Abstract

Pelajaran Fisika merupakan pelajaran yang memerlukan pengertian dan pemahaman mengenai konsep-konsep fisika tersebut. Peneliti menerapkan media Physicusic dalam model pembelajaran Examples Non Example dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui perubahan minat belajar siswa dan  pemahaman konsep fisika pada bab hukum Newton. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP Negeri 3 Ungaran, kelas VIII I sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan VIII H sebagai kelompok kontrol. Instrumen dalam penelitian terdiri atas instrumen tes tertulis berbentuk uraian dan lembar angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan minat dari 45,39%  menjadi 90,03% yang berarti media dan model pembelajaran tersebut dapat menumbuhkan minat, sedangkan peningkatan pemahaman konsep pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol (0,50 > 0,36).  Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran fisika dengan media Physicusic dalam model pembelajaran Examples Non Examples dapat meningkatkan minat dan pemahaman konsep (secara kuantitatif) fisika  pada siswa SMP kelas VIII pada bab hukum Newton.  Physics lesson is a lesson that requires insight and understanding of the physics concepts. Researchers applying Physicusic media in Examples Non Example learning model in order to determine changes in student interest and understanding of the physics concept in the Newton's laws chapter. This study was an experimental study. The sample in this study were students of SMP Negeri 3 Ungaran, class VIII I as an experimental group and a control group is class  VIII H. Research instrument consists of a written test instruments and questionnaire. The results showed that an increase in interest from 45.39% to 90.03% which means that the media and the learning models can foster interest, while the increase in students' understanding of the concept of the experimental class is higher than the control class (0.50> 0.36). Based on these results it can be concluded that learning physics with Physicusic media in Non Examples Examples learning model to foster interest and enhance understanding of physics(quantitatively ) concepts in junior high school students of class VIII in Newton's laws chapter.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kebutuhan alat peraga sebagai wujud implementasi Kurikulum 2013 pada mata pelajaran IPA Terpadu SMP. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu research and development. Melalui kegiatan Focus Group Discusion (FGD) didapatkan hasil sebesar 94 % guru menyatakan bahwa keberadaan alat peraga dalam pembelajran IPA di SMP adalah sangat penting. Sedangkan hanya 6 % menyatakan penting. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa untuk mengimplementasikan kurikulum 2013 dalam pembelajaran IPA, diperlukan alat peraga karena dapat mendukung pembelajaran pada setiap tahapan scientific approach.

Abstract

Kemendiknas mencanangkan penerapan pendidikan karakter untuk semua tingkat pendidikan. Penerapan pendidikan karakter dapat dikolaborasikan dengan model Learning Cycle 7E (LC 7E). Model LC 7E yang terintegrasi dengan nilai karakter berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar sekaligus perkembangan karakter siswa. Pada kegiatan pembelajaran, model tersebut dapat diterapkan melalui LKS. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKS Fisika berbasis learning cycle 7E. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah R&D (Research & Development). Desain LKS terdiri dari tujuh tahap pembelajaran model learning cycle 7E. Pada setiap tahap pembelajaran terdapat kegiatan yang dapat membangun karakter siswa. Hasil uji kelayakan menunjukkan bahwa LKS berada pada kriteria sangat layak sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai panduan pembelajaran. Hasil uji keterbacaan menunjukkan bahwa LKS berada pada kriteria tinggi sehingga mudah dipahami dan dapat digunakan secara mandiri oleh pembaca. LKS dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif. LKS juga dapat membangun karakter siswa terutama karakter jujur, rasa ingin tahu, komunikatif, dan disiplin.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (R&D) yang menghasilkan tes bertujuan untuk mengukur kemampuan literasi sains siswa SMP pada materi getaran dan gelombang yang teruji validitas, reliabilitas, dan karakteristiknya. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 66 siswa dari kelas VIII B dan VIII C SMP Negeri 22 Semarang. Produk berupa 22 butir soal dengan kriteria sangat valid pada uji validitas isi dan kuat pada uji validitas kesejajaran dengan nilai 0,62 serta reliabilitas tinggi sebesar 0,88. Tes yang dikembangkan memuat kategori literasi sains dengan persentase sains sebagai batang tubuh pengetahuan, cara berpikir, cara menyelidiki, serta interaksi sains, teknologi, dan masyarakat berturut-turut sebesar 32%, 23%, 36%, dan 9%. Persentase taraf kesukaran 0% mudah, 45% sedang, dan 35% sukar. Profil kemampuan literasi sains perkategori untuk sains sebagai batang tubuh pengetahuan, cara berpikir, cara menyelidiki, serta interaksi sains, teknologi, dan masyarakat berturut-turut memiliki persentase sebesar 27%, 28%, 42% dan 15 %, dimana keempat kategori tersebut memiliki kriteria kurang sekali. The research is a research and development that produce test to measure science literacy ability of junior high school students on vibration and wave material that is tested for its validity, reliability, and characteristic. This research was conducted in SMP Negeri 22 Semarang with total sample of 66 students from class VIII B and VIII C. There are 22 questions that very valid with criteria on content validity test and meet the strong criteria on the validity test parallels with a value of 0.62 and high reliability of 0.88. The developed test contained the science literacy category with the percentage of science as a body of knowledge, science as a way of thinking, science as a way of investigating, and the interaction of science, technology, and society in 32%, 23%, 36%, and 9% respectively. The percentage of difficulty level is 0% easy, 45% moderate, and 35% difficult. The profile of students science literacy ability for science as a body of knowledge, science as a way of thinking, science as a way of investigating, and interaction of science, technology, and society have a percentage of 27%, 28%, 42% and 15% respectively, it classified as a very lack in criteria.

Abstract

Physics is a study of natural phenomena and its interactions. In learning physics, it is necessary to practice the concepts of physics in everyday life. However, physics is still considered as a difficult subject by most of the students. It leads to the low outcomes of students' cognitive learning outcomes. Learning model and teaching materials are needed, so that it will be easier for students to understand a lesson. In this study, the researcher used 7E Learning Cycle model with handouts. This study intended to determine the effects of handout as a learning media in 7E Learning Cycle model to improve the learning outcomes of VII Grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Demak on the lesson of measurement. The research method used in this research was experimental research method with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design as the research design. The sample of this study was taken by cluster random sampling technique. It obtained research samples which were class VII D as the experimental class, and class VII A as the control class. Based on the result of the study, it obtained the average value of posttest of the experimental class was 73.50, and the control class was 58.31. The hypothesis testing by using point-biserial correlation coefficient and the coefficient of determination showed that handout as the learning media in 7E Learning Cycle model had a positive effect on students' cognitive learning outcomes. The improvement of student learning outcomes was indicated by the N-Gain test value of the experimental class of 0.26, and the control class of 0.10 with the low category. In conclusion, handout as the learning media in the 7E Learning Cycle model influences and improves student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Science learning demands the student?s skill in communicating their knowledge before appliying it in daily life. Communication is one of cultural and national character value. The aim of this research was determine the enhancement of students communication skills by the application of Conceptual Understanding Procedures (CUPs) learning model with probing prompting technique. The design of this research was one group pretest posttest design. The data of communication skills were obtained by observation method and the data of concept understanding were obtained by test method. Communication skills enhancement were calculated using the gain test. The result of this research showed that the application of CUPs learning model with probing prompting technique can increase students? communication skills. The gain score of students? communication skills was 0,454 which include in medium category. The gain score of concept understanding was 0,480 which include in medium category. It could be concluded that the application of CUPs learning model with probing prompting technique could improve students? communication skills.
