Abstract

This research aims to analyze the communication process, role exchange, and interpersonal communication model of breadwinner mothers in building a harmonious household in Bandar Klippa Village, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province, Indonesia. The method used in this research is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach so that the data is then explained in sentence form. Researchers used interviews and documentation techniques to collect data from informants and triangulation. The results found by researchers include that the communication process continues because there is an element of mutual love and need for each other, the exchange of roles that occurs is contrary to functional structure and cultural norms, so the word "boru" appears. For Batak husbands who help with household work, the communication model that occurs is the Schramm model combined with the theory of the division of roles and needs from the discipline of psychology.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze marketing communication strategies, identify obstacles in marketing communication strategies, and find a model for marketing communication strategies. The research method used is qualitative with a qualitative descriptive approach. The subjects in this study consist of five main informants who are female weavers and marketers of woven songket fabric in Batu Bara, and there are two triangulation informants, namely the head of tourism and the chairman of the Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis). This research utilizes communication theories with data collection methods including observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that female weavers have implemented the 4Ps approach: Product, Price, Place, and Promotion. The obstacles faced by the weavers include physical barriers, status barriers, and cultural barriers. The researcher also found a model in the marketing communication strategy used by the weavers, namely a marketing communication model in the form of face-to-face sales, where sales are made directly to potential buyers followed by community engagement by building good relationships with buyers , fellow weavers, and related parties. Followed by direct marketing divided into offline and online marketing, advertising on social media, and finally conducting sales promotions by offering discounts or promotions on a product.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how mimicry of patriarchal culture occurs through verbal violence against women on Instagram. Using Roland Barthes' semiotic method by analyzing the comments column in the form of verbal violence in the Instagram account @anneofficial1990, the research found that based on observations on the comment texts, the normalization of violence against women is the impact that occurs as a result of the entertainment media's spotlight on the account owner's decision to remove her hijab. The conclusion of this research is that mimicry occurs in the form of imitation of patriarchal culture and is manifested in verbal violence committed by women against other women. Women who are dominated by male masculinity in the real world try to make themselves as subjects through the arena on Instagram social media by oppressing other women through the comment section on Instagram. The myth found in this study is the myth of patriarchal culture, one of which is the assessment of women from the way they dress.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji gaya komunikasi laki-laki metroseksual di Kota Medan dalam menghadapi stigma sosial dan norma tradisional. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif fenomenologis, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam terhadap lima informan berusia 18–50 tahun dan dianalisis dengan model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan empat gaya komunikasi utama yang digunakan informan, yaitu dominan, terbuka, bersahabat, dan reflektif. Gaya dominan digunakan untuk menegaskan identitas dan membangun citra profesional, sementara gaya terbuka dan bersahabat memungkinkan terciptanya dialog yang inklusif dan nyaman. Gaya reflektif menunjukkan kedalaman pengalaman pribadi serta pemaknaan terhadap identitas diri. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa laki-laki metroseksual mampu menyesuaikan gaya komunikasi mereka dengan konteks sosial yang ada, sekaligus berkontribusi pada pemahaman yang lebih luas mengenai identitas gender nonkonvensional dalam masyarakat modern.

Abstract

This study refers to the low level of student collaboration in mathematics learning. The purpose of writing this article is based on the lack of interaction and role of students in the mathematics learning process on the circle material. Students just sit, keep quiet, listen to the teacher's explanation (teacher centered), so that students are not ready to master the learning material. Where students only learn with a memorization system so that mathematics learning becomes less meaningful. This study aims to improve student collaboration on circle material through the Numbered Head Together (NHT) learning model. This study uses a classroom action research (CAR) method with the Kurt Lewin model consisting of two meetings. Research data were collected using observation and tests. The results showed an increase in student collaboration after the application of the NHT learning model. At meeting I, the percentage of students was only 47%, increasing to 78.4% at meeting II. Thus, the NHT learning model has proven effective in improving collaboration on circle material.

