Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis nilai-nilai karakter yang terkandung dalam tradisi Kenduri Sko masyarakat adat Desa Tarutung Kerinci. Kenduri Sko merupakan kegiatan Pembersihan benda-benda pusaka dengan ritual-ritual tertentu, dan pada puncaknya adalah kegiatan upacara penobatan ninik mamak atau anggota adat yang baru. Hal ini telah dilaksanakan dan ditransmisikan secara turun temurun bahkan sampai saat ini. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah Kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi, dimana sebuah kebudayaan dianalisis berdasarkan aspek-aspek yang berkaitan dengan budaya tersebut secara spesifik, teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah melalui observasi dan wawancara mendalam kepada informan yang dianggap paling mengetahui terkait tradisi kenduri sko, diantaranya yaitu tokoh adat, ninik mamak, dan masyarakat sekitar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada empat  nilai karakter yang terkandung dalam tradisi Kenduri Sko diantaranya pertama yaitu nilai tanggung jawab, dimana pada nilai ini tanggung jawab terhadap pelaksanaan tradisi diembankan kepada para pemangku adat, kedua tanggung jawab terhadap pemeliharaan tradisi, nilai ini diembankan kepada generasi muda. Kedua nilai yang berhasil dieksplorasi adalah nilai toleransi, dimana dalam pelaksanaan tradisi ini memiliki latar belakang ekonomi, status social dan kedudukan ditengah-tengah masyarakat, namun tetap melaksanakan tradisi atas dasar persatuan, ketiga yaitu nilai karakter kecintaan terhadap tradisi dan leluhur, dan keempat adalah nilai peduli sosial, hal ini ditunjukkan dengan masyarakat bahu membahu bergotong royong dalam pelaksaan tradisi agar berjalan dengan lancar.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low implementation of GMKI Jambi's programs in fostering Christian religious character values in Jambi City. This study aims to identify the inhibiting factors in building Christian religious character values within GMKI Jambi. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach. The informants involved in this study consist of regular members, board members of GMKI Jambi, and a pastor from the Huria Kristen Batak Protestant (HKBP) church. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. Furthermore, the data analysis techniques utilized involve data collection, data reduction, and data display. The results of the study indicate several key factors: low member participation in GMKI Jambi activities, internal dynamics among board members, an inability to balance time between academic responsibilities and organizational involvement, a lack of effort in engaging members, numerous unimplemented work programs, and low motivation among organizational leaders.

Abstract

Integrity is a fundamental attitude that must be possessed by every individual, particularly by students of the 2023 cohort of the Civic Education (PPKn) program at Universitas Jambi, given their role as future leaders of the nation who are expected to uphold high moral and personal standards. This study aims to examine the influence of learning outcomes in anti-corruption education and social interaction on student integrity. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method involving 95 respondents. Data were analyzed using inferential statistical techniques to test the relationships between variables. The results indicate that learning outcomes in anti-corruption education and social interaction significantly affect student integrity, with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). The combined influence of these two variables on integrity is 34.6%, while the remaining variance is attributed to factors beyond the scope of this study. These findings suggest that the better the learning outcomes in anti-corruption education and the more active the students' social interactions, the higher their level of integrity. The study highlights the importance of integrating anti-corruption values into the educational process and strengthening social interaction as strategic efforts to foster student character development rooted in integrity.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the factors influencing the formation of disciplined character among street vendors in complying with Regional Regulation Number 12 of 2016 after the enforcement actions at Talang Banjar Market, Jambi City, as well as to analyze the government’s efforts in fostering disciplined character as a manifestation of legal awareness among street vendors. