In this era, teachers need to choose the proper method in teaching and vice versa; students’ participation in the classroom should be one of biggest concern for the teachers. With the right method, learning activities can be more effective to the students and will also improve their participation. This study intends to use Numbered Heads Together (NHT) as one of cooperative learning method to improve students’ participation in classroom. The methodology that being used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) and the research method is quantitative. The researchers will observe and implement the method by making two exercises in group, then give a self-assessment questionnaire to the students about their opinion to individual activities and group work activities. The results showed that NHT method is successfully improved students’ participation and activeness in the classroom with each of the students recorded to have significant improvement in their participation, while there are pros and cons from the self-assessment about the students’ preferences for each individual and group work activities. There are also advantages and disadvantages from NHT method itself. The disadvantage is no doubt making the student uncomfortable and don’t like to work in group. Further research is suggested to take action to the disadvantage of cooperative learning method.

This research was conducted to find out whether Google Translate is effective or not in assisting students doing their exercises in English subject classroom. The method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR). The population of this research was the 31 active students of XI MIPA class in one of Batam's private senior high school; SMA Kartini Batam. Before conducting a thorough research, an observation was conducted in order to understand the students' behaviour and their opinions regarding the use of gadget and Google Translate in English subject classroom. Afterwards, students were given a pre-test in a form of exercise for their English class. They were not allowed to use anything in working on their exercise. The required score was 77 to be marked as pass. The total mean score was 81.9 for the pre-test. It can be concluded that they are still knowledgeable even though they were not utilizing the machine translation. After reviewing and giving feedback to the students, the post-test was commenced with 92.9 as the result. It can be said that the use of Google Translate in assisting students doing their exercises in English subject classroom is effective and enhanced students' knowledge.

Kesehatan mental merupakan salah satu aspek yang paling penting dalam kehidupan manusia. Selama masa pandemi jumlah siswa serta mahasiswa yang memiliki masalah dengan Kesehatan Mental meningkat, seperti stress dan depresi. Hal ini disebabkan pembelajaran virtual selama pandemi mengakibatkan kurang nya interaksi sosial dan interpersonal serta beban tugas yang menumpuk. Oleh karena itu, melalui proyek SePORA (Society EnPOwerment ProgRAm) ini akan diadakan penyuluhan mengenai kesehatan mental khususnya kepada murid di SMA Kartini. Metode penyuluhan kami berupa webinar bertemakan “Pentingnya Mental Health Awareness pada Siswa/i di Masa Pandemi COVID-19” melalui Google Meet yang diadakan pada hari Kamis, 29 Juli 2021 kepada siswa/i SMA Kartini Batam. Hasil pelaksanaan SePORA ini berupa suatu media pembelajaran interaktif yang dapat membantu siswa/i dalam memahami lebih lanjut mengenai pentingnya menjaga kesehatan mental pada masa pandemi, yang akan disertai dengan pelatihan pengoperasian media tersebut pada saat acara sosialisasi. Adapun rekomendasi untuk pelaksanaan PKM selanjutnya, yaitu pelaksaanan PKM seperti ini dilakukan secara berkala dan dapat menggunakan metode yang sama seperti kelompok kami dengan menyesuaikan tema dan mitra sesuai dengan topik yang akan diangkat, apabila ingin melaksanakan secara tatap muka dihimbaukan untuk mengikuti protokol kesehatan COVID-19

Dalam membangun usaha kecil (UMKM) banyak faktor yang mendukung untuk berjalan lancar, salah satunya pemasaran yang menarik dan tepat sasaran. Pemasaran produk dan jasa dilakukan dengan mengikuti perkembangan zaman melalui media sosial. Usaha mikro UMKM merupakan sebuah usaha atau badan usaha milik individu yang produktif operasionalnya serta diatur dalam UU Nomor 20 Tahun 2008 tentang usaha mikro kecil dan menengah. Masyarakat Indonesia yang kreatif, menciptakan inovasi dalam membantu kemajuan perekonomian bangsa. UMKM yang dibahas yaitu UMKM tahu organik bakau, dimana memiliki pelanggan tetap dan tidak memiliki pelanggan yang baru. Dengan memanfaatkan media sosial instagram untuk promosi konten yg menarik untuk menjangkau lebih banyak orang agar mengetahu UMKM tahu organik bakau. Dengan desain konten Intagram sebagai metode promosi untuk meningkatkan pangsa pasar UMKM Tahu Organik Bakau, maka meningkatnya jumlah konsumen yang berminat dengan produk Tahu Organik Bakau. Kemudia, meningkatkan daya tarik promosi yang lebih modern dengan memanfaatkan teknologi di era 4.0. Rasisme merupakan pemahaman tentang ras atau suku diri sendiri yang paling berkuasa dan benar, sehingga membuat perbedaan perilaku terhadap ras atau suku orang lain. Radikalisme merupakan perilaku untuk memaksa adanya perubahan yang besar dari lingkungan sosial yang biasanya dilakukan dengan cara kekerasan. Kedua ini saling berhubungan, jika adanya sikap rasisme maka bisa menyebabkan radikalisme. Belakangan ini kasus Rasisme dan Radikalisme semakin meningkat dalam lingkungan sekolah. Ini bisa menjadi salah satu penyebab runtuhnya ideologi bangsa, karena pelajar merupakan generasi masa depan bangsa. Tujuan peneliti melakukan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pemahaman siswa-siswi tentang Rasisme dan Radikalisme, serta meneliti apakah pernah terjadi Rasisme dan Radikalisme dilingkungan sekolah dan upaya penyelesaiannya. Metode awal yang kami lakukan yaitu metode wawancara terhadap guru serta beberapa siswa-siswi, kemudian melakukan proses perancangan yang tepat dengan kondisi saat ini. Maka dari itu kami memilih metode pendidikan masyarakat penyuluhan dengan cara webinar dan membuat video edukasi untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran tentang Radikalisme dan Rasisme. Dengan adanya penyuluhan ini pemahaman siswa-siswi terhadap Rasisme dan Radikalisme semakin meningkatkan dilihat dari kuesioner melalui Google form terdapat sekitar 50 responden dengan hasil sekitar 70% siswa-siswi SMK Mahardika paham tentang materi yang disampaikan dalam video, 20% siswa-siswi kurang paham tentang materi yang disampaikan dan 10% siswa-siswi tidak paham. Rekomendasi untuk PKM selanjutnya adalah melakukan webinar yang tertuju kepada guru, itu dikarenakan peran guru yang sangat penting dan besar bagi siswa-siswi serta idelogi bangsa.

