Abstract

This research is motivated by the need for student character development according to the Pancasila Student Profile at SMPN 6 Solok City through the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5), where initial observations show a decline in positive character such as lateness and lack of student enthusiasm, so that an analysis of its application is needed to foster the values ​​of faith, noble morals, global diversity, mutual cooperation, independence, creativity, and critical reasoning. The purpose of this study was to analyze the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) in the character building of Pancasila students in SMPN 6 Solok City. The study involved key informants including students, teachers, curriculum representatives and P5 coordinators, as well as additional informants such as parents, school committees, and administrative staff. The analysis followed the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, encompassing four main steps: data collection (observation, interviews, documentation), data reduction (summarizing and focusing on themes), data presentation (narrative/text), and drawing conclusions/verification. In this study, the results showed that the implementation of P5 had a positive effect on the formation of student character, marked by increased spiritual awareness, politeness, cooperation, creativity and critical thinking, although challenges in discipline and cleanliness still remained. In this study, suggestions included strengthening synergy between schools, teachers, parents and ongoing support for the optimization of P5.

Abstract

Minat belajar memainkan peranan krusial dalam menentukan kesuksesan siswa dalam meraih tujuan. Ketertarikan belajar memiliki hubungan erat dengan kemampuan numerasi siswa. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi seberapa besar dampak ketertarikan belajar terhadap kemampuan numerik siswa di kelas IX di SMP Negeri 4 Kubung. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini mencakup seluruh siswa kelas IX di SMP Negeri 4 Kubung yang terdaftar pada tahun 2024/2025, yakni sebanyak 67 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner dan data rapor sekolah. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linear sederhana. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: ketertarikan belajar dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05 menghasilkan pengaruh minat belajar terhadap kemampuan numerasi sebesar 12,7% dengan nilai t_hitung sebesar 16,579 > t_tabel sebesar 3,068 maka disimpulkan bahwa hipotesis diterima. Dan 87,3% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lainnya. Temuan penelitian yang dilakukan mengenai pengaruh minat belajar terhadap kemampuan numerasi pada kelas IX di SMP Negeri 4 Kubung menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh ketertarikan belajar terhadap kemampuan numerasi, namun pengaruhnya masih terbatas. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan usaha yang lebih menyeluruh, seperti peningkatan metode pembelajaran, dukungan lingkungan belajar, serta peran aktif guru dan orang tua, sehingga kemampuan numerasi siswa dapat berkembang secara optimal.

Abstract

Social Studies learning in the eighth-grade curriculum at SMP Negeri 4 Kubung requires active participation and the ability of students to engage dynamically with social phenomena. However, traditional teaching methods still dominate, leading to a more passive approach among students, despite the availability of technological resources such as smartboards at school. This study aims to create a smartboard-based learning media to facilitate interactive and collaborative learning experiences for eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 4 Kubung. This study uses a Research and Development (R&D) methodology with the ADDIE model. This study focuses on class VIII.2 and social studies teachers. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, expert validation questionnaires for content, media, and language, and a practicality response survey. The results show that the developed smartboard-based learning media is categorized as highly valid based on expert assessments. The practicality test shows that both teachers and students consider the media very practical. The use of this media has been proven effective in increasing active participation and enthusiasm for learning among students through its interactive features. Future researchers are advised to develop similar smartboard media for other eighth-grade social studies materials such as social dynamics or globalization.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low active learning participation of students in Social Studies at SMP Negeri 9 Kubung. It is suspected that this is due to the students' lack of understanding of their learning styles, making it difficult for them to grasp and comprehend the lessons effectively. The aim of this study is to determine how much influence students' learning styles have on their active learning in Social Studies at SMP Negeri 9 Kubung. In this research, the researcher used a quantitative approach. The population of the study consisted of all students enrolled in SMP Negeri 9 Kubung in the 2024/2025 academic year, totaling 40 students. The sample was taken using the total sampling technique, as the sample included all elements of the population. The analysis technique used was simple linear regression analysis. The results of the study showed that the students' learning style (X) had a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05 and a t-value of 7.558 > t-table value of 2.024, indicating that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. Based on the results, it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant influence of students' learning styles on their active learning in Social Studies at SMP Negeri 9 Kubung. The influence of the learning style variable (X) on tactive learning variable (Y) is 60.1%.

Abstract

Emotional intelligence is a critical student capability that supports the learning process by enabling individuals to recognize, understand, and manage their emotions effectively. This study aims to examine the influence of emotional intelligence on students’ learning independence in Social Studies (IPS) among Grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 6 Kota Solok. A quantitative approach with a survey method was employed. The population consisted of all Grade VIII students in the 2023/2024 academic year, totaling 122 individuals, with a sample of 94 students selected using proportional random sampling. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The results indicate that emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on learning independence, as evidenced by a calculated t-value of 8.141, which exceeds the critical t-value of 1.661 at a 0.05 significance level. Emotional intelligence accounts for 41.9% of the variance in learning independence. These findings suggest that higher levels of emotional intelligence are associated with greater learning independence among students. Therefore, fostering emotional intelligence should be an integral component of educational strategies aimed at enhancing students’ academic autonomy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih rendahnya sikap positif siswa dalam proses pembelajaran, seperti kurangnya motivasi, disiplin, dan partisipasi aktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran gamifikasi terhadap sikap positif pada siswa kelas VIII SMPN 4 Kubung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode asosiatif, populasi yang diambil adalah siswa kelas VIII.1 dan VIII.2 di SMPN 4 Kubung pada tahun ajaran 2025/2026, berjumlah 43 orang. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 43 siswa dengan teknik total sampling. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji asumsi klasik dan regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara gamifikasi terhadap sikap positif siswa dengan nilai signifikan 0,000 < 0,05 dan nilai t hitung 6,505 > t tabel 1,681. Koefisien determinasi sebesar 50,8% menunjukkan bahwa gamifikasi berkontribusi terhadap sikap positif siswa. Dengan demikian, gamifikasi dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif model pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan sikap positif siswa.
