Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) Untuk mengetahui dan memperoleh data empiris peran komite pemantau legislatif dalam mendorong kinerja legislasi DPRD Kota Makassar. (2) Mengetahui dan menilai tingkat keberhasilan komite pemantau legislatif dalam mendorong kinerja legislasi DPRD Kota Makassar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan fokus pada fenomena, kejadian, perilaku. sikap, khusus dalam penelitian sosial. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunanakan yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi, yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data secara konkret yang berkaitan dengan permasalahan dalam penelitian ini. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini di analisis dengan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1). Peran komite pemantau legislatif (KOPEL) dalam mendorong kinerja legislasi DPRD Kota Makassar : a) Advokasi kebijakan pemerintah daerah meliputi: Sekolah parlemen KOPEL Indonesia, Workshop, Training Legal drafting. b) Riset dan pengembangan kinerja DPRD Kota Makassar meliputi Publik hearing, Menyiapkan draf analisis, rapat dengar pendapat. c) Pendampingan masyarakat sipil. (2). Tingkat keberhasilan komite pemantau legislatif (KOPEL) dalam mendorong kinerja legislasi DPRD Kota Makassar diantaranya: a) Peningkatan pemahaman dalam menyusun peraturan, b) Peningkatan transparansi kapasitas kinerja sekretariat DPRD Kota Makassar, c) Memperkuat transparansi dukungan penerimaan aspirasi masyarakat, d) Memperkuat transparansi dengan fasilitas e-parlement kopel Sulawesi, e) Membangun keahlian legal drafting.

Abstract

Political populism is a phenomenon that can affect the health of democracy if misused by political actors, political populism is often only used as a strategy for political victory, so populism always has a negative meaning in society. The purpose of this research is to contribute in interpreting political populism from the perspective of civic education, it can describe the meaning of rational political populism in a democratic state through the dimensions of civic education as an educative process in society. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The results of this study describe political populism as something that can have a negative impact and can have a positive impact. So that through the study of civic education it is necessary to build the concept of rational populism. Rational populism is considered necessary in directing populism to have a positive impact on the development of democracy in Indonesia. Rational populism is a strategy in politics by prioritizing reasonable considerations, based on facts and data, and providing constructive narratives in the democratic process. Civics Education provides a more concrete and systematic picture and understanding of political populism. The conclusion of this research is that through the dimensions of civic education, namely, civic disposition and civic engagement as a lens in examining political populism as a more complex phenomenon, exploring the implications of political populism, thus providing a more comprehensive picture of its meaning. The meaning of political populism is a political strategy that can be built based on rational arguments supported by scientific facts and data.

Abstract

Overcoming the concept of democratic education as an effort to develop the political culture of a participating society. This research was conducted using the method of library research (library research) by collecting information from various sources, such as books, journals with a qualitative approach. The results of the study show that the ideal concept of democratic education consists of three processes, first is the existence of political literacy for the community, second is the socialization of democracy through group discussion forums (FGD), public discussion of the community. The third is to provide political experience to the people by forming a democratic community. This political experience can be carried out through political parties, social organizations, and communities to support the direct involvement of the people in the democratic process. And forming a democratic culture of a participating society is the main agenda in the process of maturing democracy.

