Abstract

Research Aims: This study aims to analyze the influence of training, compensation, and work environment on employee performance by considering gender differences as a moderating variable. The study seeks to determine the extent to which these factors contribute to performance enhancement among male and female employees at PT POS Indonesia DIY. Design/methodology/approach: A quantitative research approach was employed using the Multi-Group Analysis (MGA) method in Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The study was conducted on a population comprising all employees of PT POS Indonesia DIY, with a sample of 117 respondents selected through random sampling. Data were collected via a Likert scale-based questionnaire, measuring key indicators of training, compensation, work environment, and employee performance. Research Findings: The findings indicate that the work environment plays a dominant role in improving employee performance, whereas training has a limited impact, and compensation does not significantly influence performance. When analyzed by gender, the results reveal that for male employees, only the work environment has a strong effect on performance, while training and compensation are insignificant. In contrast, for female employees, training has a weak effect, compensation remains insignificant, and the work environment continues to be the key determinant of performance. Theoretical Contribution/Originality: This study contributes to the literature on employee performance by providing empirical evidence on the differential impact of training, compensation, and work environment across gender groups. The findings highlight the necessity of prioritizing a conducive work environment to enhance productivity, as well as the importance of considering gender-specific responses when designing organizational policies. From a managerial perspective, optimizing work facilities and fostering a supportive organizational culture are critical strategies for improving employee performance.

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to improve the management control systems of print entrepreneurs around Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK). The main issue was the lack of understanding and implementation of effective control systems, leading to operational inefficiencies. Using a Service Learning approach, 10 entrepreneurs participated in training led by experts from Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) and USK. The training covered management control concepts and introduced basic technology tools to support business operations. Results showed a 25% increase in participants' understanding of management control systems and an 85% adoption rate of the techniques and technologies introduced. These improvements contributed to better business efficiency and align with Sustainable Development Goal 8, which emphasizes decent work and economic growth. This activity demonstrated that tailored training programs can significantly enhance small business operations and can be replicated for broader impact.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and explain the influence of political marketing mix and brand personality on brand image and their implications for voting decisions for legislative candidates from the Golkar Party in Wakatobi Regency. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires and documentation. The study population consisted of 12,729 voters who selected legislative candidates from the Golkar Party in Wakatobi Regency, with a sample size of 75 respondents. The analysis tool used was SmartPLS. The results indicate that the political marketing mix significantly influences the brand image of the Golkar Party, and brand personality also affects the brand image of the Golkar Party in Wakatobi Regency. Additionally, the political marketing mix has a significant impact on voting decisions for legislative candidates from the Golkar Party, as does brand personality. Brand image itself also influences voting decisions for legislative candidates from the Golkar Party. Indirectly, the political marketing mix affects voting decisions through brand image. This study provides empirical evidence that an effective political marketing mix can enhance the brand image of candidates, thereby strengthening voters' decisions to choose legislative candidates from the Golkar Party. Furthermore, a strong brand personality positively impacts the improvement of the candidate’s brand image, ultimately reinforcing voters' decisions in favor of the Golkar Party's legislative candidates.

Abstract

Abstract

This study investigates how information technology and human resource capacity influence inventory management, moderated by financial statement quality. It contributes to the limited literature on the intersection of IT, HR, and financial transparency in enhancing public sector inventory performance in Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 153 organizational units’ head within a local government in Malinau, Indonesia, analyzed through Partial Least Squares (PLS). Findings reveal that both information technology and HR capacity significantly improve inventory management. However, the moderating effect of financial statement quality weakens this relationship, suggesting a disconnect between reporting practices and operational integration. Theoretically, the study broadens understanding of how financial reporting quality interacts with organizational capabilities in public governance. These findings call for managers to not only invest in systems and personnel but also to align financial transparency mechanisms to ensure coherent and effective inventory control.
