Abstract

Liquid coffee waste has the main component in the form of organic matter which is very resistant to increasing pollutant loads. Preliminary research results show that the level of pollution exceeds the quality standard with the test results of 23 ppm BOD and 72 ppm COD, so we need a way to prevent pollution. One way that can be used is the phytoremediation method by utilizing plants as pollutant degrading agents. The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of lotus in degradation of BOD and COD of liquid coffee waste. The research method used an experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design consisting of four variations of lotus biomass 0 g, 25 g, 50 g, and 75 g with three replications within 6 days. The results showed a degradation of BOD and COD levels varied. The most effective treatment for lotus phytoremediation on day 3 was P3 with a biomass of 75 g resulting in a degradation of BOD and COD reaching 72% and 71% which met the PP RI No. 82/2001 with a maximum limit of 3 ppm BOD and 25 ppm COD. The results of the homogeneity of variance test showed that the four treatments had homogeneous variance and analysis of variance showed that F count > F table 5% (4.07) and > F table 1% (7.59). These results indicate that lotus is effectively used as phytoremediation of liquid coffee waste. The conclusion of this research is that lotus is effective in BOD and COD degradation of liquid coffee waste.

Abstract

Tofu industrial waste has the potential to become an environmental pollutant when not treated optimally, so it needs proper treatment to minimize pollution. Fish farmers are expected to be able to innovate in terms of fish cultivation, so that harvest yields can be optimal to meet food needs. Furthermore, fermentation technology by Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Rhyzopus oligosporus are potential fungi that can increase the nutritional value of waste. This research aimed to produce an appropriate technology to produce fish feed pellets from fermented Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Rhyzopus oligosporus based on waste. This research method was designed in the form of research using a completely randomized design with 4 treatments (P0 without microbes); (P1 given Saccharomyces cerevisiae (2 gr) and Rhyzopus oligosporus (2 gr); (P2 Saccharomyces cerevisiae (1 gr) and Rhyzopus oligosporus (3 gr); (P3 Saccharomyces cerevisiae (3 gr) and Rhyzopus oligosporus (1 gr) with 3 replication.  The research results showed that: there was an effect of variation in microbial community on the nutrient content of the Fermented Fish Feed Pellets with Tofu Waste. Treatment P1 gave the highest protein and β -glucan content. Production of fermented fish feed pellets waste-based feed for catfish is the implementation of waste product, which can be further developed to meet the quality of the feed produced.

Abstract

Bank Sampah Hasil Makmur Jaya Karangtempel menjadi alternatif untuk menyelesaikan masalah sampah di daerah Karangtempel dan berpartisipasi dalam perlindungan lingkungan. Tujuan dibangunnya Bank Sampah Hasil Makmur Jaya Karangtempel untuk membangun kepedulian masyarakat Karangtempel agar dapat ‘berkawan’ dengan limbah rumah tangga untuk mendapatkan manfaat ekonomi langsung dari limbah rumah tangga beriintegrasi dengan gerakan 3R sehingga manfaat langsung yang dirasakan tidak hanya ekonomi, namun pembangunan lingkungan yang bersih, hijau dan sehat. Bank Sampah Hasil Makmur Jaya hanya mengelola limbah anorganik rumah tangga saja sedangkan limbah organik rumah tangga belum dikelola dengan baik. Masyarakat Karangtempel diberikan sosialisasi, pemberian materi dan pelatihan berupa keterampilan dalam mengelola limbah organik rumah tangga menjadi eco enzym dan magot. Kegiatan mitigasi perubahan iklim di Bank Sampah Hasil Makmur Jaya dimulai dari pengelolaan limbah organik rumah tangga di wilayah Kelurahan Karangtempel yang dilaksanakan secara berkelompok dengan melibatkan masyarakat di lokasi kampung iklim Karangtempel. Perilaku pengelolaan limbah organik rumah tangga yang melibatkan masyarakat Karangtempel adalah contoh kegiatan mitigasi perubahan iklim. Kampung iklim Karangtempel terdiri dari masyarakat Karangtempel, komunitas Bank Sampah Hasil Makmur Jaya yang diharapkan memiliki ketahanan terhadap perubahan iklim yang sedang dan akan berlangsung.

