Abstract

In this study, we wanted to know the urgency of changing student behavior in learning after the Covid-19 pandemic, which has been lived for almost 2 years studying at home or hybrid, and now almost all levels of education have opened face-to-face/offline classes again. There are indications of changes in student behavior when returning to face-to-face learning at school. The purpose of this study was to describe changes in student behavior in face-to-face learning in post-pandemic classes, both in terms of knowledge, attitudes and skills. To answer this, this study used a qualitative descriptive design with interviews conducted with teachers. The result is that there are positive and negative changes in student behavior at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah level. Changes in post-pandemic student behavior must be understood by teachers, parents, and the students themselves so that learning can be carried out better. Technology can indeed facilitate human work, but at least until now technology has not been able to completely replace the teacher's task as face-to-face educators.

Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in shaping democratic character in students, especially within madrasahs. Democratic character, which encompasses values such as freedom of expression, deliberation, equality, and social responsibility, is essential for developing individuals capable of active participation in community life. Madrasahs, as institutions integrating religious and general education, hold a strategic role in instilling these characteristics. An integrative learning approach, particularly in science subjects, proves effective in internalizing democratic values. Instruction involving discussion, collaboration, and problem-solving enables students to think critically, appreciate differing opinions, and collaborate in decision-making. Additionally, extracurricular activities serve as an important means for students to practice democratic values. However, implementing democratic character in madrasahs faces challenges, such as students' diverse backgrounds and limited facilities. Therefore, there is a need for continuous improvement in teacher training and facility enhancement to ensure more effective democratic education.

Abstract

The parking management system at Muara Sabak Barat Traditional Market applies a profit-sharing scheme between the parking operators and the local government. This study aims to analyze the compatibility of this system with Islamic economic concepts, particularly mudharabah and musyarakah, and to evaluate its impact on the local economy. A qualitative approach was employed using observation, interviews, and document analysis. The findings indicate that the profit-sharing system bears similarities to Islamic economic principles but does not fully reflect the values of justice and balance. The profit distribution tends to favor the local government, while the responsibility for losses is not proportionally shared. Moreover, transparency in the management of parking funds remains inadequate. From a local economic perspective, the system contributes to job creation for parking attendants but has not significantly improved the income of market traders. This study recommends enhancing transparency in parking revenue reporting, implementing stricter supervision to prevent fund leakage, and revising the profit-sharing scheme to ensure a fairer distribution among stakeholders. Digitalization in parking monitoring is also suggested as a solution to improve accountability. With these improvements, traditional market parking management is expected to become more efficient, transparent, and sustainable in accordance with Islamic economic principles.

Abstract

In essence, every individual who performs work should receive compensation for what has been done so that neither party suffers any loss. This is in line with a work agreement that is usually made between two or more parties. The provision of wages (ujrah) should be based on a contractual agreement, as this forms a working relationship between the worker and the employer, outlining the rights and obligations of each party. In this study, the researcher found irregularities in wage payments, such as delayed payments to employees—sometimes exceeding the agreed pay date—and a lack of punctuality in payment schedules established at the beginning of the agreement. This results in a lack of transparency between the employee and the Pertashop owner. This research aims to explain and analyze the wage payment system applied at Pertashop from the perspective of Islamic economic law, focusing on a Pertashop located in Pandan Lagan Village. The research uses a qualitative method. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews with the business owner and employees, observation, and documentation. This study is an empirical sociological field research. The findings indicate that, in general, the wage payment system at Pertashop has met several fundamental aspects of Islamic economic law, such as the existence of a mutually agreed employment contract and clear wage nominal. However, several issues were identified, such as delayed payments, lack of transparency in financial records, and the absence of a legally binding written contract. There is no written agreement or employment contract between the business owner and the employee, resulting in a lack of legal clarity in the working relationship. The unclear status of workers' rights—such as leave, attendance, and mechanisms for wage deductions—has the potential to cause disputes. This lack of clarity may lead to injustice and contradicts the principles of the ujrah contract in Islamic law, which guarantees clarity and certainty in the payment for services rendered. Therefore, this research recommends an improvement of the wage payment system at Pertashop by fully adopting the principles of Islamic economic law, such as clarifying the employment contract in written form, ensuring timely payments, and enhancing financial transparency and accountability.
