Abstract

This study describes the Sanger Coffee which is between cultural media and diplomacy. This research uses descriptive research with a qualitative research approach. The research locations taken were several coffee shops around Jalan Doctor Mansur, Padang Bulan, Medan City. The unit of analysis in this study is Sanger Arabica in coffee shop media and diplomacy. The key informants in this research are people who form diplomacy in coffee shops and additional informants are people who form social networks in coffee shops around Padang Bulan Village. Data analysis using data interpretation techniques. The results of the study show that when people consume Sanger Coffee in a coffee shop, it becomes a place for free discussion by the community about the current socio-political and cultural conditions that occur around the community. In addition, Sanger Coffee is used as a tool to express oneself and create a micro network social for coffee shops.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out consumer perceptions Aeki Cerita Kopi of coffee shop against coffee culture as a community lifestyle in Medan City. The method in this study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The location of the research that was taken was Aeki Cerita Kopi of coffee shop which was located on Jalan Kirana Raya No. 38, Central Petisah, Medan Petisah District, Medan City. The results showed that consumer perceptions Aeki Cerita Kopi of coffee shop through consumer lifestyles were oriented towards coffee beverage products. Even though consumers at home are already enjoying coffee drinks or the like like in a shop, consumers still buy at the coffee shop. Environmental factors greatly influence consumers to drink coffee in a coffee shop, both in the home environment, in the office environment, and in the campus environment.

Abstract

Pelayanan publik yang transparan, akuntabel, dan efisien menjadi prioritas utama pemerintah Indonesia. Pengelolaan data kearsipan oleh lembaga seperti Kearsipan Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) mempunyai peran sentral dalam menunjang pelayanan publik yang berkualitas. Namun tantangan pengelolaan dokumen yang efektif, terutama dalam konteks kecepatan, aksesibilitas, dan kualitas, memerlukan inovasi. Penelitian ini berfokus pada Kantor Kearsipan USU dengan menggunakan Model Loveluck sebagai kerangka penelitiannya. Model ini mencakup prinsip-prinsip bukti nyata, keandalan, daya tanggap, jaminan dan empati untuk mengevaluasi kualitas pelayanan publik. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi aspek pelayanan publik di Kantor Kearsipan USU melalui metode studi kasus, survei, analisis dokumen, wawancara, dan analisis data kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kearsipan USU menawarkan beragam layanan, antara lain penelitian komparatif, penelitian, dan magang yang banyak diminati pengguna. Website dan media sosial digunakan untuk meningkatkan akses terhadap informasi. Pengukuran kualitas pelayanan meliputi faktor Tangible (penampilan dan fasilitas), Reliability (kehandalan informasi), Responsiveness (tanggapan terhadap keluhan), Guarantee (menjamin kualitas data) dan Empathy (memperhatikan pengguna). Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan mengenai tantangan dan peluang pengelolaan data kearsipan di lingkungan akademik. Hasil yang diperoleh diharapkan dapat meningkatkan standar pelayanan publik di Kearsipan USU dan memberikan kontribusi terhadap pemahaman yang lebih baik mengenai pengelolaan data kearsipan dalam konteks pelayanan publik di Indonesia