Abstract

Coffee liquid waste contains organic matter which can be at risk of increasing water pollution levels. The results of the preliminary research carried out showed that the level of pollution due to coffee liquid waste exceeded the quality standard, with the results of the BOD test results being 23 ppm and COD 72 ppm, so we need a way to reduce pollution. Phytoremediation is a method of natural waste handling using certain plants in collaboration with microorganisms in the media (soil, coral, water) so that it can change contaminants to be reduced or harmless. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Salvinia molesta phytoremediation in reducing BOD and COD levels. The research design used a completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments with three replications. The research data were tested using the Analysis of Variety Prints and the Duncan's Multiple Distance Test continued test. The results showed that the effectiveness of Salvinia molesta in reducing BOD levels was found in P3 obtained by an average of 8.37 ppm (73% decrease) and reducing COD levels by an average of 25.37 ppm (73%). Based on these results, it can be concluded that P3 is effective in reducing BOD and COD levels of coffee liquid waste.

Abstract

Abstract: Indonesian generally use spices as a mixture of beverages ingredients. Along with the increasing public demand for spices, it is necessary to make a products diversification, one of which is instant/dipped spice functional beverages (Wedang). Wedang Rempah instant / dip is an instant beverages made from spices native to Indonesia. Wedang Rempah Mbah Kung develops spice-based instant beverages. Wedang spices ingredients used in Wedang Rempah Mbah Kung include ginger, turmeric, lemongrass, cardamom, star anise, temulawak, cinnamon, sappan wood, cloves, dahl, root of reeds, tamarind, purwoceng, lime and so on. This research was aimed to determine the effect of simplicia water content on the enzymatic process of the functional beverages Wedang Rempah Mbah Kung. The method of determining the water content of simplicia using the Gravimetric method and analyzed by qualitative descriptive. Wedang Rempah Slim, Wedang Rempah Bugar, Wedang Rempah Ceria Anak Sehat, Wedang Rempah Purwoceng, Wedang Rempah Rosela have a water content of 8.26%, 10.34%, 7.72%, 10.12%, 8.59%. The water content of simplicia should be less than 10%. If the water content is greater than 10%, it will cause enzymatic processes and damage by microbes. From the results of the research, it can be concluded that the simplicia water content of some processed Wedang Rembah Mbah Kung, for products Wedang Renpah Slim, Wedang Rempah Ceria Anak Sehat, Wedang Rempah Rosela has a water content of less than 10% so that the enzymatic process takes place slowly when compared to Wedang Rempah Bugar and Wedang Rempah Purwoceng have simplicia water content of more than 10%.

Abstract

The batik industry has grown fairly well in the Kendal region. The numerous studios and artisans in the batik business, including Batik Linggo Limbangan Kendal, demonstrate this. The batik motif that became the source of inspiration for Batik Linggo artists is a historical landmark in the shape of a Lingga stone with a floral design and daily community activities. The fundamental issue is that local traditions like Batik Linggo, has not developed into regional icons. Counseling and training must be provided in order for the Gonoharjo Limbangan village community to acquire the knowledge and abilities necessary to produce Batik Linggo on its own. In this community service program, three Batik Linggo motifs—the rice, clove seed, and coffee bean leaf motifs—were created and granted intellectual property rights. Additionally, natural dye paste preparation methods are taught to Batik Linggo artisans. the Batik Linggo website was also created which is expected to function as an online marketing tool.

