Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran matematika metode power teaching berbasis konstruktivisme. Tujuan penelitian memperoleh perangkat pembelajaran yang valid dan praktis, serta pembelajaran yang efektif pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMPN 1 Batukliang kelas VIII. Metode penelitian menggunakan 4D Thiagaraja  yang telah dimodifikasi menjadi 3D, yakni: define, design, dan develop. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan valid, praktis, dan efektif. Valid, karena para ahli menilai perangkat pembelajaran berkategori sangat baik. Praktis, karena siswa dan guru memberikan penilaian yang sangat baik serta kemampuan pengelolaan guru berkategori sangat baik. Pembelajaran efektif karena rata-rata keaktifan siswa berkategori sangat aktif, rata-rata nilai hasil belajar siswa melebihi KKM, hasil belajar siswa mencapai ketuntasan belajar klasikal, dan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol. Hasil pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran matematika metode power teaching berbasis konstruktivisme materi bangun ruang sisi datar kelas VIII valid, praktis dan pembelajarannya efektif.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi heuristik pada pendekatan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa di kelas VIII SMP pada materi Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP. Instrument yang digunakan adalah tes yang berjumlah 6 soal uraian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata hasil posttest kelas eksperimen sebesar 65,8 dan nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol sebesar 58,68. Hasil uji-t diperoleh t-hitung sebesar 2.53   dan t-tabel sebesar 2,02. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar antara siswa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan setelah diberikan perlakuan berbeda. Sehingga strategi heuristik pada pendekatan pemecahan masalah yang digunakan lebih berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa dibandingkan dengan metode pembelajaran langsung pada materi persamaan linear dua variabel.Abstract:  The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of heuristic strategies on the mathematical problem solving approach of students in class VIII of Junior High School on the material of Two Variable Linear Equation Systems. This type of research is quasi-experimental. The population of this study was the eighth grade students of junior high school. The instrument used is a test which amounts to 6 questions. The results showed that the average results of the experimental class posttest were 65.8 and the control class average value was 58.68. The t-test results obtained t-count of 2.53 and t-Tabel of 2.02. This shows that the learning outcomes between the experimental class students and the control class have significant differences after being given different treatments. So that the heuristic strategy in the problem solving approach used is more influential on student learning outcomes compared to the direct learning method in the two-variable linear equation material

Abstract

SMPN 4 Keruak is one of the driving schools, with one of its programs namely learning with a new paradigm. To support the program, the community service team (PkM) conducted a diagnostic assessment. This is done with the aim of being the teacher's consideration in determining the appropriate teaching materials and learning methods to be used so that the information provided to students can be maximized. The diagnostic assessment carried out by the PkM team is a non-cognitive diagnostic assessment that focuses on knowing the type of personality possessed by class VII students of SMPN 4 Keruak. Student personality diagnostics is carried out using the AKU PINTAR application and web which is available on Android, students only need to fill out the test using a smartphone or laptop. The results obtained are that the dominant personality in class VII students of SMPN 4 Keruak is a combination of three personalities, namely dominance, influence, and steadiness. This means that students have a strong leadership spirit, tend to be nimble in acting and oriented to the future. By knowing the type of student personality, the teacher can arrange teaching materials and choose the right learning method to be used at the time of learning later.

Abstract

Students still use manual methods in processing their research data because they are unable to use and interpret the results of calculations from existing statistical test software such as SPSS, Minitab and others. Abstract

Karakter sering disamaankan dengan ahlak, yaitu cara berpikir atau Prilaku seseorang sebagai ciri khas dalam diri pribadi. Dengan karakter orang akan menampakan keaslian seseorang. Peran orang tua sangat penting sekali dalam hal pendidikan, karena orang tua merupakan guru sekaligus contoh bagi anak-anak. Tiga hal yang perlu ditanamkan kepada peserta didik yaitu pengetahuan moral, perasaan moral, dan perilaku moral. Jika ketiga hal tersebut tertanam dalam diri peserta didik maka akan terbentuk karakter baik. karakter yang baik terdiri dari mengetahui hal yang baik, menginginkan hal yang baik, dan melakukan hal yang baik, kebiasaan dalam cara berpikir, kebiasaan dalam hati, dan kebiasaan dalam tindakan. Adapun dalam lingkungan pendidikan formal (sekolah) Ada beberapa hal yang menjadi penyebab penyimpangan karakter, Metode pembelajaran menitik beratkan kepada nilai­-nilai kognitif, sedangkan nilai­-nilai afektif diabaikan, menghafal lebih diutamakan dibandingkan memahami serbuan budaya asing yang begitu dahsyat sehingga mampu menghancurkan benteng moral dan agama para generasi kita sehingga perlu ada pengontrolan kepada budaya asing yang masuk dilingkungan peserta didik.