Abstract

Transparency in public services is something that shows the existence of truth and justice. Truth and justice can improve an agency's self-image and can gain full trust from the public. Moreover, transparency of job vacancies is what society needs most at this time. The aim of this research is to analyze @pjkusu Instagram uploads in implementing job vacancy information transparency and describe communication and public services in implementing job vacancy information transparency on @pjkusu Instagram based on the manager's perspective. This research uses qualitative methods with a focus on observation, in-depth interviews and literature study. The results of this research are that the Instagram account @pjkusu has implemented transparency in job vacancy information because the information is uploaded directly from the direction of the company providing the job vacancy.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of public service quality and institutional image on student satisfaction, as well as its impact on student word of mouth at UIN North Sumatra. We used probability sampling techniques with proportional stratified random sampling, with 80 respondents. Data analysis was carried out using path analysis. The research results show that service quality has a positive effect on student satisfaction. Likewise, a strong institutional image also increases student satisfaction. In addition, an indirect influence was found between service quality and institutional image on student satisfaction through institutional image and service quality respectively. There is also a simultaneous influence between service quality and institutional image on student satisfaction. The better the quality of service and image of the institution, the higher student satisfaction. Student satisfaction has a positive impact on word of mouth. The implications of this research suggest improvements in service quality and institutional image to increase student satisfaction. This is important to increase marketing through word of mouth as an effective communication and marketing medium in facing increasingly fierce higher education competition.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the application of therapeutic communication therapists in increasing social interaction of children with autism in SLB Negeri Autis Medan. The research method used is a case study method with a qualitative approach. The research subjects were 3 (three) therapists at SLB Negeri Autis Medan and 2 (two) triangulation informants, they are parents of autistic children who school in SLB Negeri Autis Medan and one as  psychologist. Data collection techniques using in-depth interviews and the theory used as a reference in this research is the theory of relationship building in therapeutic communication which is derived from interpersonal communication theories. The research findings after the data is saturated and fulfiiled show that the application of therapeutic communication therapy in increasing social interaction of children with autism is by using the ABA method and through the stages of assessment, observation, self-introduction and environment and classical class. The findings also indicate that there are supporting factors as well as inhibiting factors for the application of therapeutic communication therapy, namely acceptance and parental participation, therapeutic methods, therapeutic media, the ability of therapists, the severity of children with autism and dietary food. The researcher concluded that the application of therapeutic communication therapy in increasing the social interaction of children with autism in SLB Negeri Autis Medan using the ABA method and through four (4) stages was appropriate in increasing social interaction and communication of children with autism in the school environment.

Abstract

The City Government (Pemko) of Medan prohibits every person or entity from littering as stated in the Mayor’s Regulation (Perwal) Number 6 of 2015 with sanctions of imprisonment and/or fines. Even so, it can be seen around Street Letda Sujono, Medan Tembung, Medan City, several waste dumping points as proof of the society ignocancy. One of the outreach efforts that can be carried out by local officials or participants is to put up warning banners contains rules and criminal sanctions message for violators. This research is based on Max Weber's Bureaucratic Theory, Lasswell's communication formulation, and Ruben and Steward's public communication perspective. Using Observation and interviews in collecting data then the data is tested for validity using Conscientization which will produce historical situation (ideography) and untiy theory and Praxis. The results of the research show that (1) There are 12 trash dumps in one part of the Bandar Selamat sub-district, the largest of which is located in Sector VII, (2) There is an unwritten schedule of the violator who tend to leave trash bags during the cleaning staff's operating hours, (3) The Village Head and Sector VII Head (Kepling VII) have carried out a series of prevention and maintenance efforts as instructed by the Medan Tembung Subdistrict Head, but no significant changes have been found. (4) The feedback of the residents of Sector VII regarding the banner with the message "3 Month of Imprisonment, 10 Million IDR Fine" is negative, this is influenced by the difference of education level among the society, experience, occupation, economic strata and socio-demography, (5) Kepling VII gives advice to the Head of Medan Tembung District to appoint one cleaning officer for all twelve sectors. Finally, as a suggestion, the ineffectivity of communicative counseling can be carried through law enforcement channels that aim for violators.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang komunikasi politik Ganjar Pranowo melalui personal branding sebagai bakal calon presiden pada kontestasi Pemilihan Presiden tahun 2024. Komunikasi politik yang dilakukan seorang politisi pada dasarnya adalah manifestasi dari tujuan yang ingin dicapai. Dalam kaitannya dengan komunikasi politik, media sosial menjadi sarana baru untuk membranding diri kepada masyarakat, baik dari kalangan biasa maupun dari kalangan politisi. Para calon presiden mulai membangun citra dan kesan positif untuk meraih simpati publik. Begitu pula halnya dengan Ganjar Pranowo. Pembentukan citra ini dilakukan melalui banyak media massa, salah satunya adalah media online. Penelitian ini mencoba membahas terkait personal branding yang dilakukan Ganjar Pranowo melalui instagram pribadinya. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan dalam penyusunan artikel ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan memanfaatkan data sekunder yang ada di media online kemudian menganalisis data temuan yang ada. Berdasarkan hasil penelusuran yang telah dilakukan penulis, maka dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa media sosial instagram memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk citra politik. Selain itu, dapat dilihat bahwa Ganjar Pranowo memiliki citra yang demokratis dan merakyat. Kata Kunci: Komunikasi Politik, Ganjar Pranowo, Citra Politik, Personal Branding