Abstract

The problem of character education can be seen from various cases such as the failure of an institution in a school institution, the change of ministers that affects the change of curriculum, the existence of deviant behavior in the community environment that has an increasingly negative impact on a nation. This study aims to analyze the problems of the development and dynamics of character education and culture in Indonesia. This study uses literature studies. Data analysis techniques are collecting, reducing, presenting and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that good character development will encourage generations to grow and commit to doing various things in a better and more progressive direction. To realize the national mission, civic education is very important to be an aspect of study in shaping the personality of citizens. Civic education is regulated as a subject of learning in improving the abilities of each generation to become superior, participatory, honest, noble and responsible human beings. The development of the direction and objectives of character education is very crucial in preventing multidimensional crises and the decline in moral values that can damage the quality of the next generation and the implementation of transformation in an ideal and progressive direction.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how the integration of digital literacy and financial literacy into the Pancasila education course can foster students' digital-financial intelligence in addressing the negative impacts of online gambling. Employing a phenomenological approach, the research delves into students' lived experiences related to online gambling addiction. The findings reveal several key points: (1) students’ encounters with online gambling are significantly influenced by a lack of financial literacy, digital literacy, and moral resilience; (2) both digital and financial literacy play crucial roles in mitigating this issue by cultivating digital-financial intelligence; (3) the integration of digital and financial literacy into Pancasila education has proven effective in shaping students’ digital-financial awareness and guiding them to recognize the dangers of online gambling, manage their finances wisely, and behave ethically in alignment with Pancasila values; (4) furthermore, the development of a more practical and contextually relevant curriculum is vital for sustainably addressing this issue; and (5) the study strongly recommends a deeper integration of digital and financial literacy within the Pancasila education curriculum, along with the inclusion of materials that are relevant to the current digital social phenomena faced by students. Through this approach, students will be better equipped to navigate the digital world with wisdom, responsibility, and ethical awareness.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji permasalahan karakter komunikasi politik sejauh mana ideologi politik tercermin dalam komunikasi politik para kader. Sehingga perlu untuk melakukan penguatan karakter komunikasi politik yang sesuai dengan prinsip dan nilai perjuangan partai. Maka, akan menimbulkan potensi perbedaan antara komunikasi politik kader partai di tingkat pusat dengan realitas yang terjadi di daerah. Tujuan penelitian melihat nilai-nilai Ideologis Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan, karakter komunikasi politik berbasis ideologi dapat diterapkan secara efektif dalam konteks partai politik, dan Bentuk-bentuk penguatan karakter komunikasi politik Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan dikenal sebagai partai nasionalis. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. In-depth interview dengan narasumber pengurus dan kader Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan, akademisi (pengamat politik), dan Anggota Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Daerah Sulawesi Selatan Fraksi Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penguatan karakter komunikasi politik Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan berdasarkan nilai ideologis partai mencakup penguatan identitas nasionalisme, politik kerakyatan, dan keadilan sosial bagi keberpihakan pada wong cilik mencirikan ideologi Pancasila 1 Juni 1945 dan Marhaenisme. Kesimpulan penelitian ini memberikan gambaran upaya menjaga kesinambungan nilai-nilai ideologis partai dan karakter komunikasi politik Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has significantly reconstructed social, cultural, and educational structures, thereby requiring the strengthening of ethical values and integrity from an early age. This study aims to explore the urgency of character development in the digital age and the role of character education in shaping a generation that is not only technologically competent but also has integrity. The method used is a qualitative approach through literature review by examining various relevant sources and documents. The results of the study indicate that the integration of Pancasila values and local wisdom in character education is crucial for fostering morality, integrity, and critical thinking skills amid the prevalence of hoaxes and cyberbullying. The roles of parents and educators are critical in guiding the healthy use of technology. Furthermore, strengthening soft skills such as communication, collaboration, and adaptability is necessary to navigate the dynamics of the digital world. In conclusion, collaboration between schools, families, and communities in integrating character education, digital literacy, and soft skills development in a holistic manner is key to producing a generation that is morally resilient and digitally competent.

Abstract

Perkembangan globalisasi dalam bidang Teknologi, Informasi, dan Komunikasi semakin pesat dan cepat. Perkembangan ini membuat semakin terbukanya perilaku masyarakat baik dalam kehidupan sosial, budaya, dan politik. Artikel ini fokus dalam kajian membangun Etika digital Kewargaan dalam Kehidupan politik warga negara. Perilaku warga negara dalam perkembangan digital mesti di barengi dengan perkembangan etika digital kewargaan terutama dalam ranah politik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui strategi membangun etika digital kewargaan yang sangat krusial untuk menjaga integritas proses politik dan demokrasi. Dan untuk mengetahui dampak minimnya etika digital kewargaan dalam kehidupan politik warga negara. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, pengumpulan data menggunakan studi literatur. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan dampak minimnya etika digital kewargaan dalam aktivitas politik karena interaksi yang bersifat politis melalui media sosial yang cenderung negatif dan provokatif, media sosial menjadi alat politik yang dapat menimbulkan perpecahan atau konflik dalam masyarakat. Kondisi semacam ini dapat menimbulkan Polarisasi politik yang semakin mendalam antara kelompok- kelompok yang memiliki identitas politik berbeda. Perlu untuk membangun strategi dengan menerapkan pilar literasi digital, seperti digital skill, digital culture, digital ethics, dan digital safety. Jika literasi digital tertanam dalam diri setiap pengguna media sosial, maka kemungkinan besar kehidupan digital akan menjadi lebih baik dan lebih beradab (civilized). Etika digitial kewargaan dengan menerapkan konsep respect other, educate your self, dan protect your self melalui civic literacy dalam pelajaran pendidikan kewarganegaraan seperti video-video singkat berisikan pesan- pesan penting yang berkaitan dengan pembangunan etika digital kewargaan sertasosialisasi dilingkungan sekolah, kampus, dan masyarakat dalam bentuk pengabdian.

