Abstract

This research aims to describe findings in the Qur'an regarding the issue of gender equality. Nowadays, there is still a stereotype of justifying men as having a higher position in reminding women who have done wrong. Even not a few men have a patriarchal paradigm towards women. The paradigm certainly needs to be straightened out through analysis of studies of several interpretations of the Qur'an. Using Amina Wadud's hermeneutic review as an approach, it was found that the Qur'an indeed explains the position between men and women with no dichotomy. By (1) categorizing interpretations into traditional, reactive, and holistic approaches and (2) identifying which methods best fit the analysis; philological analysis is then applied to examine the language and syntax of the Qur'anic text and uncover the deeper meanings of certain words and phrases The Qur'an does not describe the existence of patriarchal, matriarchal, misogynist, and misandry ideologies. Furthermore, it is also explained that (1) women have the right to inheritance and dowry, (2) they have the same commandments in worship, (3) men and women have a primordial agreement of monotheism, (4) men and women have the same potential to achieve achievements, and (5) men and women have compatibility in piety. These findings indicate that men and women have harmony before God and that there is no dichotomy between men and women in carrying out their functions and roles on earth.

Abstract

Motivating elementary school children to learn is often a challenge in education. This community service project aims to increase elementary school children's motivation to learn through a more enjoyable and holistic approach by combining play, creative activities, and literacy in a program called the BBL Model (Play, Creative Activities, Literacy). This community service project uses a participatory approach. The activities were carried out at the Karang Indah Village Reading Park in three stages, namely the preparation stage, which included needs analysis, program development, and coordination. The implementation stage included the location of activities, tools and materials, and the BBL event series. The third stage was evaluation and assessment, which included discussion and interaction, as well as measurement of results. The results of this community service showed a significant increase in the children's motivation to learn in Karang Indah Village. First, there was an increase in enthusiasm, with children showing high interest and active participation in learning activities integrated with game elements. Second, there was an increase in literacy skills, including the children's reading and writing skills, which were strengthened through fun literacy activities. Third, an increase in creativity, with children being more active in creating through drawing and craft activities, which supports cognitive development. This community service project demonstrates the importance of local and national education policies considering more interactive and enjoyable learning methods, which can increase student interest and engagement. This service has implications for the development of sustainable programs to continue supporting children's educational development, especially in areas with limited resources, and to improve access to educational resources to support more effective learning activities.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pendidikan di desa masih tertinggal dibandingkan dengan di kota. Salah satu faktor utama adalah rendahnya minat guru di desa untuk mengikuti perkembangan zaman, khususnya teknolog AIi dalam memudahkan menulis artikel ilmiah. Tujuan pengabdian ini untuk memberdayakan masyarakat khususnya para guru untuk lebih memahami esensi menulis artikel ilmiahberbasis teknologi AI. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakann yaitu menyelenggarakan pelatihan intes tentang tips dan trik untuk menulis artikel ilmiah dalam menuntaskan syarat kenaikan jabatan fungsional guru. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa sangat diperlukan teknik untuk memudahkan menulis artikel ilimiah bagi guru berbasis teknologi AI, dengan cara melaksanakan pelatihan menulis artikel ilmiah berbasis teknologi AI. Pelatihan ini diharapkan nantinya memiliki pemahaman akan pentingnya menulis artikel ilmiah serta mempunyai keterampilan menulis artikel ilmiah sehingga bisa menerbitkan berbagai karya ilmiah dengan menggunakan teknologi AI. Pengabdian ini berimplikasi untuk mengembangkan kemampuan serta professional guru di masa depan agar tidak gagap teknologi.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini membahas pengembangan kompetensi guru melalui pelatihan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dan dampaknya terhadap peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran di Desa Karang Indah. Desa Karang Indah merupakan contoh dari banyak daerah pedesaan di Indonesia yang menghadapi tantangan meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Pelatihan PTK diarahkan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman guru terhadap kurikulum terbaru, metode pembelajaran inovatif, evaluasi pembelajaran, pengelolaan kelas, dan penerapan teknologi dalam pembelajaran. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan fokus pada evaluasi dampak pelatihan terhadap praktik pembelajaran guru dan prestasi siswa. Hasil dari pelatihan ini adalah adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam melaksanakan penelitian tindakan kelas dan guru menyadari akan pentingnya inovasi dalam pembelajaran. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian secara umum, yaitu para guru peserta kegiatan telah paham dan terampil dalam melaksanakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK), serta para guru telah terampil dalam menyusun artikel penelitian tindakan kelas. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam mengajar. Oleh karena itu, disarankan agar pemerintah dan lembaga pendidikan memberikan perhatian lebih dalam pengembangan kompetensi guru melalui pelatihan PTK, terutama di daerah pedesaan seperti Desa Karang Indah.

