, mencerminkan solidaritas, empati, dan kohesi sosial di antara anggota masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana tahlilan memengaruhi solidaritas sosial dan harmoni dalam masyarakat Madura, dengan fokus pada peran tradisi ini dalam integrasi komunitas dan pemeliharaan hubungan sosial. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kasus kualitatif, melibatkan wawancara dengan tokoh agama, tokoh masyarakat, dan peserta tahlilan, serta observasi langsung terhadap praktik keagamaan di Pasean, Pamekasan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tahlilan berperan penting dalam memperkuat identitas kolektif dan harmoni sosial di Madura. Tradisi ini mendorong rasa memiliki dan saling mendukung di berbagai lapisan masyarakat, serta menjadi mekanisme untuk meredakan duka bersama. Namun, tekanan finansial terkait pelaksanaan tahlilan dapat menimbulkan beban sosial, terutama bagi keluarga berpenghasilan rendah. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya tahlilan secara budaya dan pengaruhnya terhadap dinamika sosial, namun diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut untuk mengeksplorasi tantangan ekonomi dan perubahan praktik dalam konteks sosial-ekonomi yang berbeda.

Abstract

Weak faith in children can stem from inadequate faith education within the family, leading to problematic behaviors such as klithih (youth violence involving sharp weapons), school brawls, and early marriages in Yogyakarta, which often result in domestic violence and early divorce. This study focuses on understanding Surah Luqman verses 12–19, which narrate Luqman's guidance to his son on faith. The research aims to: (1) explore the importance of children's faith education within the family, (2) identify effective methods for instilling faith in children, and (3) examine factors influencing faith education. Using a literature review approach, this study analyzes the selected verses through content analysis. The findings conclude: (1) Faith education in the family is crucial, as emphasized in verse 12; (2) verse 13 suggests instilling faith through advice against shirk (associating others with God) and encouraging respect for parents; (3) Factors influencing faith education include parental example, determination in educating children, polite and effective communication, the surrounding environment, and the embodiment of noble character in daily life. This research provides valuable insights for parents to foster a harmonious family through effective faith education.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis metode dan pendekatan dalam tafsir bi al-matsur (tafsir berdasarkan sejarah) dalam tinjauan kronologis sejarah penafsiran Al-Qur'an. Tafsir Al-Qur'an merupakan disiplin ilmu yang sangat penting dalam memahami makna dan pesan yang terkandung dalam teks suci Al-Qur'an. Dalam kajian ini akan melihat perkembangan metode dan pendekatan yang digunakan dalam tafsir bi al-matsur yang mengacu pada penafsiran berdasarkan sejarah dan tradisi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan sejarah dan analisis literatur. Kajian ini melibatkan pengumpulan data dari berbagai sumber primer dan sekunder, termasuk kitab-kitab tafsir klasik dan kontemporer, serta literatur sejarah tentang tafsir Al-Qur'an. Data yang terkumpul akan dianalisis secara kronologis untuk melihat evolusi metode dan pendekatan dalam tafsir bi al-matsur dari waktu ke waktu. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman yang lebih baik mengenai perkembangan dan variasi metode dan pendekatan dalam tafsir bi al-matsur. matsur sepanjang sejarah penafsiran Al-Qur'an. Secara kronologis, penelitian ini akan mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis berbagai pendekatan yang digunakan para mufasir dari berbagai periode, serta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perubahan tersebut. Hal ini juga dapat memberikan landasan bagi penelitian lebih lanjut di bidang ini, serta memberikan kontribusi terhadap kajian tentang sejarah penafsiran Al-Qur'an dan pengembangan metode dan pendekatan dalam tafsir bi al-matsur. Dengan pemahaman yang lebih baik terhadap sejarah dan tradisi penafsiran Al-Qur'an, kita dapat memperkaya pemahaman kita terhadap pesan-pesan Al-Qur'an dan menerapkannya secara relevan dalam konteks perkembangan zaman.

Abstract

This study examines how neuroscience can enrich our understanding of religious moderation, particularly in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Focusing on Muhammadiyah's fatwas, this research aims to understand how a neuro-religious approach can support the implementation of moderation principles in religious practices. Through a qualitative analysis of relevant literature, this study finds that Muhammadiyah's fatwas during the pandemic emphasized the importance of balance between faith and reason in addressing public health challenges. Neuroscience provides a scientific foundation for understanding how the human brain processes religious information and how moderation can be promoted through cognitive mechanisms. The results show that Muhammadiyah's fatwas not only provide practical guidance for worship during the pandemic but also encourage the development of a moderate attitude rooted in a deeper understanding of Islamic teachings. This study concludes that the integration of neuroscience and Islamic studies can contribute to the development of a more comprehensive framework for promoting religious moderation in the future.

Abstract

This research focuses on presenting a model for developing Child-Friendly Schools (SRA) in Yogyakarta's primary schools by combining principles from neuroscience and Islamic education. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, the study engages school principals, teachers, and students as research subjects. Data collection entails observations, interviews, and documentation, with data validity ensured through source and technique triangulation. Analysis follows Miles Huberman's Interactive Model, encompassing data reduction, presentation, and conclusion/verification. The study reveals that SD Negeri Giwangan and SD Negeri Ngupasan effectively implement child-friendly school practices according to Yogyakarta Mayor's Decree No. 434 of 2016. These schools prioritize six essential indicators: 1) SRA Policy, 2) Curriculum implementation, 3) Training of educators and staff in children's rights, 4) SRA facilities and infrastructure, 5) Fostering child participation, and 6) Encouraging parent involvement. The incorporation of neuroscience insights and Islamic education principles has notable positive implications. This approach contributes to shaping students' behavior to become both well-behaved and child-friendly. Moreover, it facilitates the creation of an enjoyable learning environment and nurtures students' imaginative capabilities. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan model pengembangan Sekolah Ramah Anak (SRA) berbasis neurosains dan pendidikan Islam di SD Kota Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek Penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, guru, dan siswa. Teknik Pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Keabsahan data menggunakan Triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Analisis Data menggunakan Model Interaktif Miles Huberman mencakup reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah SD Negeri Giwangan dan SD Negeri Ngupasan menerapkan sekolah ramah anak berdasarkan Surat Keputusan Walikota Yogyakarta Nomor 434 Tahun 2016. Kedua sekolah tersebut menerapkan 6 (enam) indikator Sekolah ramah anak yaitu 1) Kebijakan SRA, 2). Pelaksanaan kurikulum, 3). Pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan terlatih hak-hak anak, 4). Sarana dan prasarana SRA, 5). Partisipasi anak, dan 6). Partisipasi orang tua. Implikasi dari neurosains dan pendidikan Islam membantu peran siswa berlaku baik dan ramah anak. Menciptakan suasana lingkungan sekolah yang menyenangkan dan menumbuhkan sikap imajinasi kreatif siswa.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become an integral part of digital literacy systems and plays a vital role in the development of intelligence. In the educational sector, AI represents a significant innovation that can greatly enhance the quality of learning and educational management. This technology offers numerous benefits, supporting educational stability and improving the teaching and learning processes. However, it is crucial to acknowledge that AI can also lead to adverse effects if misused. Therefore, ensuring the responsible use of AI in education is essential, adhering to applicable ethical standards. Educational institutions, particularly those with Islamic values, must continually innovate in response to technological advancements. At the same time, they should equip their students with strong religious values to mitigate potential harm that may arise from these technological developments. By fostering a balanced approach, educational institutions can leverage AI’s potential while safeguarding their students' moral and ethical foundations.
