Abstract

The rapid development of the automotive sector in electronic systems is accompanied by an increase in injector types that have different numbers of holes, especially on motorbikes. It is hoped that the different number of holes in the injector will have certain advantages which are expected to improve its performance. This research aims to determine the effect of using variations in the number of holes in the injector and the octane value of the fuel on petrol motor power. The research method uses experiments with descriptive analysis. The independent variable is the number of holes in the injector, 4, 6, and 8 and the octane value of the fuel is 90 and 92. In the power testing process using engine speed from 1000 rpm to 9000 rpm and the bound variable is the power. The results of this research show that there is a significant influence with the greatest power on the type of injector with 4 holes and fuel with an octane value (RON) of 92, namely 6.072 [kW] at an engine speed of 6500 [rpm]. When using fuel with an octane rating (RON) of 90, the greatest power in the injector type with 6 holes is 5,451 [kW] at an engine speed of 7000 [rpm]. In general, all types of injectors can be used, because the difference in power produced is not too large.

Abstract

Spark plugs and gasoline are two essential elements in motor vehicles, whether they are two-wheeled, three-wheeled, or four-wheeled. Spark plugs come in various types, just like gasoline, which has many different variants with varying quality levels. The purpose of this research is to determine the differences in power output and torque when using standard spark plugs, platinum spark plugs, and iridium spark plugs, along with RON 90 and RON 92 gasoline from PT P and PT B in a 125cc fuel-injected motor. Data collection for this research was conducted using the observation method. In the test results, there were differences in Power and Torque. When using Pertalite fuel (RON 90) with platinum spark plugs, the power output was 10.03 HP (8000 RPM), and the torque was 10.37 Nm (6000 RPM). On the other hand, when using BP 90 fuel (RON 90) with iridium spark plugs, the power output was 10.53 HP (8000 RPM), and the torque was 10.50 Nm (6000 RPM).

Abstract

Introduction: Central venous catheterization (CVC) is frequently required in intensive care units (ICUs) for administering medications, fluids, and monitoring central venous pressure. However, CVC insertion can lead to complications such as arterial puncture, hematoma formation, and pneumothorax. Ultrasound guidance has been advocated to reduce these complications, but its effectiveness in the ICU setting remains debated. This study compared the complication rates of anatomical landmark-guided versus ultrasound-guided CVC insertion in ICU patients. Methods: A prospective cohort study was conducted in the ICU of a tertiary care hospital. Patients requiring CVC were divided into two groups: anatomical landmark-guided and ultrasound-guided insertion. The primary outcome was the incidence of complications, including arterial puncture, hematoma, and pneumothorax. Secondary outcomes included cannulation time and the number of cannulation attempts. Results: A total of 39 patients were included in the study. The incidence of complications was significantly lower in the ultrasound-guided group (2 complications) compared to the anatomical landmark group (7 complications) (p=0.017). The most common complication was arterial puncture, occurring in 7 patients in the anatomical landmark group and 2 patients in the ultrasound-guided group. Conclusion: Ultrasound guidance significantly reduces the risk of complications during CVC insertion in the ICU. This technique should be considered the standard of care for CVC insertion in this setting.

Abstract

Introduction: Tracheal stenosis, a narrowing of the trachea, can pose significant challenges for airway management, especially during tracheal reconstruction surgery. This case report presents the successful management of a complex airway in a patient with severe post-tracheostomy tracheal stenosis. Case presentation: A 28-year-old male presented with severe tracheal stenosis following a tracheostomy two years prior. The patient was scheduled for tracheal reconstruction surgery. Intraoperatively, the initial challenge was the poor patency of the existing tracheostomy tube, necessitating its replacement with an uncuffed endotracheal tube (ETT). Further airway challenges arose during the stenting procedure, requiring innovative solutions to maintain airway patency while facilitating surgical access. Conclusion: This case highlights the critical role of flexible and innovative airway management techniques in tracheal reconstruction surgery. Meticulous planning, close collaboration between the surgical and anesthesia teams, and the ability to adapt to unexpected intraoperative challenges are essential for successful outcomes in these complex cases.

Abstract

Barbershop Cool Cuts Everyday provides a different concept from most barbershops, taking the concept from the music, fashion and skateboard communities with a target market among young people. Not only providing haircut services but also providing hair health consultation services. The main problem of Cool Cuts Everyday customers still come from certain communities, the target customers of Cool Cuts Everyday are at least 10-20 people per day. SWOT analysis is a methodical way to identify various aspects to determine a company's approach. An approach to strategic planning that evaluates the prospects, threats, vulnerabilities, and strengths of a company's projects or specializations. The total strengths and weaknesses of the company's internal environment and its external opportunities and threats are among the elements that go into a SWOT analysis. This study uses a case study methodology. Cool Cuts Everydaymust maintain the quality of products/services (haircut results, hair care and styling), cleanliness, comfort and closeness to customers and continue to develop skills and knowledge about the world of barbershop, both in the cutting process, tools used and haircut models. Opening branches or moving locations closer to the main road. Some of the causes of this are that the promotion carried out by Cool Cuts Everyday is not optimal, both online and offline, customers only know about Cool Cuts Everyday based on recommendations from friends to friends, the place/location of Cool Cuts Everyday is difficult to find or visit because it is in a coffee shop area (UD Mitra), besides that the area of ??Cool Cuts Everyday is only 10x5 meters.