Abstract

Abstrak - Pre marital screening atau pemeriksaan kesehatan sebelum menikah menjadi hal yang wajib saat ini dilakukan oleh para calon pengantin sebagai upaya pencegahan stunting pada bayi. Program ini disandingkan dengan kegiatan pemberian bimbingan pra nikah yang dilakukan oleh Pemerintah Kota Langsa. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis dan mengevaluasi proses komunikasi dan kualitas pelayanan publik berdasarkan lima indikator yaitu tangible, realibility, responsiveness, assurance dan emphaty dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif melalui wawancara dan pengamatan langsung peneliti. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa kelima indikator sudah dilakukan dengan baik dan penuh persiapan. Pemerintah Kota Langsa bersinergi dengan berbagai lembaga dan kementerian seperti KUA, BNN, Puskesmas dan BKKBN untuk memberikan edukasi seputar kehidupan pernikahan dan pemeriksaan kesehatan oleh petugas. Proses komunikasi antara petugas dan calon pengantin berjalan efektif. Adanya media Aplikasi Elsimil membantu petugas dan calon pengantin dalam menyampaikan informasi, merekam dan menganalisis data kesehatan calon pengantin sebagai upaya mencegah stunting pada bayi yang akan dilahirkan. Kata Kunci : Pre marital screening, komunikasi, pelayanan publik, calon pengantin Abstract - Pre marital screening or medical examination before marriage is now mandatory for prospective brides as an effort to prevent stunting in infants. This program is combined with activities to provide pre-marital guidance carried out by the Langsa City Government. The purpose of the study was to analyze and evaluate the communication process and the quality of public services based on five indicators, namely tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy by using qualitative research methods through interviews and direct observation of researchers. The results of the study reveal that the five indicators have been carried out well and fully prepared. The Langsa City Government synergizes with various institutions and ministries such as KUA, BNN, Puskesmas and BKKBN to provide education about married life and health checks by officers. The communication process between officers and brides-to-be is effective. The existence of the Elsimil Application media helps officers and brides-to-be in conveying information, recording and analyzing the health data of prospective brides as an effort to prevent stunting in babies who will be born. Abstract

Phenomenal problems that have hit Myanmar have recently been in the spotlight of the mass media. The existence of a group of Buddhist extremists who commit violence against adherents of other religions gives its own color. Discrimination based on ethnic conflict between the majority and minorities is not only identified by religious elements, but also accompanied by political, social, cultural and economic elements. Government instability also supports the spread of this increasingly prolonged conflict. In fact, the existence and teachings of the Buddha on nibbana are also questionable. Nibbana is the ultimate reality, which is said to be a situation or condition where humans experience peace and emptiness when faced with the reality of violence that causes suffering, especially for Rohingya Muslims. The theological approach that can be offered in resolving such conflicts is comparative theology which boils down to dialogue of works. However, before reaching this stage, a theological disposition is needed by returning to their respective originality, strengthening their identity roots first and then establishing dialogue and cooperation with those who differ in comfort, openness, and harmony.