Abstract

The reform of Indonesia's criminal procedure law, as outlined in the Draft Criminal Procedure Code (RKUHAP), is set to take effect in January 2026 and has sparked mixed reactions among academics, legal practitioners, and civil society. This discussion was held as a moral calling and a form of academic protest against several articles in the RKUHAP that are perceived as granting excessive power to law enforcement authorities. The primary objective of this activity was to provide a more comprehensive understanding to students and student organizations from Universitas Negeri Makassar and Universitas Hasanuddin about the dynamics of criminal law reform in Indonesia, both from theoretical perspectives and practical experiences. The method employed was an open forum, consisting of two main sessions: one featuring conceptual insights delivered by academic lecturers, and the other analyzing real-life legal cases presented by representatives from the Legal Aid Institute (LBH) Makassar. The event took place in the courtyard of the BU Building at Universitas Negeri Makassar, with active participation from students across different faculties and organizations. The outcome showed that participants gained a deeper and more complete understanding of how complex the criminal procedure reform really is. They could see both the potential for stronger human rights protection on one hand, and the risks of backsliding on due process principles on the other. Overall, this event made a significant contribution to shaping critical legal awareness among students as agents of change and to encouraging more youth involvement in advocating for legal reform in Indonesia.

Abstract

Pendidikan memiliki peran strategis dalam membangun masyarakat yang cerdas, kritis, dan sejahtera, terutama di tengah dinamika sosial yang semakin kompleks. Berangkat dari kebutuhan untuk menghadirkan model pendidikan yang lebih partisipatif dan memberdayakan, penelitian pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi efektivitas pendekatan seminar partisipatif edukatif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran dan pemahaman masyarakat mengenai hubungan antara pendidikan dan kesejahteraan sosial. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di lingkungan masyarakat Desa Terasa dengan melibatkan guru, orang tua, pemuda, dan tokoh masyarakat sebagai peserta inti. Metode partisipasi edukatif digunakan untuk memastikan bahwa peserta tidak hanya menjadi penerima informasi, tetapi juga aktor aktif yang berkontribusi melalui dialog kritis, refleksi, dan kolaborasi. Output utama dari kegiatan ini meliputi meningkatnya literasi masyarakat mengenai isu pendidikan, identifikasi masalah pendidikan yang kontekstual, serta lahirnya inisiatif lokal seperti pembentukan kelompok belajar masyarakat dan pendirian rumah literasi desa. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa model seminar partisipatif mampu mendorong pemahaman yang lebih mendalam dan komitmen nyata dari warga untuk memperbaiki kualitas pendidikan di lingkungannya. Temuan ini mengonfirmasi bahwa pendekatan pendidikan yang dialogis, kontekstual, dan berbasis pemberdayaan memiliki dampak signifikan terhadap perubahan sosial. kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan partisipasi warga dalam inisiatif pendidikan lokal sebesar pada periode kegiatan, serta memunculkan minimal dua program keberlanjutan berbasis komunitas. Dengan demikian, pendidikan berbasis partisipasi dapat menjadi strategi transformatif dalam mewujudkan masyarakat yang cerdas secara intelektual sekaligus sejahtera secara sosial dan ekonomi.
