Abstract

Lambur Luar Village is an area located in the northern part of Muara Sabak Timur District with the majority of the population working as gardeners and fishermen. In addition, one of the agricultural commodities that are quite a lot in this area is bananas. However, bananas that are directly sold tend to have a lower price and cannot be stored long after being harvested, because they will quickly undergo a ripening process that leads to spoilage. For this reason, product diversification is needed through processed bananas such as chips. In this activity assistance is carried out using the ABCD (Asset Based Community Development) method by involving community participation as the main subject to create a change. Assistance steps carried out with the community start from the stages of studying scenarios, uncovering the past (discovery), dreaming of the future (dream), planning action (design), participatory action process (define), to monitoring and evaluating activities (destiny). Departing from the potential of raw materials that are easy to obtain, processing bananas into chips with additional flavor innovations is expected to be a provision to increase skills and creativity for the community, as well as provide entrepreneurial skills to increase the selling value of bananas. The evaluation results show that the business of making banana chips is profitable because it obtains an R/C ratio of 3.4. Of course this still requires evaluation and assistance in the overall marketing strategy.

Abstract

This study analyzes fairness and transparency in palm oil weighing at PT Pelindo Era Wira Forestama, integrating operational and ethical perspectives. A qualitative-descriptive approach was employed, involving observation, semi-structured interviews with staff and smallholder farmers, and document analysis. Results indicate persistent challenges, including discrepancies in weight measurements, restricted farmer access to scale data, and an inadequate complaint mechanism, which affect economic outcomes and ethical accountability. From an Islamic economics standpoint, these practices do not fully uphold the principles of justice (‘adl) and honesty (shidq), essential for equitable transactions. Recommendations include providing real-time scale access for farmers, establishing a transparent grievance system, and conducting periodic independent audits to ensure reliability and fairness. Implementing these strategies can enhance operational integrity, build trust with farmers, and align corporate practices with ethical and religious standards. The study contributes to understanding how operational reforms can promote just, responsible, and sustainable palm oil trade.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the practice of purchasing Mobile Legends diamonds at Toko Samsul Muin Jaya from the perspective of Sharia economic law. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach through a single case study design, this research provides an in-depth analysis of digital transaction mechanisms within a rural context. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model. The findings reveal that the transaction practices are conducted informally, lacking contractual clarity, transparency of the transaction object, and adequate consumer protection. Although the shop is trusted by the local community due to its speed and affordable pricing, the practices still involve elements of gharar (uncertainty) and do not fully comply with Sharia standards. The novelty of this research lies in its direct exploration of digital buying and selling practices in rural areas, which remain underexplored in contemporary Islamic economic law literature. The findings underscore the importance of digital-based Sharia economic literacy education and the active role of religious leaders and regulators in guiding communities toward fair, transparent, and Sharia-compliant digital economic practices

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to examine the practice of areca nut trading on credit that takes place in Dusun Selamat, Lagan Tengah Village, Geragai Subdistrict, East Tanjung Jabung Regency, and to assess its conformity with Islamic law. Methodology: This research employs a qualitative method using a case study approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation to explore the real-life practices of credit-based areca nut transactions between farmers and buyers (middlemen). Main Findings: The findings show that the credit-based areca nut trading practice in Dusun Selamat fulfills the essential pillars and requirements of sale and purchase in Islam. These include mutual consent (antaradin minkum), clarity regarding the object and price, and the absence of coercion or fraud. Moreover, this practice benefits both parties, particularly in supporting farmers' economic needs. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study provides a contextual analysis of a localized credit-based trade practice in rural Indonesia and offers an Islamic legal perspective that has not been widely documented in previous literature. It contributes original insights into how Islamic principles are applied in informal agricultural transactions and highlights the permissibility (mubah) of such practices when grounded in justice, transparency, and mutual satisfaction.
