Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of poverty and income on divorce among people in Jambi Province. The divorce rate among people in Jambi Province for the 2018-2021 period has increased. In 2018 the divorce rate in Jambi Province was 4183, in 2019 there were 4979, in 2020 there were 7587, in 2021 there were 10,000 divorce rates. This research is a quantitative research using the Ex Post Facto research method conducted in 10 regencies/cities in Jambi Province in period 2018-2021. The research data is secondary data obtained from publication data by the Jambi Central Bureau of Statistics. The data was analyzed by Panel Data Regression Test through Eviews 12 software. The results showed that simultaneously poverty and income affect divorce in people in Jambi Province with a probability value of f-statistic, namely 0.007123 <0.05, also seen from the R-Square value, which is 0.0234, meaning that poverty and income contribute to influencing divorce by 23.4% and the rest influenced by other factors outside of this study. Poverty partially has no effect on divorce as evidenced by the probability value of the t-statistic, namely 0.0548 > 0.05. Income partially has a significant effect on divorce with a probability value of t-statistic 0.0411 <0.05.

Abstract

This research aims to determine and analyze the effectiveness of law enforcement against traffic violations with Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) in the Jambi City Resort Police area and the obstacles to implementing Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (E-TLE) in enforcing traffic regulations in Jambi City. This research was conducted at Jambi Police. The approach used is a descriptive qualitative approach. The resulting data will be in the form of descriptions in the form of words and images and does not emphasize numbers. Research data was obtained by conducting interviews with police, community offenders and the general public. The informants who were used as subjects included: 3 Jambi City traffic police officers, 4 community offenders, and 4 members of the general public. The results of the research are that law enforcement against traffic violations in the city of Jambi through electronic traffic tickets or Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) based on Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation is carried out according to the rules but is not enough to be said to be effective. Inhibiting factors in implementing the E-TLE program include: 1. Law enforcement, 2. Facilities and infrastructure factors, 3. Community factors.

Abstract

This study investigates the factors contributing to the limited engagement of students enrolled in Pancasila and Civic Education programs at Universitas Jambi in organizational elections. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, the research utilizes interviews, observations, and documentation for data collection, with subsequent analysis involving data collection, reduction, presentation, and verification. Key informants include supervisory lecturers, student organization leaders, and Pancasila and Civic Education students. Findings reveal persistently low participation among Civics students in the 2023 student organization elections, attributed to various implementation challenges such as inadequate adherence to governing regulations, insufficient preparedness of the organizing committee, external interference, and conflicts between students and faculty members. Contributing factors to low participation encompass conflicting interests, political strategies, student awareness levels, communication effectiveness, geographical distance, external commitments, and perceived lack of impact or benefit. The study recommends increased efforts by the governing body to enhance student engagement through proactive social media campaigns and urges Pancasila and Civics Education students to heighten their awareness and involvement in electoral processes.