This study aims to find out the perceptions and difficulties of Univesitas Internasional Batam students in learning English online using E-Learning (Learning Management System), what are the difficult factors that affect UIB students in learning using E-Learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted using quantitative methods. Participants in this study were Universitas Internasional Batam students totaling 100 students from the 2019-2021 batch from various majors. Data was obtained by using a questionnaire. To evaluate the data, the researcher used a Likert scale and categorizes it in the form of strongly agree, agree, disagree, and strongly disagree. The results of the perception of this study indicate that most of UIB students have a very positive perception with the use of E-Learning in online English learning during the Covid-19 pandemic, this is supported by the perception factor from question no 9 that the learning materials in UIB's E-Learning are easy accessed anywhere, the average of these questions is 3.49. However, from the results of this study, there were 5 difficulty factors that affected UIB students, namely (1) question 15: low motivation statements when studying online using E-Learning with an average data of 2.77. (2) question 12: statement of lack of understanding about E-Learning features with an average data of 2.57. (3) question 20: statement of increasing internet quota on the use of E-Learning with an average data of 2.48. (4) question 18: statement Using E-Learning to learn English during this pandemic is uncomfortable with an average of 2.29. (5) question 19: the statement that it is difficult to access the internet network at E-Learning sites with an average data rate of 2.27.

MALL (mobile-assisted language learning) was implemented in order to raise pupils' grades, especially in English-speaking classes. Microsite was used to assist students in accessing learning materials. The study was carried out at one of Batam's secondary schools. Students in grade 10 of the second semester at one public high school were the subject of this study. The researchers as teachers would observe 50 science students through the evaluation in English class. To acquire data, the researchers compared pre-test and post-test results. and found out whether the strategy was successful in enhancing students' speaking abilities. Classroom action research (CAR) was applied to solve the issue in the class. The information was obtained in four steps: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The results revealed the speaking abilities of students have improved between pre-tests and post-tests. Students received a score of 59.56. for the average score of pre-tests and were categorized poorly. After implementing MALL (mobile-assisted language learning) activities, the average grades of the students increased. Post-tests gained 65.47 with a great improvement in several aspects such as pronunciation was 10.14% and followed by fluency was 6,3% improvement. The evidence indicates that students responded positively to the MALL (mobile-assisted language learning) method particularly when using Microsite. The findings concluded that students' enthusiasm to learn English has been enhanced by MALL (mobile-assisted language learning), which has also boosted their speaking abilities.

Due to this pandemic, the teacher needs to design a proper strategies suit to stu-dents learning condition. While trying to adjust with the changing, the teacher still has to maintain the teaching learning effectiveness. However, teachers had to use technological tools and improve the student’s interest in learning English subject. This research aim is to analyze or to identify how the English teacher engage the students by having an observation sheet in collecting the data. The study used qualitative research method. The subject of this study was the teacher strategies in online teaching and the uses of technological tools for SMP grade 9 at SHU. The result shows that, the use of technological tools improve the students learning pro-cess for English subject. But teachers’ strategies were not effective because teach-ers speak full English but some of them find it hard to engaged in. This research focuses on the teachers’ strategies in teaching and using the technology as for the English teaching. However, with the use of technology during teaching and learn-ing process, researcher concluded that there is improvement for the students in learning the English subject and possibly attract the students’ interest while learn-ing English subject virtually.

Dalam kegiatan pemilu, pemilih pemula cenderung belum sepenuhnya mengenal lingkungan politik sehingga rawan dipolarisasi dan diintervensi oleh kelompok berkepentingan. Oleh karena itu, diadakan Edukasi Pemilu 2024 dan Sosialisasi Pengawasan Partisipatif kepada Pemilih Pemula di SMAN 15 Batam pada tanggal 26 Juli 2023 dengan tujuan memberikan edukasi sehingga pelaksanaan Pemilu 2024 berjalan dengan lancar tanpa adanya golput dan potensi kerawanan lainnya. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, kami menggunakan metode observasi dan literatur, yaitu dengan mengunjungi secara langsung SMAN 15 Batam bersama dengan tim Bawaslu dan menjalankan serangkaian kegiatan, seperti penyampaian materi, ice breaking, dan mengajak siswa-siswi untuk berpartisipasi dalam lomba poster dan video bertemakan pemilu. Oleh karena itu, siswa-siswi dapat mengetahui pentingnya menyalurkan suara untuk memilih pemimpin yang akan membawa Indonesia menjadi lebih baik di masa depan.
