Abstract

Hospitality is the largest and fastest growing industry in the world. The hospitality industry offers the best service and the best foods which provide in hotel. Many ways are done to increase the quality of service and food in hotel to get customer’s satisfaction. A hotel has many departments for its operational activities. One of them is Food and Beverage Department. Food and Beverage Department has important responsibility to maintain the quality of food and beverage service and product. Food and Beverage Department has many subdivisions that are responsible for maintaining the duties of each division. Consumer behavior is the decision-making process by consumers in selecting, buying, using, and taking advantage of product service or experience to satisfy consumers’ needs and desires. In this research, the author will discuss Customer Behavior at the Hotel JW Marriott Medan that aims to know more about customer characteristics and how to deal with them to give customer satisfaction. Based on the research, the authors also discussed about the regular guest who stayed in our hotel, about what they expect in five star hotels and how the staff look affect the perception of the hotel that in the end hotel to all these solutions that might be used as a input to the hotel. This research is expected to give a boost for hotel to resolve the problem and improve the quality of service the banquet aims to get customer satisfaction. Abstract

Social transformation is a complex process involving fundamental changes in the social, cultural, and normative structures of society. In this context, effective leadership is key to driving positive and sustainable change. This study explores Nehemiah’s role as a symbol of social transformation through approaches of leadership, collaboration, and community participation. This qualitative case study analyzes Nehemiah’s strategy in rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem while revitalizing the identity of the Israeli community. The results show that Nehemiah’s success lay not only in physical reconstruction but also in strengthening the collective spirit through the community’s in-depth observation of the situation, resource mobilization, and active community collaboration. This approach integrates values of social justice, spirituality, and community empowerment, which are relevant to address modern social challenges such as injustice and poverty. The study recommends that today’s leaders adopt a values-based approach that prioritizes thorough situational analysis, active participation, and sustainable social transformation strategies so that Nehemiah’s historical experience can inspire effective and meaningful social change. Dalam konteks ini, kepemimpinan yang efektif menjadi kunci untuk mendorong perubahan positif dan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi peran Nehemia sebagai simbol transformasi sosial melalui pendekatan kepemimpinan, kolaborasi, dan partisipasi masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif berdasarkan kajian kasus untuk menganalisis strategi Nehemia dalam membangun kembali tembok Yerusalem sekaligus merevitalisasi identitas komunitas Israel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan Nehemia tidak hanya terletak pada rekonstruksi fisik tetapi juga pada penguatan semangat kolektif, melalui observasi mendalam masyarakat terhadap situasi, mobilisasi sumber daya, dan kolaborasi aktif masyarakat. Pendekatan ini mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai keadilan sosial, spiritualitas, dan pemberdayaan komunitas, yang relevan untuk diterapkan dalam menghadapi tantangan sosial modern seperti ketidakadilan dan kemiskinan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar pemimpin masa kini mengadopsi pendekatan berbasis nilai yang mengutamakan analisis situasi secara menyeluruh, partisipasi aktif, dan strategi transformasi masyarakat yang berkelanjutan, sehingga pengalaman historis dari Nehemia dapat menjadi inspirasi dalam menciptakan perubahan sosial yang efektif dan bermakna.