Abstract

The service activity is motivated by the fact that the political participation of the younger generation is still lacking and this needs to be remembered considering the very large number of segments in the 2024 election. This activity aims to provide insight into political education to the younger generation to increase awareness and increase the political participation of the younger generation and so that it is not easy influencing hoax news that developed in the year leading up to the election. Activities were carried out in the form of offline and dare public lectures via YouTube and Zoommeeting on September 18 2023. Activities were carried out in two stages, namely planning and implementation. Activities can broaden students' insight as young millennials and new voters regarding politics are increasing, thus increasing their awareness in politics. Public lectures also strengthen the political understanding of the younger generation so that they are not easily influenced by hoax news related to certain issues by first checking information about the issue. Through this activity, it is hoped that it can increase the political understanding and awareness of the younger generation. Kegiatan pengabdian dilatarbelakangi oleh fakta bahwa partisipasi politik generasi muda masih kurang dan perlu ditingkatkan mengingat jumlah segmentasi ini yang sangat besar pada pemilu 2024. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan wawasan pendidikan politik kepada generasi muda untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan meningkatkan partisipasi politik generasi muda serta agar tidak mudah terpengaruh berita hoaks yang berkembang pada tahun menjelang pemilu. Kegiatan dilakukan dalam bentuk kuliah umum secara luring dan daring melalui Youtube dan Zoommeeting pada 18 September 2023. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan dua tahap yakni perencanaan dan pelaksanaan. Kegiatan dapat menambah wawasan mahasiswa sebagai generasi muda milenial dan pemilih pemula terkait politik bertambah sehingga meningkatkan kesadaran mereka dalam berpolitik. Kuliah umum juga memperkuat pemahaman politik generasi muda agar tidak mudah terpengaruh berita hoaks terkait isu-isu tertentu dengan terlebih dahulu melakukan pengecekkan informasi tentang isu tersebut. Melalui kegiatan ini, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran politik generasi muda.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran tema suara demokrasi dalam membangun kesadaran politik siswa kelas 12 di SMAN 2 Kerinci. Metode yang diterapkan adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan tema suara demokrasi secara signifikan meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap, dan perilaku politik siswa. Siswa belajar untuk berpartisipasi aktif dalam proses demokrasi, menghargai perbedaan pendapat, serta menyadari hak dan kewajiban mereka sebagai warga negara. Faktor-faktor pendorong yang teridentifikasi antara lain keterlibatan aktif siswa, pembelajaran praktis, dan kolaborasi antara guru dan siswa. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi dalam pengembangan pendidikan demokrasi di sekolah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran pemerintah desa dalam penyelesaian sengketa tanah di Desa Muara Delang, Kabupaten Merangin, berdasarkan Peraturan Menteri Agraria No. 11 Tahun 2016 tentang Penyelesaian Kasus Pertanahan. Masalah sengketa tanah di Desa Muara Delang, khususnya terkait lahan asrama polri, muncul akibat penyalahgunaan wewenang oleh Kepala Desa periode 2009-2015 yang memperjual belikan tanah negara untuk kepentingan pribadi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Wawancara dilakukan dengan beberapa pihak, termasuk kepala desa dan masyarakat yang bersengketa, untuk memperoleh gambaran tentang akar permasalahan dan langkah penyelesaiannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemerintah desa memiliki peran penting dalam menjadi mediator antara pihak-pihak yang bersengketa. Proses penyelesaian sengketa dilakukan melalui diskusi dan musyawarah, namun seringkali dihadapkan pada tantangan, seperti kurangnya dokumen resmi dan sikap tidak kooperatif dari pihak-pihak tertentu. Penyelesaian sengketa yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah desa diharapkan dapat memberikan keadilan dan kepastian hukum bagi masyarakat terkait kepemilikan tanah.

Abstract

Integrity is a fundamental attitude that must be possessed by every individual, particularly by students of the 2023 cohort of the Civic Education (PPKn) program at Universitas Jambi, given their role as future leaders of the nation who are expected to uphold high moral and personal standards. This study aims to examine the influence of learning outcomes in anti-corruption education and social interaction on student integrity. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method involving 95 respondents. Data were analyzed using inferential statistical techniques to test the relationships between variables. The results indicate that learning outcomes in anti-corruption education and social interaction significantly affect student integrity, with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). The combined influence of these two variables on integrity is 34.6%, while the remaining variance is attributed to factors beyond the scope of this study. These findings suggest that the better the learning outcomes in anti-corruption education and the more active the students' social interactions, the higher their level of integrity. The study highlights the importance of integrating anti-corruption values into the educational process and strengthening social interaction as strategic efforts to foster student character development rooted in integrity.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to see how the essence of building national integration values through civic education among students is based on the urgency of national integration values which need to always be implemented in everyday life with the aim of avoiding division and disintegration. One of the achievements in the citizenship education course is transmitting the values of tolerance, insight into diversity, and instilling the value of nationalism with the ultimate goal of creating complete national integration. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, the data collected is class observation data and literature that supports the concept of national integration. Answering the formulation in this study, the research results obtained were that the researcher found three main essences in building national integration through civics courses in students, first, namely as a means of building unity, where campuses consisting of students who have different backgrounds can unite in one goal of education, second, through citizenship education students can increase their nationalism and understanding of nationality, and third, students are trained to be able to increase tolerance and solidarity among students and teach them that differences do not make us different but it is division that will make us different.Keywords: National integration, civics education, PPKn students.