Abstract

Parents play an important role during online learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic. However, there are still not many studies that examine parents' perspectives regarding online learning. Therefore, this study aims to examine the perspective of parents regarding the problems experienced by students during online mathematics learning. Participants in this study were 47 parents of students whose ages ranged from 35 to 50 years. The instrument used was an interview guide in the form of a semi-structured interview. Data were analyzed using NVivo-12-assisted thematic analysis. The results of the study show that parents think students have problems in terms of low understanding of math material and children learning less than optimally while at home. However, some parents also revealed that there were no obstacles during online learning during the Pandemic. The results of this study then recommend that parents immediately provide information to the teacher when they find that children cannot solve problems and parents cannot help children in solving these math problems.

Abstract

The research aimed to investigate the utilization of GeoGebra software in mathematics education, focusing on how it is integrated into teaching and learning. Employing a systematic literature review method, this study synthesized findings from various academic sources. The results indicated several significant points regarding GeoGebra's application in education. First, GeoGebra software has been effectively used across various mathematical topics, including geometry, algebra, calculus, and other related areas. Its flexibility makes it a valuable tool for visualizing complex concepts and enhancing students' understanding. Second, the utilization of GeoGebra spans both high school and college levels, showing its wide acceptance in diverse educational settings. The software has proven beneficial for learners at different academic stages, allowing them to explore mathematical concepts interactively. Third, the use of GeoGebra has demonstrated positive impacts on students' learning outcomes. It enhances engagement, fosters better comprehension of abstract ideas, and significantly improves students' higher-order thinking skills, such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and creative reasoning. Furthermore, the study revealed that GeoGebra had been widely used in various regions of Indonesia, particularly in the western parts, indicating growing interest in integrating ICT tools in mathematics education. Teachers and educators in these regions have adopted the software to facilitate more dynamic and interactive learning environments. In conclusion, the findings of this study highlight the effectiveness of GeoGebra in improving students' learning outcomes and mathematical thinking skills. Its potential for fostering a deeper understanding of mathematics and enhancing cognitive abilities makes it a valuable resource for educators.

Abstract

Teachers play a determining role in students' success in achieving learning goals. Therefore, Pedagogical Content Knowledge is an ability that teachers and prospective teachers must have. This research aims to describe the Pedagogical Content Knowledge profile of prospective mathematics teachers in collaborative online learning, especially in courses evaluating mathematics learning processes and outcomes. This research is descriptive qualitative research. Prospective mathematics teacher students who contracted courses in evaluating the process and results of mathematics learning from Wiralodra University and Nahdlatul Wathan University of Mataram, were the subjects of this research. The instruments used in this research were a test of understanding the concept of evaluating mathematics learning processes and outcomes, questionnaires, and learning documentation via the Phytagoras LMS. The data analysis techniques used include data reduction stages, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the research results, it was found that students in the mathematics learning process and outcome evaluation course whose lectures were held collaboratively online had a very good Pedagogical Content Knowledge profile and gave a positive response to the implementation of collaborative online learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of 21st-century skills in madrasas in mathematics learning and the implementation of 21st-century skills in mathematics learning to help madrasah students face the challenges of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and to determine the factors that support and hinder the implementation of 21st-century learning in madrasas. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Research data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis such as lesson plans, learning media, syllabi, and student evaluation results. The results show that mathematics learning in madrasas is currently only in the initial stage of implementing 21st-century skills. Mathematics learning that integrates 21st-century skills not only improves academic achievement but also helps build students' character and ability to adapt to an ever-changing world. 21st-century mathematics learning in madrasas still faces many challenges such as conventional approaches, limited teacher competencies, and inadequate infrastructure.