Abstract

Buku matematika tentang integral yang ada saat ini, banyak beredar dalam bentuk abstrak. Siswa diberi materi integral dengan rumus-rumus dan contoh soal, yang kemudian siswa dilatih secara drill agar terampil menyelesaikan soal tersebut. PMRI adalah salah satu pendekatan pembelajaran yang akan menggiring siswa memahami konsep matematika dengan mengkontruksi sendiri melalui pengetahuan sebelumnya yang berhubungan dengan kehidupan sehari-harinya, menemukan sendiri konsep tersebut sehingga belajarnya menjadi bermakna. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menghasilkan prototipe materi PMRI integral untuk SMA di Palembang yang valid, praktis, dan mempunyai potensi efek yang baik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (development research). Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XII IPA 1 SMA Nurul Amal Palembang , dan siswa kelas XII IPA C dan D SMA Negeri 3 Palembang. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara dengan pakar, observasi pelaksanaan prototipe, angket kepada siswa dan dokumen pekerjaan siswa pada latihan di prototipe. Semua data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil analisis data menyimpulkan bahwa hasil pengembangan prototipe materi PMRI integral untuk SMA menggunakan pendekatan PMRI di Palembang valid berdasarkan isi, bahasa, dan kesesuaian konteks. Hasil Uji coba prototipe materi integral yang diberikan kepada siswa SMA Negeri 3 Palembang mempunyai efek yang potensial, yaitu siswa suka belajar dengan pendekatan PMRI, siswa aktif mengikuti pelajaran menggunakan pendekatan PMRI, dan hasil rata-rata menyelesaikan soal latihan 93,7 termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) meningkatkan sikap positif siswa terhadap mata pelajaran matematika melalui cooperative learning sebagai salah satu faktor penunjang dalam meningkatkan kemampuan siswa menyelesaiakan soal-soal kontekstual di kelas VIII1 SMP Negeri 2 Pedamaran OKI. (2) meningkatkan keaktifan siswa dalam cooperative learning sebagai salah satu faktor penunjang dalam meningkatkan kemampuan siswa menyelesaikan soal-soal kontekstual di kelas VIII1 SMP Negeri 2 Pedamaran OKI, (3) meningkatkan kemampuan siswa menyelesaiakan soal-soal kontekstual melalui cooperative learning di kelas VIII1 SMP Negeri 2 Pedamaran OKI. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebanyak 2 siklus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan angket, lembar observasi dan tes. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII1 yang berjumlah 39 orang. Dari hasil penelitian dan pembahasan diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa cooperative learning dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa menyelesaikan soal kontekstual di kelas VIII1 SMP Negeri 2 Pedamaran OKI. Abstract

Menurut Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan (KTSP), tujuan pembelajaran matematika antara lain menggunakan penalaran pada pola, membuat generalisasi, memecahkan masalah. Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan juga menyebutkan fokus dalam pembelajaran Matematika adalah pemecahan masalah terbuka dengan solusi tak tunggal, dan masalah dengan berbagai cara penyelesaian . Oleh karena itu, perlu dikembangkan soal yang dapat menimbulkan kemampuan siswa untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan soal non rutin yang valid dan praktis. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian pengembangan (development research) yang terdiri dari analisis, desain, evaluasi dan revisi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes tertulis untuk melihat valid dan praktis soal non rutin. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Xaverius 4 Palembang yang berjumlah 32 orang, dengan kesimpulan (1) prototip soal yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kriteria valid dan praktis. (2) berdasarkan proses pengembangan diperoleh bahwa prorotip perangkat soal yang dikembangkan memiliki efek potensial terhadap kemampuan siswa mengerjakan soal matematika non rutin siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Xaverius 4 Palembang. Hal ini terlihat dari hasil tes siswa dengan rata – rata 31,94 pada rentang 12 sampai 48, dengan kategori baik. Oleh karena itu soal – soal yang dikembangkan dapat digunakan. Abstract

This research aims at describing how students’ understanding on statistical concepts upon using concept map is. Subjects in this research were students who took elementary statistics. Data were collected through observation and test, and were analyzed descriptively. The result shows that using concept map helps students improve their understanding on statistical concepts. Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk (1) menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Kuantum  yang valid dan praktis untuk mengajarkan matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP ; (2) mengetahui potensial efeknya terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP. Metode penelitian terdiri dari 3 tahap yaitu (1) self evaluation, meliputi tahap analisis dan desain perangkat pembelajaran; (2) prototyping, meliputi tahap evaluasi dan revisi; dan (3) field test. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi aktivitas siswa, observasi kemampuan guru mengelola pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Kuantum, tes hasil belajar dan angket tentang tanggapan siswa terhadap pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Kuantum. Hasil observasi aktivitas siswa menunjukkan bahwa semua indikator aktivitas siswa berada dalam batas waktu toleransi yang ditetapkan artinya pembelajaran yang menggunakan perangkat dengan pendekatan Kuantum efektif. Hasil observasi kemampuan guru mengelola pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Kuantum tergolong baik. Dari tes hasil belajar pada tiap akhir pertemuan dan tes akhir seluruh materi bangun ruang sisi datar hampir semua siswa telah memenuhi KKM yang telah ditetapkan. Berdasarkan hasil angket diperoleh bahwa siswa senang pembelajaran matematika diajarkan dengan pendekatan Kuantum. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berdasarkan pendekatan Kuantum dikategorikan valid dan praktis ; (2) perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan mempunyai potensial efek terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam menguasai materi bangun ruang sisi datar.