Abstract

The quality of education in Indonesia is one of the most important factors in achieving the goal of quality education. Various methods are applied if without competent and professional teachers, it is impossible for educational goals to be achieved. The purpose of this study is to explore the views of Eastern scholars, such as Imam an-Nawawi and al-Ghazâlî, on the traits and competencies that must be possessed by a teacher in educating students. The method in this research uses the literature study method, which begins with data collection, recording, and classification based on relevance. Then, the descriptive analysis approach is used to find facts and results of ideas, which are then generalised in the form of descriptions. After that, the researcher draws conclusions to prove the issues discussed. The results showed that based on the synthesis of the thoughts of Imam Ghazali, Imam Nawawi and Imam Amin Kurdi related to teacher competence, namely the pedagogical aspect, which includes mastery of material, understanding of students, curriculum development, and learning assessment. Personality aspects, which include a mature, wise, wise, patient, sincere, and authoritative personality. Professional aspects, which include mastery of various sciences related to the field of study they teach. Social aspects, which include the ability to communicate, work together, and build relationships.

Abstract

Merdeka Curriculum is a curriculum designed to provide flexibility to education units in developing learning according to the needs and characteristics of students. This curriculum carries a number of learning principles that are different from the previous curriculum. This study aims to analyse the learning principles of the Merdeka Curriculum using the holistic approach of Ki Hajar Dewantara's paradigm. The method used in this research uses descriptive qualitative with a literature review approach. The data analysis technique starts from collecting data related to various topics that are the same as the article being studied, reducing data to produce data that is in line with research questions, and presenting data to draw conclusions. The results of this study show that Ki Hajar Dewantara's thoughts in the principles of learning based on the Merdeka Curriculum are flexibility, depth, relevance, interactive, and empowerment. Ki Hajar Dewantara's paradigm approach emphasises the importance of learner-centred education, active and meaningful learning, and the development of learners' characters and competencies. This research also contributes to the development of education in Indonesia by highlighting the importance of active learner engagement, contextualised learning, subject integration, character development and independence in learning. In addition, this research also identifies internal and external barriers to the implementation of Merdeka Curriculum, and emphasises the need to overcome these barriers so that the implementation of Merdeka Curriculum can run well.

Abstract

The advancement towards Society 5.0 and the rapid development of technologies, exemplified by generative AI systems like ChatGPT, highlight significant changes in various domains, including education. This evolution in artificial intelligence (AI) presents both opportunities and challenges, particularly in the realm of Islamic education.ChatGPT, developed by OpenAI, represents a sophisticated AI tool capable of generating human-like text through advanced algorithms and natural language processing. While its ability to provide quick and accurate information has revolutionized many fields, its impact on Islamic education necessitates careful consideration, given the traditional reliance on qath'i (definitive) sources for religious knowledge.Despite the extensive capabilities of AI tools like ChatGPT, there is limited empirical research on their application and implications within Islamic educational contexts, particularly concerning the adherence to traditional scholarly methods and the preservation of sanad (chain of transmission) in Islamic knowledge.This study aims to explore the integration of ChatGPT in Islamic education, focusing on its potential benefits and limitations. It evaluates how AI tools can be effectively utilized while maintaining the integrity of Islamic educational principles and ethical standards.

Abstract

Stunting selalu menjadi isu nasional sejak tahun 2018. Indonesia merupakan negara dengan beban anak stunting. Stunting merupakan kegagalan tumbuh kembang anak yang disebabkan oleh asupan gizi yang tidak memadai. Tujuan Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini untuk memberikan edukasi dalam mencegah stuntuting. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan model pelaksanaan penyuluhan serta mendistribusikan makanan sehat yang dapat menunjang gizi yang cukup, terutama bagi ibu hamil, ibu menyusui dan anak-anak dan pemasangan alat peraga pendidikan (APE). Hasil dari pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa analisis fishbone dan metode kaizen dalam mampu menjadi solusi untuk mencegah stunting. Pengabdian ini menunjukkan pentingnya program penyuluhan rutin untuk peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang Pencegahan Stunting serta masyarakat dimotivasi untuk mendapatkan akses pengobatan dan pengetahuan tentang Pencegahan Stunting berbasis Alat Peraga Edukatif (APE). Pengabdian ini berimplikasi untuk upaya mencegah stunting guna menurunkan angka stunting di Indonesia.