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation from local government documents, enforcement archives, official reports, activity photographs, and previous studies related to street vendors. The informants in this study were divided into three categories: primary informants (street vendors), key informants (the Legal Division of the Regional Secretariat of Jambi City or members of the Jambi City Regional House of Representatives involved in drafting Regional Regulation Number 12 of 2016), and additional informants (community members around Talang Banjar Market, Jambi City). The collected data were analyzed using qualitative data analysis techniques, including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was tested through source, technique, and time triangulation.The results of the study indicate that the disciplined character of street vendors at Talang Banjar Market, Jambi City, after the enforcement actions is still low due to economic factors, long-standing trading habits, and the low internalization of legal values. Meanwhile, government efforts through socialization, relocation, business facilities, and enforcement actions have not been fully effective because they still focus on physical control measures and have not optimally built legal awareness and a sustainable culture of discipline among street vendors.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to see how the essence of building national integration values through civic education among students is based on the urgency of national integration values which need to always be implemented in everyday life with the aim of avoiding division and disintegration. One of the achievements in the citizenship education course is transmitting the values of tolerance, insight into diversity, and instilling the value of nationalism with the ultimate goal of creating complete national integration. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, the data collected is class observation data and literature that supports the concept of national integration. Answering the formulation in this study, the research results obtained were that the researcher found three main essences in building national integration through civics courses in students, first, namely as a means of building unity, where campuses consisting of students who have different backgrounds can unite in one goal of education, second, through citizenship education students can increase their nationalism and understanding of nationality, and third, students are trained to be able to increase tolerance and solidarity among students and teach them that differences do not make us different but it is division that will make us different.Keywords: National integration, civics education, PPKn students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh belum maksimalnya penerapan nilai religius dalam pembinaan karakter anak asuh di Panti Asuhan Yayasan Al-Fatih Ihsan Jambi. Meskipun kegiatan keagamaan telah dilaksanakan secara rutin, masih terdapat anak asuh yang belum mampu menerapkan nilai religius secara mandiri dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pembinaan yang berkelanjutan agar nilai religius dapat tertanam dan membentuk karakter anak asuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi nilai religius dalam pembinaan karakter anak di Panti Asuhan Yayasan Al-Fatih Ihsan Jambi serta mengidentifikasi kendala yang dihadapi dalam proses penerapannya. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Panti Asuhan Yayasan Al-Fatih Ihsan Jambi dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Informan penelitian terdiri dari anak asuh, pengasuh, dan ketua yayasan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi nilai religius dalam pembinaan karakter anak di Panti Asuhan Yayasan Al-Fatih Ihsan Jambi dilakukan melalui kegiatan keagamaan seperti salat berjamaah, mengaji, hafalan surah pendek, pembacaan doa harian, dan pembiasaan perilaku disiplin serta bertanggung jawab. Implementasi nilai religius diterapkan melalui lima indikator yaitu keyakinan, peribadatan, penghayatan, pengetahuan, dan pengamalan. Penerapan nilai religius tersebut memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap pembentukan karakter anak asuh, seperti meningkatnya kedisiplinan, tanggung jawab, dan sikap sopan santun. Namun, pelaksanaannya belum sepenuhnya berjalan optimal karena masih terdapat anak asuh yang kurang konsisten dalam melaksanakan ibadah tanpa pengawasan pengasuh. Adapun kendala yang dihadapi meliputi rendahnya kesadaran diri anak, kurangnya pemahaman makna ibadah, serta pengaruh lingkungan dan latar belakang anak yang berbeda-beda.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis nilai-nilai kearifan lokal dalam tradisi upacara Turun Mandi pada masyarakat Desa Siulak Gedang Kabupaten Kerinci serta mengidentifikasi tantangan pelestariannya di tengah pengaruh modernisasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dengan 7 informan yang terdiri dari tokoh adat, masyarakat, dan perangkat desa. Data dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman dengan triangulasi teknik, sumber, dan waktu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tradisi upacara Turun Mandi mengandung enam nilai kearifan lokal: nilai menghormati, keselarasan, keseimbangan, interaksi, pelestarian lingkungan, dan keindahan. Tantangan pelestarian meliputi menurunnya pemahaman masyarakat, pengaruh modernisasi, dan minimnya dokumentasi budaya.
