Abstract

Abstract Teachers play a crucial role in developing quality human resources. However, high workloads, administrative demands, and expectations from various parties can cause stress and reduce job satisfaction. The imbalance in the teacher-to-student ratio in Sumberpucung District often requires teachers to teach beyond the minimum hours. Factors such as work-life balance, work stress, and social support are considered to influence teachers' job satisfaction. This study aims to analyze the effect of work-life balance, work stress, and social support on the job satisfaction of civil servant teachers at SMPN and SMAN in Sumberpucung District. This research is causal with a quantitative approach. The population consisted of 143 civil servant teachers, and 105 respondents were selected using the Slovin formula. The sampling technique employed purposive sampling with criteria of married teachers, a minimum of 2 years of work experience, and a teaching load of at least 24 hours per week. Data were collected via questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS. The t-test results indicate that work-life balance and social support significantly affect job satisfaction, while work stress does not. The F-test shows that all three variables simultaneously influence job satisfaction. The Adjusted R² value of 0.203 indicates that the independent variables explain 20.3% of the variation in job satisfaction, while the remaining 79.7% is influenced by other factors. Keywords: Work-Life Balance, Job Stress, Social Support, Job Satisfaction

Abstract

Abstract This research wants to explore how product quality, price, and promotion influence the purchasing decisions of Stars Collections cutomers. The population in this study was Stars Collections consumer, with a sample of 85 respondent selected using a accidental sampling technique. Data collection methods used a questionnaire, while data analysis employed multiple linier regressions analysis. The results from this study reveal that, on an individual basis, product quality plays a key role in influencing purchase decisions, much like price does, whereas promotion doesn't make a difference. However, when you look at them all at once, product quality, price, and promotion combined do have a notable impact on how customers of Stars Collections decide to buy. Keywords: Product Quality, Price, And Promotion

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to examine the role of social capital and interpersonal trust in improving lecturer performance through organizational commitment at Universitas Islam Malang. This research employs a quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modelling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The sample consisted of 204 lecturers selected through proportional sampling. The results indicate that social capital has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment and lecturer performance. Interpersonal trust has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment but does not directly affect lecturer performance. Organizational commitment significantly influences lecturer performance. Furthermore, organizational commitment mediates the relationship between social capital and lecturer performance, as well as the relationship between interpersonal trust and lecturer performance. The model explains 44.8% of the variance in lecturer performance and 34.1% of the variance in organizational commitment. These findings highlight the strategic importance of strengthening social relationships and trust within academic institutions to enhance organizational commitment and improve lecturer performance. Keywords: Social Capital, Interpersonal Trust, Organizational Commitment, Lecturer Performance, SEM-PLS

Abstract

This study focuses on finding the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the cost efficiency of banks using Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA). Building on intermediation and risk-return theories, we contend that credit risk, profitability, capital buffers and liquidity management have different impacts on costs in crisis and normal regimes. Using SFA, we estimate a translog cost frontier and Battese-Coelli (1995) inefficiency-effects model on a balanced panel of the quarterly data of Indonesian banks over the period 2015-2024. Inefficiency is modeled using Non-Performing Loan (NPL), Return on Asset (ROA), Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Loan-to-Deposit Ratio (LDR), a dummy of the Covid period (2020-2022) and interaction terms of structural change. Results show that average cost efficiency is high but significantly lower during the lives of the Covid compared to outside the pandemic and conventional banks are seen to be more efficient than Islamic counterparts, Muamalat being the least efficient. Crucially, determinant effects are state-dependent: before the pandemic NPL, ROA, and CAR are associated with less inefficiency and LDR with more inefficiency, whereas during the pandemic such associations become weaker or become opposite and LDR/FDR becomes efficiency-improving. Theoretically, we provide proof of a regime shift mechanism in efficiency drivers under disruption, which means that models of performance should take crisis interactions into account when testing banking efficiency and cross-model heterogeneity.