Abstract

The research aims to produce Photosynthesis Ingenhousz experimental LKPD based on Science Process Skills through Lesson Study for Learning Community on valid and practical. The Student Worksheet (LKPD) developed is LKPD to facilitate students to have science process skills. The pattern of development of LKPD based on science process skills itself refers to the Lesson Study for Learning Community (LSLC) which consists of planning, implementing, and reflecting. This research method is a Research and Development (R & D) with 4D models (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). Data is collected by using validation sheets. Data analysis was carried out using a quantitative descriptive method on the validity of the LKPD practicum based on Science Process Skills through the Lesson Study for Learning Community. The research results showed that the LKPD practicum based on Science Process Skills through Lesson Study for Learning Community was declared valid with an average score of 3.66. The practicality of LKPD is at criteria 3.60 by teachers and 3.70 by students. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the LKPD practicum based on Science Process Skills through Lesson Study for Learning Community is very valid and practical.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efetivitas perpaduan model PBL dan time token terhadap hasil belajar kognitif dan kemandirian siswa pada pembelajaran daring materi virus. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode Quasi Experiment Design, sedangkan desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Non-quivalent Control Group Design. Penelitian  dilaksanakan di SMAN Batangan Pati. Waktu penelitian dilaksanakan semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2021/2022, pada bulan September 2021. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X-MIPA 2 yang berjumlah siswa dan X-MIPA 3 yang berjumlah siswa 60. Hasil penelitian persentase uji N-gain pada kelas eksperimen 37% lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol 21%. Persentase kemandirian siswa mencapai kategori tinggi yaitu sebesar 71%. Didukung dengan hasil uji statistik diperoleh nilai 0,005 dengan taraf signifikansi  (0,005 < 0,005) sehingga H1 diterima. Maka dapat disimpulkan perpaduan PBL (Problem Based Learning) dan Time Token dinyatakan efektif terhadap hasil belahar dan kemandirian siswa pada materi virus.

Abstract

Pengelolaan sampah plastik di masyarakat Karangtempel Semarang Timur saat ini masih didominasi dengan sistem dropping point di Bank Sampah, sampah plastik dikumpulkan terlebih dahulu dan dijual tanpa ada pengolahan. Namun, sampah plastik yang terkumpul hanya dibiarkan saja menumpuk dan langsung dijual, belum ada usaha untuk pengolahan sampah plastik disebabkan karena pemahaman, pengetahuan, kesadaran dan keterampilan masyarakat Karangtempel dalam pengolahan sampah plastik masih kurang. Pendekatan yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan PKM di Bank Sampah melalui pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui proses Community Based Participation. Dalam kegiatan PKM pada Bank Sampah dalam program pemberdayaan masyarakat yaitu peningkatan pengetahuan, pemahaman dan keterampilan dengan pemberian materi dan pelatihan keterampilan pengolahan sampah plastik. Hasil kegiatan PKM secara kualitas, pengelola Bank Sampah telah mempunyai strategi pengelolaan dan pengolahan sampah plastik menjadi ecobricks dan kerajinan yang dapat dimanfaatkan kembali dan mempunyai daya tawar tinggi. Kegiatan PKM pemberdayaan masyarakat yang terdiri atas kegiatan Pembinaan SDM, Pembinaan Usaha, Pembinaan Lingkungan dan Pembinaan Kelembagaan menghasilkan peningkatan pengetahuan, pemahaman, kesadaran peduli lingkungan dan keterampilan pengelola Bank Sampah dan masyarakat Karangtempel.

Abstract

Abstract:  The purpose of this study was to describe the learning interest of students in class XI MIPA SMA N 5 Semarang using the wordwall educational web. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this study were all 31 students of XI MIPA 02. The method used in research regarding the use of wordwalls on interest in learning Ruminants material in the learning process is by collecting data through a questionnaire (questionnaire), direct interviews with teachers and students, observation and documentation. The results of the study proved that the use of the Wordwall web media gave positive results to the learning interest of class  XI  MIPA  02 students in  Ruminants material which showed a result of 78%  in  the very high category. Biology learning with wordwall applications is good and can support learning activities used in the biology learning process for ruminant material in secondary schools. Abstrak: Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan minat belajar perserta didik kelas XI MIPA SMA N 5 Semarang menggunakan web edukasi wordwall. Dengan jenis penelitian yang digunakan merupakan deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik XI MIPA 02 yang berjumlah 31 orang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian mengenai penggunaan wordwall terhadap minat belajar materi Ruminansia pada proses pembelajaran dengan cara mengumpulkan data melalui koesioner (angket), wawancara langsung dengan guru dan perserta didik, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil Penelitian terbukti bahwa penggunaan media web Wordwall memberikan hasil positif terhadap minat belajar perserta didik kelas XI MIPA 02 pada materi Ruminansia yang menujukan hasil sebesar 78% dengan kategori sangat tinggi. Pembelajaran biologi dengan aplikasi wordwall, baik dan dapat mendukung aktivitas pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran Biologi materi ruminasia di sekolah menengah.