Abstract

Mental disorders have become one of the global health problems today. Hallucinations are a nursing problem that is commonly found in mental disorders, especially schizophreni. Increase in the number of cases of hallucinations indicated the need for additional nursing interventions to assist nurses in providing care to patients experienxing auditory hallucinations. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of nursing care and the application of acceptance and commitment therapy on patients with auditory hallucinations, at the West Kalimantan Provincial Mental Hospital. This study uses a qualitative design with a case study approach. The main nursing diagnosis that was established was sensory perception disorders: auditory hallucinations. This study shows that there is a change in the frequency of hallucinations experienced to quite reduced, and the response to hallucinations experienced, such as behavior following orders from hallucinations, is reduced. There is a decrease in the PSYRATS score before the ACT, namely 26 to 15 after the ACT. Using evidence-based nursing ACT 6 sessions, nurses can provide nursing care for sensory perception disorders (auditory hallucinations) using the application of evidence-based nursing ACT 6 sessions.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the relational dialectical process of K-Pop Boyband fans with their parents, analyze the relational dialectic process of K-Pop Boyband fans with friends and analyze the relational dialectical obstacles of female K-Pop Boyband fans with their parents and friends. The research methodology that researchers use is a qualitative research method with a constructivist paradigm. The research results obtained are that the relational dialectical process of female K-Pop Boyband fans with their parents and friends includes four basic elements and four assumptions that exist in the dialectical perspective. The contradictions present in this relationship are shown by different views towards K-Pop and organized by the four research informants through three categories in the dialectic of interaction.

Abstract

The maternal mortality rate is the number of women who die during pregnancy (the 42 day period after giving birth). The higher maternal mortality rate, the lowest welfare of a country. The highest MMR in North Sumatra province 2021 was in Deli Serdang district with 23 cases. Therefore, health professional are required to have communication skills with therapeutic meaning. This study aims to analyze the influence of doctors' therapeutic communication and nurses' communication styles on the quality of services for pregnant women in hospitals deli serdang district. This quantitative research uses analytical observational methods with a cross sectional approach. Data collection was conducted on 97 pregnant women who consulted at the polyclinic gynecology and obstetrics at Drs. H. Amri Tambunan Hospital, Grandmed Hospital and Haji Hospital. The data collection technique was carried out by distributing a questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that that doctors' therapeutic communication influences the quality of service at the Deli Serdang district hospital. The nurse's communication style influences the quality of service at the Deli Serdang district hospital. There is an influence of doctors' therapeutic communication and nurses' communication styles on the quality service of hospital at the Deli Serdang district. Has a very strong relationship with a adjusted R square of 73.2%. The remaining 26.8% was influenced by other factors outside this research

Abstract

Halal tourism is a new way to promote one particular tourist destination, one of which is Takengon City in Aceh. By using qualitative research methods and data collection techniques through observation and interviews, this study aims to answer how halal tourism communicates in the perception of visitors in Takengon City. By interviewing 5 main informants who are visitors, and 3 triangulation informants who are traders at Takengon City tourism objects, it can be concluded that, for visitors to halal tourism communication carried out by the government, both verbal and nonverbal can increase comfort in traveling, because they can carry out worship according to Islamic law while enjoying the natural beauty of Takengon City. As for triangulation informants, halal tourism communication is considered to hinder Takengon City tourism from being known internationally.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze communication styles and communication barriers that occur between SIngle parent and Gen Z in the city of Kisaran. The informants in this research are SIngle parent who live in the city of Kisaran and have children from Gen Z. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The theory used in this research is communication styles and barriers which were coined by J.A Waters and Joseph de Vito to analyze the process of communication styles and communication barriers that occur between SIngle parent and Gen Z children. The number of informants in this research to achieve saturated data is seven informants divided into two categories, five main informants and two triangulation informants. Data collection techniques were carried out using in-depth interviews and observation. The results of the research show that the communication style used by SIngle parent is an assertive communication style, parents are more active in communicating first and try to actively communicate with their children. Communication barriers that occur between SIngle parent and Gen Z children are physiological barriers, namely disturbances that occur in the communication process due to the physical or biological conditions of the individuals involved, such as visual disturbances from SIngle parent, and semantic barriers, disturbances that occur in the communication process due to differences. the meaning or interpretation of the words and symbols used such as language differences between parents and their children
