Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of guidance and counseling services in Malaysian elementary schools and to identify adaptation ideas that may be applied in other countries. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design conducted at Sekolah Kebangsaan Telok Panglima Garang, Selangor, Malaysia. Data were collected through interviews with classroom teachers and documentation of counseling programs, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. Data validity was ensured through triangulation of sources, techniques, and contextual description. The findings indicate that guidance and counseling in Malaysian elementary schools are carried out professionally by Full-Time Guidance and Counseling Teachers (Guru Bimbingan dan Kaunseling Sepenuh Masa / GBKSM) using holistic, preventive, and collaborative approaches. Innovative programs such as mentor-mentee, peer counseling, and the utilization of digital counseling have proven effective in supporting students’ academic, emotional, and social development. The success of the implementation is further strengthened by curriculum integration, the establishment of counseling units, national guidelines, as well as active involvement of parents and the community. The study recommends several adoption strategies, including the placement of specialized counseling teachers in elementary schools, integration of counseling services into the curriculum, teacher capacity building, the use of technology, and modifications tailored to local cultural contexts. These findings emphasize that guidance and counseling services play a crucial role in fostering inclusive, high-quality, and sustainable primary education.

Abstract

The success of learning is determined by the teacher's ability to create relevant learning experiences that are in accordance with the diversity of potential and interests of students in the class. The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of differentiated learning combined with the project based learning (PjBL) model on the material exploring the solar system in the subject of science for grade VI of SDN Wonokerso 1 Sragen. This study was conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach, where data were collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The focus of this study was on three main stages of differentiated learning, namely the planning stage, the implementation stage, and the learning evaluation stage. The findings demonstrated that planning was carried out by analyzing students' individual learning needs, including learning styles, interests, and readiness levels as the basis for developing adaptive differentiation strategies. The PjBL model at the implementation stage provides a learning framework that encourages students to complete real projects through six structured phases that have been proven to increase student engagement, collaboration, and conceptual understanding. The evaluation stage was carried out formatively and summatively, including assessment of the process, project products, and learning reflections that were adjusted to the students' learning profiles. The main supporting factors were teacher readiness, student participation, and the availability of educational materials and media. In the meantime, the obstacles found included time constraints and gaps in ability between students. Overall, this approach has proven effective in encouraging student engagement, deepening conceptual understanding, and developing their critical thinking skills during science learning in a more meaningfully and contextually.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of moral education based on Pancasila values in efforts to prevent bullying in elementary school environments, with a particular focus on SD N 1 Sidokarto. Additionally, the research explores the contribution of teachers in reducing bullying cases through the practice of Pancasila values in daily activities. This study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The research subjects consist of the fourth-grade homeroom teacher, fourth-grade students, and school staff as additional informants. Data collection techniques include participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques, involving data reduction, categorization, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the values of Belief in One Supreme God, Just and Civilized Humanity, and the Unity of Indonesia have been internalized through regular school programs such as communal Dhuha prayer, scouts, and clean Friday daily literacy routines, and the 3S activities (Smile, Greet, Salute). These programs have contributed to shaping students’ character to be more respectful, disciplined, and responsible. Although challenges remain in strengthening the value of unity outside the classroom and addressing bullying incidents, the active role of teachers in modeling and supervising student behavior is crucial in creating a safe and respectful school environment. This study is expected to offer recommendations for enhancing Pancasila-based moral education as a strategy to prevent bullying in elementary schools. Abstract

This study aims to develop an Android-based multimedia e-book that is valid, practical, and effective in enhancing the collaboration skills of elementary school students. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The participants were 32 fifth-grade students at State Elementary School Cangkreng, Lenteng District, Sumenep Regency. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, implementation observations, student response questionnaires, and pretest–posttest collaboration skill assessments. The validation results indicated that the e-book achieved a highly feasible level of validity, with the average score increasing from 3.53 to 4.69 after revisions. The product also demonstrated high practicality, with an average score of 88.25% on implementation observations and 90.5% on student responses. The e-book’s effectiveness was evidenced by an increase in the average collaboration skill score from 67.31 to 85.06 and an improvement in learning mastery from 31.25% to 93.75%. A paired t-test revealed a t-value (12.84) greater than the critical t-table value (2.04), indicating a significant improvement after using the e-book. Therefore, the developed Android-based multimedia e-book is feasible for use as an innovative learning medium to enhance students’ collaboration skills, while also supporting the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum and strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile
